We saw Peter Noonan and Hermans Hermits October 6, 2018. The theater is a beautifully restored classic from the 20s and is a treat for the eyes. The show was great too! Another hidden gem in New Jersey!

This place is not only a historic and beautiful place. It has so many memories for me personally. Ive performed here countless times and have seen many shows over the past 15 years. This theatre is a beautiful old gem.

Went to see The Nutcracker by the Atlantic City Ballet and it was a great experience. There was a live orchestra providing the music which added to the quality of the performance. The was also a bar and concession stand that you could utilize during the intermission. The building is an amazing example of early 20th century architecture and design. There is plenty of parking across the street. I highly recommend a visit to this historic theater. You will not be disappointed.

This is staple of the culture in Ocean County.... in fact... it may be only one of two or three staples of culture. I love going to this place because it sort of takes you back in time to an era of finer things. I enjoy going into town when they have shows on Saturday too because its great to see the Jewish families walking together and having committed family time on their Shabbos.

I saw the final run of Be More Chill here and OH MY GOD was it awesome. The theater was super cozy, the cast was sweet, and all in all Id totally go back.

Very pretty and didnt seem to be a bad seat in the house. The ushers were helpful to the point of redundancy. Getting in and out was pretty painless. The sound quality was great. I would definitely return.

The actors were very professional, played their parts fabulously. Overall the plays were fabulous. 10/10 would recommend if you are a calm person that has proper theater edicate.

Great tribute shows here. A hidden gem in Ocean County to see great shoes. Small intimate venue with very good acoustics. Easy to purchase tickets with great staff and volunteers.Might regret leaving this review, dont want shoes to sell out before I get my tickets.

The history of the building and all of the wonderful actors on stage showed me what piece of intimacy we are missing now a days.

Nice theater, comfortable seats. The show we attended was well put together with about 10 acts playing Woodstock type music. Had a good time - I recommend a visit to this classic theater - you wont be disappointed.

The renovated Strand Theatre is a work of art!I attended a Senior matinee performance of Legally Blonde! What a performance by high school actors. The matinee also included a lovely lunch prepated by high school students in the culinary program. Thank you Strand Theatre!

It was my first time going to the theater I went to see Tavares and Harold Melvins Blue Notes . Pretty nice Old Theater. Didnt look like a bad seat in the house.

Watched legally blonde it was fantastic. The cast put on a marvelous show. The Strand. Theater was cozy.

We love going here. The tickets are the right price. Never saw a bad show. Nice area to have a drink before the show. Snack bar with some snacks.

Very classic music hall/theater, with great sound for tribute bands Fast Lane (Eagles) and Southern Steel (Lynard Skynard). Totally enjoyed the concert.

Theater is immaculate and well maintained. All seats are good. The OC Performing Arts Academy is well rehearsed, talented and professional. This includes the orchestra and the crew. Great Show!

Such a beautiful theater in down town Lakewood, NJ.

Would give more if the bathroom didnt smell like a butt bomb went off. Had more entertainment observing peoples expressions upon returning from the war on their noses.Edit: Okay, I can an extra star for the good seats, reasonable prices, and having a good sense of class with Statler and Waldorf on the balcony.

Great theater, but getting to it is nearly impossible. There isnt any parking lot, and depending on the show you are going to, the parking on the side of streets is normally full

We are a membership to the Strand Theater, theyre wonderful people there that work there and they contribute to an awful lot of people and it is so well worth going to see whoever they have there. Great place to go!

Saw Be More Chill here; it was a very nice, open, and classy looking theater, and every seat was an excellent seat.

This is an outstanding place to watch a show or play or ceremony. It is very fancy and organized, and is very well kept. I never see trash or messes here, which makes it a very nice and fancy place to watch a show on stage.

Love The Strand. Saw Almost Queen tonite who were fantastic as usual. Not enough balloons at the end! What happened?

I was surprised, I wasnt expecting so much talent. I was born in the 60s and I didnt know these bands, only heard a couple of their songs. I came to see Gary Pucket and the union gap because my older brother had the vinyls and I grew listening to them. But I was very surprised with so much talent

Gorgeous historic theatre. Seats about a thousand. Very deep, not tall, which isnt great if youre all the way in the back.
