Usually come here for a bucket of jumbo balls and then a quick par 3. Never have a problem finding a range spot as they have an upper and lower range. Par 3 is nothing special and the average hole is around 60 yards, but it is certainly well kept.
Decent driving range but mats are well worn. Par 3 is very short even for what its meant to be. Roughs and sand is not very well kept. Greens are decent but could use some work. But nice to get out and work on the short game without too much time.
Short par three course 60-120 yard holes. Nice greens. Terrific for beginners or to practice your short game.
Good value. Nice staff. The putting green and pitch and putt are great extra tools to help home your game.
This is my first time. Enjoyed. Its quite affordable and a good experience
Some of the driving range pads are defective. It would be nice if there was a reservation or other waiting system for when it gets crowded
Nice driving range. Bucket size and price are great. Parking lot can get packed. There are courses but I have not used them
Great range, great par 3 course, friendly staff. Ill definitely be back!
Great place to slap dimple ball
Favorite low cost driving range.
Great place to hit balls. Buckets are generous and you are allowed to top off with as many golf balls as you can fit. Mats for the most part are relatively new. Overall the best place to hit in town
Great pricing for their buckets, plenty of mats to tee off from. Parking can be a bit of a pain but it’s what comes with a popular place. The par 3 course is in good shape, always fun to get a round in after work!
Pretty nice green. Beautiful driving range. They have clubs to use while youre there.
Great value practice facility. The grass tees are a nice bonus during the week, and you dont have to pay extra to use them. The par 3 course is well maintained. The practice green does cost $5 to use but its in great condition. Excellent location and friendly staff. Cash-only. definitely worth checking out!
Very short par 3. 80 yrds longest hole good for beginners. They need to cut long rough back further round greens. Why make it ridiculous if u miss green by 2 ft. Short course syndrome where they try to make up for lack of distance by making it more difficult instead of easy and fun
Great place. Lots of range spots and super affordable. Free loaner clubs. Im definitely going here again.
Im not at Stone Meadow Golf, Google. Im actually at the conservation land next door doing a service project on some wetlands. But I drive by Stone Meadow Golf a lot, and I really want to go there sometime. It looks really cool. I think it would be a lot of fun just to hit the driving range there. Someday I will get there and get a bucket of golf balls. Maybe tomorrow!
Decent driving range, grass isnt open Fri-Sun so not ideal and $7 for the smallest buckets. Balls seem relatively new.
Nice place
Not from the area. Stopped on my way back from a business meeting. Glad I did. I laughed when it initially came up on my search of the area. What 18 hole full course golfer is going to enjoy a pitch and putt RIGHT?? I walked up to check it out before plunking down the $14 for a few hundred yards of golf. At the first hole there is actually a starter. The shift was changing so I had the pleasure of dealing with both Paul and Roland. It took a bit of a sell on both their parts to get me to stay but I did and the rest is history. Great for improving your short game! The 9 holes were fun and some what challenging. I brought my PW, Putter and 9 Iron. Remember 65% of your shots are within 150 yards! Give this place a shot!
Great place to work on driving skills. 10$ buys you a bucket of 80+ balls. Left handed clubs available for checkout. Only reason I dropped a star is because it is cash only, but doesnt consciously show that on their website. They have an ATM on site, so I got railed for 4$ in fees the first time I went.
Always enjoy this place. People are friendly and it’s a good value. I think the people who are writing bad reviews on this place should go ahead and find a new Sport.
Fine place to hit a bucket! 3 stars for cash only and uneven areas where the putting mats are laid...drop balls roll alot
Pretty standard driving range with good prices and free clubs to use. Is cash only but there is an atm. Also has a 9 hole pitch and putt that is fun but understand the hole lengths are very short.
I love this place. Really nice grass tees for the practice range, and the cost is more reasonable than many others that give you less. I can see why they charge five dollars for use of the practice green, since otherwise it would be overrun with people looking for a free deal. A little tight on the practice grass tease, but that lets more players use them at one time. Nicely run, always friendly.
Great driving range, grass and mats, well kept.
Nice driving range. I love the pitch and putt.
Nice range with decent priced baskets for Boston
Great local place to drive, put and play
I only used the range, the range does have a grass section and mats section, I prefer grass. Unfortunately theres no grass for the cutting which disappointing. There is also no way to buy gear there they only sell range balls and tee times
Four stars for the driving range but two stars for the pitch and put (par 3 course). The driving range is good, even when it is busy there is usually an open mat. Its also the only driving range around! The pitch and put is overpriced, for just a dollar or two more you can play a regular par 3 course. The only reason to go here would be to take the kids or if you have to be done in under an hour.
If Im not on a course, Im here. GREAT staff, great service attitude, fine facility with GRASS tees Mon-Thurs. Even an awesome food cart. Bonus: the teaching pros are topnotch.
Solid driving range. Convenient location for me and decent pricing.Theres also a Par-3 course, but I havent been on it in years.
Good outdoor range
Great little pitch n putt with well kept greens. Better hit it straight on the first two holes- its narrower than it looks!
Awesome, has a big park lot and the best friendly team to help us.
One of the few golf practice facilities in the area. Driving range, grass and carpet tees and a short par 3, 9 hole golf course.
Ive played the par-3 course here three or four times now, just carrying a sand wedge and a putter around. For $14, it feels a little on the steep side, but you can hang out as long as you like on the practice green before or after, and Im totally willing to support a place that has a grass range: way different feel than hitting off mats. The range balls arent range-specific, either: you get actual Titleists, Maxflis, Top-Flites, Callaways, etc. The cash-only policy is annoying--a the smallest warm-up bucket of balls and a round adds up to $21, so you have to pull out $40 from the ATM, then wind up with $19 in change. If they offered a, say, 30-ball bucket for $4, itd be a lot more convenient: as things stand, I end up leaving 20 or so balls unhit when warming up. Will ask next time if I can leave my unused balls with the starter and hit them after my round.
Good decent place towarm your clubs up and there is a small par 3 to work on the short game
Great driving range but can be very busy at certain times
Well, I was a bit anxious before my first visit because of the not-so-friendly reviews but it turned out that the club was quite good. Spaces between driving ranges was a little bit too narrow but not so bad. Staffs was nice and the driving matt was not so bad either. I think I am gonna make regular visit to this place.
Great spot! Senior Golf lessons with Joe D. Mon & Tues ams.
The staff are great and this place is great to bring anyone interested in golf or wanting to learn golf. They have lessons offered here.
Great place for my husband and I to have a good day #golfday
Friendly staff and a nice facility. Great for just dropping in and hitting a bucket of balls.
Great for a really low key golf outing
Very friendly. Reasonable prices. I go several times per week.
Their beginners golf clinic is a good experience for kids of all ages to learn some basic golf.
This is the best place in the Cambridge area that I know of to hit some golf balls and work on my swing.
Best facility l have been to and having owned one myself, l cannot think of a better overall operation.
Great par 3 course. Good place for game Learners.
Its a lovely place to be, the employees are really nice and the course is lovely for the short game practice. The driving range mats are not the best but I can deal with it.
Decent public driving range. Super convenient from Route 2.
I used to love coming to this place when it had grass to hit from and employees who were happy to see you. Now I fear the turf damage to my clubs, the diseased greens on the pitch and putt and the embittered old men who run this establishment. Angry with the fact that they can no longer play golf, they just look for reasons to accost other, more virulent golfers. I was verbally attacked by one of the managers after asking to speak with the owner about their no use of the putting green without paying for it policy - So you can hit off the synthetic turn for $13 bucks but you have to pay an extra $5 to use the putting green. Seems like highway robbery to me...
Convenient but they hit off mats and arent well maintained.
Stone Meadow has the advantage of being one of the only driving ranges easily accessible from rt. 2 - this can make it particularly crowded fri-sun. But, mon-thur it offers grass tees and is less crowded. These days, I only go mon-thur as a result.
First of all, its cash only, which has always been a red flag as far as Im concerned but ok. Of course they have an ATM in the front with a 2.50$ fee to use. Ok, Im an easy going guy no problem. I pay 19$ for a jumbo bucket and use of the practice green. The practice green turns out to be about 10 by 10 with 4 holes. Sorry no grass tees, we need you to use the matts which essentially takes the golf out of the driving range. The range balls were worn down after years of repetitive use they resembled ping pong balls. No big deal, most driving ranges are similar, maybe not a 14$ jumbo but Im still not complaining. No its the starter if you want to call him that, that is the main reason why Ill never go back to Stone Meadow again. There is a nine hole par three on the facility, but dont get excited, the longest whole is 88 yards. There is a guy posted at the first tee who collects receipts to make sure people paid. I bring him my receipt to begin putting. About 30 min later he pulls his golf cart up and agressively asks me if I paid obviously assuming I didnt. I told him I did I have him my receipt no less than a half hour ago. Then he shoots back their closing soon. I was aware. Keep in mind there were at least 4 other people putting on this postage stamp they try and pass off as a green. Im not exaggerating, 15 min before close he sat in his cart staring me down waiting until I left. I finish up putting, well before the place closes and he drives off. As I was pulling out of the range I look back and there is a guyon the green putting, not being harassed at all. Why this old timer decided he had it out for me Ill never know, but he certainly ensured that I would never grace the stone meadow facility again. Bad service, underwhelming facility and expensive. Avoid
Enjoy working on my short game at this course.
Golf balls are garbage and the staff are not friendly and rude. A man picked up a golf ball that was 5ft in front of him with no one around so his young child could hit one last ball. A woman comes out yelling at the gentleman, takes the ball from him, and chucks it on to the range... all in front of his son. Absolute range nazis.
Busy but good range.
Great place to practice your game
Grass tee boxes and plenty of space!
Amazing time. Hidden gem.
Good place to work on your game
Nice little pitch and putt
A solid driving range with fair prices
Early bird is a good deal.
Decent place; plenty of hitting mats; balls are a varied mix thus giving inconsistent results.
Great Driving Range. Gets Crowded.
Two ranges and a pitch-n-putt, what more do you need to practice? Cash only!
Stone Meadow Golf is the ultimate golf experience !!!
Great driving range
Convenient way to practice
Great for beginners
Not bad
Closest range to the city
You can hit off the grass on the driving range during the week only. Mats only on the weekend.
