I greatly appreciate when local municipalities pay contribution to their veterans. This memorial Park was well put together but sadly maintained tribute. The flags they fly are weathered in distressed. The gravel used in the landscaping is cheap. The bushes are inside condition. If I were not a sojourner I would definitely petition to have this memorial reconditioned.As far as the playground it was very small for the toddlers. They did have a very large slide playground but is age restricted. It did have a swing for the disabled and toddler swings. The park was clean and quiet.The downside was the parking. as youre trying to get out the stroller from the trunk people were buzzing by closely and with great speed. Be careful.

My grandson and I always have a great time when we go here. And I also enjoy exercising and walking at this park its a nice clean friendly atmosphere. Isnt he the cutest three year old.

Leeds Memorial Park is the best playground in Birmingham. With three story playplaces and an old fashioned merry-go-round, it cant be beat. The natural part of the park surrounding the creek is gorgeous, and the whole park has a lovely view of sunset. Its a great place to end a beautiful day.

Beautiful park. Shady and inviting, a dog walking environment. Most people are reasonable enough to leash their animals, but occasionally there is a person who doesnt. Bring your own doggy bags, they may or may not have any available.

It’s a beautiful park but there are a few places that need attention. Rusty screws on the steps/ladder to the slide.

Theres something for everyone here. Childrens play equipment, picnic tables, pavilions, ball parks, a stream and the beauty of natural boulders and trees.

This park is very spacious and has two sides with at least three playgrounds, a large covered picnic shelter, a couple of baseball fields, a creek, a neat shaded area of large rocks, and paved pathways. I only visited the baseball field side. I did not visit the restrooms as they were closed due to covid. On the baseball field side, there is at least one large shelter with many picnic tables under it that overlooks the two playgrounds for both younger and older kids. The larger playground has huge slides. I saw a person in a wheelchair on the larger playground, so Im assuming theres a ramp or path into it but I did not see it. There is a separate area for older kid swings, including one handicap-accomodating one (though I did not notice a ramp for wheelchairs), with a bench nearby. The younger kids playground has swings on it for toddlers and ride-on type rocking toys. Both have wood chip surfaces, neither is shaded.Signs state no smoking and no dogs are allowed within the baseball area. There are concession stands. Its a good place to play kickball.The wooded area between the baseball fields and playground has many large rocks that kids enjoy climbing on, and are also good for sitting on if you need to rest and the bench is unavailable. You can probably find a good set of trees for hanging a hammock between as well.All the benches I saw were shaded by trees, but there are not many benches, so bring a chair or blanket for crowded days. There is plenty of grass for frisbee, tossing a ball, bubbles, and tag.Across the road, I could see a smaller playground with a single metal slide. My family who lives in the area said the water flowing through is trashy and not to get in it, so we didnt bother heading that way with all our kids. These slides are huge. Huge. Great variety of play equipment, lots of open space, a walking path, parking, pavilion with tables, bbq grill, think I saw some ball fields too. I saw one single porta potty. Not great with 2 small kids. Also some guy in the parking lot just reading by himself kinda put me on edge.

Great park! One of the tallest playgrounds around. Nice jogging track. They rent patios for birthday parties. I havent used this service but I recommend it for kids parties.

This park is Awesome! My 9 year old loved this park. The slides are super tall and super fun. There are lots of things for the kids to do and plenty of space for them to run and play.

Come here after with my wife to walk the track. Its a little over a mile long. The playground could use some work though. Some of the swings are broken. Occasionally there is trash on the ground around the cans but mostly from animals during the night. We walk early to beat the heat, before anyone gets out there to clean up. There is rarely more that just a few people there if you get there before 8ish. The walking track is in fair shape, could do with some patching.

Its the best park weve been to. Theres something for everyone. Swimming or fishing in the creek, benches in shade, picnic tables and barbecue grills. A walking track and huge playground.

Leeds Park is pristinely clean! It has a huge playground for the kids and a very nice walking track for adults! Beautiful spot to visit!

This park is huge and has lots of room to run and play for kids. There is also a walking track and creek area.

First time here and will be going back. The place offered alot of different things to do. Great play area for the kids. Had a lot of places to set and watch the creek. I always enjoy that. Ball fields was in great shape. And the memorial part was very nice.

My boyfriend first took me here and gave me a tour of the park and a little history story on it as well. Its a nice little park for sure. Nice walking track, place for the kids to play. And the memorial for the local military people is interesting to check out.

It should be mowed in the middle of the week so its ready for either Monday or Friday

My Sons looooooove this Park. There is a walking trail for a nice dose of Nature. The sound from the little critters is like music. The playground is like a mini Amusement Park and even has a Merry Go Round!!!!!!! Go enjoy ️

Big playground, walking trail, swimming in the creek for kids, baseball park and soccer field, pleasant hiking trails behind the park along the creek. Great place for picnic.

Great park to take your kids, go for a run in nature, or have a picnic. There is plenty of activities for kids on the playground. There are twin 3 level playsets with slides that will definitely have the young ones pushing the speed limit. If thats too intimidating for some then there is a Seperate area with smaller slides and bouncers more suitable for some. The park in all covers a lot of ground and also contains Leeds little league ballpark tucked away in the back. Great place to get outside with my daughter and have hours of fun with for FREE.

Love the park layout. Lived in the area several years ago but the park visit is worth the drive from Birmingham before or after visiting the mall

Excellent place to walk or run and bring the kids. The playground is ginormous and features a merri-go-round, swings, slides, and smaller equipment for the young-ins. There is also a large creek to picnic beside or play in.

This place is great for walking and taking your child to play. Would give 5 stars but they are lacking seating for parents to watch children play. Thats all.

We had a great time at the Creek Bank Bank Festival. The Birmingham Chick-Fil-A Herd of Cows were there and made the day!

Leeds Memorial Park is a great place for young children, adults and teens. This park has a large play area with huge slides and swings. Great walking track for adults and baseball fields are in the back and well lit during the evening hours. Covered pavillions can be rented for birthday parties and get togethers. The park hosts The Creek Bank Festival annually plus other festivals . Kids and pets love playing in the shallow creek onsite. LMP has plenty of shaded areas and restrooms, although some are portable, the baseball field has other restrooms. Leeds is a small, but growing community. and has made vast improvements in their city to promote growth and a family atmosphere.

This park is a shining jewel for Leeds. The memorial is very meaningful and well done. The Little Cahaba River meanders through the park and is well kept, as are the grounds of the park. There is a nice, paved walking track which is well used and dogs are welcome as long as they are leashed and you clean up after them. They even provide stations with plastic bags and garbage cans.Two nice playgrounds have been constructed and are bordered by benches and a couple of large pavilions. One includes a monster enclosed slide! Shade trees abound and there is a nice suspended across the river connecting the park sections.Behind all of this beauty and fun is a sports park with ball fields and parking. You cant go wrong here. Even if you just take your lunch break and have a picnic, you will be blessed.

They need to clean the creek up. Alot of families swim in the water. And everytime we go we pick up trash but its just always nasty again when we get back. Theres glass in the water near the bridge.
