Great pool and very friendly staff. I do a kayaking class there, and the life guard were always alert.
Arguably the greatest YMCA in the country, Countryside has an enormous facility with a near endless offering of activities and lessons to participate in. Whether youre an elite athlete or someone looking for a community, this YMCA has it all.
The Lebanon YMCA has been working very hard to allow us access and also follow all the rules concerning Covid-19. We love this facility.
I love my water exercise classes
Went to the pool for the first time with my kids today, not knowing what to expect...the staff was friendly, respectful, clean, and it followed all the CDC guidlines....chairs 6 ft apart, lifeguards wore masks...we were happy and thankful to be there...thank you YMCA️
The pools are a family favorite! The staff are very kind and welcoming.
This place is big new extremely nice extremely clean and very well organized. It’s so large you could almost get lost in it which I almost did. I went here for a seminar in one of their meeting rooms and I couldn’t understand why they would put a seminar on at a YMCA but once you’re there you’ll understand. Like I said this place is super nice
Great pool and excellent locker room. I just wish it didnt seem like I need top secret clearance just to get in.
I recently joined this YMCA and couldnt be happier. Ive always felt a little anxious joining gyms because of the thought that people may judge me. Not here! The instructors and staff are so friendly and wonderful to talk to. We got an amazing tour from Anita and were blown away by the amount of activities for kids and adults. Our son is 3 years old and full of energy and its a great place to take him and let him go to child watch or bring him to the blocks room. He can play basketball or go swimming in the family pool. Cant wait to sign him up for some classes in the winter. A really great place for the whole family.
Childcare services: pros: they offer classes such as free swimming one day a week, gymnastics, Spanish, ballet, piano. They offer testing for hearing, and autism. The food for the kids is decent. Most teachers are nice. They teach Christian values. They provide updates to parents. They have fun activitiesover the holidays for families. Most reasonably priced daycare around. Cons:Several days my child screamed and cried because he didnt want to go. Some of the teachers are rough verbally. Some teachers yell too much. The bathrooms are gross for the kids. They lack patience. The swimming classes arent actually classes. My son still cant swim after going there for a year. My son was tested and we were told he might be on the spectrum but, its really too early to tell. But, he definitely has sensory issues. Especially, when it gets loud. We bought him noise cancelling head phones. Which were recommended by the specialist they provided. However, they dont let him wear them.
I go 2x. A week. Clean easily to navigate.. Something for everyone
Staff is very friendly love going to it they are doing a great job even in this very difficult time
We were there for a wedding rehearsal dinner in on of the public rooms. Lovely place, great staff. Thats all I know about it.But I would definitely recommend it for any party.
The beating heart of Lebanon. Swimming pools, gymnastics, fitness classes, climbing wall, indoor track, weight rooms, basketball courts, kids activities, childcare, summer camps, and more are just a few, visible ways this Y lifts up the surrounding community.
Would have been nice if you recognized greatness when it walks in your front door!
I have been going to the YMCA in lebanon for over 10 years on my parents family plan, and it is a great establishment. I recently turned 22 and had to get my own membership which I understand it was only a matter of time before I had to get off my familys plan. But, I am in the military and was very happy to see a discount for military members. When I called and asked they said I will receive 10% off my membership fee, unfortunately I worked all night from midnight to 8am so decided to sleep and go in at a later time to pay for the membership. Today I went in and did not receive a 10% discount when getting my membership because due to a lack of knowledge on the employee doing my paperwork. The offer is only for active duty military (title 10 personnel) which I am. I have one of the select few jobs in the national guard that is placed under title 10 orders and works full time instead of title 32 which is strictly national guard. So the individual did not recognize that I am active duty that works for the national guard. I understand it is very uncommon but I even tried to explain it and they still refused to give me the discount. I NEVER feel that a company is obligated to give a military discount, it is a privilege when one is offered. I take advantage of this privilege whenever it is offered because my bank account shows I am active duty as well LOL. I just hope that an individual on the staff is trained to recognize that an individual can be title 10 (active duty) in the national guard.
I wish the staff were engaging. No one offered me a tour. I wandered around with none of the staff b helping me. I approached the desk but I was just pointed to directions. They were busy but I could have been a thief.
Thankful for the indoor trick or treat however it was poorly organized. Took over two hours to walk through it. Could have been planmed better and made easier to get around.
Wow! What a great place no matter what your age. Everyone we encountered on the tour was friendly, helpful and kind. The amenities for senior adults are top notch.
Had free run of the place it was great tones of great indoor and outdoor facilities and activities
This review is for the daycare only - not the gym.My family switched our two children to the Y in the summer of 2018. We initially had a great experience there. The facility is expansive and allows for a wide range of enrichment classes such as swimming and gymnastics. The rooms are large and clean. The rates are reasonable.Your childs experience will vary greatly based upon the room they are in. There are some great rooms with great teachers, and some awful rooms with awful teachers. My son was initially in a fantastic room and loved going to daycare here. He was then forced to move up a room due to his age, despite him not hitting a number of developmental milestones before he should have been moved. One of those included being potty trained, which was mandatory for the new room, but he was nowhere near ready. We protested but were told he HAD to move rooms and that potty training would be no issue in the new room. What actually happened was him peeing and pooping his pants for the better part of the year with the teachers just getting frustrated with him over it. I remember once coming to pick him up only to find him in the bathroom alone and crying, naked from the waist down, covered in pee and poop. These events embarrassed and humiliated him, causing both emotional regression and behavioral issues. His teachers began to treat him with disdain and the cycle of bad behavior due to negative reinforcement set in. He was even physically abused by one of the teachers (this is not an accusation, it was documented and admitted to), which resulted in her dismissal but no effort was expended on their part to remediate the damage caused by what he was going through. They even fought us for months on switching him to a better room because it would interfere with their numbers.Eventually they implemented a behavior policy which mandated sending kids home for incidents such as if they ran away from teachers or disrupted nap time. So they started sending my son home once or twice a week which began causing attendance issues for my wife and I at work. My son figured out that if he misbehaved enough, he could get sent home (which is where he wanted to be). At that point there was no going back and he was dead set on doing everything he could to get sent home. This is an irrational policy that was likely put in place to help lighten the workload on already overwhelmed teachers to slow down turnover. We are now in the process of moving our son to another daycare and will eventually move our daughter out as well. This is very unfortunate because a lot of this would have probably been prevented with more sensible policies from administration. Advancing children to higher expectations before they are mentally/emotionally ready is counter-intuitive and sending children home when they misbehave will only incentivize that bad behavior. They are able to get away with these ridiculous initiatives because they have a wait list to get in. Other daycares would feel more inclined to work with parents more closely in order to retain their business. The Y demands good behavior or youre on your way out because they dont need your business.I cant express how disappointed we are in the decisions made by the administration as well as the performance of a select few teachers. They have created unnecessary problems in what could be an otherwise great daycare and negated the good, hard work performed by some of the outstanding teachers they do have.If your child has behavioral issues or isnt already right where they need to be developmentally, please consider a different daycare as the Y is not going to be able to work with you on improving the situation.
My daughter has been coming here to the homeschool choir and strings program for 5 years. Natasha Neal is one of a kind and I reccomend her hands down!!
Its the biggest and best YMCA Ive ever been to. They have multiple basketball courts one of the best swimming pools around indoor and outdoor. Also a tennis court a playground they offer many classes for kids. They have a daycare one of the best YMCA gyms too!
Went in for a tour. Tons to offer from swimming, racquetball, climbing, basketball, full gym, and much much much more. This would have been five stars, but they dont offer any discounts for Warren County residents. Only really want membership for swimming pool use, so not sure if this is going to fit the bill or not since LA Fitness is $50 less per month with a pool closer to my house. However Countryside YMCA has FIVE pools.
Awesome YMCA. So many pools. A lot of dumb rules though. But safety for the kids is understandable.
Great place for families, lots to do here! Largest YMCA in the country!!
One of the largest Ys in the state. Huge outdoor pool with promise of in closing it for winter use. And they have a few indoor pools as well. Clean workout facilities and locker rooms. They have great programs for those on a budget and are there to help.
It is probably the biggest Y I have been to. Very clean and well staffed
We were there for a birthday party. The staff was wonderful and very friendly.
One of the biggest YMCAs in the states. Pretty awesome for heavy workouts, or just staying active.
Huge complex with activities, pools, gyms, and tracks for all abilities and ages. Lap pool, senior pool, family pool, multiple outdoor pools! I was an out of town guest and a member from an Indiana YMCA- wish our facilities were as well appointed!
Great place, my family gets here often. My children and I visited the Y today. Had a great time, basketball, racket ball, pool, biking, hot tub and sauna.Get a few days off, might come back tomorrow.
The director Amy was very rude and disrespectful to my husband who is handicap.
Happy they are open again
If youre not a member should be the pools are amazing the workout rooms are amazing and they offer so many classes and the staff is amazing as well thank you
AMAZING PLACE!!! Makes our YMCA in Lancaster look like a shack. Very well maintained and staff is really dedicated.
Great facilities! However, you cant get internet reception in most parts of the YMCA, I guess because its built solid concrete block. There is allegedly wifi, but the speeds are so slow they are not usable. It wouldnt be a huge expense to upgrade, and its been this way for the three years we have been members. Its 2019, there really is no excuse for this.
Was very pleased with the facility in itself but very taken aback that I told several people working that it was my first time there, alluded to the fact I knew where nothing was and not a single person offered to assist me in acclimating myself to the place. It was a Thursday early afternoon. Have not been back because I was so overwhelmed. My husband and I have a corporate membership
I broke my leg on the playground and the staff laughed at me
It has so much to do! There is pretty much something for everyone!
The facility is huge, beautiful and has even more than you could think of. When touring and since weve joined the staff my daughters and I have been in contact with have been nice and welcoming. My 3 yr old enjoys the child watch when my 16 yr old and I work out or take a class.
Best YMCA in the country, hands down.
This location is unlike any YMCA youll ever go to. Its up to date, recently renovated, clean and HUGE! There is something for everyone here. Its definitely worth taking a tour if you are considering joining.
This is the largest YMCA in the country with 7 or 8 swimming pools and a great senior center with a warm water pool for adults over 50!
This YMCA is nice. It is very large, and great for a family. However, I was looking into it for myself and possibly my husband. I think the cost is a little high. And they have no Silver Sneakers program. I guess they dont want the older generation around. I am 58.
Great facility and great people, if you are looking for everything to work out this is the place.
They take good care of you
This place is the best for your whole family. Just the best. The staff is super friendly. Ill always have a membership.
Have a wonderful senior area with its own pool and sauna.
A phenomenal place with plenty of staff and activities for everyone. For the cafe, the church, a whole bunch of other places no membership is needed. You have to be a member or a guest to work out.
Biggest and best staff in the country.
Open when I need to go. Have everything one would need to exercise
This Y is huge with something going on for all ages . I go several times a week and walk on one of their 2 indoor tracks. The staff is very friendly and helpful. In addition to several indoor and outdoor pools, they have an indoor pool for the older generation - with a fireplace. My grand kids love going to the indoor pool, playing racket ball and going up the climbing wall. EXCELLENT RECENT RENOVATED FACILITY, I think the largest in the country. They also have child care so you can work out!
Fun time. Good for families.
Love it.great place for all ages. The employees work hard to help you anyway they can
Tons of programs and fun for the whole family
The Y is a wonderful place to hang out for the day. It is very family friendly with many activities to attend. The classes are wonderful. The only problem is the basketball courts. There are 6 courts at the Y, and all of them have games going on every single time. They need to reserve one court for shooting and doing drills only. Also, the court closest to the waterpark indoor is always made into a tennis court.
Theres a lot to offer! My kids love the place and always beg to go. The soccer candy league is great for my 4 year old. My wife loves the free workout classes offered nearly every day
Youve got to experience the Worlds second largest YMCA, and the biggest in the USA. Nine swimming pools in the Summer, w/ six open year-round, plus tons of other recreational equipment and activities to keep novice/experienced athletes engaged...
The Countryside YMCA is a great place for family fun. They are under renovation to provide the most up to date experience. My kids have so much fun from swimming to gymnastics. My teen enjoys the pre-teen/teen room where he can play games on the computer or video game consoles. My 5 year old loves the child watch so mommy can workout. The staff is very helpful and friendly!
Love it here. So much to do. So many great classes and great instructors. Great cafe with healthy food options. Beautiful facility and so family friendly!
A fantastic place to work out!!! They have everything here that one could think of to do when they want to work out. We always thoroughly enjoy ourselves when attending this facility. Absolutely love their outdoor swimming pool!!!
I did not like it here
Cheap rates for families. New renovation, great equipment. Locker rooms are loaded with lurkers and predators is why we cancelled membership
Great facility....polite staff...great place to be
Line this place, especially the Stolle Center for sure 50 and up. Big lockers, quiet, clean, locker room, choice of heated or cool pools, hot tub, sauna and steam room.
Love everything about this YMCA. Offers tons of activities for kids and adults. Great place to workout and lifts weights. Excellent fitness classes.
The biggest and best Y weve èver been to. Great classes, great trainers and instructors, great facilities.
Great facility, with tons of fitness classes for youth and adults. Their summer programming is a huge benefit to the community, as they offer lots of STEM education camps for kids. I love their cardio and strength center (weight room), the indoor running tracks, and the nearby bike trail, which links up to the larger little miami trail network. They also offer various scholarships and payment plans for month-to-month membership and for families.
Very high for a membership .
Huge facility~! they have outdoor swimming pool and its pretty awesome!
This YMCA is huge! I competed in Mud-o-ween 2017 and it went very well. Lots of volunteers encouraging everybody throughout. It was great!
The new renovation is awesome. I wish the locker rooms would be updated but still a great facility.
My kids love the rock climbing and indoor pool in the winter.
Very nice place to exercise and play. Great place for kids.
Great facility with LOTS of variety. I have been a member of several gyms in the past (LA Fitness, Life Time Fitness, Cardinal Fitness, etc.) I even worked at a gym in college. My degree is in PE and Health...so I know a thing or two about fitness centers...and YMCA Countryside is a MUST. They offers everything every other fitness center offers, plus some and at a very reasonable price. This building itself does show its age a little (discolored ceiling times, flooring, etc.) - but Im going there to work out, not interior decorate the place :) The machines are all up to date within in the last 5 years, but I also have never once witnessed an out of order machine, which tells me they try their best to keep their equipment in good shape. Currently they are under construction and renovation, so it may not be perfect at the moment, but they are working on it. They offer an incredible amount of classes (most free - including Zumba!) and they recently added a Cross Fit program (havent tried it yet). Most importantly, the staff is absolutely wonderful, which makes it a very comfortable environment for those who are new to working out. I highly suggest Countryside whether you are a young 20-something like me, a gym rat, or a family of four. This is the place you want to take your active lifestyle :)
Excellent. Actually incomparable. Top notch!
I got denied bathroom for 4 hours at camp. The consular kept saying You need to go with an adult buddie.
Great facility, great trainers and classes but horrible staff in the rest of the building. We canceled our membership after 4 years because we just had a our first and our car died unexpectedly. The money has to be scraped from somewhere, staff was EXTREMELY condescending when I went in to cancel did not ask any questions even though I check the financial burden box, very cold to our circumstances over the phone. I wish there was a better option in Lebanon. Terrible customer service
Great place doing good work in the community. Nice facilities and good staff. Recommended.
Decent facility since the construction has finished but its only been a few months and the new construction areas are already looking run down like the rest of the building. Im tired of putting my money into a facility that they refuse to properly maintain. The only reason we keep our membership is because of the outside pool which is becoming so run down that we dont even want to go there either. The concrete is chipping away at the bottom of the pool and we cut our feet every time we go swimming and our feet bleed plus its almost impossible to find a chair that isnt broken. This could be a great place if they would get a real maintenance staff and replace the rude people who work in their office and front desks.
Nice place! We looked at event space to rent
Very impressed! Nicest Y Ive ever been to! Childcare center is amazing!
I use the cardio and strength center more than any of the other options at Countryside. I will say that its a great place to get and stay in shape. They have plenty of cardio machines, free weights, dead lifting, squat racks, Smith Machine and so much more. It can get a little crowded, but its never that bad. The rest of the YMCA is great too.
Wonderful place has everything you would ever need staff is wonderful
Has been one of the best YMCA facilities for a long time. The recently added updates only help make it better!
Our family loves the Y. Only complaint is: Squat racks and benches(freeweight and barbell) are always full! Plenty of cardio and weight machines. Love all the different classes, programs and facility.
Air Force Special Operations testing conducted at Countryside. Extremely friendly and accommodating staff!
My daughters camp counselor took her into the boys bathroom and spanked me until she cried. I am still not sure if she is telling the whole story. I hope this YMCA gets shut down. I am very disappointed and plan to fire a lawsuit.
Everything you could want from a YMCA. More exercise options than you can shake a stick at. Five indoor pools. Great staff great facility highly recommended
Great place for so many reasons.
Cleanest YMCA pool deck . They bleach it and rinse with pressurewash
Nice YMCA, with both indoors options and outdoors options.
This YMCA has been a Godsend for my family. It has helped me with my health tremendously, and there are so many fun things for my children to do to keep them both healthy and entertained.
Wonderful community spirit, excellent place top bring, raise, and be around family.
This location is huge! The staff friendliness is hit or miss. The pools are great and theres an indoor track, courts, weight room, etc.
Visited for an event, its a great place
