Was totally great we were there for a family reunion. Had an absolutely wonderful time with the family. Lots of food games, singing and just enjoyed seeing some of the family we hadnt seen in a few years.

Very helpful people I take the Taekwondo class there on Tues and Thurs.

Great place to drop in. Pool tables, work out facility (is awesome), play area outside with trail, gym and much more. Showers/ restroons were not very clean but that would be the only negative.

Nice and friendly staff . I came to play basketball but the court was occupied so I ended up using their shower facility and left. I definitely will come back as their hours 9pm closing hours are feasible with my work schedule. If you dont like huge crowds this is the place for you!

If its free its for me. Been going there for a long time. Its clean and well kept. Love it!!!

Real nice place

The place was clean inside and outside including the parking lot. The staff were great to. If youre wanting me to say something bad about the place really I cant Sept there was no pool chalk? Lol

Played volleyball! Every sun. noon-2p $5. Fun Fun Fun!

This is where the monthly ljw job fair is held. Free food. Motivation/how to be a successful applicant lecture offered.

Alright gym. Probably better if youre a kid. Theres gymnastics for kids and basketball programs. But pretty limited equipment.

The facility is pretty run down. The exercise room is in terrible shape. The stationary bike grinds the entire time you use it (other visitors told me its been like that for a while). The free weights are all rusty. Its free, so I cant really complain, but I opted for a gym membership over using this place for free.

Great neighborhood rec facility!

Great spot for kids to go play. Nice playground and grass spaces outside next to the walking/running trail. Great inside areas with artsy set-ups. I really enjoy having a space like this for the community.

Ive visited the play group in the past. Its only for an hour, but the kids seem to have fun. They charge $5.00 for the time spent there. My last visit I was singing us in and went to pay the $5 dollars. The attendant was so over whelmed with other parents and their kids, he didnt realize I gave him a $20. Cant seem to get a hold of anyone who can help refund the rest of my change.

We are blessed to have such great recreation facilities in Lawrence. I went there for pickleball practice. There is also a professional level table tennis table at this rec center. Plus much more.

Nice little rec center on the East side of town. The inside seems a bit smaller than youd imagine, but they do have excellent classes. Go get some exercise!

Friendly receptionist! Modern, updated. Why pay money for a fitness center when we have Lawrence parks and rec free access.

Looks shity from outside but when you walk in couldnt be a happier place. Well done.

Im a big fan of Lawrence Parks and Rec! Tons of locations where you can get fit for free, take classes, meet peers in the community with like interests...you cant go wrong!

Great city owned recreation center. Classes for kids are fantastic. There is a good community room available to rent for a reasonable price.

Decent gym and weight room as well as pool tables and such. No swimming

We are lucky in Lawrence to have access to free community facilities like these! My only complaint is I wish the fitness room was a bit bigger and included a rowing machine.

Theres several things to do there. You can exercise, have tournaments, toddlers can do gymnastics and its an all around great place to visit

Lack of parking.... And people drive by at way to high of speed for all the children there. Totally to dangerous!!!!!!!!!!!!!
