Drove in from out of town as they stated they were open 8pm-2am, when we got there at 8:30pm they were closed. No explanation!

Terrific venue for a small group, with a sound system to match. Selection at the bar is solid enough, though it is cash only. Its hard to come to this place and not be a fan, with the acoustics, the back patio on the roof, and the atmosphere, its a great spot to see a local band, for sure

This place is so much fun. Get there early for your show if you want a seat. Can get pretty packed. The only reason I wouldnt give it 5 stars is because they dont take credit cards.

A unique place that many dont know about. If youre new to Lawrence youve gotta check it out, especially during a live show.

Had just turned 21 and I have to say Im glad my first legal bar experience was here! Right as I walked in I was told there was a drag show premiering that night, great drinks made on the fly, other costumers were so friendly and had no problem starting up conversations, everyone just mingled together and made it the best experience! Will most definitely be returning!!

Karaoke is a train wreck. Getting tips and bumping up people, cool. Understandable. Dont make people wait 2 hours to sing one song, especially when they still tipped you. Waitresses are pleasant, MCs are fun, bartenders are slow. Can be a good time if youre there to just sit and watch.

I enjoy the atmosphere and live music but the bartender I had most of the time wasnt friendly and I paid 3 different prices for beer throughout the night. They need more consistency for their special.

Walking down Mass I happened to glance up and see the word Jazz in neon. The stairs leading up were painted like piano keys. Ofcourse I had to check it out. Poked my head in and a nice girl greeted me with a smile. I fell in love with the place instantly. It had a great local vibe. I love a dimly lit, intimate scene and this is it. We visited several bars that night, Jazzhaus wins in my book. If youve not been there, check it out. They also have live music on the weeekends

Excellent place for live shows and music. They have a nice patio put back, but please be aware they are a cash only bar. They have some of the best drink specials in town.

There is a cozy yet vibrant feel to this place. The employees and owners are some of the best in the service industry! -Feelin the Monday Blues?... go to Jazzhaus on Mondays for some karaoke to let it all out on the mic!! The crowd is friendly and the atmosphere is so as well!!

Great music, great service

One of the long-standing live music and entertainment venues in town. Some shows are good and some are not. Great vibe to the building.

The Jazzhaus has a very friendly atmosphere. A nice place to chill and listen to music. Because youre not gonna see much if youre sitting. My 1st time there was this past weekend. We arrived early for the show. Was able to get good seating up close by the stage and all. What I didnt know was having good seating wasnt so good. The floor in front of us and between the stage became packed with people who came later, blocking our view. In observing, I realized that this must be the norm when it comes to well known groups coming to play here. We listen to a few songs then left. Looking at peoples rear-ends shaking in front of our faces wasnt what we came to see. Lol! Cover was only $5 so I wasnt about to make a fuss over that. Other than that, it has a great atmosphere. If you dont mind standing the whole show...this isnt a bad place for cool, peaceful entertainment. Dont go early expecting good seating though cause it wont matter when the late, Comers flock in. Unless its not a big crowd there.

This is an alright place. Not the best but not the worst. Seems to be only as few music venues in Lawrence (I could be wrong I dont live here). The pours are small and the shots are even smaller. But the prices arent half bad. Always crowded when we come (good thing?) and not much service to compensate for all the people. Come early so you dont have to pay the cover Its worth it and to get a good seat.

Im not a fan of traditional bars, but when musical guests are here, this is a pretty neat place if youre alright with cramped space. Theres a balcony out back for a little fresh air.

They offer some live music and karaoke once a week at least.

Ive only been here during the dragshows, but definitely a friendly environment and good place to get a drink.

When you tell them their online drink specials say something different and their response is do you believe everything you read on the internet? :-/ The place is an ok place to kill time and hit up during the weekend but nothing special.

Good deals on Tuesday nights, other than that not too exciting. Better bars in Lawrence.
