I am extremely impressed by the coaching philosophy at TRPD! My son is excited and motivated to learn the true meaning of baseball! He is being taught to value his equipment and how to take responsibility and goal setting skills, which are invaluable lessons at 9!The communication and dedication to the families from all the Coaches is stellar within this organization. We are excited to be a part of TRPD!!
We are impressed with the individual skill development our boys are receiving. The coaches see their potential and have to knowledge to help them reach their future goals.
Our son has played with TRPD for several years. We are so thankful for Trent and all the coaches. Trent focuses on developing the whole kid as a person and a player. He had our son ready for high school ball, helped us through many hitting slumps, and our son played Varsity by his junior year. Now as we prepare for college soon we know Trent will be a big part of the reason our son has a shot at the collegiate level. Trent is a good man and a great coach. We have been blessed to know him and work with him.
We have been looking for a baseball academy-style program for our son emphasizing technique and form. In our experience, bad habits (and bullying) are tolerated as long as the team wins, and we really wanted our child to develop the skills needed to play high school baseball (and hopefully college). We have found the perfect baseball program in TRPD. They work with each child to develop them into a better player by asking the kids to set high goals and plan out how to achieve them. The coaches are constructive and NOT old school. They use data to drive the program and have the kids best interest in mind with each decision made in games and practices. Here, they do not tolerate bullying, and everyone is pushed equally to perform better. Our son was hitting home runs in little league because of their program, and now on their club team, he is playing new positions that HE wants to play and becoming a well-rounded player with multiple positions HE is passionate about. They are training him for baseball in high school and college… not to win rings with shortcuts. They are pushing him farther than we thought possible, all in a positive environment. He loves going to practice, and wants to do drills in his off-time too! We couldn’t be happier with their program and recommend it to everyone we know. This season alone his pitching and hitting velocity/distance have climbed considerably… and we still have a month left!
We worked our way through 3 or 4 select baseball orgs and private coaches before finding Trent and Justin, who re-built my son Carson’s swing from scratch. Since all that early hard work, we spent the rest of our baseball years with TRPD, with Carson crushing baseballs and learning the game.Trent created a baseball org with purpose, vision, leadership, transparency and authenticity, with a focus on process vs pure winning at all cost. Carson became a great baseball player and team leader through all his high school years who understands strategy, hitting technique, but also about integrity, teamwork, and so many life skills he’ll take with him and embody forever. If you’re looking for MLB quality hitting technique, go with TRPD.If you’re looking for quality baseball skills and strategy, go with TRPD.Can’t say enough about our experience over 8+ years with them.
My son, whos 11, loves baseball and has played for 3 other select ranked teams. All of them, save TRPD were disappointing. I dont involve myself in any aspect of the game except positive encouragement. It was nice to find a club that promotes long-term skills and values development, not just winning or blames shifting. During the COVID-19 pandemic, baseball has been canceled, but Trent has kept a steady stream of emails, videos, and reminders to the parents and players.Three points stand out most with TRPD: 1. Communication. Trent communicates directly and often with the parents. He cares about the kids development and not just about getting better at baseball, but how to be a better person. This is reflective in his emails to the parents on topics such as strength training, warm-up routine and having the boys keep a journal with goals and objectives. Im continually amazed at how he juggles all aspects of the organization and still, he knows every boy of all the age groups by name, their position, skils and development areas. One final note on communication, he conducts what we call in the business world a mid-year review where he talks to the parents about the development of the player and gives specific feedback. Being able to talk about what you, as a parent, see and can do to support the team and your son goes a long way to developing loyalty and camaraderie. 2. Fundamentals. The coaches use the latest technology as levers to help the players get better at specific skills (ex. batting, pitching, etc.) and not as a crutch. Using YouTube to show the kids is a great way to connect on their level and in format they understand. Coaches are specific and appropriate about areas of improvement. Theres no yelling, shaming but specific coaching and lots of conversation about the area that needs work on. Ive noticed that this environment is conducive to kids wanting to do their best rather than fearing to fail. 3. Parents. This has been a refreshing experience to have all the parents encouraging, supportive and NOT coaching from bleachers. Theres no yelling, second-guessing umpires or other unsportsmanlike conduct. The parents are calm and cheer the team in an appropriate mannerBottom line, this is a real class act organization run by a true baseball fan who shows concern for his players. My son loves the atmosphere and competitiveness, rigor, and cadence. Highly recommend.
Our family cant say enough great things about TRPD. Baseball was such an integral part of my upbringing; the catalyst for the relationships formed with my best friends of 35 years and the core foundation between me and my dad. But when it came to teaching my son, I simply didnt know how to coach a 9 yr old in a way that he could understand - I was failing miserably.Taking my son to TRPD changed everything - it was the best decision Ive made as a sports dad. They break it all down with video and the latest technology (hittrax) and then assign bite size drills in order to help the kids progress in a step by step fashion. The kids arent overwhelmed with 20 different things to focus on at once and the parents can absorb the TRPD approach. I have learned a ton from them, and I am able to now reinforce it at home. Our results have been outstanding. Though my kid is one of the smallest in the program (for his age) - he hit 3 home runs last year. I cant thank TRPD enough, not just for the dingers but for helping me raise my son and creating a family environment where the kids arent afraid of the coaches (my kids favorite thing about TRPD is the coaches) and the coaches are family.I highly recommend this program to anyone looking for consistent development and instruction, to join a select team, role models, a new baseball family, or help earning a baseball scholarship.
The TRPD Team takes great care in training up their players. Couldnt be more happy with the growth and development that our son has reached under the guidance and direction of TRPD.
Can not say enough great things about this club! Trent and his staff are phenomenal and give clear, precise, and consistent instruction every practice. Our son is having a blast while noticeably improving his skills each week. We are excited to be apart of the TRPD family.
Our 9 year old grandson Preston has only been working with the coaches at TRPD since June, but in that short time we have been very impressed with his development. He is developing his skills on and off the field making him a better person and teammate. The consistency in coaching and instruction provided by the coaches at TRPD have helped him set and work on his individual development plan. He gets the same message and coaching no matter who works with him. Players learned to set goals and are accountable for their actions. Coaches treat the boys with respect and set very clear behavior and playing expectations. Preston is thriving in this environment of positive reinforcement and is thrilled everytime he hits his goals! TRPD is a top notch development program and we highly reccomend them to help your player reach the next level.
My son is in his second season with TRPD. I was hesitant to move my son to a select team — I didnt want a team that focused solely on winning. We definitely picked the right team with Trent. Instruction and development is TRPDs number one goal — winning comes second. And its not just baseball instruction — Trent and his coaches are helping the boys become better people. They talk about organization, dedication, intention, respect and more. The boys even keep a journal of goals and achievements.Whether we are in practice or a game the players are receiving constant instruction and feedback. Every moment is a learning moment. We also have participated in a few of the instruction classes — definitely well worth the money.
