Wonderful childrens theatre! I was totally impressed w/ the ability of these young people to handle Shakespearean dialogue! Beautifully conversational w/extremely relaxed, natural movement and gesturing.Great job, young people, director and off stage cast ! Ill be back !

This is a great youth theatre! Nancy puts her whole heart into everything she does. She teaches the kids so much and they have so much fun learning from her. The shows are always a lot of fun! If you are looking for a new creative outlet for your child, check out their programs - there is constantly a show going!! If you are looking for somewhere to take a child and expose them to live theatre, you will not be disappointed.

This youth theatre, Nancy and all the people has inspired my girls to dive even deeper into theatre. If it wasnt for Nancys unwavering support and education, I really do not know where the girls would be today. Try this theatre out. You will learn so much, work with great kids and adults AND it is so affordable. Bravo! Thank you so much.

Motor City Youth Theatre and the directors is an amazing showcase for young actors and actress! The plays that they chose, whether musicals, Shakespeare or drama are all performed at a very high level! As a parent of one of the cast members I can attest to the growth in confidence and stage presence that my child has attained while working with MCYT in all the productions she has been in. The directors recognize talent and dedication in the actors and as they grow are given greater roles. I highly recommend this for any young actor/actress to learn and grow and as a viewer the shows are magical to watch!

Nancy is absolutely amazing. She doesn’t just cast youth and produce a show. She teaches the kids how to choreograph songs, how to stage scenes and more. She builds confidence in the youth and teaches acceptance of all people. Our family loves MCYT. Additionally, Nancy recently conducted an improv workshop for my place of employment to improve communication skills. She was the breakout session of the day. All of my colleagues raves about how engaging, honest and fun the workshop was. I highly recommend her program to everyone!!

Started my love for theatre and is a great safe space for all kids! No favorites, no seniority, gives every kid an opportunity! Gives kids of all levels of experience a chance to be in the spotlight!

My daughter has learned so much over the past few years at MCYT! She loves spending her Saturdays there and says how much fun Nancy makes the theatre experience. I have seen her blossom into a more confident young lady because of the theatre. The kids learn singing, dancing, staging, lighting, sound, and more in a fun, caring environment.

This is a great experience! The kids have fun and they learn so much. The director, the venue, the costumes, everything is awesome!

The shows & classes at Motor City Youth Theatre have developed all of my kids (4 girls) into more confident young ladies. Even my one daughter who only did one Broadway Basic class years ago, uses that confidence on the volleyball court today.As an adult I became involved in the Motor City Players and have been a part of wonderful shows like Great Ghost Chase, Lady Pirates of Captain Bree, Dirty Work at the Crossroads, and Sleepy Hollow. They were awesome experiences and turned out to be terrific shows.Whether your interested in attending a class or attending a show as a spectator, you will LOVE it!Kudos to Nancy & the Gang!!

Motor City Youth Theatre a is a non profit venue allowing local children to select areas of interest and learn stagecraft, acting, literature, dance, and musical performance etc. The MCYT plays exemplify the dedication of staff, instructors, parents and youth collaborating and valuing hard work, team building and stepping out of their comfort zone. Great resource!

Absolutely love MCYT!! Abigail has learned so much over the past 2 years. She loves to perform, she loves all the wonderful friends she has made. She loves Nancy. My son recently was in his first production and he loved being up on stage so much. They teach the kids that they can do anything and not to be afraid to try. Nancy is Amazing!! So patient and kind.I would recommend MCYT for everyone! ️

We love MCYT! Its been our experience that each youth theatre weve experienced has something different to offer. What Nancy and Toni give the kids is a safe place to express themselves, grow, make friends and stretch themselves in ways they may not otherwise have a chance to with other theaters. There is so much joy in every performance! Its almost like being in my basement and watching a show all the neighbor kids came over to put on! The kids take part in every aspect of the production and Nancy is always offering great workshops! My daughter and I both love MCYT and wish we were closer so we could play more with our friends at MCYT!

Our Family (4daughters) have had a 15+ year history working with Nancy and crew at MCYT and it has been an AMAZING experience. Theatre helps kids in many aspects of life: self confidence, maturity, responsibility and the ultimate test of teamwork. My daughters are doing great things with much of the credit going to MCYT. Highly recommend ️️The Faciones are BIG MCYT fans!

My daughter was in 3 productions. Great experience for a low price. Operated through parent participation. Not many parts for kids under 8, but great early exposure.

I really enjoyed the play!!! Very talented young boys & girls. Keep it up young stars...

You will never find a jewel if the community like this one.

Primarily under the leadership of the tenacious Nancy Florkowski, Motor City Youth and now Adult theatrical productions have served the entire Detroit Metropolitan area for over 25 years.. Students flock from the far reaching suburbs to study in one of the Motor City classes in acting, clowning, improvisation, set design, and playwrighting.. One is enriched in terms of accomplishment as well as increased self esteem when they find that they are capable of standing on a stage, performing in a play. For the young participants, especially, this kind of experience can be life-changing.Attention must be paid to organizations that touch so many young lives- such as The Motor City Players. After finally establishing a theatre of their own, these hearty and talented folks receive much congratulations.

Plenty of parking, and seating. Enjoyed tbe play. Very close to home.

Have taken my grandchildren and always been a positive experience for them...
