Very interesting, educational, & engaging. Larger than I expected. 2 stories. However Could use an update/remodel but as I learned while talking with staff in the store this museum is a nonprofit organization & relies on donations so now it makes a lot of more sense to me having experience working in a few museums. The store could use more items for sale but I was able to find a few things nonetheless. I think it’s a worthwhile visit. Wish I had seen the info about the app that they have prior to walking around the entire museum so I’ll have to download it now. I will actually come back again to see what new exhibits they may have and to see some of the other permanent displays/info again.
Definitely an interesting place to visit! I recommend going but only if you’re ok with the human body and what many people find pleasurable. This museum has a little bit of everything. Politics, crimes, history, art, humor, and educational. The staff is very nice, it is off the strip. It’s a 2 story museum and you can spend as much time as you want inside. At first I was kinda regretting what I got my wife and I into but once inside, I felt more comfortable at the fact that it wasn’t all just a bunch of genitalia everywhere. Free parking, near a couple of dispensaries, inside felt pretty fresh, everything looked clean.
This manager Tina is very rude. She will over talk you and not listen to your concerns. She was unprofessional and not helpful at all. She was no help when there was an issue with me not having my email confirmation. The exits were just ok. But she made the experience horrible. Don’t waste your money!
Very stylistic and informative. Visit for the entertainment factor, stay for the science!
Made a visit today (9/5) it was perfect for me because on a Wednesday it wasnt packed. The ladies that checked us in were so nice. Lots to look at!!! I definitely learned something today... Youre allowed to take photos on the 1st floor, just no flash or video. The second floor holds artifacts and amazing erotic art work ( no pictures) highly recommend if you have an open mind!
Very interesting from the time we walked in until we left out! There is a great mixture of entertainment, education and foreplay stimulus. Having an open mind and being with someone you are comfy with are key! You can easily be in this museum at least 3 hours.
Not what I expected. I was actually expecting something a little more exciting/dirty lol. The penny penis was awesome! The bike was kind of stupid in my opinion. The best part in my opinion was the bathroom graffiti. In short look at some of the other reviews here if you are still interested then go. $10 really isnt to bad If you are interested at all. If your not interested then save the walk and the money and place $10 on black.
Very stylistic and informative. Visit for the entertainment factor, stay for the science!
Interesting museum that talks about sex (and politics) throughout history. I apologize if the photos are too graphic. Its affordable and with the admittance.
Great experience, the top floor was really interesting, a must see if your in vegas
Very interesting... The videos playing certainly got my juices flowing.. Educational a bit as well.
Do you enjoy sex, history, biology, pop culture, or art? Then you owe it to yourself to see this museum. World history, human development, local history, and so much information! I cannot get over how much I loved this museum. My ONLY critique would be that the gift show was a little sparse. I would have loved to buy recreations of some of the artifacts.
This place is wild and amazing. Not enough words to explain this place. Youll have to go see it for yourself.
Its interesting. More like a side show or freak show than a museum!
My girlfriends and I drove past the Erotic History Museum and decided to stop. We found the two flashers at the entrance hilarious and just missed the penis puppetry show so we opted to check out the museum. I am not sure what the normal cost for the museum is, but since we got there an hour before they closed they charged us $10 per person. However, once we finished up we were all unimpressed with the content of the museum. We felt that there wasnt enough items inside to merit the cost. The bottom floor of the museum had a few exhibits and some interactive areas. The top floor had a few exhibits and a lot of erotic art work and a room where they played various celebrity sex tapes. They did have a wall for survivors of sexual assault to write anything they were feeling. It was bittersweet to read the wall where people told stories of happiness and sadness. While it was an interesting museum it was not worth $10 (or whatever they normally charge) and my recommendation would be to skip it while in Vegas.
Fun and informative, silly and serious. Dont miss it!
Let your curiosity check this place out. its really cool.
It was an interesting experience. Its not for shy people.
So many things to read and learn, risque but also very entertaining and full of knowledge to soak in. Loved it
Very interesting museum. Check out the lifecasts upstairs by an artist. Amazing and worth the visit alone!
We swung through here after walking back from the pot shops. It was a decent bang for your buck, cheap tickets and some good laughs going through it all with my wife. I would recommend stopping in if youre nearby, but its not something you need to go out of your way to visit.
The show was awesome. The bar staff could use more training in exemplary service though...
Visited today on 10/13 and there was a band playing in the lobby. The tickets were discounted to $10. The staff was very friendly. The museum was bigger than expected and enjoyable. Two floors of exhibits that were very interesting. It did seem a bit disjointed though. I expected either to be lead historically or categorically through the exhibits but that did not seem the case. Additionally, I would have liked to see more signage or even guided tours.
Fun place to go to. We got the student price upon showing our student cards. Quite a lot of different small exhibits inside so can a bit weird but overall fun experience.
If its a museum, Ill visit. Original concept, entertaining exhibits. If you need to get out of the Vegas heat, swing on by, and cool off. Or not.
Amazing!!!!Need more time to visit all exhibits! Will definitely visit again when I go back to Vegas! The place is absolutely remarkable! I learned so much!Such a learning experience!
Interesting place, but far away from what you would expected regarding what is inside. It was much more promising from outside. The first scene inside on the right is President Trump with two girls and Hilary Clinton behind them. Is this really what should be found here?!The rest is not very interesting.
Very educational and sex positive. Dont let the idea that this is a sex museum stop you from going in. Had lots of interesting facts on gender and sex in space and does cool things with Planned Parenthood. Its a super awesome museum and conveniently located right off the strip.
Interesting and educational. Info is not only local but of a national and international level concerning sex. Lots to see and learn. Great way to kill an afternoon.
Worth a visit if youre into offbeat museums or the history of erotica, but it needs a lot of love. Many of the panels were HUGE, as in they physically spanned like ten feet across the wall. That led to museum fatigue way sooner than necessary. The fonts were not uniform, which also added to fatigue. A lot of sloppy typos. The best part was the theatre, which played vintage blue films--really cool! Wished there had been a wider range of artifacts. The peep show exhibit was also disappointing. Still fun!
Really loved the educational history of sexuality and kinkery. Sure to leave positive lasting memories in my mind and spirit!! Highly recommend to people who are not prudes. Loved, Loved, Loved the Phallic works of art in the museum and The Puppetry of the Penis show. 100% Beef
Was a pretty informative experience.
Definitely worth a look! Lots of interesting information that crosses many cultural borders. Yes, there is also porn. But that is not the focus here!
Unique place but definitely on the pricey side. Has a decent assortment of displays, which teach aspects of the historical side of eroticism. Worth a visit but less than amazing.
I would recommend this place. Me and my partner just came back. Was a great place. Plus got a free gift in there too. Dint let negative reviews put you off.
Actually amazing! Not at all what I was expecting. Theres a lot of really cool things not directly sex related
Such a needed and unique exploration into a critical element of our humanity. Erotic Art is as old as we are as humans. It is in every culture, in every medium discovered. Thank you for creating a space to explore so much of its history.
None of the staff were on the same page. Front desk girl was passive aggressive. Bartenders did not want to be bothered. Really cool place, but the staff definitely ruined it. I HATE leaving bad reviews. But hopefully someone reads this and fixes the apathetic staff.
The exhibits are interesting but the flow is definitely disjointed. Its like they havent figured out how to have everything work together or provide enough of a break between exhibits so its not confusing.
Way too much fun. Talk about having grand of a great time two days in a row here. Stand up was wierd and extremely funny. Strip joint next door most incredible foxy ladies the museum we nasty I mean in a preverted way wahoooo.
I thought that this place had a few good pieces in their exhibit but paying $15 each and given the promise of getting a free gift from the Love Boutique After going to the museum only to learn that we would have to buy stuff from the boutique to get our free gift. I think this is a lie told to us so we would buy tickets to a place that was not worth the $30 we paid combined. Shame on you. You obvious are aware your museum is not worth the price of a ticket if you have to lie to sell us a ticket
You will need 60-90 mins to enjoy all of it. MUCH more if you want to read everything. ALOT more involved and interesting than I imagined.
Awesome place!!! Very wheelchair/walker friendly!! Great Staff!! Very Clean!! I attended a play here, so besides a museum there are many many other events here, I would recommend visiting & visiting their website for events from time to time also!!
Interesting collection of things. No flow to the exhibits, though.
False hours. Took an uber all the way here just to be told they close in 15 when their Google maps they manage says midnight and was also told every night was correct except for the hours I followed tonight. Sad inconvenience, wont be trying to go again - lots of other activities that are better managed
Place is awesome! Learned alot!
Do not let the name of this establishment fool you! While it was indeed erotic, this museum does live up to the hype of what a museum should provide to its visitors: information! I learned so much about the evolution of sex in society and how society not only has perceived sex over time, but also its love/hate relationship of acceptance of sex in society. CAUTION: There are plenty of graphic displays. Obviously, that is the point, but a lot of great history and information to go along with these displays.
When in Vegas....interesting exhibit. Inclides educational information but definitely an 18+ exhibit.
Its was neat. Very different and interesting artifacts but not worth $30. Visited 1/2.Tickets was purchased throu groupon.
It was very interesting and fun but could have been more fun if some of exhibits were working.
I enjoyed being naked inside the museum and exposing my wife she also enjoyed it soaking wet when we left. there for the world naked bike ride. They encourage us to be nude inside I love being naked with other people whether they are clothed or nude to
The museum was large, but content was relatively uninformed and gaudy. Not to mention, there was a very obvious political bias. One I tend to agree with, but it cheapens the experience greatly.
Ladies at the ticket booth were really cool. Very clean restrooms. Chill atmosphere. Interesting facts and exhibits.
Very interesting stuff... Lots of history here both old and new. It seems like it is an ever evolving display. The only thing I didnt understand was the sex in space installation
Puppetry of the Penis... Great show. Going back when Mom comes to visit again. Cant wait to get into the museum.
Had a blast at the Puppetry of the Penis show! If you go see one show in Vegas, make it that one! Out of the way a bit and a small room, I laughed the entire time!
Its ok. Not all what I expected to be. I was expecting to see a replica of the Porn legend John Holmes penis. Lets not forget about my boy Ron Jeremy.
Looked like an Elementary school project. Too politically driven (toward the left) and under funded. Definitely not worth the $15 bucks a ticket for a self guided tour.
So much potential, great concept. But the museum is terrible, yall. Grammatical mistakes riddle the already laughably uninformative narratives. The actual art is provided almost no information at all. Chintzy, silly displays of currently available sex toys. Youd have a better time just visiting a sex shop. Even the gift shop is bad! The whole thing is just the worst.
A trip to the where and when of love and sex and, if youve loss your mind walking in the door when your chin hits the floor. You can get a first class tour by one of the helpful maidens.Mercedes is a first class tour guide a historian of knowledge as you will be served a wealth of information. So stop in let loose and enjoy what you will never forget .
Tee Ronis Bar inside is a great place to enjoy excellent cocktails
Highly recommended if you are at all interested in the history. Very well done.
Great sex info. Ull love it
I loved this place. I actually learned so much from it and just by reading everything I now have better arguments when people give me biased arguments haha
Not sure what I was expecting but this wasnt it. Saw a Puppetry of Penisshow and opted for the musum as well. Suggest skipping it, not worth $30. (But the show was great!)
Great experience, maybe not so much for the Harvey Weinstein type pervert... but if you are opened minded and want to know about the history of sex it is well worth checking out... subjects range from funny to extremely serious
Went to the Freakshow on a Saturday night. And visited the museum on Sunday. Very informative. Got to see Ava Brauns panties!
Fantastic place to see! Loved every minute. Definitely go through if you get the chance.
Dont waste your money hereId give it zero stars if possible. What a dissapointment
$15 for normal $10 student or military. Many interesting naked book
It had alot of information. Loved the wall upstairs where u can let it all out, or leave something encouraging. I just thought it would be more than it was. Went to one like it in Miami and it had way more artifacts
Interesting place. A little more “scientific” than I expected but still interesting.
Nice place.. would not let me carry my purse said it was too big.. im traveling from out of state and cashier told me leave my purse with her . If she stole my stuff i would be out of luck.. so i asked for refund and left so i missed the full opportunity there..
Ive been here years ago. Glad its still here. The staff is friendly and non judgemental so cmon in and explore!
Not on the top of my list. Too politically charged for my taste.
Fun and funny. Informative place about sex and the history involving it. They used to have more Male models and replicas but they took them out, so that was disappointing.
The production values may not have been the best, but the content was educational and entertaining.
I used to volunteer there a year after I moved and it was pretty cool. Lots of information on the subject of sex and eroticism surrounding famous people as well as average joes!
In my opinion its necessary for everybody to at least check out this place one time its super educational for you
LOVED this place. I was with a group of girls who were prudes and couldnt talk them into the museum. BUT enjoyed the outside and this will be my first stop on my next visit to vegas!!
Very interesting, not like any of the other sex museums that I have seen.
This place is very open and educational honestly a great time for anybody. If youre feeling explorative make sure to check out their events and classes!
Very interesting place. Lots of displays to catch your eye. They have live shows from time to time which are quite enjoyable.
It was okay, it looks a lot bigger on the outside. There is a lot of empty space.
A MUST VISIT IF YOU COME TO VEGAS! ALL THE SMUT YOU CAN HANDLE RIGHT IN HERE!
Come read to read. There is a lot of academic information to read here. Make sure you have time to come and learn!
The facility is a bit rough around the edges, but they have a few interesting items in their collection. The upstairs is definitely the best part.
Part educational, part kink, all erotic, this unique museum offers a smattering of collected items and frank discussion about sex through the ages. I enjoyed the collection of old peep booths.
The perfect mix of classy and sleazy! LOVE IT!!
It was great, lots of old history, fun facts, fun time with an old friend.
If you love eroticism you’ll love this museum even more ;)
Basic displays, some interesting exhibits
Absolutely awful save your money... Extremely liberal and extremely feminist and very anti-male
The experience was ok. I guess I expected more. No diversity at all. However I applaud the effort.
Amazing place. If you like to try something new or they have shows and screenings sometimes, the museum itself is awesome alot of sexual history i dont want to give away to much go see it for yourself( alone or even better with your significant other) something fun to do in vegas.
Expected something more factual, historical, realistic. This seemed to be something Trump would like.
We visited in October 2017. The building is industrial feeling inside with exhibits that are poorly laid out. We renamed it the Seediness Heritage Museum. I would love to see the experience upgraded like Victorias Secret did for purchasing bras and panties. Exhibits were poorly marked, dusty, labels missing, and there was a nobody takes care of this place anymore vibe. I cant recommend this to anyone.
Disappointed. Information overload + busy displays (with spelling mistakes) = exhausting experience. My recommendation would be to hire a exhibition designer to help create the layout and design of each display. At the moment its like walking into a 7 year olds schools exhibition.
