They offer Mothers Day brunch. It was very well done, not crowded and they even had a jumper for the kids. Would highly recommend coming here.

Lakewood is always a great place to play golf. Id give them 5 stars except the greens had recently been punched. I had a hamburger after golf that was excellent. It has an old clubhouse but the lunch area is recently modernized.

Have always loved playing this long course, stay in pretty good shape for the play it gets.

The food at the group lunch was way overpriced and at best mediocre, with fatty beef and gloppy-sauced chicken breast in minuscule portions. The cheesecake was served still-frozen and the chocolate cake looked leaden. Only the mixed vegetables, toast potatoes and fresh fruit were any good. Give their dining room a miss; for what they charge you can eat well elsewhere.

Horrible greens. Not just punched but big groove were created (faulty equipment)!

Great course and practice facilities. Has two putting greens and a dedicated chipping green. Remodeled bar/restaurant has excellent food and service.

Very nice track greens were super fast. Great time on the course. But you must check out the bar afterwards you wont be disappointed.

It took 5 hours on a Thursday. Green and tee box was in good shape but fairways were very hard and unkempt in many areas. Pretty slow round for what we thought was gonna be a quick round

All golfers wanting a great challenge on a good golf course in great condition hurry up and get a tee time and play ASAP. Play was slow as usual buy it is worth it because of the condition of the course. The redone clubhouse is good the food is better patty melt was good with fries...

Love the venue! Staff were quick and attentive! We had private brunch for our Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity Incorporated and Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Incorporated Joint Founders Day celebration. Food was hot and fresh! Restrooms were clean and easily accessible for our guest. AV system was excellent! Our attendees had a ball! Thank you for such great service!

Great parkland course, usually in good shape with faster than most greens. This course gets a ton of play, always busy and 5 hour rounds are the norm. They do a good job keeping the tees with grass, better than most of so. cal munis. Green side bunkers are hit and miss with sand consistency, a most fareway bunkers are hard pan. The staff is always good, the practice facility is nice. Two putting greens and a pitching/chipping green with bunker practice area.

Great golf course, level tee boxes, green fairways, nicely trimmed roughs, true greens. Only down side is POP...5 hours to finish 18 is very long in my opinion. But again that can be differently thought by another person. If POP is less than an hour then this is the course to be.

Fun course but not enough sand in bunkers, sometimes over watered and can take over 5 hours to play later in the day.

Fun course typical of the area. Probably the slowest of all Long Beach area courses. Expect six hours if youre off more than an hour after sunrise.

Great course. Sometimes slow golfers make the game very boring. Need more Marshalls controlling the holes when it gets backed up.

Good city course

Great track but it is always busy and the conditions are not the best. One of my favorite layouts in the LA area but the people that play here are very disrespectful. They will not call there Fore or they will steal your ball. The pace of play is too long for me. I have played this course a handful of times and there was only one time in which I finished in 4.5 hours. Every other time it is close to a 6 hour round.

Fun and enjoying with reasonable prices

Not too bad of a course. Could use some more grass in quite a few fairway areas and freshen up the bunkers with some sand, but not bad for a muni course.

I played Saturday afternoon. It took 5 hrs and 20 mins to finish, first few holes were very slow after 3rd hole it was okay. Course was well maintained but green was too soft and slow, my buddy explained it was because of much rain in these days. Food was very nice. Green fee reasonable with internet price.

Had a beautiful day at the Lakewood Country Club. Had breakfast first in the restaurant. Small but sufficient and the waitress was the sweetest, accommodating, and quick. She was working alone, as the hostess, cashier, waitress, and bartender. It was a lovely day, with table outside. I was able to see the greens but couldnt tell from my vantage, which hole.

AWFUL, NO NEED TO GO BACK!!!3 HRS 15 MINS...9 HOLES!!!! TRIED TO GET MONEY BACK SINCE WE ONLY PLAYED 9....SORRY SHE SAYS WE DONT HAVE A 9 HOLE RATE! AHHH...OK!!! WONT SEE US AGAIN, MORE THAN ENOUGH OTHER PLACES TO PLAY AND NOT SPEND THE WHOLE DAY!!!!

Challenging but not too difficult.

Found out Im actually pretty good at golf.

The rate was booked on GolfZing and was a very price and included the cart. The greens were a little bumpy. Overall the round was played in just over four hours and it was a very good way to ring in the new year.

I think it is one of good public golf course.
