I was very excited to see the Suessical play this past weekend at Southshore Theater because my friends child was in it and I was happy to get out of the house after dealing with COVID since March. I arrived and while waiting on line to get in, the “director” of the play was arguing with customers because there was a mix up with their tickets. She was rude, unprofessional and belittling them in front of other people. I was embarrassed for them. The kids in the show acted their hearts out and I enjoyed every minute of watching them. Unfortunately their costumes were wrinkled, crooked and 5 sizes too big. It’s a shame because someone should have been in the back to help these kids with their costumes. Maybe instead of being rude to families that are coming to support and watch their loved ones, the “Director” should take more time to help out with costumes. And if she’s a stretched to thin, then put another adult back to help out. Very unprofessional! I was definitely disappointed

My kids have been members of the theatre for years. I can not say enough good things. Great shows, great service, great people and great value! If your in the Lindenhurst area I highly recommend you check their schedule of shows and try to see as much as you can see!

Came from out of town this was a poor theater experience and is run poorly in my eyes as well; I have been to many theaters small and large throughout the country and this by far is the least favorite! The seating is old, uncomfortable, also unsafe at times. Given the size of the venue it can be a serious fire hazard and the one bathroom to accommodate 30-40 people is ridiculous and is disgusting looks to not have been cleaned thoroughly in a long time.Customer service: FCleanliness: FManagement: DPerformance: A, for the actors/actresses performing each night they have a real talent.

This is a great venue, fun shows. My son and I go virtually every month for the magic show, one of the best most professional magic shows you can see. Very affordable fun.

Intimate place to see a great show put on by local talent that really give it their all!

My kids have all had wonderful experiences performing in the theater programs at Soutn Shore for the last 4 years. I have enjoyed every show I have gone to see, from children’s theatre to adult shows, as well as the Parlor of Mystery and the Murder Mystery nights. This theatre also supports our community by always making generous donations to school and Scout fundraisers. Definitely 5 stars!!

Amazing shows both adult and children’s shows, my son did children’s theater for years and we ended up with a lifetime of amazing memories, wouldn’t trade them for anything. Love the theater, cozy atmosphere and the actors really get into their part. Thank you South Shore Theatre for making a great night out.

Great show and the price was affordable only thing wish the seats were more comfortable. Also wish had better lighting so could read the program before the show or ar intermission. South Shore Theater is a inexpensive place where people can go see live Theater performances though so that is great.

My children have had a great experience learning theater here and have gained confidence and had lots of fun! They always look forward to the next show and have made some great friends in the process.

I was excited to go and see the magic show yesterday with my family the performers were amazing but the Owner/ticket woman was very rude to me and my family. I wasnt aware that you had to purchase your tickets online nowhere on the flyer did it say you had to And the lady looked Annoyed. We didnt have a ticket we thought I would buy it at the door, It was my husband and I two adult friends a 9 year old and 1 month old. For it to be a family friendly environment it was anything but even though they did accommodate us, I was told that if the baby cried during the show her exact words was I have to Get Out and leave the show. For a family friendly environment that wasnt so family family. I was appalled but I did tell the lady of course I would I wouldnt let a kid cry in a small place, at that pointi wanted to leave but i knew my daughter was looking forward to this. Where we were sitting the staff was constantly over my shoulder & And I had a local firefighter with me as well. Needless to say the acts are amazing and well worth seeing, just not at this place its not a family friendly environment.

I love performing at this theater. It draws full houses of enthusiastic audiences.

South Shore Theatre is a local gem. My kids and I have attended drama classes, camps, and quality shows. You wont be sorry choosing this theatre company for your family.

I was there for an improvisation comedy show. I really enjoyed it! Improv is iffy of course, but they were really good!
