Fun pool with lots of things to do for every age group. High dive, high slide, long water slide, a small kid area, lap swimming area to just name a few. It is conveniently located in the center of the town and relatively easy to get to from anywhere.

Used to be a great place to go. My kids didnt like going anymore because their lockers would get broken into. They dont control the unruly kids. Kids poop in the pool all the time. Its not an uptown date faculty. It needs to be expanded.

Took my kids here a couple time this summer. The staff is friendly and the life guards do a good job. Im happy to have this pool close by.

My first time here, the price was okay, $5 for adults $4 for children teenage and younger. The pool area is massive! Lots of things to do, lots of people to see and many different things to try. Excellent pool.

Lots of affordable family fun! Slides, high dive, wade-in toddler pool, shaded tables, concession stand, party room and accessible changing rooms.

This is a great little place to go swimming. There is a slide and a diving board, a few swimming lanes, and a reasonably large area for young children. The sidewalk can get extremely hot, even if you have calluses, so wear sandals or swim shoes if you can. Best of all its very inexpensive. Look for deals, as certain days and times can be as cheap as $1.

My granddaughters love this place. Dressing/shower area doesnt afford much privacy but clean and friendly.

It was a great experience, but people keep stealing things from other peoples bags. I myself got mugged when someone got into my bag and stole $14.

The pool is a ripe off. The price use to be 1.75 to get in and 3 and under were free. That was when the pool had two slides next to each other. Then they took a slide away and the price went up again to 3.00. Now the price is 5.00 and u pay for 3 and up. No new attractions. They dont offer free water and the concession stands are way to expensive. They are closing Aug. 18th this year two weeks earlier than usual and stopped handing out as much free passes to non profits to help under privileged kids. The city made a fourtune this year and its not fairSomething new needs to be added this next year or I see a protest happening along with a lot of bad advertising to keep people away.

Lovely little zero depth swim areafor littles. great swim nights at the first of the month. enough bathroom space for lots of people.

Nice faculty. Mostly friendly staff. It gets busy and space becomes an issue as well as finding a free chair. Concession available with a good variety of drinks and snacks.

The facility is open and well maintained. The playground is new and the staff was quite friendly. Parking is on street or nearb in lot. Pool water is clear and even though not a lot of slides, a great place to cool off near downtown shops.

Facilities are well maintained. Lots of options for both sun and shade. Lots of de deck space and large pools. Great for lap swimming with set times just for laps. Hate to see it close for the season.

Ive been here twice and really enjoy it. The pricing is fair and there are shady places to relax while youre not swimming. Theres a great section for little kids as well as diving boards and slides in the other sections. The snack bar prices are fair. Im sure well be here a lot this summer.

Only 3 stars because my friens and I needed to leave for just a bit and we were coming right back. We were told wed have to pay again.

Great place to entertain the kids for the summer!

I liked this place because my children had a lot of fun there. I also got to sit there in one of the lounging chairs, and watch my children. I did not do five stars because one day when I went there, they said you had to pay to just go there and sit. Then when we went there another time, I didnt have to pay. So that person stole my money.

Wish it was cheaper but it is fun and alot of stuff to do the food and candy is way over priced so make sure you eat before you go

Diving boards are consistently closed. No need for that many lanes to be open. Go downtown instead.

If no outside food allowed then at least offer something other than junkfood.

Huge area in and out of the water. There were a tonbof people but still had room to hang out and not be bothered.

Plenty of fun space for swimmers of all levels. There is a snack bar and shaded areas with tables too.

The Lawrence Aquatic Center is a fun and inexpensive place to take the family during the summer. They also offer swimming lessons for the kids throughout these months at reasonable prices through the parks department.

VERY nice facility but could use better showers and the lifeguards should keep the kids from playing on the ramp.

I have never been more astonished in my life as a far as unprofessionalism goes. I bunch of kids in charge. I’m surprise this place is still even open. Lone Star in Lawrence, Kansas is free. The prices are outrageous and after years of being open you would think they would have a better facilities. Not only that but how overweight and out of shape 95 percent of the lifeguards are. Sure don’t want to my or my child’s safety placed in their hands. I would not recommend going here unless you feel like being insulted by 16 year olds. The indoor pool does not seem to be to bad. One of these days someone will put them in their place.

Ive worked as a lifeguard at two different swimming pools. I visited the pool in Lawrence and was amazed at how poorly some of the lifeguards seem to enforce rules. Children run around everywhere, and five year olds who can barely swim jump off the high dive and bob across the paths of other jumpers from the normal diving board. Its like there is no protocol for what qualifies as swimming or not. If you are a parent, make sure you are watching your child closely.The facility is nice, there is plenty of shaded area to read or eat a snack. The shallow end is separated from the deeper pool. There is a slide and climbing area as well for kids. Admission is only $4 per adult.

My grandson had his 12 th birthday party there and I was very upset to go d the room that we rented totally filthy. The floors nor swept, tables not cleaned, chairs everywhere. Tracy full. Obviously not ready for next party. When I asked for some cleanup I was told it was not his usual day.

The annual pooch plunge is one of the great events in Lawrence

Its fine if its not too crowded. If youre looking just to swim laps the price is a little steep, especially if you want to go regularly

We bought a monthly pass it helps and save the money which we did but at the same time we didnt get to utilize all of the Aquatic Center because the equipment was broke the bridge to slides or they were remodeling so I felt like we didnt get the full experience of the park
