This is a lovely park that spreads over a vast piece of land and is clean, green, and inspirational. It has long trails, well kept grass, a rest room, a bbq shed, some amenities for kids, a pier, sport fields, and several bodies of water. People sail, fish, run, hike, exercise, and just have a good time in this beautiful scenery. Walk there in the evening and you will catch a romantic sunset above the creek.

Beautiful park with so many amenities. Barbeque Shed with pavilion of tables with benches, trash cans, basin washing sink, clean men/women bathrooms, electrical outlets, walking paths, tennis courts, free WiFi, lots of trees and access to water with boat ramp. Well lit and patrolled by local police force. I have spent many hours on bit sunny and rainy days at this park enjoying watching individuals and families enjoying outdoor life and activities. Lastly lost of dog walkers, walkers and runners frequent this very spacious Galveston County Park off Hwy 3 close to FM 518. Check it out, you will love it!️️

Walter Hall is an amazing park! My husband and I have gone here all the time over the years to play Pokémon Go mainly but I love being able to walk outside and enjoy the area. Plenty of space and fun.

I only give it 4 stars because its mostly concrete. That being said, I come here to skate because of that. And its a good park if you just want to drive around if youre bored; I see a lot of people doing that. It has a boat ramp to access Clear Creek and small boardwalks you could fish from. Its a good spot to see birds.

This is a lovely clean park, the bathrooms are clean and the park is well maintained. Soccer fields, playground, tennis courts, a nice long sidewalk goes all the way around and the pier and boat launch are nice and busy on weekends. People are doing a better job of keeping their dogs leashed and picked up after.

Went here for a republican convention and it was a fantastic location. Great views, great entertainment and the food trucks were amazing. Would love to return and try a little fishing if possible

Valero Rec Club had a shrimp boil here. We enjoyed the well kept park. The kids loved the play area.

We come here a lot to stretch our legs a little, may need to get a fishing rod to really enjoy it though!

Love that there are a couple of play areas that accommodate different age groups, volleyball area too. Also being near the water is a plus

Walter Hall is always a pleasant park. Be aware of lots of Pokémon go players in cars and on foot. Lots of playground equipment spread across park and a path that weaves around the whole place. Public Boat access and restrooms that are usually open (bring your own soap...)

Great place for Pokémon! And to let the little ones run around, careful by the water, had reports of snakes and alligators.

This is an amazing park. Absolutely huge fields, numerous playgrounds and gazebos, benches and branching trails, tons of different informational plaques and sites, a lake with a boat launch in the back, dozens of Pokestops and 6 or 7 gyms, all along a very large, looping road that players slowly drive to fill their inventories and try to catch shiny pokemon. Perhaps the best pokemon go spot in the entire county!!

Really nice. Lots of playground areas and boat ramp as well as docs and nature trails.

Love this park...great area and location and place I take my dog Dutches for walks as well as to relax and fly my drone.

Lifesaver during quarantine! I go here 3-4x a week to walk or jog and its typically a pretty tranquil experience. Would suggest for anyone who enjoys jogging on a street over a trail.

Nice park with a lot of field for sports and exercise. Always seeing people jogging or with family at the playgrounds. I mainly go for the fishing spots. Theres ramp access for boats and the nice lake to walk by or fish.

This is the BEST park. Something for everyone here and a building for events. I love this park.

We have enjoyed walking in Walter Hall Park in the mornings. Its a beautiful park with good sidewalks and lots of space.However, some of the signage was damaged or missing, and it seemed like the park would benefit from some security cameras or patrols to reduce vandalism and lurking. There always seem to be people sitting in cars in remote locations around the park, and this strikes me as suspicious, so I dont feel comfortable walking past them.

Nice Park, only if we could keep people from parking cars in the trailer parking area. Pier at boat ramp missing planks, so be careful walking on the pier.

Super fun place. Lots of pokestops. Gets really busy on weekends but nice and big either way.

Great Park for walks and kids games, beautiful views and well maintained.My biggest issue is the bathrooms are almost never maintain you will always find live and dead insects and no soap.And during Covid 19 and social distancing the bathrooms are closed from 2PM which is not very practical with small children.

We had the Habitat for humanity 5k there. Nice park, perfect weather, safe and scenic.

They have a new jungle gym with a rubber (recycled tires?) ground and it is really nice. One of my favorites around to take my kiddo. Would be nice if they had a few benches around it but there is a pavillion right next to it so that works pretty well. All and all a great park.

The park was beautiful, brought our Friday Donut Day snacks and ate on one of the piers over looking the water as we watched the local birds fishing for their mid morning snack....enjoyed a beautiful breeze as we meandered down the walking trails.....

If you play Pokemon go, this is where you want to be. Plenty of stops and gyms can be reached from the car. Majority of the gyms are ex raid gyms (6!) too. Highly recommend! Come out on community day to catch Pokemons and make friends

Large park great for running. Has pond but no ducks. Has bayou front similar in appearance to a river. Has outdoor playground and lots of land for sports and kite flying. The park has a boat ramp and I have seen people fish here before.

This is is definitely a family park ; where you can bond with nature. This park has lots of area to run or to do whatever. One point id like to point out when you bring your animals clean up after them . There is a leash law and sometimes I see pets restricted on leash, however in most cases dogs are free to run about. Think about putting in a pets only enclosure.

Great park if you wanna play Pokemon Go drive and spin Plus nice park beside that you can walk your dog, jog, fishing, go jet skiing and workout. As I see it you should check it out. Hopefully it doesn’t ever get overcrowding.

Went Pokemon hunting lol also found a ton of geocache spring and fall for geocache and summer winter for Pokemon shoot I did very well there

There is something for everyone at this Galveston County Park. From fishing and boating to picnics and playgrounds it has it all.

I dont have much time that I moved to this place and I love coming to this park because it has enough space for my two dogs, a Saint Bernard and a German Shepherd. In addition it is very close to my apartment, I work from home and sometimes I take advantage of that closeness to come to sit and rest from my own routine while I look at people with their pets. It really is a place where I can relax. It is very relaxing to be in an environment full of trees in the middle of the city, the truth is that it helps you to think a little more clearly, and you breathe cleaner air than when you are in the streets between cars. Nice open space with a public boat ramp. Not a well kept dock and the water was low when we went, but it got us out to the better areas of the water we wanted to go to, so it served its purpose!

It was a nice day outside. But I cannot figure out if Im fishing for reds or if Im fishing for bass.

As nice and spacious as this park is. It really needs a redesign BAD!!! The only thing that has been upgraded is the play area for the kids besides that the restrooms are filthy. Theres never any soap, the play is really outdated since 2013 and the maps need to be remade because theyre wiped away..or torn up..

This park has some beautiful play grounds, a tennis court, restrooms, picnic tables and a nice sort of bayou.

We take our young lady here to fly our kites in great open fields. After that, nab Poké Mon on the way to the fish park.Fish playground and the far south playground are in serious need of cleaning and repairs. Isnt there a few dollars in the budget for that?

The park is well kept and always a great place for the kids and community in general. There are a few teenagers trying to use the park for things that kids shouldnt be seeing and are more fitting to be in a private room, but you cant control everyone. Also a great place for Pokemon Go if youre one who does such things.

Home away from home.FYI: try not to use 2 restrooms by both playgrounds. They are absolutely filthy, bugs crawling out from them, flooded almost everyday, never ever seen them get cleaned or maintained. Groundskeeper takes out trash thats it. Ive been coming to park almost everyday for past 3 years. Same issue and city dont really care to clean them up. Instead they just added portable toilet for cops to use. Only restroom thats clean and local PD make sure it stays clean.Hope city fix this major health hazard ASAP.

Best Pokemon go location. If you play . You must check it out... Amazing walking trail, fishing, tennis, volley... lots of green and seats for those who need rest in between.... Bring your walking shoes. Can drive the whole way too.... Lots of fun with kids and pets alike.

Great spacious park off of Highway 3. Well kept and very clean. Good for kids, jogging, picnics.Very good walking / jogging loop. Plenty of space and playground areas for children. They have a boat ramp and boat trailer parking for watercraft and boating. There are soccer, tennis, beach volleyball, and baseball fields.Check online, they also have quite a few community events hosted there.

Grew up, with my dada and his wreckers work together we usually go festivals n cook offs in past!!! Our daddies took us when we were kids we loved festivals cook off it such FUN ACTIVITIES!!!We went there last March 7th to Honored my 2nd daddy RIP and memory service on our owns with creamted ashes.. he used to take us there all times thats ourrrrrrr place!!! Lol.. loved that park its good for everyone enjoy separated pinic areas n parks.. really nice loved that Walter Hall Park!!!!

Liked this park! It has a tennis court a couple of playground areas and access to the water. We were at this park for a company party and we used the covered pavilions and their building as well. It was a good place to have our large group event, in my opinion. Would definitely go back in the future. This park wasnt hard to find but we used gps to help as well.

Every month they have a lure coursing and fast cat event open to all dog breeds. theres also a ton of pokestops around the whole park.

I love that its big, lots of parking and there is a toddler area.

Such a beautiful park, we love bringing my little ones here to enjoy some playtime. There are two separate kid-grounds and pavilions to utilize. Not to mention the fantastic water amenities.

I love this Park. Pokemon players this is the place to go. I took my daughter driving there. Its nice since it has a lot of parking space to practice driving.

My husband and I had fun playing frisbee on the nice level field. Weve enjoyed the many features of this park for years.

There is a load of open space here for sports or events, the park is huge and has lots of amenities for the family. The is ample parking for vehicles with boat trailers, and a public boat launch. Also a jumping in point for the paddle trail. To the right of the boat launch is a very nice fishing dock as well.
