Steve was booked, but sent us out with Walker. He is young, but he knows his stuff. He loves to fish and wanted us to catch fish. That made our experience so good. When I was booking I asked Steve if we would catch fish. He said “Yup!” He wasn’t wrong. Four of us caught in the vicinity of 60 sand bass and some catfish (one big one!) in our 4 hours. Walker knew where to fish, showed us how to fish in different areas based on where the fish were swimming, changed lures as needed, and basically made sure we caught fish. We had a great time and would fish with Walker again in a heartbeat. If you try to book with Steve and he says he’s booked but you can go with Walker, you are not getting the second string. We loved this kid. He made sure we had a great day. [One piece of advice... bring cash to pay, and tip (you will want to!) There is an additional percentage on top of the rate if you use a credit card.]

Steve is a great fishing guide. I have fished with him for just about every kinda fish imaginable . He always knows where the fish are, and I always have a great time when I go out with him. Truly the best! He will put you on the fish and teach how to catch them.

If you want a great time catching fish, Steve is your guy. I rated this a 5 star because we arrived at the lake, the guide was there waiting for us to arrive. We walked directly to the boat and took off. The only worry was whether we had fishing license. Once we started fishing, we started catching fish within the first 5 minutes. If a spot got cold, Steve took us to another spot where we would start immediately catching fish again. At the end of the trip, we walked away with bags of fillets, 1 trophy sized catfish and limits of sandb and hybrid stripers; not to mention great memories with my dad. I will definitely fish with Steve again. If you want a great time on the lake, give him a call.

I went Crappie fishing with Steve and had an awesome time. He showed me how to jig and how to read a fish finder. Had an truly excellent time on Lake Lewisville Crappie fishing with Steve.

Too timid to go after largemouth bass. Guide Boy Steve, is so afraid someone is going to fish in his ”top secret large mouth spots” that he is certifiably paranoid. It is so sad, he is a nice guy but think about looking elsewhere for a largemouth bass guide. I feel compelled and competent to make this call as my skills have placed me in demand for marshaling the Elite Series and the Elite Series Finals.

We had a blast! Steve knows how to find the fish, what jigs to use and was fun to fish with! We caught over 100 fish in 4 hours! I would highly recommend Steve, but be sure to book early.

Steve is an awesome fishing guide. Every time we go fishing with Steve we allway catch tons of fish. He always amazes me with his skills and passion for fishing. He did a great job teaching my 8 year old son about fishing. He is really passionate about fishing and it’s amazing just how many fish we bring home. Top notch!

My son and I went fishing with Steve yesterday. We had a great time and would highly recommend Steve. Cant wait to do it again!

I have had experiences with several guides and guide services in the past, and more recently in Florida, but none compare to my times out on the lake with Steve. The bottom line is he is a cut above the rest.The first time out with Steve was nothing short of a blast! I did not have a preference as to species and Im glad I left that part up to Steve. We caught every type of fish in the book. I thought I was fairly knowledgeable when it came to fishing and I guess I am when it comes to largemouth bass but I had no idea how many other species were out there and just how much fun it was to toss out a lure and be surprised by what you reel in. We caught some beautiful fish that evening. And I was hooked not just on my return to fishing but, more specifically, fishing with Steve.In addition to his knowledge of every nook and cranny to flush out your desired catch, his pleasant, easy-going personality along with his dedication to making sure you not only catch fish but have an enjoyable, entertaining trip all the way around ranks him above the pack.I recommend Steve with no reservation.

Steve told me there were no available charters on Lake Lewisville and they were not catching Hybrids. He was wrong on both accounts.
