I visited this museum today and was greeted by some very nice people. The museum had all sorts of different artifacts, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. My personal favorite was a little hallway with antiques from the Underground Railroad time period. You walk into a dark hallway with what looked like lightning bugs on the ceiling and hear crickets, as you begin to walk down the hallway a light clicks on and then you can read more about what you’re looking at. The museum is large which makes the $10 entry fee worth it. There were a lot of great things to see but the, “True-some Gruesome” facts they have posted throughout are what stands out so well. If you’re not too into reading at least read those. I definitely recommend checking this place out.
My kids learned a lot from the various exhibits. The Underground Railroad exhibit was very well made & the exhibit depicting the Womens Suffrage movement was descriptive.
Great snapshot display of local Midwestern History!

How have I lived in Lebanon for 12 years and waited this long to go into this museum?! This place is amazing and so rich in history! Its easily one of Lebanons best kept secrets. Cute and modest on the outside but it opens into a gorgeous, multi-floor, award-winning doorway to history. Want to time travel? This is the place. Dont miss their nationally recognized Underground Railroad exhibit. Theyve even got a little American Girl section in their gift shop! I wish I had known that years ago when my daughters were younger. Love this place!
Great place to go for history lovers! There is an underground railroad exhibit, a colonial lifestyle exhibit, and the mock town is very cool to see. Be warned: they are stickers about the rules! My wife was tired of waiting for me to come out and asked if she could retrieve me. The front desk told her that she would have to pay the admition price! Haha. The museum has enough info to entertain an avid reader for hours! Worth it!
After considering multiple options for volunteer work, I accepted a Board position at the Warren County (Ohio) Historical Society, whose history center has long been a welcoming civic anchor in historic Downtown Lebanon. Why did I choose to support the WCHS? Because Ive confirmed It serves as a role model of an organization that fulfills its mission, on a limited budget, with many, many volunteers in professional and award winning ways.More than a club for those interested in history, that has a trio historic buildings and thousands of artifacts, the WCHS is a cultural treasure and center where people gather for unique lunch & Learn opportunities, antique and quilt shows, live musical performances; dramatic theater presentations, art exhibits, and civic gatherings. Im proud to support the Warren County Historical Society!
Fun and informative center in a historic location itself.
First time I walk in the door I knew I was in history geek Dom . What a place to see and use for research of one county.
