Was skeptical since it change over from Franks to Water Tower Cinema but it still maintains that down home atmosphere. Friendly staff. And last but definitely not least they are Very in tune with social distancing. I would highly recommend it for a enjoyable but safe day or night out.
This theater is probably the most clean facility I have been to (and I go to a bunch of movie theaters all the time). The staff is super friendly and I love all of the throwback films they are playing. Tickets are affordable as well as the food! It is also very spacious and has comfy seats! Nothing but positive comments for this Movie Theater.
This theater is awesome!!! Prices are much lower than other theaters . The staff members are always super nice to me. I go every week to catch a movie and I really enjoy the water tower theater!
This cinema is very nice! It’s within walking distance from my house, so my friends and I can walk here to see a movie. The seats are comfortable, and are well installed. The staff is very friendly as well. Would recommend for anyone in the area!
Phenomenal theatre and an affordable one too! Comfortable seats, clean facility, and the friendly staff is why I will come here regularly from now on. A better experience than some of the corporate theaters like Regal and AMC. Support local business owners!
The Theatre clean. Great prices for tickets. Good popcorn and drink special. Limited people allowed in each theatre so no concern with social distancing. Nice choice on movies.
If youre looking for a great movie experience, then the Water Tower Cinema is for you. Its never crowded, the staff is friendly and many times Ive gone, you almost ft like you in a private cinema. Go on out there and support the local cinema there for the community. Youll be glad you did !
I had a my daughter’s birthday party at Water Tower Cinema. I was slightly anxious to take responsibility Transporting so many young girls from the theater to the bathroom to the private party room but Sarah,Jess & Russell-the sales managers, were so friendly, accommodating and patient. The day of the party, all I had to bring was the cake and balloons. Everything was ready to go from the party room, to reserved seating signs in the theater and they strategically placed us in the theater near the restroom & party room. They assigned to us amazing helpers to assist in party happenings and they were cordial, attentive and extremely responsive to our needs. I felt Comfortable, safe and I was so impressed by cleanliness of the spaces, too! The kids and parents had an awesome time!! It was definitely a memorable experience and worth every penny. I highly recommend them!!!
Thank goodness for new ownership and a complete clean up. Saw Jaws during reopening week, after we went into the Green. Safety measures in place.
Completely upgraded lobby, concession counter, theaters, comfortable high-back seats and clean bathrooms. Very friendly and helpful staff. Party room for kids special events. Great movie selection. The manager was very approachable and appreciated our positive feedback. Our new favorite cinema!
Great movie theater. Locally owned . Comfortable new seats
I went here and will definitely go again. I am glad to see they have reopened. Everything looks good. The staff is pretty nice. The prices are very reasonable.
I miss this place, they really did a great job rebuilding. They even fixed the steps that were broken for years.Glad to see is was open again, and the people that work there are incredibly friendly, including one of the kids Brandon. Love that it is a hometown theater. And seats were comfy
I cant believe that This place is re- opened, this is EXACTLY what we need! It was clean, the young faces at the concessions stand were attentive and friendly, and the movie we wanted to see was playing, Knives Out- which was only being featured a ways away, no way we wanted to drive out anywhere that ads tome to the sitter- so every movie that we were considering was available to pick from! This is the newest Gem that everyone should come out to see for themselves. My fan destination for movies now hands down! There were more movies to choose from and more time options and for my husband and I thats what attracted us to come here, now that we know just how neat this tucked away neighborhood theatre is, why would we go anywhere else?Even spoke to the management afterwards and the fine folks here are tied to the Formerly know Franks theatre that was once here, how cool to keep this in the community and bring it back to life! Cant wait to have a party here and see what comes next in the theatre
The new theater looks Great and the new chairs are very comfortable. The only thing is: Making reservations on line was difficult. When I kept going back in to see what seats I had, it kept saying the theater was already full. But when we got there, there only one other couple there. The people behind the counter were gracious though and let us in. I think they have too many chiefs, and not enough indians. They should take note from the Grand Theater up in East Greenville. They have $3.00 movies, and fine childrens movies. At the Grand, you get a whole tub of popcorn for $3.00,
Nice to see someone buy the theatre and put money into it and hire staff/managers that care, are friendly, and proud. Plus the prices are better then other theatres. You pay more for electronic seats yet they replaced the chairs. Although not as technologically advanced, more comfortable. Also 10-15 minutes of previews versus the AMC which has over 30 minutes of previews. Was just there 1.22.2020 and had a great experience. Reminder to all TURN YOUR CELL PHONES OFF, including the annoying shining screens. Pathetic if you cant be on phone for an hour and half. Water Tower please put reminder on screen and check the theatres during movies- throw out ignorant people and you will see even more people patronize your theatre.
I went to Franks Theater when I was a kid. Left for 12 yrs, came back, went to a movie & Franks was exactly the same. It was in dire need of a renovation & thats what it got! New, red, leather seats, better screens, lobby renovation, but same feel as back in the day. I like the renovated Water Tower Cinema. Just waiting for the bar. Some nice Wednesday deals.
So happy that they are open again. The prices are good and the refreshments are reasonably priced. The new seats are comfortable and the employees are friendly. We have been there about three times since it reopened.
Loved it here ...the price was good for the movie itself .. seating was comfortable.
We love seeing classics on the big screen, and the price is right!
Fun, inexpensive, just a cool place to watch movies with a great vibe.
Been going to this theater since I was a kid. Looking forward to taking my own children there soon. Great seating upgrades, same fair prices and friendly people. Keep it going!
Great remodel and movie selections. Glad they reopened and rebranded (formerly Franks).
Yes, they have updated the decor in the common area, painted large numbers so the theaters are easier to find and the seats were comfortable. However....theater 2, as of January 22, 2020, still has a very strong mildew smell that several people commented on upon entering the theater. Not the most enjoyable thing to smell throughout the movie!
The old Franks Theater has been renewed.New paint, seats and carpets.Dont get me wrong I liked the Franks but I must say this is a GIANT improvementNow all they need to do is bring back the $6 Tuesdays for us old folks the $2.50 pop corn and Ill be all set.Oh I did go see Midway there last week the guy that played Adm. Nimitz wasnt very good, but I like the movie.
Cute little place with friendly employees!
Nice renovations and cool low-key family theatre
Unfortunately in this day and age, you can’t buy tickets to a theater that doesn’t do reserve seating. Water Tower Cinema doesn’t provide that basic service and that means with any big release, unless you are there early in line, your seats could be limited, making it tough to go to the movies with children, difficult to go to the concession stand without fear of a seat being taken and creating an unpleasant movie going experience. I hope this feature gets added soon and I can give this place an actual try..
Newly renovated, family theater. Great place to see a movie at a theater with a community feel. I went on opening weekend and really enjoyed seeing all the new renovations - and the new seats were super comfortable!
Beautifully renovated theater, with a small-town feel. Loved the experience and cannot wait to go again! They also have a super cool machine for customers to put their own butter on popcorn, which was fun!
Nice Cinema the old Franks is now Water Tower Cinema. Painted, New carpets and great New seats. Saw Little Women - good. $9.00 per ticket. Located in Montgomertville. We will go there again.
Went to check it out since they reopened and claimed to be renovated. Unfortunately, the renovation is really just paint and new carpets in the lobby. The carpet in the theatres wasnt even replaced and the sound system wasnt updated. I was really hoping for a closer to home option for going to the movies, but with way nicer options that arent that much farther away, I doubt Ill be going much. Its especially disappointing that with all it was lacking, its not even cheaper than the other options. It was very underwhelming and I was really hoping for better.
Great job on the Reno. Seats are comfortable enough space to stretch out. Clean, staff very polite. Thanks.
Really happy this theater reopened. The new seating is very comfortable and roomy and the movie selections are good.
Awesome make overStaff is very friendlySo glad they open this theater back up its the BEST one in town.
Glad their back . Really good popcorn . NOT glad (but not surprised) prices have risen substantially
Great place, super clean, friendly staff.
Awesome new digs, very comfortable. And $9 a ticket cant beat that
Drove about an hour for the opportunity to see The Irishman in a theater. Very cool theater with a friendly hometown feel.
So glad there is a local movie place. Very friendly staff with new seats. Great concession stand.
Its nice to see it open again. The fact that the theaters have a lot of seating. The other theaters have the big chairs that limit, an you have to take what is left, because of reserved seating.
Wonderful to see this theater open! Great time at Frozen 2! Theater looks great!
A brand new theater to go watch a movie. Everything is fresh and luxurious. Plenty of space to relax and bring the family or freinds on datenight. See the latest films at this location and be mesmerized by awesomeness with huge screens and the latest technology in movie watching.
Water Tower Cinema has very comfortable seating - very nice updates they have made to their eight theatres, we would definitely return to see a movie there!
Great local theater. Good prices, recent movies, friendly staff, and comfortable new seating.
Love the renovations at the theater including the new paint colors, carpeting, concessions and seating. So happy to have a family theater back for the community and not have to reserve my seat online.
Locally owned! Friendly staff! Reasonably priced! Comfortable seating!
Very happy the theater is open again, good popcorn and comfy seats.
Now is not the time to go to the movies. This place should not be open.
Great place to see a movie. The price is right.
A HUGE improvement over Franks, and very nice staff.
Friendly people reasonable price.I like to see adiff
Old theater but not in bad shape. Could be a little cleaner but not to bad inside. Gave it 5 stars for the Tuesday Price of 6 dollars for a movie and discount on popcorn. Staff was friendly and helpful. Would definitely go there again especially on Tuesday.
The seats were very Comfortable .
Excellent value.
Cheaper and not crowded (actually empty on the Sunday we went). Could be a little cleaner, but its acceptable. If you have small kids like I do (3yo), bring something to hold the seat down for them so it doesnt keep springing back up.
Clean, friendly staff, good popcorn.
Had a wonderful time with my grandkids, ages 5 and 7 watching Transylvania 3. Had the theater pretty much to ourselves. Would have rated a 5, but its a little old & musty- but I can live with that. Customer service was great.
Kind of messy. Bathrooms needed upkeep and all areas needed vacuuming.
I would give them 0 stars if I could. I booked tickets online 2 days before New Years eve. We arrived in the evening for the show only to find the theater closed down. Why did you take my money for the 4 tickets if you were closing your doors? You could have at least notified those of us that prepaid that you wouldnt be able to honor the tickets. I would like someone from your corporate office to contact me about refunding my money and compensation for the ruined New Years eve plans.
This is my family’s favorite movie theater great place, great popcorn, and great staff especially that Tony kid super friendly and awesome he definitely deserves a raise! And anyone who disrespects this place is a hater no cap
Always good experiences with friends and family.
On February 26, 2020 I revisited the Water Tower Cinema. Now that it has been remodeled the seats are very nice. The staff was great! They offered to take my drink and popcorn to my seat for me. I was using a walker to get around. Very nice place. I will be back!. Call Of The Wild is a very good movie.
The bathrooms need to be fixed Mens yarnil are too close they need a divider Its nothing like having a persons piss coming off to your and on splashing at you
That place is the best they have very clean and nice theaters there and nice workers and every Tuesday it is 6$ for movies. The only thing I would fix would be the bathrooms. But other then that I would highly recommend that movie theater.
BEAUTIFUL AND AMAZING AS ALWAYS
Quaint place to take in a flick.
Just found out about cheap tuesday! $6.00! Loved it! It was a good. And medium pop for 2.50! Good save! Yes early but when you nights or early mornings. Its a great save!! Glad i went.
This is my favorite movie theater in the area. Tight wad Tuesday is the best deal. 6 bucks all day for movies and 2.50 medium popcorn. Before 12 the movies are 6 bucks. Such a deal. I bought the refillable popcorn bucket the last time we went. Its 4.50 to refill. I think it was 12 or 13 for the bucket. Kids seats which are very handy. Clean bathrooms.
Nice redo of an older cinema.
The prices are great, but its in need of a deep cleaning. A lot of the theaters smell kind of gross. Maybe if they hired one or two more people to clean throughout the day it would make it the place to be.
Havent been here in ages, always went to Regal. First time back tonight. The staff here are super friendly and you cant beat the prices. A lot cheaper than Regal. I think Ill be coming back more often.
I love this place. The staff is a bunch of young whipper snappers and i periodically bring them pizza rolls. The customer service was wait for it... out of this world. i once left a money clip full of Benjamins behind and you know what they did, they gave it back to me without even counting the money, and the one time they let me eat toast, God Bless :)
Great place to watch movies and to teach your kid how to drive in there parking lot.
You may think “This place is empty, they must be doing something poorly.” I think “This place is empty, that means I get to watch the movie by myself in the theater.” And that’s the difference between an optimist and a pessimist, my friend. Extra note: I’ve never had a problem with service, and the prices are cheaper. Give it a shot.
One of my favorite theaters. Good ticket prices. No frills but a nice theater. Signage on the main road would be helpful!
Thank you for opening a theater here again!! So glad to be back!
Solid theater with a wide variety of movies playing. Self-serve butter which is dangerously amazing. Could use an upgrade, especially considering the closest competition just reopened, bit overall its still perfectly acceptable for a good time.
They have good movies
This is an old movie theater. The pricing is well and the popcorn is great. This is perfect place for a family or even a date. Ive been here a number of times. I highly recommend going here.
Nice place but as of January 2019, seems to be closed with no indication of opening any time soon, if ever. Oh well.
Theater is nice, they have some good deals advertised. There wasnt a wait for a matinee on a Sunday so that was good. No problems, the refillable popcorn bucket is a good idea.
Nice theaters inside, clean, and counter staff is friendly. Its understandable that ushers use flashlights to help people find seats, but too many of them flash the beam straight in your eyes while youre sitting in your seat and they dont lower it. Very annoying. Other than that a very nice experience.
It was amazing but its closed now... the next closest venue is the AMC 309 or regal warrington
Decent theater but its an old building and needs updating. The theater rooms are fairly small and do not have reclining seats or assigned seating. They do have discounted tickets and popcorn on Tuesdays though.
This theater is great on “ Tightwad Tuesday’s”. Movies are just $6 and popcorn just $2.50 on Tuesday. The seats are comfy, with cup holders, and the staff is nice. Today they were out of butter for the popcorn, and the crane machine to get a rubber duckie was broken.
The place is a pit and the bathrooms are usually nasty but its somewhat cheaper to take the kids to see a movie there. I think its possibly run by teenagers as I dont think ive ever seen an adult running anything there in years. Staff is usually really cool and nice tho. Work on those bathrooms guys!
For a place as large as a theater, the building can be a bit tricky to find, and when you do, there is a noticeable lack of signage. Ive been here a few times, and its been a ghost town. I realize that as someone who prefers early movies and avoids new releases, I am not seeing the place at its peak, but I have been the only patron in the theater more than once. The last two times I went, the floors in the lobby were sticky and the bathrooms smelled terrible. The seats were comfortable, but the chairs were squeaky - a problem exacerbated once by a rude patron who aggressively rocked his seat for the entire movie. I am a fan of movie popcorn, and each time Ive been here, Ive been disappointed with stale, room-temperature popcorn. I did bring it to the employees attention on my last visit, but was told that the popcorn was fresh - however it was sitting in a big pile that sure didnt look freshly made. Its not a bad theater, and given how convenient it is to my home, I will keep returning when I dont want to drive further, but this place is in bad need of a makeover. Competition is going to become stiffer as the next closest theater is currently closed for a major renovation and will become the preferred choice for many people in the neat future. Montgomeryville deserves a great theater; I hope the owners are able to improve!
Clean theater, great service
Inexpensive tix and very friendly personnel. The theatre shows some age, and thats fine, but the theatre where our movie screened had a strong smell of mold.Still, we enjoyed The Last Jedi in a theatre very much like the one in which i saw the *original* trilogy.
Great Service, Great people, and a Great theatre. I come in almost every week because Im lonely but they make me feel like family. Everytime I had a problem they helped me through it, their staff was wonderful especially the dashing young man named Matt Kieth he was outstandingly handsome lolz. 10/10 would recommend love these people almost as much as I love hanging out with my cat, shoutout to Mr. Whiskers (0_0)
Movie was good but the theater seems to be more rundown than 2 years ago. Bathroom smelled like urine 50ft from the bathroom and you could smell it in the hallway where you get popcorn. funk spreads into theaters and then floor was sticky and chairs so old you didnt know if you were gonna break them or get stuck to them. Sad times I guess as this used to be my favorite theater.
Seemed very clean.
Lovely! And good popcorn!
Convenient, pleasant, not as fancy as some other nearby movie theaters, but you cant beat their bargain Tuesdays!
Great prices and a great theater. And very clean/enjoyable every time ive been here. Been going here for years for my movie going times!
I was able to see a movie for the reasonable price of $8.50. But the building is kinda shabby. Susan pointed out the steps in & oit are rather steep. If environment & technology matter to you, then this place might stink out loud. But if you dont care and just want ro see a movie, then jump on in.
