I love this dog park. Its clean and fully secured for off leash dogs. Easy to get to and nice parking. Seperate small dog and large dog areas. There is a watering station just outside by parking. Sometimes there is a really cool crowd of people and dogs and sometimes you have it to yourself. Highly recommend. My dogs come back tired and happy

Finally fixed the the DG course. Still needs help the flow is off on the back half. Hole 12 and13 and lets not forget 16,17 and 18. There is so much room out there you could put in 36 holes. But 2 new 150 ft holes the walk from 12 to 13 tee. Tee off on 16 and walk back to 16 tee to tee of on 17 hole only to walk back to 16th hole to tee off on 18. Course needs tweeking. But i know the people in lincoln will get it worked out.

Adequate for walking a dog. Bare bones and no frills. The place could use some trees, a dogstacle course and a dog race rabbit that runs around the perimeter at odd intervals. There are two parks: one for all dogs and one for big dogs.

I love both Roper East and Roper West. I come here to play disc golf and they have 2 of the best courses Ive ever played. I met people from around the country who have played here and they say these courses are always better than the courses they have around their state. I thoroughly enjoy my time at Roper and have spent countless hours there. Go play and have fun.

Only thing that would make this better is restrooms. Love the grassy areas to run, the equipment to play on, the sandy area to dig, three different types of swings, shady picnic tables, a water fountain, and even trash with recycling! Parallel parking is available on street surrounding the park and a few spots at the FUMC church across the street (if they dont mind?)

This is a nice place to run around with other dogs. The fencing is good and the grass is good. I like that there are no wood chips for my dog to try and eat. I would suggest having a mixed dog area. There is a small dog area and a large dog area but no area for both, so I just used the large dog space. Also, it would be great if there were more amenities instead of just open space.

Roper West disc golf course is very open, and low chance of losing discs, Roper East is somewhat confined, and can easily lose discs, east has a better setup for the baskets and tees, west is a bit jumbled but better marked for tees and baskets. I go to Roper West more then east.

Review №63

Much better now that they added the path, benches, and water fountain. There are a bit more aggressive dogs here, Ive found, than at other dog parks but thats more of the owners faults than the parks. Weve been going here instead of rickmans lately because of the algae problem. Looking forward to getting back there though.

Review №84

Its okay but not happy with the layout. Would have preferred an East/West split rather than north/south. The small dogs have an extremely small area of flat land next to the fence. The rest of it is on an uphill slope and is very rough and uneven and hard to walk on. I like the size and area but not the terrain. Not very conducive for a lot of running that my dog loves to do. Although its quite a distance from my home Ill be checking out Peterson park.

I love Roper Park. Just another of the Lincoln Citys great parks. Due to its location, the parking lots for both the east and the separate west side of the park can be a little confusing to find, so I would strongly suggest checking google maps for directions your first time out. Roper is certainly larger than a lot of other parks. Among obvious park activities, Roper includes the largest of the Lincoln Parks and Recs 2 public disc golfing courses. Roper is currently undergoing some needed park renovation (4/2016), which has limited the use of a few spots around the park, but with its size, its hardly noticeable. Overall, great park, bring your family and your friends, theres plenty of space here!

Roper Park is a great place to go frisbee golf, have some pretty good holes on the main course, but east Roper park across the highway is a different story, its overgrown with weeds and very dangerous if you get your Frisbee stuck in lets say trees or shrubs, I would not recommend East Roper Park, but the main Park is a great place to hang out
