It was the best thing we saw all day
It was fun to see this and read the history of its making. Worth stopping for 5 min if you have to stop for gas or food. Otherwise, just read about it as you drive on by.
I dont live too far from this and never even knew was there
If you are in the area stop by and see. A great Route 66 roadside attraction. The kids enjoyed it and a place to take some quick pictures to memorialize your trip.
Will never go back.. The employees were very rude
Its enormous and full of character. Lots of space around it, kind of a nice break from small town centers.
So cool
Very cool.
A fun break in your drive. Take some time and go. It is just minutes off the freeway.
Thats one of the most dumbest things i have ever seen..lincoln did not even step foot in this town...the true story about that wagon is a man tried to make a name for himself by having it built..and his daughter was very upset that she was not able to go to college over it...the wagon and the lincoln body does not match for a large scale
We love off the beaten path things. This was great.
Not much here but an enormous wagon. Nice, though. Quick stop, good photo opportunity. Plenty of parking, with easy access, so you can enjoy your visit.
Cool Route 66 and President Lincoln attraction
Not much to see
A cool little pitstop along Route 66. Great picture opportunity and some American History. Parking is free.
A very underrated place. There should be more love towards former president Lincoln.
It was a fun time to visit Lincoln Ill
Awesome!! Really enjoyed Route 66 Roadside Attractions!!
Its what youd expect; A big ol wagon! Great place for photos, and plenty of parking.
Historical US route 66 roadside attraction. the worlds largest Covered wagon. Great photo opportunity! Open to public 24 hours a day.
Its pretty sweet. There are some comfortable benches that allow you to sit and appreciate its size, and an informative placard gives a full history of the wagon. 10/10 would visit again.
Its o.k. however the hotel behind it will steal all the money in your bank account
The wagon is no longer covered
Nice stop on historic US RT.66
I come the this wagon frequently due to the fact that this wagon is a gym in Pokemon Go. While I am waiting to play Pokemon Go, I take the time to admire the landmark. The information for the wagon is still easy to read and is written in great detail.
Historical paradox. Covered wagons were for long journeys to the west. Abe Lincoln stayed in central Illinois and traveled by train.
Its a humongous covered wagon. Pretty impressive!
Drove 20 minutes out of the way, did not disappoint
It was fun.
Big wagon. Fun for quick stop.
Great place to visit along Route 66.
This is just so very cool!Definately worth the stop and see!
Very popular for photo ops. Nice!
Worth a stop while travelling Route 66. It is right on the historic route so you cant miss it.
Easy to find and just fun photo of along RT 66
Interesting for a quick stop. Nothing really there.
This was a great last minute find along the highway....
I dont know where to begin.Upon hearing the GPS tell us we were passing the largest covered wagon, both my traveling partner and I were most excited! Is there Admission? (No)Is it far from 72? (1.3 miles)Then we HAVE to go!!!Of course, we were excited! This was traveller history! Our first time seeing the worst Largest covered wagon. But what if I told you, it is indeed NOT a covered wagon, in that it is not a Wagon NOR Covered! We had very minimal expectations, but none were met.1) It is a wooden statue of a Wagon, with abraham lincoln riding at the front WHILE reading a book. Is this the qualities we want to teach our children?!2) No horses. What gives?! How does the statue/wagon move?3) It doesnt move. Its a statue.4) Lincoln is reading a book, WITH NO WORDS! Now I would understand if there were pictures, but the pages were completely blank! How are we supposed to believe hes reading at all?!5) You CANNOT CLIMB THE WAGON STATUE: to me, now in a fit of disappointed rage, i found this most egregious. Even if you wanted a nice photo op youd have to be a professional photographer to get the whole wagon in the image and not shoot people from below (which, psa: is a terrible angle for Everyone)If you have nothing to look forward to in life, then this may be the place for you.Im giving it 5 stars because it was free, and really, what can you expect?
Dont miss it!
