Nicely stocked Arts outfitter. I wasnt expecting the wide variety of products. Better focus than the big box places like Michaels. Little Rock has needed a place like this for a long time.

Had a great experience taking my young artist & her friend to this shop! Employees were extremely welcoming & helpful but not pushy. The only negative is that A LOT of items didnt have price tags, so you might get an unpleasant surprise by how much you pay if youre not too shy to ask.

They have everything! Employees are friendly and knowledge. Its a little annoying that not all items are marked with prices, but the staff will check prices for you all day.

This set supply store is located right next to Vinos pizza downtown. They have convenient parking next to thier building so you dont have to park and walk. They have a good collection of art supplies. Thier staff is always helpful and nice. This store is a good option if Hobby Lobby doesnt have what youre looking for.

Always ready to give advice and even demonstrate. A little pricey but I find things here that I dont see anywhere else. They also have the cutest lil 4 legged babies to meet and greet. A true must go to.

Super knowledgeable staff, competitively priced with big box stores, quality merchandise! Rewards program, too! The only problem is that you may buy more than you initially intended, because there are so many unique supplies tempting you!

Employees were helpful and fun. I loved the demonstration from the guys with the art registry and the watercolor artist. I was really impressed and I learned something new.

I love this place! Real artists work there so they were able to answer my questions and gave me suggestions not only on a product but also on techniques. They test out and play with any new product they get in so they are knowledgeable about everything in the store. Seriously. Im inspired when I leave and I couldnt ask for anything more from an art store. Love them!

My art teacher suggested this place for getting art supplies for class. I liked that I got most of what I needed here for a decent price. I didnt have to go to 3 or 4 different places. The associates are very knowledgeable of their products.

Art outfitters has a great selection of art supplies, and from a range of brands/price points. Their selection of calligraphy supplies is superb. The staff are highly knowledgeable. However, of youre uncomfortable with high pressure sales environments, it can be difficult to shop here. I get that theyre trying to help-and make sales- but Ive yet to come in here and be able to just browse without somebody either hovering over my shoulder, or calling out over the counter to tell me something about everything I look at. I keep coming back because they have what I need, they know what theyre doing, and I want to support local businesses and the Little Rock art community in general, but I dont shop here near as often or buy as much on each trip as I would if they would just back off for two seconds. Its like going to a car lot with commission based salesmen- youre swarmed from the moment you enter, and it doesnt let up when you say youre just looking. As it stands, I go in, get what I need, and get out as quickly as possible.

I was just starting highschool in 1998 when my Dad first brought me to Art Outfitters (though I want to recall it went by a different name at the time). I immediately fell in love and have benefited from their products and services ever since. Its an artist wonderland wherein I must restrain myself from buying every item on the self. It makes me sad but keeps my bank account happy. I love that they let you try out and play with some of their products so you have a better idea of what youre spending your money on. Love this place and highly recommend it.

This is the only place in Little Rock to get professional grade archival paint, brushes, handmade paper, and product information. Very knowledgeable owner and staff. I love this place.

I drive 85 miles once a month to buy art supplies from Art Outfitters. They are very helpful with good prices and always have what you need and a lot more. If they dont have it they will get it for you. Most helpful with ordering large canvas sizes and odd size.

I love this store because 1) they have fine art supplies you can’t get elsewhere AND 2) the staff and the owner are artists and help with purchases and discovering better materials.

This place is just super fun with super friendly and knowledgeable staff.

They may have specific and obscure supplies that you cant buy anywhere else locally in person, but thats where the benefits end. They have a very limited number of brands (paint, paper, etc), and often dont stock more than a tube or two of certain paints. The owner is pretentious and manages to talk down to you regardless of what youre inquiring about or how little or much you know. Ive also been told things that are completely false about the supplies Ive purchased there, which leads me to believe that they cant even offer decent expertise. And of course, their prices are anything but competetive. Youre better off going to Hobby Lobby or Michaels for the basics and of course if youre not in a hurry, just order online.My bad experience is apparently unique. But I still think its fair for people to know about it.

Art Outfitters has an arrangement with our daughters school so all of her needed art supplies are assembled and bagged prior to the start of school. All we have to do is show up and pay for them. This is a real convenience for busy parents.
