Great gem to come across driving through town. We had their burgers. They were HUGE, hand made and delicious! They have gluten free options as well (buns, bread, pancakes, French toast AND pizza crust)! I had the One Eyed Jack burger with homemade fries (pictured here). They serve breakfast as well. Will stop again and recommend.

We ordered 49er for lunch at my work. All the burgers were supposed to be Medium and were all burnt to a crisp and dry as could be. Some of the orders of fries were completely white and uncooked. Onion rings were very overcooked and they forgot the dressing for the only salad on the order... Highly Dissatisfied

Disappointing at best.To start off, i will say they have the best french toast in town.... when cooked properly. In the 5 times ive eaten here, its been spot on once. Most recently i ordered a very simple easy breakfast. 2 french toast and 2 scrambled eggs. The french toast came with small bits of burnt pancake stuck all over the place, as well as other pancake pieces on the plate. The eggs were as bland as can be, and they were not scrambled. Im honestly not sure how they were cooked. Looked like maybe they just got dumped on a grill and left til done.The servers do a good job but simply arent enough to keep up. Waited about 20 minutes after finishing for my bill. Could be a problem for someone trying to eat and run for work, etc.

Great staff but food is meh and overpriced for what you get. The burgers are creative as far as toppings but the meat itself was rubbery, tasted like it was freezer burnt. The soup was made using a salt lick. Hubbys Montana melt sandwich tasted like my burger so grill cleaning might be iffy for anyone with allergies. The only thing being enjoyed was the hot dog kids meal.Just spend the extra $20 on the bill across the street at Rib and Chop for a real burger and fresh, decent food.

Food was burnt, waitress took cup for refill and never brought it back and the cooks were standing there not working.

Hard to argue with the affordable great good provided by the 49er. Local greasy spoons are always the best.

Low lighting, good cheap drinks, and pretty decent food. Staff keep an eye on you and bring what you need almost before you need it. Great for Sunday football brunch and late night pizza.

Great place for burgers and other sandwiches. I have always been a big fan of the omelettes and breakfast skillets and the kids menu isnt bad. Everyone is always very nice and super friendly.

Best bar in Livingston!!!! Karoke every Saturday night, live bands the first friday of every month and on holidays...and the 49er has the best bartenders! Its definitely my go to for dinner or drinks with friends!!

The Sunday morning buffet is awesome! All you can eat, reasonably priced, great wait staff.

I was tempted to give this place fewer stars but perhaps it would not do justice to those who like this sort of food. This is a typical greasy-spoon bar with some creative burgers. I prefer salads but was disappointed with mine. I also had some of my spouses burger. It was not that good going down and i felt it for the following day. My kids prefer burgers and hotdogs but they did not like it either.
