Seats are a bit small so it feels squished. Cords are taped on the floor, creating a tripping hazard. Hopefully the remodel will help with these things. Beautiful theater otherwise. Enjoyed the art in the hallway. Great sound in the theater.

This was our first time at the Ellen Eccles Theater as we just recently moved to the area, and it far exceeded our expectations. The performance (Annie) was outstanding with first rate acting, singing, orchestra and scenery/props/etc. We had a great conversation with one of the ushers who told us all about the theater and her favorite places to sit. All the staff we encountered were friendly and helpful. Parking and theater access were a breeze with no traffic or huge crowds to fight which has been the norm other places weve lived. We were excited to hear they have programming year round and are looking forward to the next show.Very pleasant experience from start to finish. Cant wait to go back!

We have loved coming to a lot of different performances here. It ranges from seeing my friends in a variety of plays, or going to a summer Opera. I am always so impressed with how well they do with the stage and the amazing performers. Oklahoma and Mamma Mia have been my favorites so far. Go early enough to get good parking!

This theatre is absolutely gorgeous! I had no idea how classy it is on the inside! We went to see the music man and we were so impressed by the talents and skills we have right here in cache valley! My wife and I enjoyed this every bit as much as the larger more expensive productions weve been too. If you havent checked out this place you need to! And if you can get in before they finish running the music man than you are in for a real treat!

The theater is beautiful. Its been recently restored. The Ladies room is quite nice with very private stalls. The volunteer ushers are friendly and professional. You could not ask for better entertainment. Plays, operas, musicians, dancers, circuses, magicians, they honestly do have something for everyone. The perfect getaway from the ordinary.

Ive seen many shows here and Ive loved, loved, loved every single one! The building is full of so much history with its ornate wood and plaster work, its stunning tile art, and breathtaking architecture. The stage is a good size and the pit below the stage provides good sound coupled with the acoustics in the place. The only thing I would critique is the seats in the balcony. The seats on the floor are comfortable and spacious but the seats on the balcony are tiny and placed very close to each other. There is next to no leg room. All in all, I would 10 out of 10 recommend.

The hardwood armrests hurt the elbows. The seats are too narrow and not enough leg and feet room. However, the performances are so amazing that you get pulled into the performance and thoroughly enjoy the experience. In other words, the quality of the performance outweighs the seat inconvenience.

The Ellen Eccles Theatre is a good venue with lots of potential. I recognize that they are going through some renovations right now, and that is why I still gave them a 4-star rating in spite of the visible construction throughout the play that we attended.I am happy to see that they are honoring the historical significance of the playhouse while completing the renovations and look forward to visiting again after they are completed.

We had a great time watching Camelot. The performance of all the cast members was great. The theater is a bit on the cold side, but they have blankets if you forgot your coat. Take the time to have a great evening with your family and bring them to a musical. You wont regret it.

We went and saw Into the Woods. It was a really good play. Fun and funny. I do love the feel and look of this old theater. The seats are kind of close together on the balcony. This makes it hard to move about. But you dont have too worry about having your view blocked by the head in front of you. The concessions are a bit on the expensive side. Costing two dollars for a small bag of skittles.

The show was seriously amazing! Im giving it 2 starts because the seating is very crammed and uncomfortable. It was so hot that it was unbearable at times. We also had an usher ask us if we were in the right spot during intermission. He told us that Mr. Ballam wont let people move. Ok?? I guess you cant take a break during intermission. Said usher proceeded to watch us like a hawk the rest of the time. I was enjoying myself despite the crammed hot seating until the usher came because he thought he knew what our intentions were. We have tickets to see Newsies as well and now I dont even want to return if this is going to be the experience. I pay $60 for tickets and then am made to feel like I shouldnt even be there. Dont get out of your original seat to go to the bathroom, take a break or move for anyone else stuck in your row because Mr. Hawk/power hungry usher will find you and interrogate you! And we were only 6 feet away from our original seat while we waited for our row to fill back in because we were on the end. Did you double and triple check us? Oh you bet! But thats not enough! Please stare at us for 5 more min to show your dominance and power. Please make it so bad that I couldnt even laugh at the funny parts of the second half of the show and now I dont want to return.

Attended the musical The Scarlet Pimpernel. Theater is beautiful. The orchestra did well. The cast was exceptional. The leads had wonderful voices. The Scarlet Pimpernel & mens League and Madame St Just excelled in their performances. Ive seldom hear such a fine strength & blend of mens voices as in the League . The standout was Chauvelin in his voice, portrayal and passion for the roll.

Review №81

The Ellen Eccles theater is a beautiful historic theater located in downtown Logan. They offer themselves as a venue for different productions, the last of which I attended was Thriller by Odyssey Dance Theater. As a venue its completely charming, old architecture that has been refurnished and restored to maintain an antique aura. The layout of the theater being in an antique style leaves the rows very close together. There is also a lack of ventilation which makes the balcony rows very warm when they have a full house. Some of these technical elements may make the theater a bit uncomfortable, however the wonderful staff, the excellent upkeep, and the charm of stepping into the past make this venue a great place to visit.
