Steve is an active lawyer in the field so hes got a wealth of knowledge that youre not gonna find anywhere else. You can tell the instructors are really passionate about what they do and go above and beyond the requirements in their courses. Highly recommend!!
I was highly referred to Artemis from several agencies and spoke very highly of them. I had already high expectations regarding their service and knowledge, but I must say after meeting Steve and Sandy I was BLOWN away. The dedication and latest technology in training is far beyond my imagination. Everything went smooth, explained in detailed and staff was very friendly and made sure everyone was comfortable.I will continue my training with Artemis and getting a membership for their simulator. I highly encourage anyone looking or curious about getting their CCW to check them out.
I attended the CCW renewal course this weekend via ZOOM and was very impressed with how smooth the course went. Ive attended several meetings and classes via ZOOM for work, etc. and rarely do they go as smooth as the course this weekend. On Day Two, at the range, everything went smooth as well. It was very clear that safety was the utmost priority. As in my past courses with Steven and Sandy, they were both very professional and sincere in their training. They each made sure we were receiving the information we need in order to be prepared and then some. Regarding the quality of training, I have a high degree of confidence that I received the best training available. I have referred several people to Artemis and will continue to do so.
Felt like the DMV. Take a number and be seated. The guys who work here are friendly and efficient. My guy brought his gun so we didnt rent one, however, they had some cool looking pistols like from them western movies.
I received my CCW training through Artemis about 2 years ago. I also have taken many of their classes on and off for the past 2 years. Artemis is a phenomenal company that truly cares about their students and takes the extra step to ensure they have a strong competence with firearms. One of the owners (Steven) handles a majority of the in-class training and is an attorney. You learn all of the ins and outs about where you can legally carry. We had a few people attending our class for their license renewal (they came at last quarter of the course), and I heard several of them state that they learned more in his abridged class than they did in the entirety of the class they took to get their permit initially. Any legal question you have, hes able to answer. It was very helpful and I left feeling much more confident about where I can carry and the overall firearms laws. With respect to the training, its top notch. There are a variety of instructors, ranging from active/former military, FBI, police, etc. All of them bring a wealth of knowledge to their classes and I never left a class feeling like I hadnt learned something new. They start with the basics, such as the proper grip, varying types of reloads and how to clear the common types of jams. When you get into the advanced courses it runs the gamut of how to shoot and move, shoot from cover, off hand shooting, positional shooting, weapon retention, etc. Each time I begin to feel like I know enough, I am humbled and realize just how much more there is to learn and to practice (if only I had more time!). In short, I highly recommend Artemis Defense Institute.
I was excited to come here and considering a membership, but the instructor for Pistol 1, 2, 3 combined series today made basically nonstop political comments throughout the entire day, including threatening violence against people in Sacramento. Contrary to stereotypes, gun owners and enthusiasts come from all political stripes, and CA is America, despite the instructor saying CA isnt really America. (?) I wont be returning to this place, and anyone who isnt a drooling sycophant to the current administration will probably prefer to go elsewhere as well.
Probably my favorite place to shoot in OC. I am an older woman, and have always felt comfortable and welcomed coming here to shoot with my grandchildren. Artemis makes it very easy as I am able to book training sessions for my kids online which makes it very easy and convenient. The family always has a good time here and I recommend Artemis to novices and professionals alike.
An incredible experience with great staff. Everyone should go through this training to see how their body reacts in real life high stress scenarios.
Simply the best way to train with a firearm. There is no way to train to this level anywhere else I have seen. Whether you are a novice or a SWAT team member you will refine your skills at Artemis. Been through several classes and there instructors and courses are excellent.
Come back for Renewing CCW after 2 years. Team and especially Instructor is very knowledgeable, everytime i visit is a new laws change informed, new incident/accident scenario learned, and more importantly: he working close with lawyer specialized in CCW field.Thank again for your time, wish all the best to your teams....
I really enjoyed and benefited from the training I received at Artemis. The staff is knowledgeable, friendly and they really care about the comfort safety and ultimately the proficiency of the students. The equipment is top notch and the curriculum really makes sense. I would heartily reccomend Artemis Defense to anyone looking for firearms training, comrade, and an inoculation to high stress events through simulated yet relevant experience. I will certainly be back.
If you want to improve your firearms skills and knowledge then check this place out.Hands down the most professional, friendly, training environment Ive experienced.I attended a class and immediately felt comfortable with the staff. The content and organization of the class made learning very enjoyable. Im looking forward to my next class.
Extremely knowledgeable staff, they are friendly, helpful, and professional. Their simulators are state of the art training technology designed to teach you things you cant learn shooting at paper targets. I can not recommend them enough.
Great Instructors, Great System. I highly recommend this training. As far beyond target shooting as body surfing the wedge is beyond taking a shower. If you want to quickly enhance your skills, this is the place to do it.
Excellent! The staff makes you feel like family right away. No ego’s or talking down to newbies. If you wanna learn? This is the place. I left after a weekend course with more knowledge then I could have imagined. I improved my technique 100%. The staff and instructors are active and retired military and police, it doesn’t get better then that. I can’t say enough positive things about ADI. I feel lucky to have this outstanding resource so close to my hometown.
When it comes to firearm “insert your next word of almost anything” there simply isn’t a better place around. Come as a beginner, come as a hardened combat Veteran with a sound skill set; Artemis has a place for you. From classroom instruction to simulation to live fire, your needs will be met here. Semper Fi!
Place is awesome. Staff and instructors very knowledgable and experienced.
I just came here to say this: Steve is way too hot to be an instructor. How can anybody concentrate on what he’s saying? The only way I got through the class is by not looking at him. If you just listen to what he’s saying, then the instruction is great.
This place is truly amazing for men and women of all ages! The staff are knowledgeable, friendly, and the facility is superb! Their ART OF THE PISTOL training program -- not to be missed! Their ARTEMIS CERT. is something to consider as well. Ive seen photos that show bachelor / bachelorette parties, corporate team building programs, and even tournaments and contests. FUN stuff at ADI! Customer for life here!
Awesome place! I am so happy that I stumbled upon it. I have been live shooting maybe 20 times before coming here and I was terrible due to the anticipation and lack of confidence. These classes are significantly helping me correct that. Although it is all simulation, it feels almost real. Great for people that are nervous around firearms since no live ammo and no way to injure yourself. The instructors (Michael and Craig) and the owners are wonderful and encouraging. I would highly recommend!
My first experience with Artemis was their FREE Pre-CCW course that they provide as a public service to the community. That class alone with very insightful and full of knowledge. After that I decided to signup for a few of their pistol courses (1,2 and 3). The instructors were all top notch. Very knowledgeable and helpful, all with their own impressive backgrounds to backup what they were teaching. I came in as a recreational shooter with limited holster experience, and left a defensive shooter with a far greater understanding of firearm manipulation and holster transitions. The owners are wonderful people who truly care about their clients and want to make sure that people are getting their monies worth, but also making sure that they are understanding everything they are being taught and are being safe at the same time.I would recommend Artemis to all family and friends. The experience is unique, the knowledge about firearms and law is great and the people care more than just about your money.
Great place, great technology, and A+++ instructors. Took the CCW class, instructors were great!
The instructors were real police officers and were awesome. The scenarios felt so real that it gave me a more direct understanding what our law enforcement officers have to put up with. Thanks guys for such a great time as my dad and I came on a fathers day special and we both had a blast and will remember this time together for ever. We will have to do again soon.
These guys are amazing. Steven, Sandy, Kavon, and the rest of the staff, will quickly find out where you are in your skills, and then take you forward from there in short order. The training screens and scenarios are so adaptable and can be modified for people who are new to this kind of training up through the most seasoned and experienced around. I know because Ive watched them do this for such a spectrum of skill levels simultaneously while at two different stations within the facility. And they helped me to more than meet my training goal when I attended Front Sights Practical Rifle Course and not only graduated with the Distinguished Graduate certification on my first attempt, but also ended up winning the Man-on-Man competition! I credit my training time at Artemis with these results! Well done, folks! And thank you!
ADI is an excellent training facility. State of the art simulators provide a realistic experience with firearms and self defense scenarios in a safe environment. An excellent way to introduce new or inexperienced shooters to guns without the risks associated with live ammunition.Experienced shooters benefit greatly from the simulators as they introduce you to a number of realistic scenarios designed to test not only your reflexes, but more importantly your powers of observation and judgement. They have a number of courses designed to train gun owners in the proper mindset and skills for self defense situations that involve the use of their firearm, as well as basic gun safety and marksmanship. All of the courses that I have taken have included valuable information regarding the legal, mental, and physical aspects of self defense. Leave your ego at home, disregard what you think you know, pretend to be a sponge, and you will learn a lot.For those of you on a budget, fair warning, these experiences are not cheap. I (and most of the students here) feel the prices are good for the knowledge, skills, and instruction that is offered. Im willing to pay more for quality. The skills you learn could save your life someday. Skimping doesnt make sense. Figure out what you can afford and work with that. Occasional training is a lot better than no training and I would propose that the cost of training should be factored in as part of the responsibility of owning a firearm. The staff at Artemis are top notch. Most of their instructors have military and/or law enforcement backgrounds. You wont be learning from hobbyists. Youll be learning from experienced professionals. They are friendly and down to earth. Knowledgeable. Passionate about self defense and your right to self defense. In training scenarios they pay attention to detail. They are patient, but wont put up with any BS. They will push you to excel. It wont be easy, but if youre smart youll see the value in challenging yourself. Again, leave your ego at home, open your mind to learning, and you will get a lot out of your experiences here.
This place is awesome! I was looking for a shooting range and found them by accident. They invited me to stop by and I got to meet the owner in person. She walked me through their facility and helped me understand who they are and what they do. Its so much more than a shooting range. They walk you through real life scenarios, help you learn to keep your cool under pressure, and think through strategy in an life threatening situation all from the perspective of standing behind a firearm. This place compared to a shooting range is like flying a fighter jet compared to throwing paper airplanes!
So much fun. If you own a firearm then you need to take classes here. Katie is a great instructor. Training is fun, challenging and thought provoking.
Great faculty. Great instructors. Super friendly staff. The facilities training capabilities really puts it in perspective!Theres two main scenario rooms/lobbys the 180 & 360 digital back drops. There isnt a live firing range here but still fun n thrilling!! Gets ur adrenaline pumping!!Ill be returning to improve my firearms training!! Thanks Kyle & John for your patience & sharing ur knowledge with us!! Cheers & happy hunting!!
Clear explanations, devoted staff and a lot of fun. Ive taken over 35 visitors to play on the simulators and pretty much every single visitor leaves with a new appreciation of the decisions that (potentially, anyway) face Law Enforcement Officers every day.Bravo to Steven, Sandy and the crew!
I use a laser simulated range in my free classes, but the advanced systems and scenarios at Artemis take simulated training to a much higher level and i highly recommend training with them on a regular basis, in addition to live fire training. Steven and Sandy are dedicated to keeping families safe.
I took my business networking group to a private training session and it was awesome. Not only is it fun to learn how to properly use a firearm from real law enforcement and military personnel they also teach you about the laws and how to properly handle a threat.
Awesome experience. I came with a few friends/coworkers after work and will certainly be coming back. Mike was very knowledgable and fun.
Wow, what an experience! I got a preview as they open in a few weeks. Although I could write a long review on how amazing this was, Im going to try and keep it short in the hopes that people actually read it.This facility is unlike any available to ordinary guys like me. The equipment was made for the military and law enforcement, and now for the first time, accessible to the public! I read about the virtual simulations and watched the YouTube videos on Virtra and was impressed...but even the videos didnt do it justice. This is not like going to the range, which in my opinion, gets boring after the first paper target. Instead, you are working through real life scenarios, challenging not only your marksmanship, but your decision making skills. Its like living a choose your own path adventure. Though the firearm is modified, it is still real with actual recoil. Additionally, you have a personal trainer helping you through your technique and thought process which is invaluable. Ive played all the top first person shooter games over the years, however this is not like playing a game...it is living the scenario. They are virtual scenarios, but this is not animation. Its the closest thing to a live, physical simulation that I know of!At the time of this writing (February 2013), they only have the Virtra 100 which is a single flat screen. Soon they will have both a 180 degree and 300 degree simulation that I cant wait to try.Whether you have never shot before or are an Army Ranger, you will not want to miss this. I cant wait to go back! Artemis slogan says it all: You have the RIGHT to bear arms. You have the RESPONSIBILITY to train. Again, this kind of training is not available to the general public anywhere else in California. Artemis is going to change the way civilians train and protect themselves. I truly believe this company is going to save lives--go, train and it might be yours.
For anyone who wants to learn about guns, or to refine the skills that they already have; this is the place for you. They put you through the paces of real-life, life and death situations where you have to learn to handle yourself under pressure. Be sure to wear the zapper for added stress and realism. Well worth the time, and the money!
I have trained in both their simulators as well as live shooting during my CCW class and they continue to go above and beyond in every aspect of their training. Whether youre completely new to firearms or an avid gun enthusiast there is no equal.
Excellent facility for you to train in self-defense and/or force-on-force situations. Instructors are very knowledgeable about what they do, and the virtual system means you can practice how to respond in high-stress scenarios and live to learn from your mistakes. The lessons learned can be invaluable when you have to make snap judgments in real life when interacting with potential hostiles to managing the proper escalation of force.
Loved it went and many of the simulators captivated my attention because of the authenticity and the feeling physical and mental you shure get an adrenalin rush when inside of the 360 degree simulator
It’s true, they’re great!
Just finished the ccw class, dont go anywhere else...........
NOT A LIVE FIRE SHOOTING RANGEbut really nice, and offers lots of training programs.
Absolutely incrediable.....
