Lovely place and excellent food. My husband surprised me for our 3rd wedding anniversary for dinner. It was very romantic and we made more wonderful memories here. This place deserves 10 stars. The food and staff was so wonderful.

Excellent golf course, layout is fun, not repetitive and in excellent shape. Great value for the quality of the course and a must visit if your are between Greensboro and salisbury. Greens are fast and firm and always roll very true and the staff treat every guest like a long time member. Cant recommend enough

Besides having the nicest carts I have ever driven, the course is one of the nicest I have ever played on. We found the course in great shape as it has been the several times we have played it. Great course and good cost wise as well!!! Highly recommend this course!!!

Dont know what Jake Adams was going on about in the comments, i played here about 2-3 weeks ago, course was in great shape and played beautifully, everyone was nice and helpful and i never been here before.Not sure what hes talking about fair treatment? Lifes not fair, just play your golf game and enjoy yourself.

Sapona Country Club is the opposite of modest. You wont receive fair treatment unless you’re a common. Sapona is the epitome of an organization of someone who thinks they’re a big fish in a small pond. Members of this club are ignorant to their own pride, enough to lose money to Richard Childress and Mark Moore. I brought my girlfriend, who’s a member of the Chapel Hill Country Club which was astonished to how poorly the course was maintained and none the less the arrogance the workers have for Sapona. If you care more about the name more than the quality, this is the place to be. I spent $45 for a round of 9 holes after I’ve lived in Sapona Country Club for 17 years and I will never come back.

My friend and I had a nice dinner there. The restaurant looked a little bit like an old folks home and it could use some art on the walls. The service was acceptable but we were not asked if we wanted a glass of wine when our entrees arrived. The food was good as was the menu selection. Were looking forward to visiting again when we can enjoy the patio area.

We are hunkered down in our house and once a week we have take out from the club. The food is first class all the way. Don’t miss out. Order from the club and support the staff

Played early one morning after storms the night before so was cart path only, but course was very nice and in good shape. Semi private now, $45 to ride 18 on weekend.

Lovely setting, white cloth napkins, and fresh flowers on every table. You can dine indoors or out, at the bar, or at a table. Food was delicious, hot, and with plenty of choices. We had a thoroughly enjoyable visit there for lunch with server, Alex. Great job! Open to the public.

Played 6/2/19 the course was in really good shape. Greens were nice and full rolled true and were in top condition. This course is a STEAL @ $35.00 on weekends after 1PM. Pace of play on Sunday afternoon was great, never waited on a tee shot except a few holes due to a tournament that was going on at the time. Tree lined fairways and a few elevated tees make this course a hidden gem. Its a must play if youre in the Lexington, NC area.

My parents live in this neighborhood and we have been members for close to twenty years... Since it went under new ownership and management it is a much better facility, golf course and community. The pool and tennis courts have always been a nice convenience!

The course is in very good condition. The entire are is very clean. The greens are smooth. The fairways are almost as good as the greens.The employees are pollite.I look forward to returning.

Pond behind our house is loaded with algae that endangers wild life but humans as well. Manager promised to do something about it and that was 2 weeks ago. Nothing has been done. I recommend others and particularly the members speak up to management about this issue.

Love this place. People are great and the food gets better with each visit. We have a social membership and enjoy the pool a lot in the summer. Used to play a lot of golf but dont now. When I did play this was a fantastic course. I have no reason to believe that it isnt still fantastic even at 6900 yards.

Pace of play no problem. The condition of the course surprised me in a positive manner. I will be coming back to play. The green fees are surprisingly low. Very positive experience today.

We cannot express how thankful we are for the wonderful experience we just had at Sapona Ridge this past Saturday. After meeting with Tammy May a little over a week ago, she was able to put together a fabulous wedding for us on short notice. She took care of EVERYTHING, and made the whole experience a wonderful, memorable day for us both. Tammy and staff took care of our every need, and the whole day went off without a hitch! The facilities were beautiful and dinner was fantastic.Our friends and families were so impressed with the level of service and attention to detail that Tammy had put into everything she touched. Excellent food for fine dining. Freshly made breads. We had surf and turf on a bed of small roasted potatoes and asparagus tips.There was a good crowd and a wedding rehearsal dinner.

So what Tela just said is not true. She has no idea what was going on. She only heard BS from her mom. Ive been working here for 2 years and i have never had a problem with anything she said. And i dont know where she got the whole water in a liquor bottle thing but i can tell you that is not true. I know this because Im the bartender.

Wonderful golf, food and staff!

Worked there for less than a month and was told the place is going under repeatedly. I was told they where getting new owners. I was not trained and had to train myself. Not a good place to work. I was asked to come in with no notice due to the fact that 3 employees before had walked out. It soon became apparent to me why they felt the need to do so. Management is inexperienced. I was told to handle a member who had drank to much by putting water in the liquor ( titos vodka) bottle and serve it to him. I choose to cut him off instead. I watched certain employees get over time while the management would simply leave..as a previous manager if a buisness isnt doing well I would picked up the slack and not have a new employee working more hours than me. I was also told that because I was new that it was my job to pick up the slack of other coworkers who chose not to do their own jobs. Many times I was put doing a job that I had never done or been trained to do such as bar tending. I noticed while there that stock would go missing within a day. When I disclosed this to management I was simply ask who I thought was steeling. My reply was that maybe they should start taking inventory which 1 week later took place. There was no previous inventory being kept to my knowlege. All of these things lead me to believe that management of the buisness are leading to a down fall of club. For anyone seeking employment within the club I would think twice. I wish I wouldnt have wasted my time and energy working there.The over all atmosphere for me was very negative due to management and lack of training. The fear that a new job might not last do to the place lossing money. I decided to leave without notice. By the way Ill add to this by saying...calling me liar on your review isnt proof of anything...you are the one who was supposed to train me lol. Everyone knows when I cut that certain person off. He said no one had ever cut him off. Want to know why?Its because like I was told we put water in the titos bottle...I have no reason to lie and I surely didnt walk out without reason. Anyone with any since or knowledge of my being there would know the proof is in the pudding. That being said I will have no more communication with anyone from sapona ridge country club. This just further shows the pettiness and unprofessional atmosphere that it was being employeed there. To further prove my point I have never left a review for any other job I have had and Im 33 years old. Ive held three previous jobs in management in those jobs my integrity was never questioned because I was honest in my dealings. I currently hold office with the secretary of state as a Notary public and have since August of 2017 which again stands as proof of my integrity and to the degree in which I hold honesty.

Fantastic experience and wow what a golf course. They have Zoysia greens that were perfect! The membership packages are extremely affordable and Richard Childress has made sure the facilities are well maintained. The clubhouse, pool, tennis courts and of course the golf course were all wonderful. Would highly recommend for membership or for their member for a day package.
