I have been in the house since March 2020 meaning only stores and day trips. This past week I knew I had to get away for my own mental health. I choose this wonderful place after only a few minutes of reading other reviews. I choose a King with Lakeview and balcony. I have zero regrets! After 2 nights of retreat time just for me I feel refreshed. The view is amazing. The lake view is so peaceful and I had a room with a babbling brook that could be heard while I slept! The restaurant is only a few steps away, I ordered breakfast to go and ate on the patio. I toured the site and sat in area near the back porch and had the place all to myself. Staff friendly and check in and check out through an app so totally touchless process. I felt safe, I felt happy and free. I will return to this safe haven sooner than later!!
We had such a great nights stay. We decided to get away for the weekend before my husband left for deployment. We had a room with a beautiful view of the lake. We had dinner and breakfast at the restaurant and it was delicious. We will be returning in the summer to enjoy all this place has to offer.
Everything was wonderful at the resort, the bed smelled a little weird and had some stains.
The room had a funny smell, carpet was dirty, there was a pillow that was dirty and ceiling had mold. Made it real uncomfortable to be in the room. The pool was fun and the food was great.
We did not have a poor experience at Lakeway Resort, but it was not the experience we expected and the fact there were two vehicle break-ins within a week, no security in sight and a complacent approach to addressing vehicle break-ins was concerning.Pros:-Great view-Plenty of COVID-19 measures in place-Gym was exceptional-Balconies offer privacyCon:-Upon returning on our second night, we noticed glass on the ground. When we spoke to the front desk attendant, we were informed that there had been two vehicle break-ins within a week. That is concerning, but what was more concerning was the fact that I never saw security in the parking lot or on the premises, an indication that they had not changed their security posture to address this issue.-No smart TV. Although petty, for a location which is so secluded and has limited amenities, this is critical.-Gym hours are restrictive. 8am-8pm-Pool did not open until 11 on one of the days I was there.-Hotel is very out of the way.-Restaurant feels like a low budget beachside restaurant.
Beautiful resort with amazing views. The people at the front desk were amazing. Elise was super helpful. We will definitely be coming back again.
Stayed about 2 years ago during thanksgiving. I woke up early before my husband - I was looking at the lake as the sun was coming up. I noticed a big black panther climbing down from a tree down below.I was incomplete shock. It was a moment I wished I had my phone. Always wonder if anyone else seen this huge black massive cat.
Took a couple of days getaway from life and went to a place to enjoy and relax. Everything was so clean and nice. Got a room with a view and sat out side at the end of the day and had coffee and enjoy the weather and the view. A very relaxing place to unwind and enjoy some peace and quiet. They also have a restaurant on site but have already written a review on it. Highly recommended.
Great resort. Very clean, social distancing enforced and gorgeous view!
Resort should not be in their nameIf you wanna stay Close to the lake or the marina I would recommend this hotel, Service is OK I would eat breakfast and lunch outside the hotel, you wanna have your own activity outside the hotel, we used the hotel just to stay near the lake.
This place used to be awesome! Now. Not so much. Everything needs an upgrade. The prices have actually increased since we started going, and definitely not worth it. If you’re cutting back on the amenities and the times you can use them, you shouldn’t be charging outrageous prices for a substandard resort. Our lake view room was blocked by a tree. The adult swimming pools and hot tub needs cleaning. It looks disgusting, and with everything going on you would think you wouldn’t have to tell them that. The rooms aren’t being serviced right now, which I understand...but can you offer clean towels, and come pick up all the trash that people leave outside the rooms? Which leads me to my next concern. Roaches!!!! I found two roaches crawling around in the drawers. No ma’am. Will not be returning.
We booked 2 nights to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We were “upgraded” to a lake view balcony with “complimentary” late check out at noon instead of 11am. When we got there, it did not appear as of occupancy percentage limits due to Covid-19 were being followed, and that masks were being required by all guests in public spaces like elevators. I witnessed one woman try to use her To-go coffee cup to cover her mouth as her face covering. That was distressing. I will say that the staff appeared to be masked and there were hand sanitation stations provided, but not all of them were operational. The family in the room next to ours was not supervising their children who were tossing beer cans from the previous night’s partying off the balcony at the wildlife below. Some of the children were also trying to hang over the railing. I eventually got fed up enough with the liability and distraction of all that to call the front desk. They asked if we wanted to be moved down the hall, and we did that. The second night was a lot quieter for us. The pool was pretty packed on Saturday afternoon, and there were still buckets from bottle service left out by the pool the next morning. I appreciated that the wait staff at the restaurant on site followed socially distanced seating arrangements, mask/glove wearing, and visible sanitation of high touch areas. The reservation process was easy with the open key app. It may have been a Covid thing, but this “resort/spa” didn’t have robes.
Im changing my review due to the ridiculous prices at the pool. 6 cans of Dos equis which cost $9.99 at any store cost me $45. Your not a loud to bring coolers with your own so theres no choice for drinks. The bar tender said $36 I paid and left shocked at that price to then find they took $45. When I went back and asked they said there is a %15 pool tab fee. I would like to mention, I was not informed or aware of this and when I went back to ask they showed me the slip I should of signed. Which I did not, the form said it had to be signed in order to agree to this yet I never signed and they still took the money. $9.99 really how much profit does someone need to make. On a positive note, make sure you say hi to the beautiful little dog who sits at the front desk. And as for the view, pay the extra for the lake view its money well spent watching the sunset. If youre not able to get a room with a lake view, sit out on the terrace which over looks the lake.
Beautiful room and lake view from the room .there is no microwave in the room very helpful staff
Very relaxing spot for a weekend getaway. The staff are great. The rooms are spacious and Lakeview is the only way to go.
Stayed for 3 nights over the weekend with the family. It’s a beautiful property, and it is very impressive that most places within the hotel face the lake. The pool area is very nicely done and has a good separation between the kids and adults area. That being said, the property is fairly dated and the rooms can really use an upgrade. Also, I understand that there are limited service during COVID, but the room was not properly cleaned upon check in. Finally, the service was a hit or a miss. Hope they can make some improvements.
We came for a day from San Antonio on a cloudy and beautiful day. We got a room with the Balcony. Shelby greeted us in the front. Very professional and detailed. Our room had a beautiful view. We went to the bar and the bartender (believe his name was Justin) was very welcoming and fun. Last day for the bar being opened per the Epidemic. Even through everything going on the care and cleanliness was noticed on our Stay. Will return in the future. Recommended.
Agree with other posts. I wouldn’t rate this a 4 or 5 star. It is not as clean as it should be in the hotel rooms, pool or even the Travis restaurant. Our newly entered room has some sand rocks near the closet. The bathroom is certainly dated. The doors to the rooms have grease streaks and damages. The table we had at TR restaurant looked dirty and worn. The servers gloves looked dirty and old as if he used the same pair of gloves his entire shift. Seems unsanitary given Covid19. If his gloves have food or grease, they should be switched for new ones. The three pools this place boasts about is really one pool with three levels, a small kid friendly pool, and a small family friendly pool. I would say this is more like a slightly glorified Holiday Inn except Holiday Inn is cleaner.
Friendly service, phenomenal views. Hot tub looked like it had been out of service for weeks. I own an AirBnB, and I have to credit guests $100/night when this happens. Half of the pool lights were out, so the pool is dark after the sun goes down. Restaurant food was overpriced. Rooms are dated with popcorn ceilings and yellowing paint. Asked for a late check out on a Monday because the kids are in virtual school (place mostly empty), and the best they could do was noon. All in all, I think you’re paying for the views.
They upgraded us to a lake view at no extra cost for our honeymoon! Wonderful resort with breath taking views! Highly recommend it!
Clean, a little away from Austin but worth the money. The pool area had enough space for people to sit and hangout without being close to eachother. Everyone has to wear a mask . The only thing I would wish is having more food options around the hotel. But overall also located close to a boat and rental place
I would love to give this hotel a 5 star but it was falsely adverting its amenities. The only thing that was open was the pool and of course I understand that due to COVID a lot of things were going to be different however there website was so misleading. The spa was completely closed and all in room services were canceled. The only thing going for this hotel was the view. The restaurant was so over priced and the food was bland would not recommend at all. However some of the surrounding restaurants were great and good price. The rooms were clean however there was a lot of rust in the restroom, as well as the towels having stains. But those were exchanged accordingly once requested for new ones. Please do your research or call every hotel to make sure what amenities are accessible and open for use.
The Resort was beautiful and very comfortable and we will definitely be going back. Was not very impressed by the food at the restaurant. Would not recommend eating there for the price.
Positive: horrid Negative: the smell of mold in my room and the leftover food under the bed for starters
It was an ok resort. As far as resorts go, we have stayed at many. We called guest services and it rang, literally, forever. At least 40 times and no one answered. The pool is not hid enough for all the guests in the hotel. We walked around the whole pool and were not able to find a place put our stuff down. This is sad considering the price of the resort per night. The lake was wonderful. Spending the day at the mariner was great. Sadly the resort was not.
The service here is great, all of the employees are really accommodating to anything you need here. The view from the forth floor rooms are really amazing, the rooms could use a microwave just a heads up. The atmosphere is really cosy and relaxed, cleaned, and professional.
We stayed at Lakeway Resort and Spa in their Pure Room Suite with a Balcony and it was the most delightful. The room was so fresh and clean. I woke up the first morning breathing so easily. The staff is so nice. The views overlooking the lake are stunning. I would def stay here again. I highly recommend it.
I stayed here for a conference my company put on and really enjoyed the hotel. I was fortunate enough to be on the top floor in an oversized room. The views were amazing and the room looked great and was very comfortable. I enjoyed the conference and the facilities were very nice. The food was great. I didnt have time to use the amenities, but they looked beautiful. I will likely be coming back with my family. There were apparently some issues with the conference and there were some complaints when I got back to work after the conference, but I didnt notice any issues myself.
Pretty out dated. Over priced for what they offer. Food was good though, at the only available area to eat on premises
The establishment is very siren with a lakeview. Its kid friendly and it has several pools for enjoyment.
Mediocre at best. It may use resort in the title but it is not that. The only restaurant food is ok but they do not serve lunch. The view from the pool is very nice and the pool bar is very convenient. The property the potential to be a great place but it failed to meet that potential. Even the local around the area we met laughed saying everyone around knows over prices and under delivers. Exactly what we encountered. We wont be back.
If youre going for the visit... you found it. Dont bother wasting your money on any upgrades.*Looking for breakfast? Google: Cafe Lago!*Looking for dinner? Google: SP Brazilian Steakhouse!Stay away from the Lakeway restaurant. Its certainly not worth the experience or expense.
Beautiful grounds and breathtaking views. Pool is nice as well. However, I was highly disappointed that the restaurant had no vegan meal options besides a salad. For this to be a resort, I assumed that there would be at least one vegan meal option on the menu and there was not. This was highly disappointing. I left The restaurant feeling hungry and irritable. Lakeway resorts, I highly recommend you look into getting one vegan meal added to your restaurant.
We had a three day retreat at the resort. Hotel is clean and comfortable. View of the lake is pretty good. The service is amazing! Love all the room service come with a bag and super fast delivery. Price is reasonable too.
Lakeway Resort and Spa: SO DISAPPOINTED!!!This is my third stay at the Lakeway Resort and Spa, clearly the first two stays were good that we decided to come for the third time here and unfortunately it is my worst stay here. We were misinformed at the time of the booking that there is housekeeping and room service available. Just checked in and was informed that there is no housekeeping and they will clean on day three and if we want clean linen and want our trash picked, they will drop off the bed sheets outside our room and pick the trash from outside our room. When we told the manager that this is not what we were told at the time of reservations, she said these are the safety rules due to COVID-19, which we understand and appreciate but I wish we were told this at the time of reservation. If we knew we had to change the sheets and clean the room on our vacation, we would have booked Airbnb, not the resort. Also, at the time of check-in, I was informed that there was only one room available for the room type I had booked. As soon as I walked in, I noted leaking bathroom ceiling and called the lobby and all of a sudden another room became available. They were not even courteous about moving my luggage and argued with us. Didn’t offer any apology for misinformation. On top of that there manager was extremely rude. Would not stay here again!!!
Such a lovely place!! Highly recommend a balcony room. Love the deer that came to say hello each morning!
They waited until we check in to inform us our room would not be cleaned during our stay. 4 days, 3 nights. The resort sent 3 email about Covid rules, but never mentioned the housekeeping change. They do not enforce any of their posted rules at the pool. Kids were in the hot tub and the adult only pool. People were vaping in the pool. It’s a beautiful pool, but we picked it because it advertises Adult only pool. Room smelled moldy.
Stunning, upscale resort on Lake Travis. Wonderful customer service. The views are amazing. The pool area is relaxing and beautiful. Food at the restaurant was delicious. The spa was incredible. You must go there if youre in the area, you wont be disappointed!
Great place to stay, also has wonderful view of the lake.
What a beautiful place. Staff is so helpful and friendly. 4 stars because the parking is horrible. There was not a single space available... No valet parking either.
Very disappointing! We had multiple concerns from housekeeping, services not available, to outdated rooms, and supplies not available. Called the manager regarding all of the above and she was very unconcerned about our issues.
Posted pictures from our 3rd floor balcony. Beautiful view. We saw deer just under us and they didnt spook or anything. We were just able to watch them and enjoy the breeze and the view. Staff are very accommodating and helpful as well. We also got a pure air room with the filters in the air and the shower. Wonderful shower!! All around very pleased even though most things were closed for regular use.
Enjoyed our stay. All the staff we encountered were friendly. We ordered room service and had no issues. The grounds are nice and the view of the lake is great. Our room was appointed nicely.
While there is nothing that ruined our stay, I would say it’s very...ok as far as a resort goes. It seems like they’re heavily relying on the view to justify the cost. The room needs upgrading. It was pretty worn. The restaurant food wasn’t bad but small portioned and not great for the price. Again. Not bad, just not great like we were hoping. On the positive side the wait staff was excellent! Very friendly and attentive.
We only went to their restaurant but it was very nice with awesome views. The food was very good and the wait staff was very polite and attentive. Highly recommend it.
My friends and I went for 2days(minimum stay) in Aug 2019The stay was OK. The room was just a regular room nothing fancy enough for $600 for just two nights. Especially after coming from a nicer resort for half the price. The only nice thing about this place is the pool, pool bar, And the Lake view. Other than that, it’s absolutely not worth the money spent! I would never come again. not because it was not pleasant but just because it was EXTREMELY overpriced. The food portions weren’t big but the burger at the pool bar tasted great!
Don’t get duped! Resort? Not even close!Spa - closedFitness center - closedRestaurants - boxed foodRooms - clean your own, 1 roll of toilet paper per request, and yes...you must request it then...wait and wait and wait.If you’re like me and go to a RESORT so you don’t necessarily have to leave then, this isn’t the place to be.And the cherry on top...the hotel staff doesn’t want to be there and act is if you’re putting them out when you ask for anything.MONEY WILL BE MUCH BETTER SPENT, ELSEWHERE.
I believe this resort is priced high and the room isn’t worth it. The shower was clogged and there were bugs in the tub. I think the resort needs an upgrade. The pool area was nice but that’s all I enjoyed. The front desk staff was not welcoming with good customer service. I will not stay there again.
Beautiful views of the lake and the swim up bar was a really nice feature. The staff was friendly and the valet Elvis was awesome. I would have given 5 stars but there was only one working elevator that was slow which was a bit of a pain and the stairs werent easily accessible. Also due to current covid restrictions there wasnt room service so that was a bit of a let down.
I stayed here a couple of weeks ago for a long weekend and it was great. The staff were very nice, our room was clean, and the lake view from the balcony was beautiful! The food at the restaurant was surprisingly delicious and I had a ton of fun on the lake and at the pool. Defintely coming back for another stay in the future.
I had the best time at this resort with my family. The beds were super comfortable, the lake view was breathtaking. One hundred percent recommended
Excellent staff and amenities. Wish the bar/room service was open later, but the quality of services provided were worth the price.Beautiful views!!! Very quiet.
Positive: Great location. Negative: Staff not helpful, no room service, no ice machine on floor, pool closed early and opened late.
Did not stay at the resort, just went to the restaurant for breakfast, waited for 41 minutes for our eggs Benedict. There was only one other table in the entire restaurant, I would hate to see the service when they are busy. Our eggs Benedict was hard as a rock, couldn’t even cut the English muffin with a knife
Very much enjoyed this hotel and spa. Had a wonderful massage; it was expensive but that is too be expected at a resort. Rooms were quite nice but the bathrooms could use a little updating. The view from the balcony was gorgeous. Amazing at sunset.
Such a awesome time here. My wife got memosas and a massage at the spa! We went to a heated pool in November. 4 pools total on site. one for kids and adults. 3 for adults only(big win!) And a huge hot tub to melt in. The views from the hot tub are amazing at sun set! Staff was super friendly, all the staff. The deer on site are awesome. We had 3 outside our balcony in the morning and saw some by the hot tub also!. We are planing to return!
It doesnt get much better than this for great getaway, view, and place to unwind. Best views!
This place looks like a place for a family vacation although do NOT be fooled. We had plans to stay for a week. When we arrived the room we picked out through the online phone reservation system was not the room we received. The room has dead bugs infested all over. We have pictures dated incase upper management needs them. Do not bring your dogs. Management does not care about problems or satisfaction at this hotel. Employees/Staff member have personal mask covering the chin not the mouth. Mask enforcement is NOT in place. Corporate should check the cameras. Also The staff yelled at me when I asked to speak to the head manager about an incidence involving my pet. Completely disrespectful and inconsiderate and inappropriate to yell at me for no reason in front of other guests.
Great setup, great views of the lake.
From the moment you arrive the staff is extremely welcoming. Throughout my weekend stay the customer service was by far the best I have ever seen at a stateside resort or hotel. We had an issue with our TV in our original midlevel suite so Sara from the hospitality team gave us a complimentary upgrade to the Mansfield suite which is the best room in the resort. This was in addition to a bottle of champagne and two red velvet cupcakes. The room was exceptional and it definitely increased the level of enjoyment for my pregnant wife and I.The pool was massive and has an awesome view of the lake. We also loved the spa. Our couples massage was so relaxing and rehabilitating. The only thing I would say negative about this resort is that the food could be much better. Its very bland especially for the price. However, they do have lots of great restaurants nearby.Overall our experience exceeded our expectations and it was well worth the money for our babymoon!
Members of the staff was rude and acted like they didn’t want to be there, our app based door wouldn’t open the whole time we stayed and had to have staff open door when we wanted in, the spa, gym, and house keeping was not available the entire stay but we didn’t find out till we paid and showed up . We also paid full price with no discount to check out the place for a wedding venue. I do not recommend this hotel.
Be aware that pool only open from 10a to 7p. So no nightly pool like before. No complimentary items like other place, and it is expensive. Also, no trash cans to be found here, only in your room, eventhough it is the old place.
We stayed here beginning of August 2020 with 2 dogs. Room 102 was clean. Everything is dated but not gross. Definitely no bugs, no stuff in the bathroom. Front desk was friendly. Even printed stuff out for me. Easy way to order dinner to go at the restaurant. There was no room service. That’s expected with COVID-19. No gym. Pools are open. Marina is open. Doggie pooping area well maintained. Daily cleaning of each common area of each floor. View is nice from balcony but hot in the afternoon. Able to watch sunset.
My family enjoys going to Lakeway. The only thing I feel they need to improve is the cleaning part other than that the place is amazing!!!
The resort was nice, the food was great and the staff was awesome.
Really enjoyed my time here. Its a wonderful place for couples or families. There is a kids pool which is separate from the adult pool. My husband and I were grateful for this since it was just the two of us. The views of Lake Travis were beautiful. We needed to rent a car since it is about 40 minutes to Austin. Comfortable beds and very clean. The staff was very attentive.
Gorgeous views, friendly staff, and comfy beds. We cant wait to visit again.
Resort location and views are great! My family and I we not welcomed at the pool area. We were trying to order and the bartender, tall skinny guy with blonde hair, was beyond rude and unresponsive. He seemed fidgety and irritable. As a first time guest my daughter was confused how to order a drink and when I came to ask how to order he rushed me and said people usually know what they want to order and it doesn’t take this long. Very unfriendly and I was afraid to order another drink as other customers were severed with respect and a smile. The other staff at the front desk and the Jamaican guy who helps with bags were joyful and helpful.
I never have once left a bad review or hardly ever put effort into writing reviews. My experience with Lakeway was so bad that it shocked our family and friends. I have never experienced and was not expecting to feel victimized or racially profiled especially so close from home. My best friend and I decided to take the kids for a short getaway at Lakeway since my crazy schedule finally allowed the opportunity. After a long three hour drive from Houston, we received a phone call from Lakeway 10 minutes before we got there telling us that our reservation was canceled due their guest having a family emergency and had to extend their stay. Lakeway refunded us for our room and sent us to Sonesta and paid for our room there. We requested for another room or an upgrade and was willing to pay the difference but got rejected because Lakeway was at full capacity. Sonesta was great but it was not kids friendly due to a wedding being held there so the humble pool available was too packed. We thanked Sonesta for all of their accommodations before we decided to pack up the kids and drove an hour to San Antonio to stay at a relatives’.What is even more outrageous was that the help desk person was getting aggravated when we asked if they can find us another room even if we have to pay the difference.
Came for an end of summer weekend. Way overpriced for a resort. Spend slightly more and head on down to Hyatt Lost Pines or JW Marriott San Antonio for a true resort feeling. This place is just a hotel on a lake with a big pool.
One of my favorite in Austin TX. I enjoyed the bathing kit. Comfortable, clean bed & rooms. Deer are common & cute. Love the balconies. Needs plush robes instead & slippers. Also theres a LOT OF STEPS to get to the lake. And being able to get alcohol easier would make for a more relaxing time.
You walk in and its lovely. Great staff and good house keeping. The only negative we experienced was with the view. We stayed in room 102 and the view was marred by scaffolding on the ground. We sat in the chairs, watched the evening settle in,, our 4 year old niece threw pretzels to the deer, and we wondered, will the deer trip on the bars of galvanized steel. Yep, the natural beauty is accompanied by industrial piping. Its ugly and it detracts from the beauty giving the whole thing a cheap feel. They should pile it against the wall below the balcony and no one would see it. I took the picture from inside the room to keep the piping from ruining the shot.
Lovely place, wonderfully quiet, & peaceful! Very relaxing, and fantastic reception! Loved the PRIVATE (lakeview) balconies, with solid walls, not sitting right next to total strangers when you want to enjoy your balcony, very peaceful. Many places neglect to make their balconies nice and private, so youre just on display in front of everyone, great job there! Awesome pool & hot tub area, overlooking the lake, beautiful.
The views at this place are so beautiful, wish I could come here more often!! It’s a must!
The Location & Views are the highlight of staying here. The front desk & bell hops & other staff were so wonderful & professional. The Sundry/Pantry was always well stocked and had so many nice essentials especially a very nice wine selection!COVID issues.... We couldnt understand why we had to leave for spa services yet other spas were open nearby but the hotel had a big wonderful spa that was closed down. The Back Porch bar was closed down but the website advertises it with food service! Other bars in the area that serve food were open. YET... the pool bar was open with a sign saying NO FOOD! You had to walk over to the snack shack which is fine but why couldnt the food be available in The Back Porch!Disappointing.... The reason for staying there was the point that EVERYTHING was at one location without having to leave the resort. Sadly we had to leave for those special ammenities or have it ordered in. We saw SOOO MANY guest ordering in food from Pizza places, restaurants, etc.The TR Restaurant is advertised as nice dining but it was really over priced Luby Cafeteria Style setting and food. We had a small kid sized portion of pasta/shrimp and I a burger with 2 waters since drinks never made it for $50+!!!!!!!!!!!! A small fixed menu with Sandwiches, Burgers, Soups, Salads, 4-5 appetizers, and only 5 (FIVE) entree items. No table linens. Ordering a drink to the table took forever and the staff was so thin they couldnt be efficient. After 1 dinner & 1 breakfast, we went to CAFE LAGO nearby for our amazing breakfast meals. Flemings Prime Steakhouse for real dinner dining/bar and CASTROs bar & grill for drinks w/small bite plates. The Pool area was extremely disappointing as we had planned a lot of down time here to read & relax. The pool was sooooo dirty. The water was merky with a LOT of sediment floating around. If sanitary is such an issue then the pool should have been in great condition. There was a black mold in the limestone rock all around the pool that needed to be treated with Muratic Acid. Lots of trash could be seen up in the bushes. All the pool furniture is torn! Couldnt find one lounger that wasnt ripped & and the sunset view is as pretty as online because the lakeside Plexiglas wall is in need of cleaning or replacing. Our room was very large and had a magnificent view unless you look straight down. I would suggest some potted bushes or a pergola to cover the ugly sewer equipment, maintenance parts, trash etc. Our rooms carpet (#644) had several large stains by coffee, soda, red nail polish etc?? Steam cleaning is definitely needed. We went to adjust the sofa bed cushions and found a pair of underwear under the cushion and there were sheets with what looked like used bedding still on the sofa-bed!!! ugh Again the VIEW made us just look past all the other plus the bed was also very comfortable with nice bedding. Closet was very large with lots of hangers & a safe, ironing board & iron.In Summary..... This place has huge potential and was probably glorious in its day 70s-80s (opened in 1966) but it needs ALOT of attention and could be glorious once again due to where it is located.
We had a fabulous mini vacation here. Kids thoroughly enjoyed the kids pool, slide and kidzone!! Service was amazing from the front desk, to the spa and al the helpers in between. It didn’t get five stars because the rooms do need updating a bit. Don’t get me wrong, beds were super comfy, but there were some cleaning issues that were resolved once brought up and the doors were quite sticky and hard to open/close. Also we didn’t have a great experience with dinner. Menu is small which is fine but each item should be executed to the maximum degree especially for what you have to pay. Our pasta and charcuterie board were good, but our steak was way over cooked on the outside even though we ordered med rare. Breakfast buffet was great on the weekends but we had to request more food once the week started even though the hotel seemed busy still. Didn’t get a chance to check out the back porch, but service around the pool was pretty good. Would definitely come back!
Not worth the money. No bellman. No cart available for luggage. No map of hotel or things to do. Another lady in line was automatically given a key card, I was told to use the Key app. I had to come back to the front desk, wait in line to get a key card. Because the app doesn’t work and was told, “well sometimes it works”. No room service. AC in room was loud, so we had to keep adjusting tv volume. The room was warm when we arrived. Charged $43 resort fee. Staff seemed like they really didn’t care about the whole situation. We left the next morning. They did refund us the 2nd day. We won’t be back.
My family and I loved staying in this beautiful hotel. We had a room overlooking the water and it was a great view. Since we were traveling with a 3 year old and 4 year old in the beginning of March, our favorite spot was the Kid Zone area inside the hotel. The pool area looked amazing but we werent able to enjoy it because it was too cold. The Kid Zone area had tons of activities for babies all the way up to teens, that kept us plenty entertained. There was a small mini golf course, foosball table, ping pong table, multiple bouncy houses, basketball shooting game, and tons more. There was enough space in between for the kids to just run around as well. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because there food service and shop area was quite pricey. I paid 5 dollars for a small bottle of milk. Overall, we loved staying there and would love to return again when we are back in Austin.
Wonderful stay. Staff is amazing and the resort beautiful with plenty of space to relax. I didn’t take pictures of the gym but is one of the coolest gyms I’ve seen at a resort. Expect to spend a lot of money if you are planning to eat, drink or buy anything at the hotel.
Positive: The hotel was well equipped for our stay and helped ensure our health and safety as well as ensuring we had a fun trip!
Pretty great resort lakeside with an incredible view. I have stayed here every summer for the past 10 years and it never gets old. You wake up and feel so refreshed hearing the water and boats from the balcony and the restaurant over looking the lake and pool was really nice. Thanks for another great trip!
We arrived yesterday and the location seems great. Our room is clean and the hotel looks nice. We weren’t given the WiFi code upon entry, we’re told we had to download an app for a key and many of the amenities are closed for COVID-19.I travel a lot and this is just an excuse to not clean or do hard work to keep these things open for guests. I am disappointed in a high cost room and not being able to take full advantage so far. I’m here for a few more days and will update as I go.I received an email response from the hotel for this review and as I suspected they blamed Covid-19. Here are someSuggestions for the hotel:1: Open the fitness center. Put someClorox wipes in there and limit capacity to 3-4 people. I’ve stayed at Hampton inns that have fitness centers open.2: Open the lobby bar. Again, discount hotels and other establishments have this figured out. Why can’t this “resort”?3: Not providing room service and turn down services are probably worse for the spread of covid. Clean the room and let people get food in their rooms. It’s the decent and safe thing to do.4: Open the spa. We used the Sooth app to have a massage on our patio, in our room for less than you charge. Your going to prove to guests they don’t need your spa. So close it permanently or open it and follow proper health protocol.5: Stop using COVID as an excuse and provide value for your guests. We want to get out. If I want a dirty room with no gym I can stay home. Please contact me if you want more suggestions. I’m happy to help consult for a small fee.Until then my review remains 1 star.
Beautiful hotel, comfortable bed, terrific views and delicious food!!
Nice getaway spot, beautiful views. Staff was friendly and helpful. The rooms could use some updating, but overall a great experience. The spa treatments were a nice addition to a getaway weekend
Positive: The view Negative: Yes, they charged me twice for the same room.
I feel as though they should make it very clear on the website that the fitness center is closed because of Covid19 which is understandable.. In addition the pools are overcrowded cannot enjoy safely
I went here time to time. I did enjoy the service. But in my opinion the location is all wrong. They should of put on the lake not in the middle of lakeway. But it will do. Lol. Seems that neighborhood is falling apart more and more every year though.
This place advertises a resort and spa. Resort amenities are limited. I didnt see the spa, so no comment on that. It had one restaurant. Limited menu with average food quality. The bar was ok. The hotel is hidden away deep inside a large residential development. Nice upscale homes. Scenic neighborhood. Limited grocery and eateries in the area Very nice room with a great view of Lake Travis. Overpriced in my opinion. Service was only average. I wont be a return visitor.
I like the resort in terms of its amenities—by the lake and wonderful pools. Yet I got quite disappointed with the service. My room has a clogged toilet, coming back to the room with a clogged toilet and no room service at 3pm is not pleasant, when I complained to the person at the front desk she took it for granted and said ‘it’s a toilet, being clogged is normal’ is this your attitude to a resort guest? She even ignored my anger and didn’t offer any compensation. Having stayed at many resorts and hotels I found this unacceptable and unbelievable in such a nice resort. It’s nice area by the lake but I would find another one to stay next time.
Always enjoy coming here. Great location and service. They upgraded my room this time too! Probably easier for them to do during the Covid19 pandemic. I plan to keep returning back:)
The rooms are nice and have beautiful views if you’re on the lake side. The bed is comfortable. The resort is very pretty. Sort of has an upscale lodge vibe. The pools are very nice with an adults only section and outdoor bar and grill and the kids pool is large with a really nice water slide. There’s also a pool with pool volleyball. Breakfast was good in the resort restaurant with nice views. The staff are very friendly. There was a wedding the night we stayed and we had quite a noisy evening with people partying outside on their balconies well into the night (but I know this isn’t the hotels fault). There’s also a kids zone with bounce house, etc that we didn’t have a chance to check out but would like to next time. Would stay here again!
Lovely place for a romantic getaway but choose the cheapest the room. The building is showing its age even at the most expensive suites with balconies. I paid over $900 for two nights and I was surprised how bad the room was for that kind of money. I stayed at better rooms for just over $100 x night with no Lake views of course. Dont even expect them to change the bed sheets every day even paying that money. The romantic package should include flowers for sure besides the champagne bottle and 5 strawberries with chocolate. The boat trip is highly recommended
Positive: Amenities Negative: No
Positive: Breathtaking view Negative: None

It was nice and relaxing. The water was so warm.
My honey took me her for my birthday and we had a blast
