Went and seen Rocky Horror shadow cast performance. It was great. Great cast, atmosphere, and an all around fun time. Definitely will go see it again.

Man that runs the vaska is a mad genius and Im not just saying that.... he took a dying theater in the days where major corporations reign supreme and remade a Lawton classic into an amazing landmark that will last a very very long time ...and the prices are absolutely un beatable its definitely a Lawton treasure if your looking for a place to really love and feel like your loved back for it the Vaska is definitely the place for you !

We have been going here for well over 30 years. This theater has been part of Lawton history since my mom lived across the street. Truly cant wait to go to the drive In that they have been working so hard on.

I have been going here since I was a little girl and they never disappoint us, sometimes the women’s bathroom is a little dirty, other then that the prices are amazing and employees are super nice I totally recommend going here

Quaint and affordable, a historic part part of Lawton and a fun night out for the whole family, even on a tight budget. Even the snacks and drinks are very affordable, especially compared to bigger theatres. We always enjoy going and highly recommend it!

I like the culture and fun events they bring to this small town, however [redacted incorrect criticisms]. Their rocky horror events are great but it could do with a team training in professionalism and customer service.Edit: I’m updating this the owners just contacted me and honestly my views on it have changed drastically I have seen the Rocky horror show here many times and it is a very good experience one that I would recommend for any person so I apologize for the harshness of my original review and my original two star review.

Im so glad the Vaska was able to stay open and show movies that my family enjoys. The seats were comfortable, and the movie viewing was flawless. We will return!

Wow. This is an awesome place. Super cheap too, my wife and I watched Aquaman for 2 dollars each. It would have been 3 but they give military discount. Super clean place. The floor isnt even sticky, lol. To top it all off, it had a real hometown feel.

Love this little theater. It is a great space to take young kids. Concessions are inexpensive. Tickets are cheap and the digital projector quality is top notch. The seats are dated but that adds to the experience.

I was a great supporter of this theatre all my life. If they are doing things different, I wonder why they would not do a special show for the Natives. Will gladly take my business elsewhere.

Historic place frozen in time. We walked in and the attendant was very friendly. $15 date deal includes 2 tickets, 2 candy, 1 lg popcorn, 1 lg drink, with one free refill. They played older style music while the screen remained black where ads would be. The theatre is huuge, super dark with very dim light fixtures lining the walls, and feels like a very old movie theatre. The seats are broken in from decades of use and some seats are missing. This place seems like the owners try their best to take care of the place.They also have an outdoor drive in screen on the side of the building, which is neat.Overall, the place is not very well lit, which gives the theatre a sort of gloomy feel to it. Like sitting next to your sick dog that you are about to put down, this place has many memories for me.

It was clean, the Bohemian Rhapsody movie was awesome! The popcorn is still the best in town.

Me and my kids favorite place to go see a movie! The staff is very friendly and its incredibly affordable. Me and my 4 kids saw a movie, got a large popcorn, two large drinks and 3 things of candy all for only $30. Cant beat that!

A core staple of Lawton, the Vaska Theater has certainly seen better times. Its currently run by a small family who owns it, and regularly shows slightly older films at a huge discount. Theyre always friendly and they sell homemade caramel-coated popcorn among the other concession items. The downside is that its a very old building and the business doesnt make a whole lot of profit, so the furniture is aged and not always in the most charming way.Overall, its a great place to go see a movie that you missed at the regular theaters, and you can hardly say you visited Lawton if you never went to the Vaska.

I love it since the new owners took over. Its Ok it cleaner. Its nicer looking. And the events they hold are just amazing.

Ive had some of the most fantastic, memorable moments at the Vaska, and I will keep going there for as long as I can. :)

Way cheaper than the other theaters and not crowded. I cant go to other theaters any more when I know how much more bang for my buck I can get. Cool memorabilia.

This theatre is a hidden gem, I feel like no one knows about this place. Cheap movies and its an old fashioned building. They show all sorts of movies. Went to see the old black and white night of the living dead.

We attended the drive in movie night featuring the original Jurassic park. The staff was great, the crowd was great. It was a fun experience and we all had a ton of fun. We will definitely be back. They had a blow up t-rex driving and walking around during the t-rex scenes.

I love the atmosphere here. Ive moved away now for six or seven years, but when I lived here I was a single mother getting out of the military at Fort Sill, Oklahoma. It was a place that I could afford to take my two kids weekly without experiencing a problem with my budget, and that included snacks. The place was clean and the staff was friendly and welcoming. I will actually make a trip down there from Houston just to visit the theatre and watch a movie for old times sake. I totally recommend it.

My fiancé and I brought our 3 children to watch the shadow cast of CLUE. We all loved it! Our children were mesmerized. The popcorn is always delicious and my favorite thing is caramel popcorn. We love Vaska.

The owner has definitely changed the movie goers experience! You can go and see movies in a normal fashion, or you can go to the shadow cast specials and be amazed!!

I love going to the movies and here you can watch the movie on the big screen for $2 or $3. It is a great price and It makes it so we can go to the movies more often. For my family of 4 it is about $10 for the movie! we love it!

I like the atmosphere but HATE the seats!!!! My jeans got snagged on the seat I sat in and really upset me because I just paid $60 for them, so Im not really happy with that. Staff was friendly and the movie was great!!

Our family went to The Night Of The Living Dead showing, we all dressed as zombies! Not only did we get in free for participating, we won prizes!! It was so much fun! Even our 7yr old Xbox junkie had a great time, and that is hard to do!! Thank You Vaska Theatre!!!!!

Its an old theater but the chairs are pretty comfy still and the concessions taste good. The main draw is how inexpensive it is and for what the Vaska provides, there isnt much competition.
