The sculptures at the entrance was great. Only problem was the entrance gate was closed and locked. Im pretty sure its not open 24 hours.
Frank Holder was a man of vision. He could take parts of old machinery and make metal puzzles, sculpture, a dinosaur, a whale that had a gravity fed blow hole, and even an actual mermaid that had a butt crack! haha. He said of the mermaid, Shes 98% anatomically correct. He made a 6ft replica of Reynolds Tobaccos Joe Camel as a weightlifter, with Gym shorts and 6 pack abs. He made me an apple that was pretty realistic, & several things throughout his life. He loved making people smile and making art he called conversation starters. He decided that making this small park could give people a little bit of himself. Theres a geocache to be discovered if anyone still does that.
But by Frank Holder (born 1931. Died 2009) this place is amazing! A must see!
