More Adventure than TrampolineThe second Urban Air location is finally open, shiny and new! But where the first location is primarily trampolines, the new location places equal emphasis on climbing. The anesthetic feels more like Main Event than a gym. There are some growing pains that Im sure will work out when the newness wears off: getting in on a Saturday morning can take half an hour, and if theres only one person handling harnesses in the front climbing area, kids might wait a few minutes to be unclipped. The tube playground has some interesting areas for younger kids. The rope walkway can be a bit confusing the first time (which way are we supposed to go again?) but is fun once or twice. The sky rider coaster is a blast. Only bad thing about it is waiting in line, as its very popular.I was pleased to see both a family restroom and that theres a changing station in the mens room. The Cafe is reasonably priced and the tables and chairs are adequate to the task. The event area looks similarly up to handling a few parties. The upper area has no seating. If your kids are just interested in the trampolines or are too small for anything more than the basic areas, you may find yourself standing in what feels like a crowded hallway. There is no Bowl for under-7 kids to jump without the bigger kids around like there is in Overland Park, so for the little ones its the Apex or the Tube Playground. On a similar note, the obstacle course feels like it was designed backward: the easy course is the one thats farthest from the main walkway, so parents waiting in line with the little kids have to stand awkwardly and uncomfortably while bigger kids use the more advanced paths. And dont make the mistake I made of thinking itll be like any other ball pit if your little one decides to try the most advanced course. Theyre not easy to move through even for adults.Overall, the new location feels like a more grown-up version of Urban Air. If your kids are under about 7, you might find the Overland Park location a bit more comfortable. For those looking for more than just trampolines, the new Lenexa location is a great place to wear the kids out.
Urban Air is legit. Very well done. Fun for all ages with age appropriate attractions for all levels. Even the adults can have fun. Staff was friendly and the place was clean. Ball pit is a great workout!
Ive gone to the South OP location for years so I have an idea of what to expect of a place ran by teenagers. The Lenexa location somehow has twice the staff yet manages to do twice as bad. You are guaranteed to spend close to 30 min just waiting to pay. There are 3 computers and staff at the desk but they utilize 1 at a time, even as lines build up. The first time I went I began to fill out a waiver when a girl greeted us and informed me if I had a waiver from 143rd that I didnt need to create a new one. So I stopped, waited in line for 20 min just to have the cashier tell me I had to fill out a new waiver. I get back in line wait another 20 min because the staff is unfamiliar with the system. The second visit when it was my turn to pay a man jumps in front to get help from the manager with his waiver. The manager takes him over to the only register with a cashier to assist him. So now the cashier backs off and just stands idle while there were 2 other computers that are identical right next to it. He looks at me, looks at the other computers, then just shrugs. I understand its difficult when you have managers that lack the ability to make good decisions but sometimes as an employee you have to speak up and give them a suggestion such as Hey they were waiting in line can you use the other computer or unlock it so I can continue to check in customers. The concession stand is more of the same. I wouldnt go expecting to purchase food or drinks as inevitably there will be an issue why they cant serve you. I couldnt buy a drink because the system was down. The same system thats working to take peoples money at the front door. So I get a manager and ask to have my time extended since we have to leave the building to get drinks and magically the system works again. I sat and watched another customer get turned away right after me. The facility itself is nice but the staff needs some reconfiguring to provide a better customer experience and a staff that is proficient at doing their job. It seems management is more worried about arguing with customers negative reviews than improving them, which tells you all you need to know.
Friendly staff, clean, and lots to do!
This company will never get another dollar from me.
Wonderful service people and the manager Matthew is beyond great very family friendly place things for all ages even adults
Great staff, very helpful. Lots of fun and there is a lot for kids to do. Very clean too. Great atmosphere for some fun.
Great for kids of all ages! Wish I would have been offered a membership as I was buying a single day pass. I would have purchased in a heartbeat. To buy after the fact kind of stinks....
Some of these employees...must have just been made to work with kids. Sweet, caring, helpful, understanding....just amazing. Some of your staff members need an attitude adjustment. I get the job isnt always easy. It can be a long day. Dont talk negatively about kids to your coworkers right in front of them.We had an amazing time. I lost my wallet and I was trying to get my kids drinks and could only find my emergency 5 (they really wanted slushies) the guy paid the amnt over and I thought it was so sweet.
Kids will love it. Just go. Cant miss experience.
Great place ford the kids adults can join in the fun too.. the only problem i had was the staff wasnt very helpful with the kiddos and are a little too strict when it comes to jumping together with your kids.
Absolutely fantastic effort towards being one of the elite kid entertainment businesses in the area. Highly recommend.
Fun for the kids but pretty expensive for just a couple hours of fun
Best place for kids..Great music and lots for my son to do
Was here for a birthday party, my son had a great time.
Park was fun, however planning a birthday party through this location was very stressful because of multiple mistakes made on my order. Fun for the kids but certainly not worth the trouble for a birthday package
Kids loved it. Had a great time!
Its too dark and I cant see the trampolines from the entrance. Looks like a disco nightclub.
Awesome time! Will go back for sure!!
This place is brand new ...go check it out has some cool unique features.

Grandsons love it.
