I brought a family treasure to Ernesto Chavez. It bore a famous name but was actually a forgery. It had been in the family since Uncle Roy bought it (1930s). It was mounted old style, on boards. To pass it off as a forgery, my Uncle Roy had to purchase a worthy painting. Mom and I brought it to get mounted properly. And it came alive with the changes. It looks quite striking now, even though the years have faded it. Mr. Chavez did a good job on mounting it properly.

Ernesto and his wife spent over 90 minutes working with me as we looked at countless options for mats, fillets, and frames for two antique maps. The end results were simply gorgeous. As someone who has worked with high end framers in other parts of the country previously I am excited to know that there is a local option here in Las Vegas. I highly recommend Galleria de Chavez for anyone that is looking for a great quality presentation. In fact, I already have future projects lined up to bring them myself.

I thought I knew the type of frame I wanted for my new painting going in, but nothing Ernesto was showing me was working. We were getting a little discouraged when he finally produced the most perfect frame ... it was magic !! It was like the frame was made for this painting and it was nothing like I would have ever thought of to try. He has a special gift. It was also ready three days before it was supposed to be, Very good and professional experience. I would definitely recommend him for any job ....big or small.: )
