Lake Gervais County Park

Nice. Its a popular location, but only four grills so if your planning on BBQ while swimming be prepared to wait for a grill to open up.Also, note there is no lifeguard so if you have little ones, make sure to keep a eye on them. Other than that, great location!

Lovely park. On a good day, there aren’t many people and picnic tables available.

A fairly quiet place to relax. There was broken glass on the walkway and quite a bit of food and some garbage thrown in the ground. If it werent for that it would be a really nice park.

Smaller but still nice. No lifeguard on duty. Bathrooms were closed. I am guessing this is because of Covid?!? But, there was a portapotty. Not sure what the difference is?

The water was really clean, caught a lot of fish. The landscape is beautiful and peaceful. Has a perfect little park picnic area with a couple little grills. Great place for a nice day with family.

Park is nice but could be cleaned more often. We watched the cty truck come thru early Sunday morning, deiver drove past garbage in the lot, stopped near the trash can, picked up one piece of trash and then drove off past all the garbage he passed on his way in.

Good little park, nice Sandy Beach going into the lake. Felt a bit run down honestly with a few sketchy boys hanging out around us. Other than that it was a cute little place to take the kid.

Would give a 5 but the mosquitoes bothered me wayy too much. It is still an amazing place nonetheless.

Beautiful park with a great little beach. Very family friendly. The pavilion bathroom is ok, and the walking trails are nice. Biggest downside is that there are not enough grills for the amount of picnic tables they have, so be prepared to bring your own - or come early if you want to make sure your get one.

Lovely small Park thats nicely clean and has a nice small area for the beach. Easy to keep my eyes on the kiddos when were at the park and beach side.

Great place to fish

Nice little park tucked away so it isnt usually too busy, bathrooms on site and you can fish, swim, or use playground, plus benches up on a wooded hill. Cons are sand for the playground (personal thing really, just think its messier and dirtier) and the beach also seemed a bit dirty and was very narrow. Also people tend to park there more than use the park itself which can feel a little shady but Ive never seen or had anything bad happen.

It was okay. Its small and pretty chill. If you dont like crowds this is a good spot. The water was pretty dirty compared to other beaches. There was no park for the kids. Just the Beach area. There are restrooms.

Short sand beach. Public restroom needs to be cleaned more regularly. Otherwise a nice calm sunny spot in good weather. Family friendly.

We were there for a ice fishing tournament. It was great weather and the recreation department did a great job. Lots of fun for fisherman and families. With lots of food and drink options. Well worth the time spent.

Old beach and small, old playground no boat launche

No complaints. Nice area. I just decided to go on a terrible day. Cold and raining. But I plan to return in mid summer..get some fishing in.

Awesome playground for kids of all ages. Nice swings for kids as well. Really nice beach. Nice wash off spray shower section outside for sandy feet or to shower after swimming. Clean bathrooms and overall extremely well taken care of park. My kids loved the playground and cant wait to go back and swim.

Pretty nice lake, gets pretty busy here during the summer days, okay fishing spot, some people though dont have respect for other people here. For ex. Boaters dont pay attention to fishers. Kids swimming and playing around by docks where people fish. Otherwise overall nice lake.

Great place to fish or bring family to the park. Be careful if youre gone for a while like if youre fishing check your car periodically. Mines been broken into before.

Very warm water! A fun place for family swims and boating. We saw lots of cool birds while on the water, including bald eagles.

It was nice and relaxing. The parking lot was closed but was still able to get in.

Beautiful, fishing pier, walking trail, swimming beach, playground. Very clean and well maintained. It is a fairly quiet park. Awesome for a nice lunch at the park then playtime for kids.

It is a nice little park with restrooms and a playground for the kids. It is on the small side for the north east suburbs, which has its advantages.

Beach is OK with a marked swimming area and there is now a fishing dock to the north of the beach. Good parking most days, but can fill beyond capacity when special events are held here.

Nothing but a lake and an old playground. You can swim at your own risk. Fishing is not great either.

Chill little beach, nice playground, shaded picnic area, good bathrooms, and outdoor shower. Overall everything you could need, and well maintained!

Quiet lake very close to the city. Lots of frustrated parents with kids and goose poop. Would like to come back later in the season to see if the beach quality improves.
