Great sale prices. Fun finds. Remember to check for coupons...then the savings can really start to stack up. I had a helpful floor associate and also an informative cashier that explained how the MICHAELS APP is a must going forward. Ive already earned bonus dollars and have a coupon in the app that I have not seen on line.
The store was fine, but it was a struggle to get the cashier to accept the coupon that the Michaels app gave me to use there. Maybe next time just scan the code, let the register do its thing and move on instead of arguing whether or not you think it should be valid.
Good place for arts & crafts but very limited choice of color yarns.
Framing department is absolutely wretched. After 2 weeks + of waiting for a frame job and no status updates I decided to call to see when it would be ready only to find out that they havent even started it. Gave some lame excuse of having to re-order the frames. Its obvious that some customers are on a pay-no-mind list. These are not good people.
That the framing department was most helpful. It does take time if youre having something framed, so plan on several weeks lag time before your order is ready.
Drove all the way there for an in store pick order they said they had but wasn’t ready until tomorrow
I’m extremely disappointed after going to Michaels yesterday to get some needed supplies. Extremely rude, arguing on prices that were placed in the system differently than advertised on the shelves. Told “I don’t have time” when there was only one other person in the store... just extremely rude from even getting to the counter, like she couldn’t be bothered. Honestly and I’ve worked in customer service for years some of the worst service I’ve ever seen... and I’ve lived in NYC. I’ve been a loyal customer for years and the only reason I’m giving 2 stars is the fact that I have had a much better experience with the other employees. But one bad egg can ruin it for the rest.
Was told after standing in line for 10 minutes that they could only accept cash.
Talking steps to keep customers and staff safe
Waited 30 minutes to checkout because there was only one cashier in the store and the Manager was in the back eating cake. When i asked the cashier to page the manager after 30 minutes she did and the manager came out eating her cake. I tried to talk to her and she said good bye. She had a nasty attitude and didnt care about her employees or customers.
Its a decent craft store.
I consider Michaels a fun store to gather items when doing a specific craft or multiple projects. The company itself has been around since my childhood and since has adapted through different generations making it a trustworthy store with many well known brands. However, I would suggest directly checking online first for certain sewing needs. If your going to use them rather than a traditional sewing store like Jo-Ann fabrics, because they are somewhat limited with accessories they carry in the store and online (items out of stock online with no further info).Michaels has always been a very diverse store in what they carry. I find it to be a craft store that will definitely carry name brand and specific items known in the craft world. If your a crafter you have to be able to trust the products that are being sold to you as you are doing the exact same thing. If your in that crazy world!I did my first online purchase/same day pick up with Michaels that day. My order was placed at 0500 that morning for a pair of sewing sheers. I dropped by around lunchtime to check the status of my order, and they got it ready for me. I did need purchase some items in the store as well. It was a bit peculiar on my end to check twice at opposite ends of the store.
A great place for arts and crafts Specifically if you wanna make em
Friendly staff, quality framing work
I got alot of nice Xmas markdowns for $5.00.
Not a lot of selection nor stocked very well with what they do offer. Employees are always polite and helpful though.
Usually has what Im looking for
Clean and the quality is good.
In this store I am like a kid in candy bar. Variety of items and stores peaceful arrangement urge me to browse more.I mostly visit Michaels leesburg but this and sterlings, both are so good.
Great Christmas And items for school..Love Michaels
The new Scott Brothers line of picture frames are gorgeous and the framer did an awesome job matting and framing a 1989 photo of the Berlin Wall coming down -- turned a b/w poster into a work of art. And a coupon saved me 70%!
Great customer service
Standard Michaels. Service was quick and friendly.
Its a Michaels, you pretty much know what youre getting. Good deals on picture frames.
This place has so many great things that are hard to find.
Very helpful staff and this location had things that other Michaels in my area did not.
Awesome staff... I got bewildered by all the artsy fartsy stuff and just wanted pencils and a sketchpad...I asked and they told me where to find what I wanted. On a side note if you go to their website you can get great deals, they scanned a 70 percent off coupon from my phone.
Love Michaels for all craft supplies!
Went in for an art project and the cashier politely helped and even shared ideas for my art project.... which is way more than I asked for and Im very pleased with the store and the customer services they provide...
Never ever will I return to this store. After waiting in line for 30 minutes (because they only had two cashiers working on the 2nd to last weekend before Christmas) I left empty handed. I was trying to purchase 5 items (picture frames, vanilla, and silicone baking molds), and had two coupons I wanted to use. One was 50% off one full priced item (which I wanted to use on the $20 picture frame), and another coupon that was 20% of your entire purchase. The picture frames were $20 full price, the vanilla was tagged at $6.99 on the shelf, and the silicone molds were $4.99 each (I wanted two). Yet somehow my total came to $53. How is that possible? I certainly know how to add. 20+7+5+5= 47, and that would be without coupons. Yet my total was more than that??? Neither of my coupons were expired. In fact, they were both only valid today, 12/16. And the 20% of was only good after 3pm, and it was 3:30 by the time I got to a register. When I asked the cashier why this was my total, she said she didn’t know why the coupons weren’t working, and that there was nothing she could do about it. When I asked who I could talk to about this, she said here was no one available at this time. So I left, and happily made my purchase on Amazon when I got home. I have never been more upset or disappointed with the lack of customer service, in any store, than I was today. Goodbye Michaels. You have lost a customer forever.
I usually love Michael’s but this store is a nightmare! One person (yes I said one) on the cash register the Friday before Christmas! The line was wrapped around the store and no one ever came to help. Oh but there was a lady (manager possibly) who came to complain that no one was coming in and framing was leaving at 6:30 or 7 so no one would be there from that department the rest of the night. I didn’t really see anyone on the floor working either. After the manager relayed to the solo cashier help wasn’t coming she went in the office (presumably to try to call staff in, but she really left the single cashier in a tough spot)! Plus all but maybe one of the lights in the parking lot was out!
Great arts and crafts selection and the girls that work at the check-outs are very nice and helpful. They also do picture framing and I think they have a better selection of frames than Hobby Lobby.
Good craft store. Great range of items and fair prices. Remember to check for coupons.
I love Michaels! Prices are better than Joanns on many items.
Cant beat the prices. A broad selection of craft items but dont expect anything on the higher end. All inexpensive to midling.
Has everything for your crafting needs.
The best place for DIY :)
Extremely rude, condescending employees. Use being short-staffed as an excuse for remorseless incompetence.
Great store with great products with amazing prices..
Best Mexican restaurant in town. Authentic tortillas! Tacos, Soup, Chicken Quesadillas. My 4 year old devours the quesadillas and and the queso dip.
Michaels is a really good place to get a few items however they give you tons of coupons for stuff thats not on sale but everythings on sale. so the coupons dont always work the way you would want them to. if youre using a teacher discount they will not use that in conjunction with the coupon and that sucks. not to mention that theyre framing is way too expensive I would definitely go to a small independent framing store theres one in Ashburn thats reasonably priced.
Small, often not well stocked and commonly cant find the item Im looking for or they dont carry it.
Clean bright and inviting. The lady stocking the shelves actually had used the products. Her recommendations were spot on.
I love everything about Michaels.
So many great craft items!
Nice store. My wife is the arts and crafts person....
Had the art supplies I needed and helpful
They have nice stuff
Love michaels, even tho I prefer the Leesburg location over stelring, still fun .
This is a great place. It always has a good team that helps you and they also always have coupons and good deals
Needed something to draw hilites on a photo print. Store associate guided me to the right markers, all the colors I would ever want!
Got my kit and new classes if water coloring, so much fun
Always a good selection and experience.
Extensive selection of typical crafting supplies readily available but Ive always found Michaels stores to be so so. Products are typically very overpriced and I would rather wait a few days for more affordable crafting supplies offered via numerous online vendors with the added bonus of not having to make a trip to a crowded store.
Good
Bright, well laid out, well stocked and knowledgeable staff.
Great store with friendly employees.
Will not spend another dime in this place until they take down that framed jersey of Albert Haynesworth... Which for sale, btw, for ridiculous dollars..
Good for when you want to get art stuff..i mean like, 8ts an art store
Good store with a friendly staff. Nice clothes, good prices.
Great crafts store, with good holiday discounts.
Great customer service! Cant say enough about it. Last week I was told late one night that needed to get somthing for my daughter for school. I called and found out it was 10 minutes to closing and I was 15 minutes away. Manager stayed late and was very helpful, even though it was after hours.
Nice but needs more scale models. all the models are very old and for beginners. I dont like hobby lobby but i have to go there to get quality scale tanks. please add some tamiya items people will buy them
This place is a great crafts store. They even have a kids section.
Staff super not helpful.
Nice staff and busy store.
