As soon as I walked in, I was told I could not be wearing the shorts I had on because of a dress code. The woman next to the lady that stated that to me had the exact same type of shorts on I did. Also, the dress code weighs heavily on females for what reason? The place is dirty, and no one had on masks in respect to social distancing. Definitely will not be returning to this establishment.

This was our first time at skate station USA. We definitely had fun and it was reasonably priced. The staff was friendly and polite and we will be back to skate again. They have separate rinks for little kids to practice and not get run over by the crowd which is a plus too.

Every time we come & they’re closing up they have staff start vacuuming & doing a deep thorough cleaning of the snack bar & restrooms!They keep candies well stocked & have a decent variety of hot foods! My husband & I can’t wait to have our own kids to bring them here. Great family friendly environment!!

My Daughter loves it. She hates the pizzas. They have fun roller skating games and prize giveaways. The place needs a makeover. The sign outside is half gone it looks like its deserted. But its the only close skating rink around. I love the old 80s look but some things really need to be replaced, painted. I think that place could really be a fun place for teens and children.

Very rude staff. Woman approached me to inform me i was violating their dress code (not saying I was wrong or right I was ok with leaving if that was the issue) and proceeded to speak to me in an extremely rude tone and fashion. She wasn’t even in any sort of uniform or outfit that would make me think she worked there so I was initially caught off guard. I was not being rude to her in the slightest way. I started off with an apology and was calm, but she was very very nasty to me in return. I was honestly appalled at the way she was speaking to me. I honestly cannot remember a time any employee has spoken to me like that as a paying customer. I really cannot remember anyone in my life speaking to me like that for any reason period this whole year. It was totally uncalled for. If I needed to leave, I would have been perfectly fine with being politely asked to leave (and it would have been nice to also have me and my 5 friends/kids money refunded as well). But she approached me in a very hostile manner with a super nasty attitude and tone and then has the audacity to tell me I need to go find some clothes and I shouldn’t be walking around like that because “there are kids here” and then points to MY kids I’m there with. I was blown away. After that I saw her walk away and very obviously talk about me to someone else with a disgruntled body language and point and stare my way. Very unprofessional. I went to leave and took my skates back to the guy at the counter and he didn’t even say a word or look at me just snatched the skates and walked off. When he came back I said thank you and he said nothing back. The carpet looked dirty as well as the entire place. Staff standing out front smoking cigarettes. This whole experience was super disappointing. The funny part is we actually initially met up at three fountains skating rink but then changed our minds and drove all the way to skate station instead. Won’t be making that mistake again.

Our family enjoys spending time at Skate Station. They are always running specials to encourage folks to come out and have a fun, safe time. They perform temperature screenings as you come in as an added precaution. Monday nights are usually our time to visit because an entire family (up to 5 people I think) are allowed to enter for only $6! It is a great chance to get out, release some energy, and get in a little of fun exercising all at the same time!

My kids come to this skating rink all the time and have a blast We always have a great time.I am also glad that they are now enforcing the dress code there. Although I know on Friday and Saturday nights is mainly teenagers, there are still kids here and the this is a family environment.

Went to Saturday night skate, October 17th, 2020 @ 7 to 11 skate. Kids skated and raced around skaters with no regard to others. Management didnt do anything. Skaters sitting near us were high. I dont recommend this place. Maybe day time skating is better.

My family loves to go skating here! My daughter is 7 and just learning to skate, but she gets a little more confident each visit. My wife skated here as a child, so lots of memories. Its cool to take your child to places you remember from childhood. They play good music hits from the 70s-present, even a disco ball. We like to go for the earlier sessions on Saturday or Sunday (not as busy and fewer teenagers). It is a great place for a rainy day. Also, the staff has always been kind and courteous. Our first visit ! from the outside it can be some work done, but the kids had a great time, Everyone was friendly & families just enjoying themselves. Smell a little but nothing outrageous. It’s all about the kids anyway ! Kids happy ! I’m happy !

The owner is so kind. Tonight was my first night going there & we truly felt welcomed. I will definitely support her skating rink.

Me and my boyfriend and my friends went here a couple months ago and me and my boyfriend was apparently too close and staff was honestly rude even though we are just teenagers, and all night we was eyed down by one specific staff member, and me and him kissed a few times and apparently that is a huge deal and made a staff member angry but my friends was doing these same things and never got in any trouble and this staff member favorities certain customers and it was extremely unfair, and the same staff member was yelling at young kids for no reason and I saw one cry she was very rude, and she would keep coming up to me and saying things to me and I kept my cool because if you argue you easily get banned.(this was my second time there and i plan on going again but i hope there is better staff)

Pros: Prices are acceptable, staff is friendly, everyone seems to have a good time.Cons: Open schedule is somewhat funky ( I imagine for parties), the skate floor is worn out and needs refinishing or replaced.The schedule is something that one can overlook easily and have no problems with. However the variable humps and areas of bare wood make for a rather interesting lap around if you arent paying attention to where you are at on the floor.Still a good time anyways......just do something with that floor.

Its an ok place, but it smells like sewer. I definitely wouldnt have my childs birthday party there.

Small, family friendly establishment. It will serve well to upgrade, however, despite the musty smell and short list of amenities, the Skate Station USA is very affordable, safe and fun place for the children.

Ive been trying to get a hold of someone for like 5 days now. And have left messages. My daughter wanted a party there this sunday jan 12 but i cant get anyone to answer the phone to book it.. Update was contacted and they have been very helpful . thanks again for getting in contact with me

We love this skating rink. They are good clean fun and dont put up with anything from the off beat crowd. Have had birthday parties there for years and they always treat us special!!!! Could use a little upgrade on decorations but other than that its well maintained and clean!!!

Staff were nice and they completely set up the party. Theres a smell, like sewage but, bathrooms were clean and no odor.

It was ok. They do not offer rewards for races when kids win son wasnt happy and Larry taffy is the worse to give kuds in a hot stuffy place it melts and makes a mess switch to lollipops or tootie rolls even are not bad if they get put in pockets!

The little races were a bit annoying but fun for kids but it was amazing and i loved it cant wait to go back again

Been coming here for 13 years now and its just the best place to come to get my mind of things. I love the employees here. They are very sweet and treat you with all kinds of respect (even if people are rude to them). I love coming here to hang out with my friends and skate.

Several things did not work ie; water fountain, air hockey and a couple of other cosmetic issues. On a Saturday, presumably the busiest day of business, there were only 2 people working. There were parents letting children run onto the rink, causing others to trip and fall over them. Had there been more staff, there would have been a better overall experience for everyone. I just remember a better quality rink when I was a kid.During the visit I was assured by the manager that things were in the process of changing and getting better. She did make the visit right and invited us back to see that it would be better next time.Since this incident we have given the manager another try. She is assuring us that she is putting forth as much effort into making the establishment better. We have also observed first hand her making efforts to make late night openings safer for younger kids. Only issue I saw recently (not Managers fault) was kids being dropped off and parents leaving. This in return leaves the manager responsible for kids because parents disappear. She definitely has her hands full, but is making every attempt to improve this establishment.

Love this place! It has become almost a second home to some of my kids. They offer family nights, late nights, birthday parties and DERBY (ages 8 through adult). Good clean fun for the whole family. The staff is friendly and so helpful!

I love the fact that they have a practice rink. Going to this skating rink is worth your money.

We love Skate Station! We go every Monday for Family Night. Price is Awesome! $6 to get in for the whole family (5) and what ever we spend at the concession stand. Usually under $20 dollars! I started skating again after 30 Years and it’s pretty good exercise.We have also booked the rink for a private birthday party and our experience with the staff in setting it up was positive. The party was great except a little to much Michael Jackson!Come out give it a try!

If I could zero stars I would. Reserved a birthday party for my daughter, I was told I would have a space from 2-5pm. NOPE! They won’t give me a space until 3:30pm and I’m not allowed to set up my own things. Never again will I book a party here.

Dirty and not maintained. Floor is not cleaned, and water damaged in areas. Ceilings are water stained. Carpeting is not vacuumed.

Ive skated here frequently. The rink has a good surface and is large. I was last here to watch the Columbia Quad Squad roller derby and had a great time. If you ever do go watch roller derby, bring a chair. Seating is very limited.

We love Skate Station USA! Its such a family-friendly establishment, and the staff is very nice. Plus, theres something so nostalgic about skating on a wooden floor. My mom taught me how to skate when I was five, and now I get to do the same with my daughter. Thanks for helping families create memories that well cherish always.

The kids really enjoy going, especially on Monday which is family night from 6:30-8:30. Its only $6 for the whole family. They have a a few different games/contests that make it fun for everyone. However, the building could use some serious renovation. Also, the people who work the skate counter are not very happy people

Awesome to find a roller skating rink again! However as someone who is sleeping near by the loud loud base after midnight is seriously messing with me and my headaches. Please turn the base down some please. Thank you At least so is not felt a half mile away.

This place was awful. Its a mess, you can smell the bathroom from across the place. Staff is not friendly at all. Their floor is falling apart, places help together literally by tape on the floor ..will not go back . Three fountains is so much better.

This may not be the most up-to-date skating rink, but they put on a heck of a skate night. There are fun activities, well managed races, and a full service skate shop. It is a wonderful place.

So fun! A perfect throwback date night or exciting night with friends. Don’t go expecting the Taj Mahal and you won’t be disappointed! It’s a several decades old building that has seen a lot of good times.I especially enjoyed the music. It was a good mix of classics and top 40 and really made the atmosphere for us. A young staff member Amber was there being helpful but the other young lady was so far up her boyfriends you know.The snack bar was out of some just the simple snake foods. I was looking for to coming over to Skate Station USA. I figure the Christlys owed the skating rink and they taught me how to skate and be respectful and it had to be better than the trashy place down the street off of Emanuel Church Rd. BUT the FLOORES and the food are 1000,00% better and they have people out on the floor to help you if you need help.!!!!! I am just so shocked saddened as a parent that feels I will have to the back to the rough crowed of the skating rink off of Emanuel.

This is a good skating rink. As other reviews have mentioned, it is a bit old. That said, it is clean: the floors arent sticky from food, and Ive never had trouble with the restroom.As to the other person who was mad about the staff telling their children to follow the rules: thanks for highlighting a positive feature! While the staff let kids be kids, they are fairly good about not tolerating (often young teens) zooming around faster than they can control and bumping into people, or cutting across the flow of skaters.Yes, the bathrooms need paint. But I go to skate, not to appreciate paint jobs.

Staff do sometimes struggle to not come off as mean. I personally know of a young lady that does the window and a little more of everything on Friday & Saturday nights. She WILL apologize if she yells or comes off as mean. She just wants to make sure everyone is having a great time is all. Been taking my niece and nephew here for years and will continue to do so!
