Rising Park

Sixth time hiking up Mt Pleasant with Jason. Breath taking views at the top. Half way up mountain we saw a six point buck and a doe. Not afraid of people. Great exercise.

Love the park, very beautiful and tranquil. The view from the top is simply breathtaking! The park also has an elegant shelter that would be perfect for events.

What a beautiful space! Nice lake when you come into the park, and plenty of park space. Take the walk to the overlook to see a great view of the city/horizon. The overlook is NOT handicap accessible, and its a bit of a walk to it, but dont let that keep you from heading up!

I really like this place. The view from the top is breathtaking. Whole lancaster city can be seen from there.

Impromptu family gathering in a park shelter. It was a good time for the family. Shelter was clean and well kept. The park was full of people enjoying themselves. Grandparents, parents, kids, aunts, uncles, friends all out in the park enjoying each others company. Beautiful time.

It is very nice there I use to take my grandchildren when they were. Little and they love it.

The water was clean, and there was no garbage on the ground. The park is very safe for pets, however I recommend keeping them on a leash if you plan on taking them up Mt. Pleasant.

Large park for kids in the shade... there is a pond with ducks and a gazebo.Tennis courts in the middle near the road as well. The play sets could use some TLC..AKA Maintenance..But overall a nice park.

I LOVE this park. I try to spend time here every time I visit Ohio. Beautifully maintained, very natural all resulting in a relaxing experience.

Absolutely beautiful. Lots to do and look at. It has some wonderful scenery. Very enjoyable even this cold out.

Great short hike but a step uphill do be ready.

The walk to the top was a steep incline on a rocky path, but the view was gorgeous!

Was very clean. Went for our uncles birthday party, plenty of room for our friends and family to enjoy the outdoors.

My family loves this park! Theres the kid friendly hike to a view, the pond with fish and ducks, a great playground and tennis courts! So much to do.

Beautiful Park! Well kept and clean. Huge amounts of seating!! Fishing is also available. Only real complaint would be that the parking area is in need of repair. Theres ample amount of parking... but some really large pot holes.

With rising expectations for parks, its nice to find a gem like this one. Well kept and plenty of activities to keep you busy. Surrounded by some of the nicest homes in town. If you gave this park one star, it would really get a rise out of me.

What a view at Rising Park. A great getaway from the city. If youre up for great hike and a breathtaking view Rising Park is the place to go. Be prepared for a steep hike if you want to see the view over Lancaster. You may want a walking stick. The pond at the park is very clean and you can fish. It is a catch and release only. There are plenty of places for a picnic and there are shelters as well.

Jam packed great time with the entire family. Hike up to the bluff and look over the town, fish the pond, play on the playground, frisbee on the lawn. Solid day.

Nice little spot with an beautiful overlook view of Lancaster. On a clear day you can see the Columbus Skyline in the distance.

Easy trails, plenty of lawn space for picnic or just enjoying. Great views from the top. Beautiful tennis courts, nice lake, some parking but can easily fill up.

Great Experience except for the Porta Potty located near the playground, which was absolutely disgusting! Please clean more regularly.

First time visitor, and very impressed! So many walking paths, shady tree areas and the pond is so serene. Will definitely seek it out in the future. Great place for family outings!

One of the nearest city parks you can visit. Lots of areas to explore, shelter houses and a nice playground! The best part is Mt. Pleasant and to see the view of Lancaster is incredible!It would be nice if the Parks Dept. actually opened the restrooms.

We love doing picnics and hikes at Rising Park. It has great playscapes, nice trails and beautiful views. Be aware that the trail that leads to the top of Mount Pleasant is twisty and there are no guard rails. So if you plan to take young kids for a hike be careful not let them get too far ahead of you. The view is great but the drop off is very dangerous.

It is really small park but Beautiful views from top of the cliff.

This is the best view of the town below! You must be ready to hike up a steep hill for 10 minutes though. Its worth the hike to get this view!

Just a nice park to visit. One heck of a view from the summit of the sandstone rock.

This park is very beautifully landscaped for all family members to enjoy. The trail although a little steep is pleasing to the eyes and the view when we finally got to the top is totally worth the climb. I am definitely repeating this one.

Love this spot. Great for a leisure hike with kids for connection. Many people seen hiking up and down for fitness. Such a view found no where else in the vicinity.

The Lancaster Parks and Recreation is a wonderful community resource! There are several great parks and facilities offered but this is my favorite. Clean, centrally located, can accommodate several needs for larger groups, has beautiful green space, solid and safe facilities, some have water and electric and minimal fees. You MUST schedule ahead, like in January for your year. You might get extra visitors. (people and animals)It is so beautiful for pictures and nature speaks out loud here.This park has a wonderful childrens play area, ponds, a look out mountain to hike, geese/ducks to feed, tennis courts, multiple shelter houses and picnic tables. There is adequate, well-serviced green space & parking areas. I enjoy the rolling landscape here. Closes at dark! Office staff is easy to talk with and schedule. Will be back!

Its a nice country setting in the outskirts of town. It provides fun for the children, space for a picnic and a mountain for a family hike, as well as a pond to fish in.

My son would stay here from sun up to sun down if he could. Its beautiful, peaceful and relaxing.

Rising Park is a very pleasant place, you can just relax, walk, or visit. We like to get some food and go to the park to eat. It is a great place just to enjoy nature.

This is a great park, they have something for everyone. They have tennis courts, horseshoe pit, a nice playground, fishing, and of course the view from top of the mountain is awesome.

Very hard hike not for the old persons unless they are healthy. When you get to the top you get a great view of the city of Lancaster

This is a cool place especially the mountain but they don’t really take care of the pond there was a couple dead fish floating and it didn’t smell to good but the playground is nice and the picnic area was a good

What a beautiful little hike that leads to an amazing view. We had the place to ourselves this morning. Its definitely worth the time to check this place out. The park also has a playground pond and tennis courts

The view here is amazing everyone is always so polite its like home away from home.

This Park is for kids and adults. Lancaster has created a great place to have play dates at the park or a hike for your workout. The emerald fishing pond has benches to relax on and enjoy the views. The tennis courts and walking paths add to the activities offered. If you reach the top of the trail, you are rewarded with a panoramic view of Lancasters town and surrounding area. Did I mention the deer? Local wild life are teaming in the area.

A great short hike to a wonderful view, not to hard but definitely up hill, so be ready for that.

Beautiful place, its shameful how much graffiti and how many names are etched into the rocks though.

It’s a steep hike all the way up, but once you get to top... it’s extremely rewarding. It would be a beautiful place to watch the sun set/rise.

Beautiful place to just relax and unwind!

Wish we had one like that close to Columbus, too flat there! This nice little hill is a cool quick climb with nice sunset views, one can see Columbus from there on a clear day. U can do a few runs up and down this natural hill to workout glutes and heart instead of compromising on the stairs of your local statium

Fun, a lot to do for all and your dog. Climb the mountain. Fish in the pond, play tennis, swings and slide, picnic in shelters, play touch football, badmitton, walk around the pound, good for photography, relax and sit in the gazebo, just sit and enjoy the peace of the trees, the pond and the setting. Lovely park.

Steep climb to top...but view was spectacular

If u can climb clear to the top then its great.Also a lot of wild things grow there.I always see deer too
