This park is the perfect place to relax on a Sunday afternoon. There is a mulched walking trail along the canal, numerous trails along the hillside through meadows and wooded areas, and gorgeous, spacious lawns for picnicking or playing catch down below the canal. Its total area is huge and leaves plenty of room to feel almost secluded among groves of trees or on paths through the meadows. Bonus: this park is along the Lebanon Valley Rail Trail No playgrounds or sports courts, but kids can find lots of room to run, kick balls around, or climb trees.
Very nice park. Visited to see the historic canal tunnel but also enjoyed a pleasant walk along the path. Definitely worth a visit.
Love the historical placards and walking in different parts of the park to see the historic canal and Union Canal Tunnel.
I loved the park before, but now its great with the remake of it.
Parking area allows a bare glimpse of the Canal from a vehicle. Shady site with picnic tables available. Unfortunately, the bronze marker of the stone monument located at the top of the Tunnel on Tunnel Hill Road has been removed, for reasons unknown, hopefully not by vandals.
This park was not well kept. Weeds growing all over the place. Benches with high grass growing around them and under them. High weeds and grass everywhere. Needs a lot of trimming and weeding. This park has great potential to be a very nice park, but needs to be better taken care of. Hard also to determine where the trails go. Needs a lot of work!
Union canal tunnel is a great place for nature and a beautiful walk along the canal with Scenic views
Nice little path to walk enjoy the views. Great place to just get out and go walk for a little and see some PA history

Decent little park. Good for walking. There was people walking their dogs. I went fishing there. Caught some sun fishes, and some bass. I would go again to see what else I can catch
There was a re-enactment of the war with the Americans & Confederates. Best experience ever. Really enjoyed how friendly everyone was as well as dressed from that era. Appreciate the time as well as effort everyone put into it. It was a beautiful, memorable, as well as historic event that I enjoyed watching. Thank you all & bless you all

Nice place
Beautiful area
This park, owned by the Lebanon County Historical Society, is the site of the oldest transportation tunnel in the U.S. the tunnel was the highest point on the Union Canal. The park includes a section of the canal and on the north side also has one of the remaining canal locks. There are some walking trails and the society is in the process of erecting the oldest log barn in Lebanon County, which was disassembled and stored some years ago when the farm was sold to a developer. On summer weekends there are canal boat rides available, which go through the tunnel.
So peaceful and relaxing for everyone in the family
Amazing stop and must see.
Love it as long as it doesnt get altered anymore..leave it alon...no go ahead do what ya want..
Well worth the trip!!Tied in very well with our trip to the Allegheny Portage Railroad in August.

This use to be a great park years ago. Then the Hysterical Society ( yes hysterical!) started to according to them clean house and ruined it completely.A big loud mouth called Pete was running around there following and screaming at people and it became so bad that volunteers who had been there for years left. Now days it seems it gotten even worst with badge wearing over the top controlling a holes who think they are God’s gift to this what once was a nice peaceful place to go visit.Great job hysterical society for ruining one of Lebanon’s greatest parks. Shame on u!
Very quiet place to stroll. Overgrown ivy though...be careful
Excellent well-maintained park with historic value.
Nice quiet place. Has picnic tables & a pavilion.
Very relaxing, spacious place for a stroll.
This is a small, cozy park. It doesnt have any playgrounds, so may not be the best for small kids. It has a couple of walking paths, a very large open field (great for playing with dogs), and of course the canal itself. Its a pretty place and we love to go and just eat a picnic lunch here. Theres a small boat ride offered on Sundays as part of the local historical society where they explain the historical value of the place, which is one of the few touristy things in all of Lebanon and probably the best one.
Beautiful scenery, easy access, not too busy
Park is well-maintained and constantly being improved.
