This park is the perfect place to relax on a Sunday afternoon. There is a mulched walking trail along the canal, numerous trails along the hillside through meadows and wooded areas, and gorgeous, spacious lawns for picnicking or playing catch down below the canal. Its total area is huge and leaves plenty of room to feel almost secluded among groves of trees or on paths through the meadows. Bonus: this park is along the Lebanon Valley Rail Trail No playgrounds or sports courts, but kids can find lots of room to run, kick balls around, or climb trees.

The park has an antique feel to it. Canal tunnel is something interesting to watch. The place is quiet and there are boats docked in side.

Love the open Grass/ Field areas, with wide mowed walk paths saw deer, many varieties of birds, and tree species. They have a canal boat that says it runs on Sundays. But Im sure during Covid19 that is suspended. And It is right next to the RXR trail access (Elizabeth town to Lebanon)

Parking area allows a bare glimpse of the Canal from a vehicle. Shady site with picnic tables available. Unfortunately, the bronze marker of the stone monument located at the top of the Tunnel on Tunnel Hill Road has been removed, for reasons unknown, hopefully not by vandals.

This park was not well kept. Weeds growing all over the place. Benches with high grass growing around them and under them. High weeds and grass everywhere. Needs a lot of trimming and weeding. This park has great potential to be a very nice park, but needs to be better taken care of. Hard also to determine where the trails go. Needs a lot of work!

This park, owned by the Lebanon County Historical Society, is the site of the oldest transportation tunnel in the U.S. the tunnel was the highest point on the Union Canal. The park includes a section of the canal and on the north side also has one of the remaining canal locks. There are some walking trails and the society is in the process of erecting the oldest log barn in Lebanon County, which was disassembled and stored some years ago when the farm was sold to a developer. On summer weekends there are canal boat rides available, which go through the tunnel.

This use to be a great park years ago. Then the Hysterical Society ( yes hysterical!) started to according to them clean house and ruined it completely.A big loud mouth called Pete was running around there following and screaming at people and it became so bad that volunteers who had been there for years left. Now days it seems it gotten even worst with badge wearing over the top controlling a holes who think they are God’s gift to this what once was a nice peaceful place to go visit.Great job hysterical society for ruining one of Lebanon’s greatest parks. Shame on u!

This is a small, cozy park. It doesnt have any playgrounds, so may not be the best for small kids. It has a couple of walking paths, a very large open field (great for playing with dogs), and of course the canal itself. Its a pretty place and we love to go and just eat a picnic lunch here. Theres a small boat ride offered on Sundays as part of the local historical society where they explain the historical value of the place, which is one of the few touristy things in all of Lebanon and probably the best one.
