Love this course. High priced but worth it especially if you can get a deal. Course is in great shape. Only reason for a 4 is the pace of play today was very slow. Way over booked. Took over 5 hours to play. There was a ranger on the course but he did nothing to speed up the play. Also drinks are very expensive.
Great course! Its been years since I was here last but despite the recent heavy rain, the course was in great shape. Greens were fast. Beautiful views. Well worth the money.
Excellent golf course. Not to much trouble off the fairways, but enough to make the course fair and challenging. Some of the fairways were spotty, but other than that course is in great shape. Greens were soft, but rolling really well. Course was really empty on a Saturday morning/afternoon. A must play track.
Love Iron Valley!!!! Greens hold and putt true. Played the back tees. Tough and not for the faint of heart. Totally worth the drive. The view on number one green and number 2 tee is incredible. The only bad thing to me is that the beverage girl didnt circle around enough. Only saw her 2 times on the front and zero on the back.
Nice layout but many tee boxes and fairways were in pretty bad shape. Definitely not worth the $79 they charge on the weekend, there are many other options in this price range where conditions won’t be as bad as they are here. It was my first round at this course and I was very disappointed. I doubt that I’d make the 1 1/2hour drive to play here again.
Spectacular views, course in great shape, pace could have been managed more efficiently. Overall great course and will return
Overall I liked the course. Its pretty expensive for the level of maintenance we experienced. There were some sparse fairways, but all greens were great. Its a fairly difficult layout on a huge footprint. Would be very tough to walk this course in my opinion. Lots of OB on the course which is a challenge, water and marsh lands. I will come back again if I can get a deal, but wouldnt pay full weekend price to golf this course.
This a very nice layout. Unfortunately some of their fairways are in disrepair. Service and food is above average. I play here a few times each year. The golf staff is very helpful and courteous.
Was a great experience- golf course needs just a good over the winter touch up, enjoyed the entire round
Its a tough course with great views. I found myself hitting a hybrid into most par 4s and Im 240 of the tee. The course conditions were good, not great.
Have always enjoyed this course but had bad experience 2 weeks ago on a Sunday. Tee time 11am. Expected some slow play but after 4 1/4 hours and 12 holes played, we packed it in. No ranger on course to keep pace of play moving. For the rates, you shouldnt expect a potential 6 hour round. Staff really didnt show much concern except a sorry. Email experience to course and didnt even receive a response. Sorry Iron Valley, well take our business elsewhere
Very nice and challenging course. Loved the fall foliage.
A must play course and best in the area. Elevations changes and contours in quick by true greens make this a challenging but fair test of your game.Great views as well.
The course was nice. But when it takes you 5.5 hrs to complete a round it tells me that The course management is an issue.. We informed the clubhouse of the back log after 9 and we didn’t see at ranger until the 15th hole. When you are busy a ranger needs and should keep the pace of play moving at a 4 hr pace. We were stacked up 4 groups deep on the 10th hole. I’ll never go back.
Great course, scenic holes and reasonable prices. Wasnt crowded, got 9 holes in 1.5 hours. Love coming for a quick 9 after work.
Nice course, great greens, beautiful views. Poorly managed, took forever, 4x foursomes waiting at the turn. Beer selection sub par.
I believe its one of the most challenging, senic and diverse courses in our area.
Nice setting. Front nine more open. Back nine more in the woods with fun topography.
Love the course, great layout, incredible views. A must play!
Super nice place. It always a 5 star for me but the front 9 had some rough fareways
I REALLY enjoy this golf course, however today, the greens were so hard that approach shots were bouncing over the greens. Some greens were fast others were slow. Always a Fun experience and normally one of the nicest golf courses in central PA
This is a great golf course. Short but difficult. Hit from the back & try 2 break 90 dare u.
Great Pete Dye course. A must play.
Golf course was in excellent shapeIt was a pleasure to see all the sights and layout of holes in the countryside. Will definitely be back!
Absolutely loved our dinner tonight. Thanks Chef Jeff and Jenna. Well see you again soon
Always a good test of golf on a fun course.
Went for a pre bachelor party. Had a blast! Really fun course to play! Shot an 88, greens were really fast but the layout is beautiful and challenging. Go to the clubhouse and get the burger with jalapenos and a beer. Life is good....
Great holes and great views!!! Very nice golf course!!!
Course was in good shape.alittle busy at the turn..but moved after awhile
Was here for a charity event, what a great time and course. The course itself is scenic and beautiful from just about every hole. The service was fantastic and the event was well run. This is 5 stars, even though it was RAINING almost the whole event. GREAT place.
Course is in great shape! Fun day! Friendly staff!
Iron Valley Golf Club offers one of the most comprehensive tests of your golf abilities in Central PA. The course is demanding but extremely enjoyable. The grounds crew should take tremendous pride on their work - the course looks great!
Great challenge. Difficult and different. Take your time to figure out the holes. You will play it completely different the second time. All but a hidden gem. Not cheap.
The food couldve been better the stuffed chicken breast was over cooked and the second time around, to correct the over cooked problem the chicken breast was undercooked I give the food a big fat F they failed miserably.I hope that if our company has another banquet with the guys they get it together .
Always enjoy the rounds at Iron Valley! Great course!
Course is not in very good shape...very disappointing
Very nice course with challenging greens.
1st time there. What a great course. Challenging. Great greens and superior views Im the fall.
Great challenging course. A bit pricey in comparison, especially the food. Pro staff was very rude and yelled angrily at my group and the other groups who were on the course who did not return prompt enough per his expectations. Never seen this before at a golf course. Wont return again.
Nice greens but most bunkers were unplayable.
$4.00, yes $4.00 U.S. currency for a Kit Kat candy bar. I thought scalping was illegal??????
Great course and views!
Quick Martini and beer after 4th grade vocab parade
Great, hard course in very good shape compared to most courses Ive played this summer.
Great public course. Challenging and in a great setting. Challenging but fun.
Absolutely amazing. Probably the best course is the area. Super challenging and lots of fun. There is nothing repeated on this course and the veiws are incredible. You might spend more time looking at the views. The carts are out dated but besides that its great. We got burgers on the turn and it was worth every penny. I am blown away by this course and would recommend.
This course is always in great condition! Its built on an old iron mining property. It has a great layout with the front nine being flatter and more open than the back nine which is hilly. The whole course asthetics reflect the original use of the property of the mining operation. The course is very challenging and they offer great rates. Great value and fun course to play!
Went there to go to the Miners Pub. It was delicious. The french fries were exceptional. The Pittsburgh steak salad was awesome and the pizza was pretty good. Overall a great place to eat.
Awesome golf course
This was my first time playing this course. What a gem ...Its beautiful and in great condition. Rain started on the 7th hole. Even though it was raining the course and greens were good. Service at the turn was a bit slow. I’ve been lucky enough to play all over the US at some awesome courses. This is one of the most scenic courses I’ve ever played . However all that was lost on the 13th hole. It continued to rain after the turn and the starter requested we finish the 13th hole and stop playing. He ask us to wait 30 minutes and check with the club house. We pulled up to the 14th hole and was going to sit here and check with the club house in 30 minutes as instructed. We were a group of 4 and no one had a club pulled we were just talking. At this point the assistant pro pulled up and ask what part we didn’t understand we were to return to the clubhouse. While we were trying to tell him what we understood from the starter he continued to make rude comments and talk to us like a naughty child. I have never been treated so rudely! He made assumptions without giving us any consideration or courtesy and certainly didn’t want to hear anything we had to say. We value a well maintained golf course and we take care of the courses we play. I respect the fact that play was stopped. It would have been nice if he respected his customers the same. It’s sad because I planned on adding this beautiful course to our schedule however the assistant pro’s rudeness has changed my mind. I will not recommend nor spend my money to be treated so rudely. There’s too many other places that value my business.
Excellent Course! A must in Central PA
Course was in descent shape and the staff were pleasant
Beautiful and challenging course designed by Pete Dye. His clever traps and risk vs reward profile of the course make it a genuine pleasure to play. Absolutely love it.
Course in good condition. All 18 holes spread out. No back and forth.
Challenging course but very scenic. Rolling hills and lots of elevation changes. Beautiful. Great golf
Great course! Definily challenging for a beginner like me but fully enjoyed my round!
Great course, love the layout, great condition, greens run true
Bring plenty of balls if its your first time. You will leave asking yourself what the heck just happened, even you low handicappers. Hard but fair. Food is great too. Been playing it for years.
Iron Valley Golf Club is home to a well-rated and always popular golf course. This links-style and parkland layout should not disappoint, with many attractive features and several excellent holes to enjoy. Plenty of golfing challenge, one to include on your play list if you are in the area.
Excellent golf course. Challenging layout, elevation changes & hazards. Fairways & greens are well maintained. Miners Club bar/restaurant Has 10 beers on draft and a better then average menu.
I was early and I was hungry so I stopped in to the pub. I had the best, stuffed quesadillas Ive ever had. My son got the biggest, fattest wings that I seen in awhile. Both were excellent. I have seen better greens and fairways this year but still outstanding. Staff was very friendly, even though our group was not the fastest, and very helpful. I will definitely go there again.
Hands down, the best public course in the area.
Friendly and well-organized. Doesnt hurt that the greens are in pristine condition.
Course is in great shape highly recommend.
My new favorite course, worth the drive and price
Came into eat with my family, service was amazing! Food was delicious!
Good times snow tubing
Golf course and clubhouse is awesome for the cost. Pro shop staff very friendly. Difficulty of the course is above average. Bring a dozen balls if your average is over 90
The staff is wonderful and very helpful, and the energy of the place is really appealing. The scenery is just breath taking on top of it. I would very much recommend this place to everyone.
Course is well kept. Layout is beautiful and difficult. Food is delicious.
Course was absolutely beautiful and fun to play!
Great track. Well maintained. Not happy playing wirh water sprinklers on the first 3 holes. Nice staff.
This is definitely a hidden gem! Got there early, only a few people waiting. Not busy, staff was great. Standing on the first green the view was freeking beautiful. Every hole I played was awesome.
One of my favorite courses. Every hole has a personality of its own. All of which fairly test youre shot making abilityA most enjoyable course to play.
Course was challenging but very playable. I would definately make drive (from Baltimore) to play agaiin.
This is the nicest course around here. Its also very hard!! Bring lots of balls your gonna need them
Nice golf course, good elevations, the course is not all flat and back and forth, friendly staff
Great Food!!!- Awesome views of the golf course! Staff is friendly!
Great views and a perfect challenge!
Course (greens, fairways, roughs) is in excellent condition. Great experience!
Absolutely loved it! We love tubing & this has quickly become one of our favorite places to go.
Great course, great weather, not so great golf. Tomorrows another day
Some of the best public golf youll find.
Really nice course. Very challenging. Reasonable prices. Highly recommended.
Always have good food here with a nice view. If the weather is nice, sit out on the patio.
Great layout, a lot of hidden shots for time visitors. Greens near perfect. Felt like I was at Myrtle Beach for 9 holes then the Piconos for 9 holes.
Love the course lay out. Little more elevation change and id need a sherpa
Tough course. In great shape
Great course!! Great shape!
Wife and I went for dinner. One of the local residents yelled into our car window that we were on a private road. How are we on a private road when going to a public restaurant and golf course? We wont be back and did not appreciate being screamed at by the old guy walking his dog.
Great time as always!
Tough course many elevation changes in nice condition
