Great for winter activities. Would have garnered 5 stars had the restrooms been in better shape. Just being honest.

As of this review, the roof has been leaking for weeks, in multiple spots. There are tarps hanging over the team benches on field two, to catch the water leaking. The large open area between field 2 and 3 where people meet after games has a caution, slippery sign on the floor as water puddles in a 15 x 15 space. This is dangerous.Further, the light bulbs on the scoreboards dont even get replaced. So many are burnt out, you cant really know the score. This is for all three scoreboards! This is basic. The parking lot is a mine field of pot holes! That lot hasnt been paved in 10 years, at least. They dont even attempt to fill the holes. Add in the sidewalk that has multiple tripping hazards! For all the money theyre saving by not replacing light bulbs and having wet pavement, theyre gonna end up paying it out when they get sued for injury!

Even though the referees arent the best, i still very much enjoy playing here. 2 of the fields are in good condition other one not so much, all I would suggest is the concession stand be open more

This place has gone downhill in the last two years. Last year I had a problem with a worker and this year it was the manager. I see why people drive all the way to Detroit. Refs have been great. Just poor management/scheduling

This place is not well kept: the score boards always seem to have more pixels missing every game, the referees are awful, the staff will tell you one thing and then a week later tell you something completely different disqualifying a team just because it was being coached by the same coach as another team. They also seem to have a hard time salting the sidewalks.

Located on Jolly Road between Pennsylvania and Aurelius. Its a great place to watch your grandkids play soccer. There are three fields there. There are leagues. It is available for youth and adults. They also have a snack stand. There is plenty of free parking around the complex.

Management is terribly disorganized, has not returned messages to our coach. Divisions are not set up according to skill level, but what is convenient for scheduling. Being a community team matched up against travelling club teams does not benefit either party. We will never play another season here, it is a waste of time and money.

It smells so bad and the stench is coming from the bathroom. The sinks dont work in the womens bathroom. The place needs a paint job to cover up all the chipping paint. The past 4 years the snack bar has never been open for their Sunday games after 6. Most of the refs after about Christmas time dont really pay attention to the games when they do make calls they wont tell you what not to do if you ask they just card you for questioning them.On a positive note the field on 1 &2 do look good and the people at the desk are helpful

Its a pretty good facility, but it isnt run very well. Its disorganized, and the officials are often more interested in talking with the scorekeeper than the game.

S my mother used to be the secretary back in the late 90s....i used to spend all summer here. I also played on 3 teams every session growing up. Once old enough, I used to ref more that 30 games a week. Now fast forward to 2019....piss poor management, it is literally ran by people in their 20s that have no respect for customers the players every game every field there is a issue with the refs. Place is nice but the management and the refs are terrible. Hands down the worse company in the city of lansing. Not even one reply on their reviews because they know it is that bad....smh....pitiful new owners should be ashamed of themselves along with every employee that works there....UPDATELast game of session I was asked by a manager to speak with them after my Google review. I was told reason no one was answered all the complaints on Google was due to not being a verified business. He did state he just became manager and he has already gotten rid of about 1/3 of the referees as they were not up to par.He stated he is striving to make the buisness better, I will be returning next winter to play and hoping the place is better.I do appreciate the reach out by the manager and it does give me a good feeling the new manager is going to work hard to make soccerzone the soccerzone we all remember in the late 90s early 2000s

If you went to your local elementary school and grabbed the first group of third graders you could find and had them run this place...they would do a better job. To start...the facilities are horrible. The fields are in terrible shape and the place is super dusty. The refs are some of the worst I have ever played with in over 22 years of playing soccer. They have clear favoritism towards certain players and the teams that those players play on. Some of the refs dont even know the rules to soccer. The refs also play in the leagues that they are reffing which should not be happening. The management also allows players to play in multiple leagues that they should not be playing in. Top tier players should not be playing in the low leagues and dominating play. This is coed and should be fun for all skill levels. Allowing the inter-league play takes the whole breakdown of leagues reason and throws it out the window. Overall this place is a joke. The only reason to play here is to get a few touches on the ball during the winter months when no other options are available. If this was in a good climate, it would be out of business next week. I dont recommend to anyone unless you go into it knowing the refs are completely biased and you are doing it just for personal conditioning and touches.

We love soccerzone. My 8 yr old has played on a couple of house teams and always had lots of fun. The games move fast and its nice thats its only a one day commitment. As a spectator I love thats its indoors and give my son someplace to run off some energy in the winter. I wish they would announce the game schedules sooner or at least give you a time window beforehand.

I honestly loved playing here the first season. House team put together in a lower division. Won championship. Great time. Out of no where second season I was in division 5 and I was playing subs against division 1 players. They destroy me because clearly were not the same skill level. Season 3 I was asked to play by the team again I hesitated and played one game. Of course a player who plays in 6 divisions weekly destroys us and starts pulling shirts and such getting aggressive. Its coed it should be purely fun. The refs are all friends with certain players and let so much foul play happen with them. I should never see a girl get smashed into a wall by a man. It gets looked over so much. I went to Tony and asked for a refund and he told me no. Its a really piss poor ran place, way to much friend advantages and when a professional soccer player can play in division 1-6? Like come on. Have some rules set so everyone can enjoy. I suggest to anyone seeking to play just make a trailer park league and play outdoors because you dont get to enjoy the play at soccer zone.

A few friends and family members of mine belong to teams at Soccerzone and after every game they have something negative to say about the refs. Being a former soccer ref myself I did not think much of their complaints because I know it almost impossible to catch everything that happens during a game. However, once I actually attended a few games and watched I understood exactly what they were talking about. What I saw was complete favoritism for one team by the refs. It was extremely frustrating to watch and completely ruined the game for both the players and spectators. Soccerzone should make sure the refs understand the rules and the importance of being impartial before the let them officiate a game.

This is supposed to be a place where friends and strangers come together to play a competitive and fair game of soccer, but instead the refs are biased and officiate games in favor of their friends. This is unnacceptable and changes need to be made. I do not recommend this place.

If the referees dont respect themselves enough to wear an actual uniform, showing their patch for certification they shouldnt be surprised when parent dont treat them with respect or question their calls or lack there of. As a parent, I would pay more for the sessions so SoccerZone could afford to pay for better quality refs.

Review №46

I have played at soccerzone on and off for a few years now and it used to be fun. However, playing for the previous six months, the experience has severly decayed and become overly frustrating. Playing soccer is fun for me but when the refs stand at the side, call very one sided, and talk and make jokes with the other team, i feel the game has lost a lot of its fun. I understand the games are for fun but some seriousness and professionalism should be placed upon the reffing staff as this is their job. If you want a fun and fair experience, I suggest you look elsewhere.
