I went with the love of my life before he passed away. We had the most wonderful time. The food was great at the restaurant and the zoo was very nice. I enjoyed the western show which was funny. I will never forget the beautiful memories that we made here
This wonderful classic Western town is a must see. Classic Western town, melodramas and even a hanging play to get people and kids interested in history. Several fantastic antiques have been preserved in a museum and the whole town looks like it was taken right out of an old spaghetti western. The old train is wonder, the scenery around the area is magnificent, and the whole experience is great. I enjoyed it very much!
My family enjoyed coming to Bonnie Spring ranch. My sons and daughter loved the cowboy shows and how they involved their audience. My kids favorite cowboy was Jesse since they thought he was super funny. I wish I would of taken a picture of my kids with the cowboys. The little zoo that they have is pretty nice and kids can pet some animals and feed them. Kids loveeeee it here. The restaurants food is amazing. Try the sampler platter
Bonnie Springs Ranch is only a few weeks from closing for good, which is bad news for Las Vegas. This is one of the last few places left for families to get away from the city and enioy a day at a replica wild west town. Sadly, many of the buildings are not a accessible anymore. Bonnie Springs will be missed!
Fun rustic place that appears to have seen better days! Peacocks roam the area and there are plenty of ducks around the pond. It was cold so we went in for some spiked coffee drinks, chili and soups. It all tasted good!! This was a nice diversion to take up the time during our flight delay!
THEY ARE CLOSING RANCH, HOTEL, CAFE EVERYTHING IN MARCH! ITS SAD TO SEE THIS AS IVE watched this place grow into such a nice place I cant believe owners are retiring and its already in escrow SAY YOUR LAST VISIT GOODBYE. Everything is open and will until March 2019. I truly hope n pray they work something out and stay. Its been here since early 1950s! I LOVE THIS PLACE! Our FAMILY HAD A AWESOME TIME TODAY AND WILL TRY 2 RETURN BEFORE MARCH AGAIN! They are little more packed because its closing soon. Everything remains same until it does.
Bonnie Springs really is fun for everyone. Petting Zoo (the deer love to chew on your clothes and amazing looking wolves), Old Western Town, Live Comedy Western re-enactments like hangings, horse back riding, train, beautiful area. It’s a must if you have kids, but’s it’s fun for any age.
Was looking forward to trying the restaurant but turns out the whole place closed a year ago. Don’t waste your time driving down to the ranch!
A great place to get a bite to eat, see a western cowboy show, or go horseback riding. Its laid back and has some beautiful views.
The wranglers were very friendly people. They described the landscape & wildlife native to the area. We even saw a few bucks & a doe. They tool beautiful photos of us against the mountains. I just wish the ride was longer. The breakfast/brunch was delicious & prepared quickly. There is also a petting zoo. Included are small kangaroo, deer, chickens, porcupine, lynx, hogs, llama, ponies, goats, & a few others. No, not everything is available to pet for safety reasons.
Fun place to visit. Get away from the big crowds and experience Nevada in a unique way. Very cold during winter time. Stop at the cool bar/restaurant next to the zoo entrance and enjoy the ambiance.
Went one last time to grab a Bonnie burger and blue moon. Sat right next to Bonnie and reminisced about all the times Ive been here over the last 26 years of my life. I miss Bonnie and her kind loving spirit. Could whip it in to shape but also put a smile on everyones face that was lucky enough to know her. Thank you Bonnie springs Ranch for all youve done. You will be forever missed.
I love supporting the non profit zoo. Visiting Old Town is educational and fun for the family. Staying at the hotel is quaint and peaceful, though it needs to be updated and to have deep cleaning done frequently.
Great experience It is great to see places like that that still holds a lot of history and look almost untouched. Parking was full but we could easily find another spot as people come and leave very often.
This is one of those hidden gems outside of Vegas. You need to head to Red Rock, and drive for not too long before you see the entrance. Bonnie Springs has so much to offer families. From a petting zoo of donated and rescued animals, to recreations of old west shows even a gunfight and hanging. This doesnt even touch on the wax museum. The cost at the door gets you access to everything. At $10 for adults and $7 for children it is reasonably priced. Things you can add up, if you want pony rides or horseback riding, but the core is all inclusive and that includes train rides. Theres also a restaurant, which you dont have to pay to get in you can simply enjoy.
This is a great family place to visit. Its pretty quiet and relaxing, lots of nature to see (of course). The drive there is easy and its worth going.
We heard the Bonnie Springs was closing so decided to try breakfast at the restaurant. It’s very cowboy themed. With wooden tables and chairs with a big fireplace in the middle. I got the wrangler breakfast which was two eggs with bacon, potatoes and pancakes. The service was good and the ducks outside enjoyable. Too bad the petting zoo didn’t open until 10:30 or we would have checked it out.
Didnt know what to expect... drove into an old-time western family fun event center. Theres a petting zoo, family-friendly shows all day long, a kiddie train ride, all set into the beautiful Red Rock Canyon National Park. Seriously gorgeous landscape! Its about 45 minutes west of Las Vegas, but a great break from the bustle and people. We all had a great time.
Excellent food & unique experience.A great way to spend the day!
This place was beautiful. We had an awesome day. The shows were entertaining and the restaurant was good. My little girls loved the petting zoo and all the turtles. October is a beautiful time to visit.
Bonnie Springs restaraunt is so wild west charming, we had both had the bison burger and agreed it was delicious! The ghost town was super cute and there is a petting zoo.
Cool place! Superb for caravans, weekend getaways, families
We went to see the animals, and had lunch at the diner. The diner was the highlight! great service with a delicious bison burger! Get a root beer float, they are generous with the ice cream :)
Had alot of potential to be great but way to many annoying signs.....no hiking, no picnicking, no parking, no walking, no pictures, no this and that. Beautiful location but some of its pretty run down.
So sad that this place is closing. My girlfriend and I went and had such a great time. Like we always do. The restaurant is so yummy. Just in shock that they are ripping the whole thing down and developing over it. We will go back one more time before it closes.
Family friendly throwback to the olden day’s kinda place. Neat spot and a play that replicates the old west ways and living.
Awesome place to check out. Heading through red rock.
Bus place takes the cake for taking you back in time. They charge 10 bucks which is worth it for all you get.The shows can be corny but the actors are polished and fun to interact with once you are there.Go check it out.. You get to pet animals and get chased for food at the petting zoo.
My 7 year old loved it. They had cute shows. The animals in the petting zoo seemed shabby and the area they were in was not very clean or big. My daughter wanted to go horseback riding through red rock and to my surprise they allowed her to. That made her day
Today 3/17/2019 was the Last Day Bonnie Springs is open. The land was sold to developers to build YET ANOTHER LUXURY NEIGHBORHOOD for stuck up extremely rich Dkheads. The Ranch was there entertaining locals and tourists since 1958. Unfortunately the Ranch now will be just a memory. You will never enjoy the land unless youre one the filthy rich swine who will inhabit the 26 McMansions. Anyone else will only be allowed on the land to cater to the rich inhabitants disgusting selves.
Beautiful get away location, plenty to see and do
Steve, Kirby and the Louisiana guy ( sorry could not remember his name) were great tour guides giving us the history of the land. My husband and I did the Breakfast Ride, I had Molly and my husband had her beau Razzle. Steves jokes were great as well. Even the welcoming committee (Lugnut) was great. Thank you guys again for helping us celebrate our 12 year anniversary.
A really nice place to visit with petting zoo and ghost Town.
Lovely place, Soon to be history. The land has been sold to a developer.
Everything about this place is Magic. The fact that its 10 minutes from town whether youre coming from Mountains Edge or Summerlin. Its such a different world. The old-time town and cowboys energy really bring everything and everyone together. They really involve everyone in their shows, and the kids love being able to catch a bad guy and become a junior deputy. there is a resturant/bar in addition to a old time full service saloon in the old town. Whether you end your day at the petting zoo or going back to your room at the Bonnie Springs Motel you cant lose either way
Its on its last legs and it shows. Kids would love it, but it doesnt offer adults much.
Great experience prices are reasonable nice little getaway get to feed lots of animals staff are all very friendly very helpful and knowledgeable old town is very historic and educational train ride is comforting and great nice little day getaway for the whole family
If you are in the park, go here to grab a bite to eat. Had the bison burger, tastes a lot like hamburger but when youre hungry you cant taste the difference. Yum.
Food was surprisingly good. Nice to see some money has been put back into venue for refresh since my last visit.Service staff was pleasant, but not attention oriented.
Kids love it, nice day out with the family
This motel is quaint with its themed rooms. Ours had an eagle theme. The bed was very comfortable and the room was well stocked with plenty of towels (high quality too). They have a small coffee maker and enough supplies for 8 cups of coffee. Enjoyable stay!
We have been here a few times now, usually a stop we make when our on our motorcycle. Such a great place, love the food, an love being near the mountain side!
Eclectic old town feel with a petting zoo, wildlife pond, train ride for kids, and restaurant... an enjoyable return to the past!
Bonnie screams. Awesome job. We go every single year
Experienced cool weather on a Summer day and had to take advantage of it. Took a friend who had never been and we had a ball feeding animals and enjoying the turtles. A classic for any NV resident and a peaceful pleasure for any out-of-towner.
Yeehaw! From pickup to dropoff this experience was phenomenal. If youre looking for something to do other than gaming stop by the ranch. Everyone was friendly and informative. Breakfast was hearty and delicious. I will definitely visit again.
Cool destination off of the regular Vegas strip area. Beautiful drive through red Rock canyon to this spot.
Always a awesome place for the family. Very sad to see it go
I went to Bonnie Springs Ranch during the Bonnie Screams Halloween event. The actual event was very fun and scary!! All 5 haunted houses were unique and spooky, all worth going to. The lines went fairly quick but you were still only with your own group when you went inside the haunt. Very cool. Unfortunately, it didnt seem like Bonnie Springs was very well equipped to handle all of the people. We got in the line for people who had gotten their tickets online & it took about 20-30 minutes to get through to get into the Ranch. For those in the regular line, Im sure it was over an hour wait just to get in. We wanted to eat there, but there were no food trucks. Only 2 not-very-well labeled food places. We went to eat at the bar/restaurant, and they had maybe 3-4 waiters, no hostess, and no clear way to get on the waiting list. We waited 30+ minutes to be seated, and another 30 to get our food. It didnt feel like they were well equipped to handle the volume of people at the event. I think they would have been better off if they allowed some sort of food truck/vendor system during this event.
Always a good time.Met the new African Servil.Had an awesome, country breakfast and lots of beautiful scenery!
Amazing place to come and spend a few hours with the family. The ambience is of western theme. They have a few shows per day and an amazing petting zoo. I would say that the petting zoo is the highlight of the park. The scenic mountains surround the park with stunning views that can make anyone awe with beauty. If in or near las vegas i highly reccomend.
We were going to turn left but turned right and found this great place outside of Vegas. You have to get off the main roads to find great hidden places.
We had the best time! Great horses with better wranglers!
Such an amazing place!! Heartbroken that it is closing.
The best part of going was the show the men put on, super funny and entertaining for the kids. The rest is a bunch of gift shops and the animal look miserable in tiny cages.
We always have a good time here, restaurant has great food. Love taking my girls horse back riding dont forget to tip your instructor
They have horse back riding which I took advantage of. I rode the horse named Bo, he was energetic, well behaved and I think hungry? Of all the horses on the trail he stopped the most to munch on the plants. They have other activities to engage in such as mountain climbing, a photo studio and a cute train ride.
The restaurant was cozy and had good fit. We went on a horseback ride and had a great time.
I will dearly miss this place, its very saddening it will teared down. It holds a very special place in my heart.
So sad to see it go i grew up going and it will be missed
This place is loved by many children. I really enjoyed taking my daughter horseback riding on her birthday. We had lunch at the restaurant there and then went riding. We have been there multiple times. We also enjoy the petting zoo. It’s so beautiful. It’s so nice to get away from the city life and enjoy the country life. Bonnie’s springs is very educational for children and it lets them be children.
Great place to take the whole family
It was $10 for adults and $7 for children. We got there on a Friday around noon and it was mostly dead. The train was not running but they had a few shows throughout the afternoon. The kids loved the petting zoo which is bigger than youd expect. It was really fun family activity overall.
A little side trip on the way back from Red Rock Canyon. Has the flavor of the old west . A little rundown but still worth the side trip.
The experience was very enjoyable. It was a lot of fun. Kids love being able to feed the animals and walk around the area. In the spring months, its not too hot to visit.
Bonnie Springs is such a wonderful place to go as a family! The actors really bring it to life, and make you feel like youre in an old Western town. The show at the saloon is really funny. The bartender is very nice, and the drinks are cold and refreshing. The sasparilla is a real treat! The restaurant is great, and their breakfast is delicious. The shops are full of fun and affordable souvenirs. The zoo is by far the best part. Especially the donkey!
Nice place to visit. Kids friendly, great people
We dont ride horses often, but it was an easy and beautiful ride. The guide was great, I dont remember her name(as its been over a year) I think she was the owner, maybe it was Bonnie. When we arrived, it ended up being just my wife and I. The guide, she took us on her favorite trail. She took some pictures of us on the horses. The background is gorgeous and the mountains are Majestic. We very much enjoyed our time at the ranch.
Great location for climbing at Red Rocks. Kitchens in the rooms so you can cook.
A bit run down but still really fun especially if you have little ones that are entertained easily. You can spend as short as an hour or upwards of 4. The petting zoo is really fun and they have quite the range of animals. They have a train that you can ride thats fun and they have a few plays they go through including a high noon hanging. Ill definitely be going back.
I have now spent a few days here with friends and family. My daughter is in heaven. The staff at the salon is wonderful and attentive and the animals are super friendly and warm. You defiantly need a whole day here, I know we enjoyed the few days we were here. Highly recommended for families.
Very enjoyable! Did petting zoo, fed donkeys ponies turkeys roosters goats sheep deer. were good amount of exotic animals wallaby porcupine emus llamas prairie dogs wolves . saw donkey posse when leaving in wild eating trees. Highly recommended! Dont bring anything external on your body theyll chew on it. Bring gloves, grocery bag to hold pellets in, paper towels & hand sanitizer to wipe hands.
I am going to miss this place SO MUCH. I remember coming as a kid and hanging out with the cowboys, eating some cactus candy, watching the melodrama, checking out the peacocks... I took my mom for the last weekend, we had a blast. Thanks for the good times, Bonnie Springs!
Really quaint old fashioned town style atmosphere. Bar was really cool.. nice staff and relaxed people having a good time added to the appeal. Duck pond outside the bar is a nice touch. Really feels like you stepped into another place (or time)!
A lovely throwback! It is so sad the children of the originators of Bonnie Springs are selling off this little jewel for a housing development. The property has not been cared for properly but it is still a wonderful, fun place for families to go to get away from Las Vegas for an afternoon.
We love Bonnie Springs! The drive in we look forward to hopefully seeing a wild Burro and or horse. Then as you drive in the Red Rock mountains are the background to BS....they are STUNNING!!!! Then you enter this town which is a throwback to cowboy days with an old town setup for you to walk around. There is a little zoo which is always fun to visit. As you walk to the restaurant you are greeted by beautiful peacocks everywhere and ducks and sun turtles basking in the sun in the little pond with food to feed the ducks. There are horses for horse back riding. The restaurant is rustic and deelish. We always bring visitors to BS to share one of our favorite places in Nevada. We are heartbroken that it will no longer be there....one of natures beauties will be a distant memory....so sad!!!!
It was an experience I will never forget. My daughter and granddaughter took me there not knowing exactly what it was. I was in awe. The animals were amazing. I took pictures of all of them. They were all very well taken care of. I will be returning this coming spring. Of course I am an animal lover, so this place was ment for me.I love Bonnie Springs Ranch.
Great haunted house beautiful place
Well miss you Bonnie Spring ️Always had a wonderful time here. Seeing the peacocks walking around and feeding the ducks. It was always a fun family time.
It was mostly closed when we went. I guess its off season. The food in the restaurant was pretty good. Theres a nice pond with peacocks, ducks and turtles. Its a good stop if u have children and happen to be in Vegas with them..
If your looking to escape from the Las Vegas heat but dont wanna spend too much or drive too far yet still have a great time... Then this is the place for you! The petting zoo is so much fun, the shows and shoot outs are phenomenal and the restaurant has delicious eats!
Its hard to say goodbye to an iconic tourist spot. All we will have are memories and pictures, lots of them.Cheers for the wonderful and good times.
Great place to visit. All of the staff was super friendly, helping in anyway possible. The whole staff was definitely a crew. The grounds were well kept, clean everywhere, especially the restrooms. We chose to go horseback riding while visiting the ranch. Roy was our guide and was really nice and sociable. Being it is so close to town, we will be back again, probably do a picnic ride and also check out the onsite petting zoo.
My heart breaks at the thought of this place getting demolished. Every trip Ive made to Vegas has included a stop at bonnie springs. Anybody out there that hasnt gone yet, do it soon before its gone. Will sorely miss this place. Thanks to the owners for many wonderful memories.
Blast of local charm at this run down Mom and Pop curiousity and history display. Heard its being sold to a developer. So see this gem before its lost to progress. (Great Cafe! Go there for you breakfast!)
I have come here several times. Very interesting history, all staff are super friendly and each have unique stories to tell. Definitely kid friendly, even at Halloween when it transforms into Bonnie Screams. I have never had any paranormal experiences, but I did get to meet Angry Cowboy Joe who has been on Ghodt Adventures on the Travel Channel. He has so many interesting experiences to share!
Such a fun day to be had here. A goat chewed my skirt, and I loved it! They have a good restaurant there for after you see all the animals and the Ranch. Better to go in nice weather like in the spring or fall.
The guided horseback tour was great. The guides were very informative and entertaining. The scenery is amazing (at least for a gal from Ohio) and the horses are well trained, which is a very good thing for a novice like me.
Sorry to see this landmark go. The kids love the wild west mining town experience and petting zoo.The restaurant serves delicious food and the service at the bar is excellent. If you have the time, you should visit this place before it closes.
Its so hard, and sad, to let this staple go! The train ride in lets the family see that the fun is about to begin. Once inside the town, theres everything youd hope to find in a miniature town; shops, shows, souvenirs, and beer! Outside is a quaint restaurant and lodging options. Sadly though, the management miss understood the necessity for regular maintenance. An extreme shame.
Small quick get away near Las Vegas. Motel is rustic but comfortable. My youngest son (10) was in heaven. Sadly the old west town was closed while we were there. Will be going back midweek to get the whole experience
The Bonnie Springs Ranch Zoo, located behind the gift shop in Old Town, offers your family an exciting opportunity to get up close and personal with animals both native and foreign to Nevada. From local rabbits and burros to Australian emus and wallabies, the zoo contributes an exotic and interactive source of entertainment for visitors of all ages. In keeping with the Old Town environment, roaming chickens may even accompany you on your journey.
Wonderful place!!! As a local, I like to come here regularly to get out of the city life. Very charming. The food always hit the spot. Oh yeah, and there are peacocks everywhere :)
A fun experience in a beautiful setting. Lunch was delicious at the restaurant. The zoo was fun too. I would recommend going! The shops were so-so. Some areas were inaccessible for our stroller.
#quaint #weekendgetaway We stayed in a nice room that included entrance to the wild West Town and zoo. Everyone was nice. Restaurant was a little pricey but overall, this is an often overlooked gem just outside Vegas.
This place rocks. We rode our motorcycles out there. We visited the petting zoo and then we ate there. The Bonnie Springs Burger will not leave any man or woman disappointed definitely have to give that burger and fries two of the biggest thumbs up ever. So delicious so juicy so perfectly prepared and then the staff were so friendly happy it was a pleasure to visit.
We only had time to eat at the restaurant before a play at spring mountain ranch next door started. The burgers are great and the service was wonderful. I wish we could have walked around the park a bit more, but it was still a great experience nevertheless.
Absolutely a must-see if you want things to do around Vegas with kids. 4 stars because the shooting gallery definitely needs some updating and the shops werent great. The staff earned these stars with their charisma. They put on a corny melodrama and a staged hanging, and even though there were only about 20 people in the audience, they did a great job. Well worth the $10 admission for a break from the Vegas strip.
