We have been taking lessons with Hetal Joshi from year 2000 when she started her journey of freelance choreography in exclusive indian folk dances. I came to know about her from my college friends who were going to darpana and they were also part of CRY-india fundraising with Hetal in Ahmedabad. they were all common friends as part of our youth association run by my uncle. I have seen hetal teaching at very young age right out of her high school as an intern with her senior teachers to very well seasoned choreographer/teacher. When i had my first competition in folk, i took her help in learning the full folk dance form and i got the win for my group. from the best dress, props, choreography to techniques and makeup; she nails it. she has not only taught me, my wife, but my kids and my other family members have taken several lessons. some school competitions have challenging classifications in folk dance forms as well as classical bharatanatyam, and so the advices are required in same. last couple of years, family did bollywood dance lessons and marriage-dance lessons by skype and they were fit for family audiences. When she moved to USA, my wife continued her lessons with Hetal via skype and she continues to do so when Hetal visits india. my wife had her breaks due to her schedule and same as my daughter too. My daughter goes to Darpana Academy in Ahmedabad by Mallikaben Sarabhai for courses that Hetal recommends her depending on teacher. this is especially when she is unable to come and for rest, we take skype. Couple of other institutes that she recommended added a very good value to my childs dance education in her absence.When we visit dallas for our family, we go to Hetal. we also did an exclusive folk dance drama for a launch event with her and under her instructions. picture is attached here. people loved it and when i showed it in india to my daughters teachers just for letting them know that we danced in USA, they loved the dance! We love Hetal. Strongly recommend her folk, bharatanatyam and bollywood lessons. She takes specializations in each subject that she teaches and that is what makes us go back to her. Its a straight cut win every-time we do her dances in any competitions. her regular class students itself dance flawlessly so competition students are no where close to comparison with anybody around in that age. it never happens overnight or even in 2-3months. it never happened for us that way. It is the training from the best people, right techniques and it has never happened in 2-3months. Nobody else teaches Exclusive Indian Folk dances in entire Dallas Fortworth. Bharatanatyam: my wife does it and people love her work here and in USA. she is still under training. In DFW, we have visited lot of dance schools that claim to teach folk dances to keep up with continuity for us but they all teach bollywood, except Hetal. We looked for others as timing was not convenient but after seeing what they were teaching, we made our timings convenient for hetal.

We had missed anantha dance production after taking folk dance trainings due to some emergency in family. we continued anyways and i am so glad we could do sarva 2019. We were with other dance company before and dances were boring there. same thing every year and we got sick of it. fees were too much and costumes were horrible. i absolutely loved the variety of dances, costumes and everything in sarvaa 2019. i had heard lot of good things about anantha from my kids classmates as well. my all children go to different programs here and they all love hetal. we are very happy with costumes, fees and all the dances they are learning. they are so different than all the dance schools and none of the dances ever repeats. kids are always happy and having so much fun in the class. hetals choreography is a very well balanced choreography as compared to lot of other choreographers who overdo it or they are not even half way there! i am just amazed how beautifully all the students of all the ages were non-stop dancing one after the other. the bharatanatyam danceathon, folk vs bollywood jashn and juniors bollywood danceathon in 4-5 languages were really good. pre-teen, teen and young adults dance danceathon were so fun to watch. i loved the crazy remix and zingat. i have to say that compared to what i was paying in my previous dance school, this was cheapest and most affordable dance school and new choreography! like reviews said, it is worth every penny here. every single kid was looking beautiful and classy in the costumes given. my one kid is tan and i was worried but it was looking gorgeous. hetal has an eye of beauty for everything. I was actually not expecting anything considering that more than 90% kids were dancing very first time in my kids new class and few came over summer from out of state dance schools. some were local and returning students of hetals private classes. i was shocked to hear one of them had come with direct recommendation for hetal from out of state dance school. we got all the holidays we wanted like spring break and some major long weekends, vacations but because the classes go by dates and not by month, it was so easy to check-in. i am awestruck to see these results with once a week class routines and i am loving it! only my bharatanatyam kido had to do some makeup classes as we missed some during school year itself. i know few other bollywood kids who missed as well took those.our teacher was hetal and it was hetals show considering all the choreography to teaching, costumes, music was done by her except for 1 or 2 dances that were done by her interns or her own trained people. other thing i couldnt help but notice is her relationship with her choreographers and parents, it was very respectful and it had so much love and understanding. hats off! i would love to someday work for her and i am definitely doing classes with her. Grace and grooves is the best indian dance company when it comes to indan folk dance lessons, bharatanatyam and bollywood dances. Our family has opposite people and this dance school best fits our need. one family member is only in folk, other in bharatanatyam, one of us doing bolly dances and one in folk and bollywod, both. grace and grooves by hetal has history connected to people we know in stage-type of indian dance industry. We got their contact from a very well reputed dance school with over 10K students in indian and non indian dances. the owner has worked 4 years with hetal in india and they have several pictures together. some of these pictures are posted on hetals personal fb page. so we directly signed up for hetals dance lessons when we moved here. we searched few other dance schools to do our homework for pricing. but they were not up-to our level because our kids have been dancing from very young age and we completed 9 years in dance activities and training. all were mediocre and too pricey for what they were teaching. at grace and grooves, instructors are very well supervised and especially teenagers love the dances and costumes. I have seen dances of their 5 to 8 year olds and they are so cute. some of the prettiest costumes and skin friendly. pricing of costumes & fees were our biggest concern with whole family dancing in different dances. it is cheapest in area and some costumes were given free. Even the rental costumes are very well-kept. we got chance to learn how to do it for our costumes too. these people are professionally trained in dance activities and they do it damn right! our other concern was multi-lingual dances too because we wanted to expose our kids to all kind of culture from dances. This was well balanced practiced at grace and grooves. The best part of this dance school is clarity of the dances. Coming from proper dance school, this is perfect match for us. choreography is fun, creative and very beautiful. ladies of our family love the dances, costumes, makeup guidelines as they come from modern city lifestyles. Even boys look handsome and graceful with Ms. Hetals supervision and dances under her. their dances are standard so anywhere we submit, we get in for auditions without paying too much for fees for it. we are dance family and this dance school serves its purpose. they have opportunities for work from home, in-person job opportunities for parents, interns and college kids. in one of their shows, 10 to 12 year kids ran the whole show under hetals supervision from being the music host to photography. my 10 year son got opportunity to learn video editing with hetal off-late;she trains really well. we love them. We were recommended this dance school in kansas by a friend of mine who had her dance training from ms. hetal. grace and grooves by hetal nagaraj is the most affordable dance lessons in entire dallas fortworth area that i have come across. we first joined them in irving and then moved to frisco and the best part was that we were able continue right where we got transferred. in-spite of recommendation from friend, we visited other dance schools to get an over-view of what we are getting for $$ that we pay. after calculating everything and specifically the type of dances and the costumes, i was surprised that it holds more value than what my friends are paying. i joined for bharatanatyam, daughter for folk dances and we were able to perform in hetals anantha dance production as we were able to catch up to the dance-work due to our past trainings in india. my son too looks forward to their bollywood hiphop classes. price tag is most affordable and reasonable! love it!

Love it! Love it! Love it. From Bharatanatyam, Bollywood and Indian Folk Dances, we love it all as our house members are divided into all these dances. Our family has also taken their classes for marriage dances and they are absolutely amazing. I could not complete my dance education in Kalakshetra Academy of Chennai and got clicked here right away after trying several trial classes for Bharatanatyam and Indian Folk Dances around the Dallas Fortworth Areas.

I first met them few years ago for my kids dance lessons in Bharatnatyam. I took folk classes for myself and my friends decided to take bollywood lessons with hetal. Hetal has amazing in-depth knowledge and creativity in all the dances. none of her dances ever repeats or if they do, it will be just extended version or a highly refined version of songs that were not done before as sometimes organizers restrict the dances to 4-5 minutes. in classical and indian folk dance forms, it is a challenge to do 4-5 minutes. ever since I have met them, every opportunity they gave me has multiplied itself by twice than what my other friends do in other dance schools. i have grown with them and have gained amazing knowledge of fine arts and costumes, all of which is nowhere to be found on any social media platforms or anywhere at-least in Dallas-Texas, USA that i know of. I have been resident of USA for over 20 years now and we have tried lot of dance schools before. It is in attending their classes that you get the in-sights of all the dances and not by just doing those drop-in classes. the drop-in classes are worth every $ just as well. Even the practice classes where they say, it wont be attended still she is present most of the times and surveillance takes care of the rest. a down to earth personality with amazing knowledge. Her own dance skills are just as amazing in each form that she dances and she is top of it above anybody i have ever known! Strongly recommend grace and grooves for bharatnatyam, indian folk dances and bollywood. my friends still go to her for drop in classes. they just love the choreography for bollywood. it is never boring and it has perfect balance. I have had instances of seeing our practice videos that are not published yet on stage and i see some other older people doing it somewhere and their date of published video is months after it was taught in our class --which is more shocking! blessed to be part of dance school that sets trends. It makes me laugh that my 7 and 9 years old could do this and I am seeing young dancers like 15-18 year olds doing this dance. Dance teaches you patience, resilience, persistence, consistency, team work, grace and stage presence. It very much reflects in your life and work you do. I will strongly recommend them even for recreational purposes. It is that beautiful and worth of every $$ you spend. otherwise i do not have that money to waste on that passionate dance teachers and their dance companies, i would rather spend that $ in family $ store.

After being resident of Dallas Fortworth for over 20 years now and trying lot of dance schools that claim to teach folk dances, Grace And Grooves took us by a sweet surprise. We figured that this is the only Indian Dance School with such an amazing straight background with absolutely no excuses. I had to write this review when I met my colleague who is currently in Ahmedabad, Gujarat and happened to know Hetal Nagaraj. What a small world it is and what an amazing reviews I heard from them too as they have dance school in Ahmedabad. Their dances are absolutely beautiful and my kids have showcased them in all types of audiences especially their original folk and bharatnatyam dances. my friend has done their grace creations fusion classes and they were just as beautiful. recently they did our marriage couple dances for bollywood dances and they were just as beautiful! people of all ages enjoy seeing them. We love Grace And Grooves LLC by Hetal Nagaraj. Indeed the only indian dance school and instructor to have perfectly straight background of indian dances in all they offer and they are 100% transparent. Love them. strongly recommend for kids and adults of all ages. We been with them for over 8 years now. I wished I knew about them when we started off 10-14 years back!

I have never felt pushed on any matters for dance related activities and i was always well-informed about all events including competitions. we strongly recommend them. our girls love Hetal. As a guru should be, she guides them very well not only for dance related things but also for other things that i see other parents draining their kids life out of dance! amazing staff and people to work with. they are very well organized and i love how she trains the boys. my son just loves her bolly-hop dance lessons. my friend is from darpana academy of dance run by mallika sarabhai in ahmedabad and she knows hetal very well. we got all the right people when we moved to dallas especially in indian dances. after hearing all my neighbors and types of dances they and their kids do, i feel blessed that my kids wont be pulled in all kind of useless things and make most of each time or money they spend at grace and grooves. love Hetal and her recommended instructors as well as other businesses. it is not about money, it is about how you value your life. you have 1 life to live and i feel dallas as my home. thank you Hetal.

I am amazed to read the reviews of large families although we are a very small family and yet i have to say same exact things. My child does Bollywood and it is amazing how she has caught up to beautiful dance steps. We have been to other dance schools and Hetals work is not only up-to-date but very graceful and beautiful. My wife did Rabindra Nruthya for her college reunion last year and it was absolutely amazing. people loved it. My wife is bharatnatyam dancer and Hetal did an amazing choreography! I always thought for bollywood type of dance how will it matter. But as other review said, it is unbelievable. Costumes are very pretty and kids have so much fun in their classes. their dance themes are always fun, unique and age appropriate. I agree to other reviews as well, one or 2 notifications either for performances, costumes and not a single text after that. very well planned, well organized and fun loving people to work with. we can easily see the difference; how stressful other dance institutes make it for kids and parents while at grace and grooves, i was stunned. Not a single text or sms for 1-2 days before the event and it had me thinking are they even performing. Best for families with teenagers, young kids. we have seen their 5-6 years old and they dance so cute. Their bharatnatyam dances are fun and beautiful!

Please read patiently if you are a responsible parent who calculates $$ for what you get in return! we have tried so many indian dance classes but nobody gives what they claim to teach especially indian folk dances. finally, our search ended at Hetal Nagaraj. At the end of the year, our classes with grace and grooves by Hetal Nagaraj were the cheapest of all. when my kids dance, they steal the show. We have been with them for 4 years now with breaks depending on holidays etc. and in-spite of that, i am just amazed as to what i get back in return. I see my friends kids burning out while mine are just having so much fun! I have 3 kids and each of them are in different program with them and depending on our schedule at times in different locations(Irving and Lewisville mostly). we love them! It turns out to be the CHEAPEST of all the dance schools and its worth every penny of every hour my children spend there. my first daughter learns folk dances and i get wows of my indian and american friends both. she was invited to perform in jaipur, chennai and AP as well as at reputed dance companies in east and west coast when we submitted her folk dance clips just for fun through friends. my second daughter showed bharatnatyam(thillana) in her talent show and people in india and USA both just loved it and she has been invited for competition finals without any auditions for indian classical competitions. my oldest daughter showed their movie dances in one of the mehdi nights just for fun as everybody was doing it, they all loved it. my bollywood daughter was invited for fashion show to not only wear one of designer clothes by a traditional clothing boutique but she was asked to perform as solo artist amongst all 25 participants! Unfortunately due to schedules we could not go everywhere but we submit them with hetals consent and we love the responses we get.i am trained dancer myself in bharatnatyam and folk dances, my teachers too love her work when i post on facebook or in my networks. we started my daughters from their recreational program and it all started from there. even their recreational program students get selected for some of the best competitions without any unnecessary pressures of competitive approach! read it again. I wasted money, efforts of my family and energy of my kids in all the useless dance classes by nonsense instructors for first 7-8 years of my kids life. dont get me started on number of dance schools I have tried. I can show you entire history! I wish i would have gone to hetal before itself.

We like it here, but we did have some issues initially. They have worked with us actively to fix the issues and we appreciate it.

We love grace and grooves aka mirchi dance academy and nruthyakala indian dance academy. their indian folk workshops for indian folk dances are really good! pls do not mistake with other names. grace and grooves is the original indian folk dance company. we show their indian folk dances to our relatives and they just love it. its not one of those copied indian folk dance stuff from youtube like alot of other indian folk dance schools do here in dallas fortworth areas. we do classes at their plano/frisco locations and this is not the first indian dance school that we have dealt with. best part is their choreography for boys is age appropriate and not girly types like other dance schools. fun moves for boys of all ages. my boys are 9 and 5 year old. they both dance with grace and grooves. our instructor has been hetal. we started their bollywood program from last year. i and my spouse both work so their program is perfect for us. no kit-pit like other dance schools. best part is their program is very flexible and they are fun people to work with! value for money as compared to what other dance schools teach in the name of dances.their performances have a variety of dances that teaches kids about indian culture. we are yet to reach their bollywood fusion level but looking forward to it after seeing their programs.

Grace And Grooves bharatnatyam dance lessons are absolutely amazing. We have taken their lessons in Irving and then Frisco for Bharatnatyam-private classes. Our instructor is Hetal Nagaraj and we just love her. At recent india trip, my kids danced at local event and people asked me where they learned Bharatnatyam from. they were surprised that my kids learned it in USA as they loved the choreography. we got appreciation from community people that our dances were graceful and very beautiful. one of my daughter is very delicate types and does not like very vigorous bharatnatyam dances. I was surprised how beautifully hetal was able to bring out a dancer from body-type that my daughter has. From a girl who used to get tired at the end of 1 hour class for simple adavu practice to a girl who is now able to dance entire jatiswaram with full jatis. there has been very positive difference in my kids personalities, attitude and approach because of way hetal teaches. a perfect example of teacher. never knew bharatnatyam can be done so gracefully without forsaking fundamentals for the body-type that my daughter has. thank you hetal. i will strongly recommend her lessons to anybody who is looking for bharatnatyam dance lessons. we have also taken adult bollywood dance lessons and we just love her choreography. no repetitions, very graceful fun dance steps and it is so beautiful lady-like. their costumes and themes are beautiful & at such a low cost than what other dance schools offer. most costumes are totally free & we love her yearly costume concept. i can show our dances to anybody without being afraid of being copied from somewhere or any copyright issues. we have been with several dance schools in past and this is the only dance school that my in-laws enjoyed the choreography for adults. we adults have danced on kala chashma, nimbooda, dhola dhol, krishna leela, devotional dances and some fun remixes like shape of you, rangeelo dholna. we look forward to coming years. good job hetal for keeping our indian sanskriti alive.

Love Grace And Grooves Dance Lessons. We are with them for a very long time now and absolutely love the creativity, costumes and fundamental skills taught in each of their programs. Bharatnatyam, Indian Folk Dances and Bollywood-tollywood all are equally amazing. Even the fees are very reasonable as compared to other dance schools if I compare it with other dance school lessons and quality. Big plus is fundamentals in each of their dance form and style is crystal clear. i never knew that indian folk dances especially rajasthani and gujarat had so many styles and variations. i am totally amazed! we have tried so many dance schools but nobody gave us authentic technique focused indian folk dances like Hetal Nagaraj. I am native to ahmedabad and have lived right off street of ashram road near darpana. i was brought up seeing their shows all the time as it was very close to my house. i am so happy to find hetal. it is like seeing mini version of darpana dance academy but here in dallas;just a better version! From her dance show themes to each choreography and dance musical are absolutely amazing and entirely different without forsaking fundamentals of dance form or style. you will not find them anywhere on youtube either. one of my kids have taken their bollywood program too and they teach so beautifully. my kids make least efforts as compared to other kids and still dance beautifully. this is what i liked the most about them. we are big time fan of grace and grooves. strongly recommend!
