Comprehensive display of Lake Wales and Polk County. My family and I enjoyed our visit. I plan to return when I have time to scrutinize the information presented in the exhibits. It is located next to the historic downtown district.

We love free museums. The place was so authentic and had some great stuff. Got to tour a box car and a fire truck.

An amazing museum showcasing local as well as national historic events. Visitors may guide themselves throughout the museum or have an employee/volunteer walk them threw. Frequently has events such as traveling Smithsonian exhibits, hands on activity days for children/youth, pioneer days, and many others. Definitely a must see if youre in the local area!

The history museum has the best events! The food and drinks are amazing, the music is great, the people are welcoming, and the atmosphere cant be beat. Keep tabs on their calendar for upcoming events!

The new traveling exhibit on prohibition is excellent! Well worth spending an hour or two to visit and learn son history. 1

They do a lot of work there changing displays and adding new things. Very informative. You can see a model train layout. Watch the trains run.

Something for all age groups. The train car is a fun stop.Plenty to see, yet not overwhelming.

I used to work there so I am biased...but a great way to spend time learning a bit about the history of Lake Wales. They have rotating exhibits, special events and a Train Caboose to walk through. Staff is friendly.
