Ive been going there since I was a kid. Lately Ive gone there for firearms and their concealed weapons class. The class is great. It takes a morning to do and they typically provide snacks and beverages. The instructor is fairly knowledgeable and is more than willing to help you understand and of the fundamentals of firearms ownership and safety. The gun room staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Recently I went to purchase a firearm. I didnt have all of the cash up front but they went above and beyond by making an exception for me to put the rifle on layaway even when they didnt have to. 10/10 would go back and recommend.

West Coast Pawn Is the best place to buy a gun in Lakeland. We have baught two guns from them and a bunch of ammo. We like them so much I made them a Glock treat for Memorial Day.

I highly recommend taking the CCW class here! I was referred here by my sister and I am so glad I came here to take it. Mrs. Erdly was amazing! She is extremely passionate about firearm safety an very knowledgeable. I am a newbie to firearms and havent had much practice with them. I am little intimidated when it comes to guns and Mrs. Erdly made me feel very comfortable. I left the class today with lots of information and techniques on what to do and what not to do. This place is awesome but what makes it so great is one person. Katherine, she has an amazing wealth of knowledge and a great personality to match. She has always leads me in the right direction, treated me fairly, and doesn’t push me (maybe a little) just kidding . the amount of care she handles her clients is absolutely phenomenal. Been here several times over the past few years. Bought multiple freedom units from them, several freedom seeds, and few random items. They’re always friendly. Always very informative. Don’t mind ya hanging out just to chat. I’m an over the road truck driver and I come in to town every few months so I make it a priority to stop by every time I come around. Highly recommend them. If they don’t have what you want, tell them. They’re good at getting back with you if it comes through the shop. Can’t say enough good things about them.

I love this place there always getting in new stuff, and yet some times I feel like I’m in a museum looking at some very interesting stuff. Lots of firearms to choose from. My wife and I took our concealed carry class here, they really work with you. They want you to pass and get your certificate. The prices are very fair. Sometimes I just go there and walk around looking. The staff is very very cool. Check them out.

Katie is an excellent CCW instructor. Very knowledgeable and passionate about gun safety. The class was real easy to understand and she made it fun to learn about guns and proper handling. She also gives her personal info so she can continue to give you training even afterwards. Def would recommend!

Wanted to buy a gun with out my husbands help (for the first time). Went to several places and then I found myself at West Coast Pawn. I pointed out the gun i thought that I wanted. When it was handed to me I realized it was way too heavy for me. Tommy my sales rep also saw it was way too heavy. He grabbed a different gun and said try this. It was perfect light weight with maximum damage!!! He explained everything about the gun to me. After I shot as part of the requirement for the class, she answered more extensive questions that I had and went over the gun more in detail for me. After taking the CCW license course I was very pleased with how much knowledge the instructor gave. I would highly recommend taking this course. If you are on the fence about it, please just do it, the instructor is super friendly and will not make you feel stupid for asking a question. Plus, being trained how to properly handle a weapon is always a good skill to have!

Decent place and for the most part they welcome except for when too busy. When it’s busy you have no clue who works there and seems to take a long while before you are able to get help. Ratings would Probably be 2-3 stars but this place is lucky Katherine works there. The CWP class was very informative and Katherine did an awesome job making it understanding, fun and enjoyable.

Have mainly shopped for firearms here and the prices are great for used or new. Inventory has a good selection but the employees make the difference, pressure free zone, knowledgeable employees, and honest recommendations based on skill and purpose for use.

I learned gun fundamentals as well as concealed carry fundamentals and she presented the material in a fun and engaging way. I’ve done a certification in the past but lost my certificate, and it does NOT compare to the corse taught my this instructor.She not only teaches you gun safety but she also is very knowledgeable about the laws from state to state as it relates to obtaining your ccw permit and traveling with it.The training I got today was second to NONE.I rarely leave reviews but I felt I should take my time to leave one based off of the AMAZING experience I’ve had with this young lady:

They suuuuuuuucck.. The whole staff here are some ding bats. Some of those gun guys who think they know everything under the sun. I wouldn’t waste my time here. They’re very rude. These people need to be shut down for piss poor service to the public.

I was deleted from their Facebook page which is how I kept up on stuff they got in so I would know when to make the drive there to buy something. I’ve spent thousands and thousands of dollars at that store. I pretty much know all the staff and the owner and their dog.I thought it was a good place to do business I really enjoyed shopping there. Ive been the West Coast Pawn a few times and its refreshing seeing people act like real people and not corporate robots. I also took my conceal carry class here and I enjoyed it very much. To this day I still use the same hand placement on pistols that the instructor showed me in class. If I would have to suggest any place to go itd be here.
