Every aspect of the stay was just excellent. The lodge we were in was nice and clean and neat. The kitchen appliances were modern. A very nice deck on the outside facing the Niangua river... just ideal. Looking forward to going again.

We stayed in the River Lodge/ Cabin for 2 nights. We absolutely loved it for our family- 2 adults 3 kids under 8. The cabin was perfectly equipped with the essentials and in a great location for fishing as well as floating. It was clean and cozy and perfect place to land. We’d love to come back!

Always clean, perfect for our family of ten. Owners are accommodating and very friendly! Our family always stays at the Cedar cabin. There is a trail that leads directly to the river, and it is a perfect spot for everyone to play at. It is also right across the street from Bennett Spring State Park (only a 5 minute drive).

Beautiful location and beautiful place however windows were very dirty both inside and out, ceiling fans and baseboards were very dirty as well and so were the insides of the kitchen cabinets. Not enough bath towels were provided for 10 people and also not enough toilet paper and paper towels were provided. Feel like 1 refrigerator was not big enough for cabin since it sleeps 10 people. We will be back but felt the need to post our concerns for the owners.

At Riverwood Resort the owners Stan and Dee Ann are extremely personable and helpful. We have been staying several times a season for many years now. We bring the whole family and stay in the 3 or 4 bedroom cabins and my husband and I sneak off and stay in there romantic cottages. The cabins and cottages are always very clean. The beds are large and comfortable. The full kitchen has everything you might need. You also have a deck off the back with a gas grill. The rooms are spacious and decorated nicely. Oh and They have ceiling fans in all rooms and a jacuzzi in each cabin and cottage. When youre not enjoying floating you can run over To Bennett to fish. In the evening you can enjoy cable before bed. Wonderful place, we will not stay anywhere else. Prices are great and some cabins are pet friendly.

We stayed in the River cabin and it was perfect. It has everything you really need, and has a perfect view of the river. They were so helpful on providing fishing tips. Will definitely be back.

These folks where extremely rude when I just even called to make reservations for starters. My cousin stayed here and found bugs in his room and dirty sheets.Would not recommend at all.

My husband and I took an impromptu float trip and loved our stay at Riverwood Resort. The Sycamore cabin was clean, spacious, and the perfect place to come back to after a day of floating!

Location is great! Proximity to river is amazing! We spent a lot of time fishing and walking along the river. Cabin was pretty, comfy beds, however not very clean.The roads have very large pot holes, I would not advise driving a car, very glad we drove our truck.Only 2 rolls of toilet paper were provided (there were 4 adults who stayed for 4 days, 3 nights, and since the cabin is so secluded it was bothersome to go to town for an item that is usually provided in other accommodations), and the dresser that I put my clean clothes in when we arrived wreaked with a strong bait smell that was very noticeable.Disappointed in our stay, had been wanting to visit riverwood for a long time now, and it sadly was not worth the wait.

We stayed in grand lodge. Its beautiful, quite, and close to the water. Our group had a great time. And will be staying again.

Our family came from all over for a small reunion just two weeks ago. Five of us stayed in the Grand Lodge while some stayed In a newer cabin & some rented a space for their motor home for the week.I think we were all expecting a much cleaner place than what this was (the grand lodge). Everything seemed to need cleaning except the bathrooms. The dust was so thick on the piece of art going upstairs I wrote my name on it, kitchen counters were sticky, BBQ grill had not been cleaned in quite some time from the appearance of it, fridge needed to be cleaned on the inside, sofa was propped up from the floor with pieces of wood both front and back. Jetted tub in the master bath was not in working order. We were there for 3 days and made 2 trips to the office only to find it closed as it was upon checking out also. We discussed making our reunion a yearly thing in the area. If we can manage to book some of the newer cabins we might consider giving this another try. Stanton & Stump

Most relaxing trip. Such a wonderful cabin. We stayed at the Sycamore cabin, very clean, comfortable bed, great fireplace, lovely deck to relax on, very quiet. Thank you Linda for such a comfortable stay. You will absolutely love all the cabins and what they have to offer, you will be so glad you stayed.

Loved our stay in the Walnut cabin. It was so spacious and very reasonable for pricing. Big plus the bed was extremely comfy. I travel a lot for work and this ranks better than any Marriott/Hilton location my work has put me - spanning from California to Chicago. Had to wait 2 months to for an opening but I definitely understand why!

Needed a weekend away in the middle of winter. This place is beautiful! The cottage is clean and cute and cozy. Perfect for snuggling up by the fire, and getting away and winter star gazing! I will definitely return.. would love to see what this place looks like in the spring and fall!

We have our Family Reunion there every year and rent out almost the entire place. Riverwood is a beautiful well maintained resort.

Loved this resort, stayed here for a wedding. Its close to the river for a float and there are a lot of cabin options so you could stay with friends or by yourself.

Another amazing year at Riverwood! I cant say how much I love this resort! We stayed in the Grand Lodge this year and loved being so close to the river. Except we had one slithery friend one morning, but he came out for a snack and went away! Beds are amazing. We booked our Float trip with NRO and they were amazing as well and that river has never disappointed me in all my 39 years!!! Kitchen was equipped with everything we needed. Also, found out if you need anything from a new deck grill to light bulbs changed, they will take care of any little issue for you to make your stay better!! The indoor pool was amazing! Super clean and very cold and refreshing on a day where the heat index was 110!! Loved the huge kitchen and all of the storage! Just booked again for next year as soon as we checked out!! Wish we could come more times a year. Would love to be here in the fall!

We stayed at the river lodge. Great cabin on the river. The cabin was immaculate and the beds were incredibly comfortable. I would highly recommend this location for a cabin getaway!

A wonderful spot- had everything we needed and checking in and out was convenient and staff very personal. Warning: the GPS may take you to the 5 larger cabins along the river. Signage is not great for the cabins, so dont come at night like we did. Caught trout in the river, was a beautiful river and the resort will help you add on experiences like canoeing.

Great location for a large group of families (we had 6). Plenty of outdoors space, great access to the pavillion for shared meal time, great gazebo to relax and hold conversation time and awesome spot right on the river.

We stayed in the grand lodge and i expected it to be clean. There were spider webs all over the windows and wasp nests (3) on the back deck. Multiple light bulbs burned out. The grill was so bad we couldnt use it and ended up buying a charcoal grill so wed could cook our. For as nice of a place as it could be, these little things added up...

This place is a hidden treasure! Beautiful cottages and so relaxing. Highly recommended!

Wonderful place to stay! We spent a weekend for our Anniversary in December. Cabins have everything you need. Ours had a gas fireplace and hot tub also. The satellite tv went in and out a lot one day. They do have dvd players, next time we plan to bring a couple movies. Cabins are very close to Bennett Spring State Park, which was a huge plus for us! Would definitely recommend!
