Love this little trail because it only takes about 30-35min to walk, it’s about 1.5-1.6mi. Some parts have shade but most is open, the water level is super low right now but still offers some great views. If you’re looking to get out of the house without a huge walking commitment- this is the place.

Good place to get in a nice walk. Scenery is pretty good. Lake is pretty low but people still fish. Can get busy at times only one bathroom unless you dont mind using a tree or bush

Great little spot to do a little bit of walking. Not a whole lot of shade to hang out in but the way that theyve built up the wildlife preserve section is amazing. We used to walk our dog here and allow her to swim where they have all the bird sanctuary stuff now and it just looks so good.

It was beautiful at sunset time! I was surprised at how low the water level is though. Lots of people out enjoying the trail.

It has a great outer perimeter trail thats good for a 20 minute stroll. I knocked a star because there isnt much cover from the summer sun. The parking is close and not usually full.

We really enjoy taking a walk around this neighborhood park. There are benches all around the lake for you to sit and take a break. Although, after it rains or the snow melts, beware that it can get a bit muddy since the trails are all dirt. The best place to park is the lot on the east side off of Kipling next to the fire station. Dogs must be on a leash and bikes are allowed. If you found this review helpful, please give it a thumbs up. Enjoy!

Great lake to walk the dog and get some good views of red rocks. Great benches to sit and watch the sunset over the mountains. There are fenced off areas protecting the natural wetlands so youll see a lot of different birds and other wildlife

This a popular place for winged creatures. All summer long you can hear a symphony of red-winged blackbirds, Canadian geese will land in droves, and great blue herons and pelicans are regulars during the summer months. A dirt path will take you around the lake, frequented by runners and dog walkers.-Chris and Katie

Nestled between the Harriman Lake neighborhood, a federal prison, and a county frisbee disc golf course, this man made lake is the perfect place to escape for a quiet stroll around the lake with the dog. There are plenty of rocks for all sizes, age groups, and skill level to throw into the water. Parking is limited, so get there early. Insect and bugs like to congregate on the south side of the trail. This lake park adventure is what is sounds like. Not flashy. Not grandeous. Just a nice man made reservoir with a trail around it. Enjoy as prescribed.

This is a nice walk for the morning or evenings. Probably not worth traveling very far to visit; however its a nice little lake if you live near by. There is very little shade throughout, so if your not waking in the cooler part of the day be prepared to bring sunscreen, and the trail is not paved so sandals might not be the best option.

I live right next to it and love living next to water. Fairly clean, I dont see a lot of dog poop laying around. There are trash cans around the lake for people to clean up and they seem to. They reserve parts of it doesnt the wildlife which makes it feel like an oasis of wilderness in the city. The kids love to fish and throw rocks in the water. There is also a new park nearby where they love to play. Beautiful in all seasons.

I live within walking distance to this Lake and park. Its probably one of the prettiest Lakes to walk around because of the view. Its the perfect size for a walk around in under 45 minutes. Theyve done a good job maintaining it as a nature preserve as well. It always puts me in the right head space When I visit this Lake.

This park is quiet and quaint with plenty of parking and views for days. I like to just go out and walk the lake two or three times and clear my mind. People are very respectful here the only thing I would give a heads up about is the trails are not paid sidewalks so needless to say it is not a path that is friendly to skinny road bike tires.

Went fishing here a couple weekends ago. We were walking around the shore and found a duck with a hook in its beak, tangled to a bush. Luckily I had my tackle box with a pair of pliers in it. I had to clip the hook and pull it out. So if you do see hooks or stray fishing line, try to pick it up, fo the sake of tasty ducks everywhere. Also perfect scenery to gaze at while plowing your significant other in the butt.

The lake is pretty, but the setting by the intersection of Kipling and Quincy isnt. Theres no real trail development. On the lakes south side its a road. You can take a walk here, but its nothing memorable.
