Good indoor gun range, very friendly and helpful staff.

Honesty, professionalism and best of all they treat you as if youre family. Not once have I walked in and left unhappy. They are very educated on all guns they carry and have a unique selection. Gordon is my go to guy and I send everyone his way, this isnt just a one time this is time spanning over years of successful business.

I usually dont write reviews but I absolutely felt the need to do this. I called and scheduled private instruction for myself and my 2 daughters. When we arrived they were very busy but we were acknowledged by the owner. The instructor Jim was amazing. He went over our guns step by step with us, from safe handling to mental aspects of owning a firearm and everything in between. On the range Jim was very professional, patient and was with each of us shot by shot. At the end Gordon Jr. took the time to review my new shotgun with me, even though I bought it elsewhere. What a great day we had. Thanks to all, especially Jim. We will be lifelong customers.

I called before going out and they said they had plenty of rifles in stock that I was looking for. When I got there they said they did not have any. I also asked about trading in a pistol and they said they dont sell pistols. I suggest that they do not turn away customers looking for 2,000 dollar rifles.I would stay away from these guys if they dont know what they have in stock and cant sell a pistol these days.

Great place to go to shoot or shop for guns and accessories, the staff is always extremely helpful and are always willing to spend time to answer questions and educate the customers. They stand behind any product they sell and will go out of their way to make any transaction a happy one for the customer. Remember this is not a fle market you can not come in and demand a price reduction, the prices reflect the service provided. If you buy a gun at some stores or on line and it has a problem you may have to send it back to the manufacture to get help, at the gun shop you can bring it back in and they will always go out of their way to help and resolve issues. If you do make a purchase they offer reduced range fees for a limited time as a bonus. Very happy to be a customer at the gun shop.

We visited The Gun Shop Inc. to use the rang . The store is pretty cool. They have antique items in there and pretty interesting stuff. The customer service was great and everyone there was nice. They offer training classes, ckeaning classes and more. Will definitely return.

I purchased a Colt Defender 2 years ago and with the corona virus cannot get release rectified. Salesman stated a 20% restocking fee and does not care. Even hung the phone up when I asked for his name! Would never send anyone to this rude rip joint! This place deserves a negative rating.

I’m not a commenter, first time. But this rude experience compelled me to speak out. Yesterday (6/30/20), I went to this store with the intention of purchasing a particular handgun I was told on the phone they had in stock. Upon entering, I waited for the salesman behind the counter to finish his conversation with an elderly couple he was helping. The exchange appeared to be very cordial. When they left, he offered to help me and I asked to see that handgun. He didn’t know exactly where it was and asked another employee who came over and pointed out its location in the case. At this point this second person (he could have been the owner, I don’t know) took over the conversation with me. After a short examination and feel of the gun, I was satisfied and told him I would like to purchase it. They had it priced at $650, quite a bit higher than online listings. I showed him a printout, from that same day, of a listing from a reputable online seller, offering that exact model for $565. I upfront told him I don’t like purchasing guns online from a faceless website, that I prefer to deal with and support a real local shop, and I did not expect them to match the price. I acknowledged that with $10 for shipping and $20 for FFL transfer fee added to the price, it would cost me $595. I simply asked him if they would consider reducing their price to something closer to $600. Even before we could have any conversation on the subject, he stiffened up and went into a mini-tirade about how these companies price it at $5 over cost, but he has to pay the light bill. I understand that shops don’t like having to compete with online sellers, but the reality is they do exist and, unfortunately, can’t be ignored. I was quite willing to pay more for the gun from his local business and have a good ongoing relationship. And I wasn’t being demanding or pushy. But he was hearing nothing. He didn’t say something like “I’ll sorry, I can’t do that on this model”, or “I’d like to have your business, can I show you some alternative” nor anything that resembled a cordial exchange.Instead he just turned his back to me and walked away. I was amazed. I said, “OK, but you don’t have to get indignant about it.” and I started to leave. As he was walking back towards the back, he responded very loudly so everyone in the store could hear: “It’s not like I told you to F_ _ _ OFF!” At which point some other employee behind the counter towards the back of the store, who was not at all involved in the conversation, shouts just as loudly: “Yeah, there’s the door, keep on walking, go!”I’m not offended by being turned down in an offer. But this was a disgusting display of public humiliation of a customer… for the simple offense of asking to negotiate a price.I’m not new to purchasing guns, I have owned guns since I was a kid (now in my early 70’s), an NRA life member, and a former FFL & Class 3 dealer. This shop would have been happy to have me as a customer. Sometimes shops that have been around for awhile, and have a large customer base of NEW RESIDENTS, forget how to treat people. Especially in a time of high demand like now,

Dude really required “money on the table” to examine the bore on a used rifle.

We had a great experience when we came here about a week ago. Received fabulous training and had such a good time we came back the next day!!! Now I think we are hooked and coming back again this weekend.

I am a retired officer of 20 years, and veteran. I have been going to this store/range for quite a while now, and I must say I have never had any issue here. From the purchase of firearms, to using the range with my family, friends, and club I belong too. Senior, his family, and employees, have been curtious and respectful to me. They may be busy at times, and cant get to you right away, but they acknowledge you, and help you out when you ask for it. I will continue to give my support to this family business.

Very neat place, good variety of guns, store is packed with antiques and fun merchandise. The employees are very kind and knowledgeable. This place is more than just a gun shop, it’s an experience.

While most of the staff was courteous, the owner was less than cordial with an arrogant attitude that will send us to a different gun shop where our business is appreciated.It doesnt need to be Mr. Rogers Neighborhood, but a bit of courtesy would go far to encourage good customer relations and return business. Donkey of an owner describes Gordon perfectly. After all, you guys are NOT the only game in town, theres a new gun shop right down the road!

This is my go to place for all my gun needs. A very professional and friendly staff with an incredible amount of knowledge in firearms. They have a wide selection of handguns and rifles at great prices, including ammo and accessories. You can shoot all day at their indoor shooting range for one low price. Looking to purchase a gun but not sure what you should buy? They will help you and you could rent one of their rental guns to try. Great place.

Gun store with huge selection of handguns & rifles along with an attached shooting range. This should be a 4/5 star rating. But its not 4/5 star & that is because of the unbelievably poor & negative attitude & actions of the Owner/Manager. Im being very kind here as the proper descriptive words would make this a profanity laden post. Lets just say I went to purchase a handgun, cash in pocket. Sales person helping me was great. I was going to buy but the donkey of Owner/Managers behavior led me to walk out of store. I purchased handgun I was looking for at another gun store, which had just as good of selection, lower prices & a friendly staff! I Wouldnt Waste My Time Here for anything other than to use the range if you dont have a better option.

Very friendly and knowledgeable just bought my first gun from then. When you buy a gun you get 1 free range visit and $10 per visit for one year. Thats a big incentive if you ask me. Bought a shotgun. Firing pin broke and a replacement could not be found.Gordon replaced the shotgun with another make at no cost to me. He backs his sales. The Gun Shop is fantastic! The range is well kept and very safe. There are counters to keep your range bag and ammo, so no cramming everything into your shooting stall or putting it on the floor. It is a very relaxed environment here. The shop provides a great atmosphere for responsible firearm owners to practice using their firearms. There is also no time limit on your range rental. Be there all day if you want. The store is awesome! They have a wide variety of firearms and accessories to fit anyones needs. The staff is the best. They know their stuff without pushing products to make a sales goal. Example, after looking at a pistol the owner noticed I was left handed. He suggested that I look at the HK V9 for its grip and ambidextrous magazine and slide releases. He didnt have to do that; however he picked up on jt needs and made a suggestion to help improve my overall firearm experience. A few months later I ended up buying that HK. Bottom line, dont hesitate to do business here. Great people, wonderful atmosphere, and a safe place to practice!

If youve been a shooter for more than a few decades you know some gun stores have a distinct culture. Some stores are cop based, some are hunter based, some are ultra-male-centric,militia-style, liberty or death based and some are just there to make money, nothing more. This is different.We met Gordon and Gordon Jr and my adult daughter liked them and the place enough I decided to join. I ask and find out there is a FREE range membership if you buy a gun! I dont need much coaxing to buy another gun, got my daughter a new Ruger LCP2 in Tiffany Blue and stainless. That means s range trip is only ten bucks now!I cant overstate how important it is to have a place to shoot where my daughter and I feel safe and comfortable. They are serious about both. The range etiquette we saw from others using the range was ample evidence that this is a tight ship. Ive spent a lot of time in ranged and people playing fast and loose with range rules scares me. I HATE it when I turn around and see people loading mags behind me for instance. Not going to happen here.Come by, buy a gun, hit the range, bring a friend or family member and make it a regular thing. I found their prices to be great, their knowledge is deep, and their lifetime warrantee is almost unbelievable. We have been going a couple of times a month since September and its consistently a great, safe, comfortable time.

The day I went they were very busy. The young man at the counter was very friendly and extremely attentive to each and every customer. The cost was 16 dollars a day. Nice and simple range with well marked distances. I shot about 300 rounds and on the last mag my gun jammed. I took it to the counter where the young man knew exactly how to get me sorted out. He made me feel important and showed me the foul round that caused the jam. He assured me it happens all the time and I left with a lesson that should it happen again Id be able to fix myself. They seemed to have a wide selection of rifles and handguns in the shop. A-plus and a must visit if youre in the area.

I really enjoy the practical tactical shoot conducted a couple days each month. You get to move and shoot under direction of a SO similar to IDPA. Courses change each month. All have been innovative and fun. Well worthwhile.

They teach a very good CWP class, lots of examples, details, teacher Mr Biddle very exacting. Small class so opportunities to ask questions, bring a lunch you can eat during class cause he never stops, lots of info to absorb. Highly recommend the teacher.

They were able to at least have a gun similar to the one that my wife wanted to which was a very big plus factor. Buyer bewareSold me a fairly old revolver 2 weeks ago, I was never told it didn’t work properly. After speaking with someone a week ago after I shot it for the first time he told me to try different ammunition. Today I did and it worked a little better but still had miss fires . When I address the problem with management I was told in so many words I am screwed. The store would not do I damm thing about it . They said what did I expect it’s old .Screwed

As far as their range I love it i have lots of good memories shooting here a lil costy but worth it good collection of guns got my ar15 here 3 years ago and its still running strong they had the cheapest price around on the Smith and Wesson M& P 15 sport 2 I highly recommend this gun

Ive bought multiple guns from the Gunshop & Gun range, theyve always been knowledgeable and helpful. I had an issue with a SIG product and they sorted it for me, loaned me a product and kept me updated all along. Get that in a big box store, I dont think so. They may not be the cheapest but you pay for what you get!!Give them a try I wasnt disappointed.

They wanted to charge me the range fee to look after my young cousin shooting. Their hearing protection is inadequate. Also, this is a gun shop that does not allow loaded concealed carry. You are better off not going to this place.

I called the Gun shop inquiring about empty bullet cases for a Fathers Day crafts project. They told me to come on in. When I got there we were greater with some awesome pups. I had my son 4 year old son with me. The owner gave him this awesome hat (that he wont stop wearing) and they gave us the empty shells. Im not a huge shooter but my husband bought his gun from this gun store. I would recommend them any day. And also go out of my way to go back there again versus another gun shop!!!!

We visited The Gun Shop on our holiday from England, having been there on our last trip two years ago. The shop itself is very well equipped, the range facilities are excellent, and all staff are helpful and friendly.I took my three boys along (9, 7 and 5 years old - nearly 6) to shoot for the first time. They all had an absolute blast and it was an experience they wont forget for a long time. They took their targets away, and Im sure theyll want to show and tell all their friends when we get back.In between shooting the two that were in the viewing gallery were obviously waiting around (supervised obviously - I didnt just leave them out there!), so to make things go that little bit sweeter the owner brought out some cookies for the kids and even gave them a hat on the way out.I would highly recommend a trip here if youre coming to Florida, whether its with kids or just adults, for a comparatively low cost experience you wont forget. Being as I had never fired a gun before I was a little apprehensive about going to a shooting range but the gentlemen who work here are incredibly patient and knowledgeable. I had a great time, I felt safe and confident and I will definitely return.

Totally coming back to the range, the owner is very professional and is very helpful. Wonderful customer service, the shop is full of items that are incredibly cool. Should go and check it out.

This place is horrible and the employees here are very rude/disrespectful. For background purposes, I am a retired police officer. I went into this shop late December, 2017, to purchase ammunition for one of my multiple firearms. The employee that assist me was very disrespectful. During my transaction with him, he became confrontational. The owner (Gordan) of the shop, which I’ve known for years (White male, glasses, bald, approximately 5’11 - 6’1 ft tall, approximately 60 years old) supported this rude employee. I don’t believe the owner remembered me due to my casual attire. The issue I have with this shop is that staff here only appears to be respectful when you enter the shop wearing professional attire (police uniform, business suit, etc). This store is overpriced and doesn’t even offer blue label deals for law enforcement (Discounted Gloc prices). From now on, I will conduct business at Pats pawn and sales located on U.S Hwy 441, Leesburg.

If I could give this so called sho a negative star I would . Being in LEO for over 20 years this place has to be the worst customer service Ive had . Ther are rude and I would recommend anyone find someplace cleaner with better staff. My 1st experience I walked in so that I could have a rifle transfers from out of state that I ordered online . Even though they have an FFL they said they would not do it because it was to much work . No problem on my way out they stated they were a blue label dealer . My kids wanting to buy me a birthday gift i referred them to this shop. They were quoted a price over the phone. When i went in to show my credentials The person that my family talked to gave me a totally different price . I will be emailing GLOCK and informing them of there price mark ups. I guess they dont realise that you can just go and look up the blue label price on glocks web site . I hope all Law Enforcement in the Lake and Sumpter county area find another place.

I never had a problem with the staff. Never seen the range was told my ak74 would mess it up with out the proper ammo and told me that that ammo is expensive. Getting my second gun today.

Horrible customer service. Called the range Saturday night to confirm they were open Sunday & if we could reserve in advance. Lady said no reserving, just show up at 10 & we would be good. So we did. When we showed up the guy said the range was closed for a match & wouldnt be open til 1pm. Tried to explain we had called the night before & wasnt told about it. He didnt care. Completely blew us off. We will Never go to this location again.

WOULD NOT RECOMMEND. WORST MANAGEMENT AND EMPLOYEES.My husband, brother in law, son, and daughter visted this place earlier today. All was fine until the end, when the owner and his son came in. The skinny son, with glasses, not the one with the broken arms, anyways, The skinny son came in the observation room, the same room my 3yr old and 12yr old are in, snatches the loaded gun off of my husbands lap, and drops the fully loaded clip on the floor. While my children were in the room. I agreed to let my kids go there to learn gun safety, we wanted my 3 year old to see that guns are dangerous, and we let the 12 year old shoot. How is this grown man, who works at a gun store and gun range, going to show such blatant disrespect for a person and firearms? My husband was very upset and came out front to let them know what happened, and the owener, skinny boys daddy, decides instead of apologizing about his sons rudeness, to argue with my husband because he didnt follow the rules. Thats great, he didnt follow the rules, but does that give anyone working at your store, relative or not, a right to grab someones gun from their lap and drop an entire clip to the floor in front of children? No. Obviously management is too slow in the head to realize two wrongs do not make a right. A verbal warning would have sufficed. And to put MY CHILDREN in danger, because they think they can do what they want? Does not fly with me. Im very unhappy and very upset. I would never recommend this place. Poor attitudes, poor management.In response to the owner, my husband told you and your other son he was showing the little one how to load and unload guns in that room, and you all said ok.And like I said before, two wrongs do not make a right, your son was wrong on so many levels. You and your family need to learn how to use your words. Grabbing someones loaded gun and dropping a full clip on the floor next to my 3yr old is not okay. You still want to argue and not admit that you were in the wrong too, but thats okay. My review was made and my recommendations are done. Yall have a beautiful day! God bless!

I found this a good place to shoot. It is clean and well cared for.I would have liked only one change, I like to handload and they dont allow handloads.Aside from that..I would say that this is a very nice place to shoot.Well worth a visit.Bob
