Hands down Colorado Clownfish is the best swimming school around if you want to teach your children how to swim. But that is not all that they have to offer. A proud military family, they have also offered training to my adult son prior to his departure to United States Marine Corp boot camp. Because water training isnt just about being able to swim, it is about being able to tread water, fully clothed with your gear. I cannot thank Mike and the whole crew at Colorado Clownfish enough for giving my son the experience ahead of time so that he would have to confidence to do well during water week.

I can’t say enough good things about Clownfish. My 4yr and 3yr absolutely love going to their weekly swim lessons! (wasn’t always the case where we have been). There is something incredibly effective and stimulating about their program and the coaching style —really motivates and resonates with the kids. It’s personalized and tailored for the exact needs of each individual kiddo. And is an absolute joy as a parent to watch and observe from the sidelines. Both my boys have progressed noticeably faster in just 2-lessons than where we came from. So glad a friend referred us here!

This is one of the best swim schools in the country! Their priority is safety, but they also focus on fun so the kids love to learn. The swim curriculum is more dialed in that we have seen at other places and the teachers truly care! We highly recommend them - the whole community is great!

This is the best swim lessons in south Denver, and Ive tried them all. The instructors teach and challenge the kids while keeping it fun. I have 4 kids, and I wouldnt go anywhere else with them. We all love it!

The instructors are wonderful with all of my children. Each one has a different personality in the water and the coaches make sure they all get the help they need to feel confident. Truly a gem.

These guys are a family business, they really treat you like family. Their pedagogy is research-based best practices, what they teach our children just makes sense. Got my kids in as young as possible, and its really brought me peace of mind about my kids around water.

Our children have been taking lessons at Clownfish for 4 years. We have been so impressed with all the instruction our children have received. The instructors are so good with small children. They ensure they are learning proper strokes, water safety and having fun all the while. We also appreciate that the lessons are offered on week nights as our children have games for their sports at varied times on Saturdays which makes it hard for a regular lesson time. The staff care about each and every student and are always pushing to improve.

This place is amazing! My oldest is swimming like a champ and my youngest boy is catching up fast. Its all thanks to the wonderful instructors here. The class sizes are small so the kids all get the attention they need. Its a family owned business and you can tell by the love and care they give. My boys have had lessons at a nearby rec center and it was awful. So glad I found this place and I feel so much better spending the summer on the water this year.

I can’t say enough great things about Clownfish Swimming. The staff treats you with such kindness. It is truly a family run business with great instructors. We have been coming here for five years! Love this place. We have been swimming with Matt and Diana for over a year. Never had a bad lesson. Even if my little is crabby they are wonderful with him and take the time to make him feel better. Have never pushed him to do something he didn’t want or was uncomfortable with. My little just loves them too and looks forward to going every week.

This place is amazing! The instructors are out of this world! I brought my son her in a last ditch attempt to find an amazing place and I did! His swimming has grown so much in just a few months! He absolutely loves coming here because they make it fun while teaching them things that are important! They have no clue theyre learning cuz they are having so much fun!

Wonderful place,my 5 yo absolutely loves taking her lessons, she is very comfortable in the water and she is swimming now,I am impressed on how well she is doing considering she just started a couple of months ago and she was taking lessons once a week,but due to her really loving it she is taking 2 lessons a week now. I highly recommend Mr Matt,Ms Diana and Mr Victor. The front end staff is awesome too.

Absolutely a night and day difference from other places we’ve tried...developmentally age-appropriate, engaging, and so much fun! Our kids were empowered to learn water safety and become stronger swimmers. As parents, we’re grateful that their lessons were tailored to their individual needs and they never moved on until they mastered a skill...safety is the top priority here. As an elementary/preschool teacher, I’m really impressed with the positive and respectful environment they’ve established with kids and parents alike, all while having solid expectations for the kids.

My kids have taken swim lessons at Colorado Clownfish for a number of years. We started with them when they first opened and my kids were tiny. Now both of my kids are in their highest-level classes, perfecting their strokes. We have had all three of the mainstay teachers: Dianna, Matt and Victor, and we have been nothing but pleased. Over the years they have moved through teaching my kids the basics of being comfortable in the water, essential swimming and life-saving skills, and now proper stroke technique, diving and flip turns.Cody in the front office is also great, making sure scheduling fits everyone’s needs and when I have had billing issues, he has fixed them promptly.Most of all, they really just love our kids and have developed great relationships with them over the years. I have recommended this swim school to countless friends, relatives and neighbors. It is a great place for kids to learn the invaluable skill of swimming and we have been really grateful to have them as a resource for our family!

Mediocre experience, we went for 4 months, 1st month she learned a lot then she was stagnant. The teacher never corrected her strokes and I felt like never really watched. I had to show her at home. Also, the locker/ shower area is really poor. Showers are like communal prison showers and boys were in there while my 8 year old daughter was. She refused to change and shower there. So, for the cost we will go somewhere else. Also, no one asked why we left. If I were a small family company, I would ask. Seems like new kids every other week, so obviously don’t care.

Colorado Clownfish is the most amazing place for swim lessons! All of the instructors are fantastic and really love the kids and they seem to really enjoy teaching. I only go in the summers, due to school, and my oldest, who will be 6 in a couple of weeks, has improved so much within the few months he has been there. I am so impressed with everyone there. Diana, Matt, and Victor are the best instructors and their techniques really work for kids. I cannot wait to go back next summer with my kiddos!!

If small class sizes, engaging, patient, kid-loving teachers, convenient times, and great rates are important to you when looking for a place to bring your kiddos for swim lessons, then come here. Youll be hard-pressed to find anything to complain about.

The entire coaching staff is top notch. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anybody.I tried the local Rec Center (The Ridge) and night and day difference. My son made zero progress during his three months at the Ridge. Colorado Clownfish had him up and functionally able to be able to self rescue inside a month and swimming (front stroke and back stroke) with in 2 months.

Wow! I can see why this place has stellar reviews! No glass around the pool so parents can see and hear what is going on, kind people with flexible attitude at the front desk (actually called me back after my initial enquiry the very next day), happy and kid friendly instructors (Mr Matt has a wonderful fun loving and warm teaching approach that the kids clearly love), free first time trial (followed up immediately after letting me know what he needs to improve on), lifesaver watching over all kids in the pool, toy corner for siblings etc., Plenty of comfortable seating for parents, plenty of parking right out front, clean change room with showers and shampoo/washing liquid. Very happy we have found them!!

Colorado Clownfish is awesome. They really understand how to make kids comfortable in the water and make progress with their swimming skills. Before my son (4 years old) took lessons there, he was very scared of the water. In just a couple of months he is going underwater, doing back floats, and swimming from his instructor to the wall of the pool. And he loves it! The staff emphasize safety in everything they do as well, which is great. You know your kids are not only learning to enjoy the water and improving their swimming skills, but also learning how to be safe in the water and handle the unexpected. We couldnt be happier with our experience at Colorado Clownfish!

The staff here is really friendly and really tries to work with your schedule. I used a Groupon and didnt get that youre a cheapo vibe from them at all which was great! Definitely going to be taking my kids here through the years!

Ive definitely found the place my 3.5 year old daughter is going to learn to swim with confidence. After a somewhat average 12 weeks of Pike/Eel lessons at the YMCA and a totally dismal, unimpressive experience of Goldfish classes at the Ridge Rec Center (where I jumped in fully clothed so save my child from drowning during a lesson), I decided to step up the quality of my little girls swim lessons and Im so happy I did. The Colorado Clownfish Swim Club is exactly what I was hoping for. The staff is professional and friendly and they take swim lessons very seriously. My little girl learned more skills and confidence in 30 minutes than she did in weeks of lessons at the other facilities. My daughter felt completely comfortable with the instructors who are kind but assertive and use helpful safety platforms made out of PVC submerged in the pool that the kids can hold on to and use to build their confidence by swimming from platform to platform. The instructors also kept my daughter fully engaged and active the whole lesson which is challenge. I am extremely impressed with the staff and I feel so relieved and happy to have finally found a swim club who cares about providing a challenging, encouraging and fun environment for kids to learn how to swim.
