It was really fun, great speed and an easy way to get back up the hill with a lift. The only reason I give it four stars was because the some of the employees working outside were either jerks or had know idea what they were doing. Making the lines go twice as long as it should have been. But overall, great time.
It was easy to find and in a great location, but the staff was completely inappropriate. They were smoking around children and fooling around while people were trying to get on the slopes. Also, make sure to go there after 4 if you want to have a fun time since there wont be very many people and the hill will be slippery. Overall, it was a great time for my family.
Went on Thursday night 2/20. Staff was super nice and friendly. Made sure that people were doing what was asked in their mini tour, good idea. Hill was fast and the staff kept me and my family safe. Will definitely be returning. Forewarning, listen to the staff for the best time! Thanks iron valley
Did my family and I have fun? Yes, we want New Years Eve, due to rain tubing was a little slow but still very fun. My only issue so far is the BIG LACK OF COMMUNICATION on the employees end. We were not asked if this was our first time tubing, I think that should be asked so you are aware how much info to give the customers. Letting us know the dangers and safety tips needed Like letting us know we need to roll over to get off the lift. I was literally thrown off by an female employee, who showed no remorse when I asked if that’s how your suppose to do it she just looked at me. No explanation no are you okay. I hit the wood next to the lift and have a bruise because I was trying to figure how to get off safely. The female employee continued to pin point at us, counting how many times we go down the hill, rude to our kids who where very well behaved. Lack of communication and 0 customer service from those employees. Not all the employees are at fault however it’s a team effort l. Customer service is 80/20 that’s 80 communication and 20 service. It was just not pleasant we were so happy when those ladies went on there lunch break.
Do not believe the bad reviews. Place has the fastest and longest runs in the area. Staff is friendly and explains all the rules for a safe and enjoyable experience. Will definitely return.
Tubing was great! The rest of our experience not so much. Air bag at the bottom of the slopes is either not being used properly or isnt installed correctly as my wife went through the bag and proceeded to go through the fences directly behind it! Staff insists young kids carry the tubes which are very heavy because they dont want them drug over the stones, staff never offered to help carry tubes for young children. The club house service was as if we were a bother to them, all in all the tubing was very good, management and service very poor.
Me and my family had lots of fun. I was very disappointed that tubes didn’t not have rockets for speed on them. Maybe one day. The snow was fun to tube on. My family was having lots of fun and joy. Thank you again family of iron valley
We had a good time here. We found some of the staff to be very nice and helpful. We got there early so we had quite a few runs in before it started getting crowded. I would suggest watching the video they have on line first so you know how things work. Where to check in, rolling off the tube from the tow cable, etc..
The tubing itself was fun other than people were getting stuck and slowing down on the hills. The staff was rude!! Very rude!! They talked down to patrons and were nasty and not helpful at all. There were times that the laughed at patrons in front of other patrons. They allowed teens to but in line and be disrespectful. Considering the staff were teens themselves I do think that someone older should have been there monitoring them a bit. There was only 1 return track working to pull you up the hill and as it got busier it took longer. Also when you reached the top you had to roll off the tube into turf covered gravel and the staff there was nasty as well. Out of the at least 10-15 staff members I encountered there was only 1 female that had manners and was polite.
Went on a Sunday around 2:00 p.m. 45-minute wait at max capacity with 11 lanes running. Staff seemed tired and grumpy. Tough to get yelled at by a teenager when youre 40 and keep your cool. went down the hill four times in two and a half hours and then left not a good $70 spent for two people.
Too expensive for how small it is. They ok only have one hill for adults and one for children. The wait is insane, waited 2 hours to go down once. Other places are better
We drove up from DC for a weekend trip and this was the #1 thing on our itinerary. It would have been great if you could go down the hill as many times as you wanted but we only made it 3 times in 3 hours. Definitely not worth the money or the drive! We did have a groupon so we didn’t waste as much as we could have. The Kiddie hill was great with no line and the kids were able to go over and over. We should have just paid $16 for 2 kids rather than $80 for the family. I was disappointed because I was so excited to tube all day and it was more of standing in line all day.
Terrible service slopes are not fun you have to push your way down.there is no lunge where you can warm up inside.we sat on some chairs outside the restaurant and the chef came out and said we need to leave (keep in mind the restaurant was empty). Not worth it pay a little more and go somewhere else
Not worth it. Its a golf course who added some lanes for tubing. We went and stayed for a half hr and left. We went down the hill so slow and kept having to push ourselves off because we kept stopping. The lift to bring us back up cut my neck because your sitting in your tube backward and being pulled up the hill with a wire right next to your head. You then have to roll off your tube to get off at the top of the hill.
Our time was amazing here!! Staff tried there best in slow conditions. Communication was awesome. Angry impatient customers tested the staff. Will certainly be returning!!!!!
The tubing part was great. However, the experience as a whole was a bit chaotic. My wife and I were 1.5 hours and only went down the hill 2x. The staff were disorganized. Some stood by and watched while a tuber flew through the barrier and hit the fence. The pully system that carries you back up the hill was dangerous; the cable pressed hard against my neck during the entire incline and left a mark. It was very busy today so i can understand some disorganization. Nevertheless, they need to improve their system before people get hurt.
Payed $80 for 2 adults and 1 child. Waited 30 mins in a line to go down a hill thats take 30 secs. Then waited another 30 mins in line again. We went down the hill, 1 time in 1 hour. Not to mention, its not very safe, going down or up. The employees have no idea what they are doing. Very expensive and not a fun experience. This is not a resort, its a golf course trying to make extra money during the winter. Best advice, if you and your family are bored, go bowling.
The tubing run was very slow. Staff disorganized at best. Very inefficient...it could work so much better. Mostly they showed no interest. No instruction. People cutting in line and lift broke down. Very icy walkways. Restaurant was very slow and understaffed.
Horrible experience. We were able to go down 2 times in almost 3 hours. The staff were rude and the lines were so unorganized. Weve been here before and had a good time, but it seems as though they changed the organization of how people go down the slide, which caused major delays and long waits. We will not be returning.
Had a fun time tubing with my family. There were several lanes open as well as a smaller childrens hill with plenty of staff to assist. There was good communication from the staff. It got pretty busy at some points during the day but the lines were never unbearable. The lift at the bottom of the main hill is a great feature. I didnt order food or drinks but there is a restaurant/ concession stand on the grounds.
Friendly staff and a good long tubing run. Long line at times, but still fun!!
Every time I am here it is a great experience. I look at these other reviews and it all depends on who you are and how you view your time. Making the best of any situation is the way its supposed to be, and will help anyone have a great time. Iron Valley Tubing is relatively new and still has a lot to correct and learn, and the staff is constantly coming and going so it takes time for everyone to learn the systems. Nobody should be bashing this place when in reality they would act the same if they were working here or had the stress of running the place. Weather and staff creates situations and they try their best to make sure that it is the best it can be. In 5 years when Iron Valley Tubing is experienced and has a grip on the situations presented, it will be a wonderful time for everyone. Time is needed to fix everything and Im sure other places took a while to perfect what they are doing. And those places still have problems as well. When youre there its all about what you can do to make yourselves happy, there are different situations on the hill and safety procedures everyone needs to listen to and follow. It may seem rough but will help everyone in the end.
We had fun. Suggestion is to put the direct temperature at the site on your website and put the temperature outside the door of the facility.
Waste of time and money! Staff very rude and not helpful. Equipment used was unsafe and dangerous. Couldnt pay me to return.
Iron Valley tubing is well worth the trip! With being one of the largest tubing hills in PA, it does not disappoint! Lots of fast lanes, friendly staff, and organized operations! Eating at the Miners pub restaurant was also great! Kaitlin was our server and she was wonderful! Would recommend, overall great experience!!
Was there today and kiddie section was all muddy .talk about brown snow and the whole llace smelled like manure.staff was very very rude.they talk down to you and no respect at all-poor or no customer service.i didnt come here to be yelled at and talked down by these staff members.avoid this place by all meansill never take my family back here again.AVOID THIS PLACE!
Message to the owners:If your going to charge top dollar for a 1st class experience, make sure your employees realize its their job to deliver a first class experience to your customers. This place has extreme potential but failed epically to deliver. My family got the opportunity to visit for free with a coupon given by a friend. We arrived on a Saturday evening around 6:15. The first few times down, there was no line. By 7:15 a line began to form at the top. The experience we had here was fine because we hadn’t paid any money to come. Had I paid over $100 for us to visit I would have been disappointed. More often than not, the staff at the top of the hill ignored whoever was getting ready to go down because they were too busy socializing with their buddies whom they were working with. We also drug our tubes all evening because everyone else was and I saw no signage that indicated we were supposed to carry them. When the lift monitor at the top of the hill changed hands, we were very rudely told to carry our tubes like we should have already known this.I think it’s great to see high schoolers working but please please show them how to have some decent customer service at a bare minimum.
Today we went to Iron valley after purchasing a Groupon. Never been to the place. We are 2 adults and a 5 yearold. After getting our tickets and tubes we made our way to the top of the hill. We thought it would be similar to Ski round top where you can go down holding on to someone elses tube. Our 5 yr old isnt that heavy but they said hed be fine going down alone. The 1st trip down he got stuck but luckily my partner was able to stop and help him. However, the 2nd teip down we werent so lucky. he got stuck again and this time alone. We stood at the bottom watching as no one attempted to help him. We were never given instructions before going down so he had no clue what to do as it was only his 2nd time tubing. The staff at the bottom were talking about Kobe Bryant and not doing anything at all. No one can hear them at the top. So we stood there shouting up at him to help. Meanwhile, your teenage staffs only concern was the 2 adults getting behind the cones. He was in tears when he finally made it down and by the time we made it to the belt to take us up, you had more young staff yelling about cones and not our child being stuck. One even stated he was a manager. It is unacceptable to treat customers like that. Itll be our 1st and last time ever coming there. We also expect a refund.
1st time tuber at 62. Fun time with family.Friendly, helpful staff. Need more staff to help folks off of lift and organize hilltop.Be careful of lift heavy cable when riding. Restaurant closes far too early.
Despite one of the lifts being out of service during our visit, my family and I still had a fantastic time tubing here last season. the only down side (pun intended) is the cost, be prepared to spend in the triple digits for a group of 3-4.
The cost for a family of three 2 adults one child was over seventy dollars for my first visit and I was not completely aware of exactly what was meant by Slow conditions of six times down the slope I ended up walking more then halfway down which is no wear near acceptable or even a decent value within an half hours time more people walk down the rode, they let money get in the way of value they should of closed down all operations. I feel I was completely ripped off and will never go back and we drove over three hours to get there
Excellent service, the atmosphere was wonderful. Our server was Erika and she was so helpful! I would recommend this establishment to anyone! They cater to special diets and any special needs you may have. The people they have play live music is also wonderful!
I loved this place. I really enjoyed my time with my family. The people are very friendly and caring. The prices are reasonable too.
My family and I are visiting from Miami and chose this place over the super touristy Poconos spot and we had a wonderful time. We went on a weekday night for the last 2 hours 7-9pm and it was more than enough time to go down multiple times as they were not that busy and lines were super short. I highly recommend it for the price and fun we had. This was our first time ever snow tubing and staff were very friendly and informative. Money well spent and we look forward to coming here again. Thank you!
We took our 3 year old son here for his first time tubing. We had previously only been to ski roundtop but he does not meet the age requirement so we made the drive to Iron Valley instead and we were not disappointed! Everyone had a great time and we will do all of our future tubing excursions here!
Horrible. Long wait, mud fest, no kind of supervision on the kid slide. Not to mention I almost had my head taken off by the metal rope that pulls you up at the bottom. 12 of us went, 12 of us wont be back. Very disappointed.
What an amazing experience. We had so much fun. 5 stars and we will be back!
Had so much fun tubing
We were on little warm day and the snow was melting... and they closed selling tickets after 12.30Pm which thinned the crowd and we made the best use of no wait lines...During this fun I lost my wallet and I called them and Derek and Roxanne had my wallet and they promptly mailed it back to me... Wallet had over $400 cash... Five stars for this... for facilities I would have given 3.5/4*
Had a blast. The food was great and the service was very excellent. Had a ton of fun with my family on the hill. I will definitely recommend Iron Valley to my friends.
A very fun night for the family! The kids had a lot of fun and we would definitely do it again.
Not enough tubes for all the people there, mile long lines, and poor organization. Pretty much run by high school kids. After searching for someone to help us and then being told to Just stand in line and take someone elses tube and wasting not just the 1/2 hour we spent there but the hour it took to drive there and home, we got out money refunded, left and went bowling! We will try tubing again but go to the Poconos and stick with the pros.
The staff was completely unorganized. They had no idea how to direct people at the top of the hill waiting for tubes, then there were about 8 staff just sitting and talking at the bottom of the hills. We got 3 different tubes that either had holes, were deflated, or had a cracked bottom which gets caught in the snow and makes it impossible to go down. They had 1 lift operating with a line that took nearly 20 minutes to wait in. The snow at the side should you choose to walk up instead of wait in the line was a complete mess and made it impossible to walk up. Terrible experience, will not be returning.
Was awsome but full
We visited on 2/9 for our sons 12th birthday. Our whole party was 17 people!!!!! We got less than half our tubing time in because of a very scary accident ((not in our party)). We were not compensated for anything after they closed the hill. The restaurant experience was absolutely awful, that was 17 people who also paid for meals and had awful service. We had hoped for a fun night. When an accident happens you expect them to be trained in being quick at dialing 911 at least, not asking 75 times if they should when someone lays there unconscious breaking the 2 x 6 fence with their head. That all happened because of the “fast conditions” and lack of enough equipment. They didn’t have the hill blocked at the top properly, he went down the hill, and no pillows to stop him at the bottom. A very unfortunate event. Thankful for my husband and friend who stayed with the person until the ambulance arrived along with another guy that came from the top of the hill.I sit here out $150 for tubing plus food and an experience that was just awful. No one was sympathetic and I’ve attempted many times to reach out to them thinking they’d do the right thing. They have my address and phone number and I have received nothing. Will not be back, I wouldn’t trust them in any chance of an emergency, beware!!!! My kids lives are more important than to risk something tragic like that happening to one of us. I feel awful for the person who suffered the pain that night and may still be. If you read this, I hope you are ok. The vision still haunts me and my kids.Contact me for more info if you’d like. Our whole party was a witness and never contacted for our side of everything. Half of our party was at the top of the hill and half watched it from the bottom waiting for our others to come down. A VERY UNPROFESSIONAL business.
Nice place and good facility. The staff working the slopes are young and a bit unorganized. I think they slowed the tracks down too much.
Rude employees, very unprofessional. They dont even have first aid kits. Would never bring my kids here.
We took the kids and had a blast! I think well try to make this an annual tradition.
We went on a Sunday, holiday weekend and it was PACKED! It was ridiculous full and the wait was long. The coas stressed the employees out that they were nasty and the boss wasnt any better. Guests were bringing order cause the management was poor!!ADVICE: Go during the week..Youll enjoy it! The slopes are great just not when its full and stressful for employees.
Great setup. Slopes were too fast that night to feel safe with young children. The kids slope was fun for the kids until they stopped letting the parents go with the kids for saftey reasons. This means we could either be at just the top or bottom to help our kids or not help at all and we did not feel comfortable letting our own children be so far away from us on such a busy day.. We left after they implemented that rule. We went on a Saturday and it was busy. About a 45 min wait per run on the main slope.
Was very easy to find. Super crowded with families and younger children early on, which led to a lot if waiting for tubes. Crowd thinned out around lunchtime. Was less crowded and very little wait ti.e, if any. Enjoyed the food at The Miners club restaurant. Staff was a little slow. Maybe they werent ready for the crowd. Would definitely go back, but probably later in the day.
Very nice place for small scale tubing. 5 minute wait time from 2pm to 6pm.Fast!
It was fun but alot of waiting in line, top and bottom of hill..
Great place but was full so didnt get to tube much. Lift is slow
Had a great time tubing! Definitely would come again!!
First the place was unorganized. When in line you have have to fight the people trying to get in front of you. You only get about 3 runs. In the restaurant they only had one person working
It was a great place to get out wid my honey
Came as a group of 4 on a 23° day. Sun was out and it was very cold. Bundling up is the best practice, and you will be glad you did!Staff is young, but friendly. Finding a tube was easy and the hill was right by the parking lot. The place was moderately busy, but we did not wait more than 2 minutes to go back down the hill.Getting back up was more of a challenge, for you could either walk (which took some time) or be towed up with a cable. The cable was easiest, except trying to get off the tube. Maybe there is an easier way and can be addressed by the staff.Overall we had a blast. Spent about 2 hours here and was able to ride the hill 6-8 times. I was able to attach my GoPro Hero to my chest, and even hold my GoPro karma stabilized grip in my hand as I went down, which gave me some amazing footage. The total price for 4 of us was $84.We left before the sun went down. It was getting colder by the minute.
It was fun, but the lines for tubing were long
Great place to tube @!! Worth the money!
We will definitely be back. Our entire family had such a great time tubing and the staff at Iron Valley were so nice and pleasant. I will recommend Iron Valley Tubing to all my friends and family.
Cool place. Lot of fun. Needs to be more faster the lanes, but was a nice experience.
Cold but, fun!!! We will definitely go back
At the end of lift up, it is pretty unsafe and not safe and very uncomfortable for all riders. the good thing is this place is not crowded and have turns fast. it cost 8 dollars for kids and 16 dollar if u buy tickets from Groupon. the normal price is $22
Lots of lanes on a big hill that gives long and fast runs. Kids had a blast.
Bought the family pass this year and used it once. Conditions were very slow, was crowded and kids wanted leave after 2nd run down hill. Every chance we had after that to go the conditions were same or worse. Obviously they cant control the weather, but keep that in mind before buying season pass. Highly advise against thecseason pass and checking conditions before thinking about going. The hill is not steep enough to get complete runs unless perfect conditions i suppose. Kids were less than thrilled having to walk half way down lane due to slow conditions and small hill. Wont likely be back. Better off trying a hill upstate where they have better conditions and steeper runs. Live and learn...
Lots of fun. To bad it has recently rained so was really icy, but nothing that iron valley could do about it. Great family fun
Got there 20 minutes till 7:00 and got charged the all day rate. As much as it pains me, shame on me for not waiting till 7:00. Night started out great until they ran out of tubes and my daughters tube got taken from her in line. Employees complaining that they had to run the 2nd lift.
After driving up here on a Saturday I thought this would be a better experience. Less than half the lanes are open on a Saturday, I am currently standing in line typing this as it’s been thirty minutes and I’m still not down once. Our lunch experience here was even worse. We waited 25 min before anyone even came over. It had taken an hour and twenty minutes ( I swear no exaggeration) before we got two appetizers and two kids meals. The food was good but my god the service was the worst I ever had. Next time we will try a real ski resort to see if they are better at this. This place is defiantly not staffed properly to make it enjoyable. I almost forgot they also do not have enough tubes.
This is a great place for families to enjoy a day of snow tubing. It was only a short drive from us in Hershey, PA. Highly recommend it.
This was such an awful experience. They advertise 12 lanes and they had 6 open- on a Saturday! False advertising! They don’t even have enough equipment to have 12 lanes open. There is not nearly enough tubes. We paid $32 per ticket and got down the lanes twice because it literally took 35 minutes of standing in line to go down the hill. Who wants to wait in that?! Soooo pissed that I spent an hour to drive to that! Save yourself the trip and go to a real mountain/ski resort!
Very fun for kids and Adults
Felt as though its a local known place; however, it got packed and people had to help the workers passing the tubes to keep up with the demand.
Had a great time.
Fast slopes, friendly staff
Wasnt expecting the long wait times. The ride was fun and the staff was friendly. The long lines were daunting.
This place sucks!!!!!! Only 5 lanes open took over 2 hours to go down twice and the lift is very dangerous I bet I could make a better one in my back yard! ! DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND GO TO A PROFESSIONAL SNOW TUBING MOUNTAIN! !!!!!
Less than equipped staff. I use the word staff very loosly. Theyre a bunch of 17-19 year olds who could care less about people and our safety. One kid running the lift told my 5 1/2 year old to HURRY UP. I quickly put a stop to that and got a half-assed apology. The restaurant I wouldnt even bother. ONE waitress for the entire floor. We waited over an hour and a half to get our food, and she clearly hated her job. At one point I had to go to the bar and request refills. Half our food came out cold and also came out plate by plate. Half the table was done by the time the rest go theirs. By late afternoon the hill was a sheet of ice, they were less than equipped with enough tubes. At one point it was well over 45 minutes to slide ONE hill. We saw several people FLY past the fence, one gashed his face open, the other broke a sign in HALF. Clearly these folks need to SHUT. IT. DOWN. They were down to 5 lanes because they didnt have enough rubber mats to slow people down. They also forced customers to STEAL tubes from the back of the line and then left those to fend for themselves because they didnt have enough tubes to go around.Dont sell that many tickets if you dont have enough tubes to go around! At Camelback they remove the plastic bottoms to slow the tubes down, cant they do that here so people can enjoy the ride and not be afraid for their safety? They let people go down the hill when its not even clear! I said, ITS NOT CLEAR and the KID says, its ok you can go. I dont think so idiot. READ the reviews people, and trust us when we tell you this is a dangerous place and the staff doesnt care one bit. On our last run, we missed the rubber mats completely and slammed into the padding on the fence. Stunned me and my 5 1/2 year old. My niece, the same thing happened on the next lane over. This place is terrible, I cant say it enough.Lastly, the lift. The lift cable...OMG. They actually posted a sign that says to hold onto the cable to prevent it from touching you. Are you serious? Why is that even a thing to worry about?! At the top, the staff says ROLL OFF. Excuse me? You literally roll out onto a thin piece of astro-turf. If you have bad knees or issues moving around that low to the ground, dont do it. SAVE YOUR MONEY and skip this awful place.
Great place, great food, with great service
Dont waste your time. We drove an hour and 15 min to get there. My guess 300 people and only 3 lanes open. We were there 4 hours and some of my kids went down 3 times. My husband didnt go down at all. Everytime someone demanded his tube he walked back to be another tube and this time staff took it. Finally got to the front of the line and was not given a tube. They had 5 lanes open when we arrived then closed to 3 lanes and so everyone was pissed off. People were yelling, adults were cutting in line. They are not equipped to handle a large crowd. My son went down one time and ran head first into the fence, not safe!! He has a huge headache and didnt ride again. Overall it was a horrible experience waste of time and money. Big disappointment!
Fun for the whole family!
It was slow to begin but we were told that before even checking in. It did pick up once the sun went down! Wasnt impressed with them closing lanes when lots of people were there and not enough tubes for everyone but all in all we had a good time!
They sold more tickets than they had tubes. Someone in line took my daughters tube right out of her hand. I will not be coming back.
Not impressed at all. We went expecting the7-9pm discount rate of $16 but instead we were charged the full price of $22. When we challenged it they didnt hear us out. Over all it was very unorganized. They didnt give us directions at all, we didnt know where to walk to the lanes or know where to get the tubes they werent given to us at all, we had to walk into a storage shed and grab our own, though there was probably an alternative it was not communicated to us what to do and where to go. At the top of the slopes no one was keeping the line moving towards the lanes that were open. Just lots of confusion. Would not recommend nor would I go again.
Always a good time
This place is a joke. Staff is ignorant and rude. After being here 30 mins. Have been so angry. Asked for refund n got laughed at.
Very expensive $150 for a family of 5, but a fun time.
A great place to go for everyone
Fun and something to do in lebanon.
Awesome time tubing at Iron Valley!
It was a good experience.
Great experience for the family
Great for all family
A fun time for the family!
Much fun for entire family!
Be prepared for quite a bit of walking up hill
