Has a fantastic time blowing glass here! I had never done it before, and our instructor was great at giving us all the details about what we were doing and why. Make sure you plan this with enough time during your trip to come back and pick it up 24 hours later! The glass has to cool down before you can take it home - they can always ship it to you, but itll cost a little more. We were SO happy with our finished product, and we look forward to the next piece of art we get to make at Moana Glass!

My wife and I had a wonderful experience! We made a fish and it came out amazing! Kevin was our instructor- he made our lesson super fun and walked us through each and every step of the way! We got to interact with Ryan as well and soak in all of the wonderful pieces that are in the showroom and took home a seashell to start our own collection. They even packed our pieces so when we travel home they will be kept safe. If you’re in the area and looking for a fantastic glass-blowing experience, we would recommend!!

Great experience! They walked through all the steps of what we would do, and reminded as we got to each step and helped when needed to ensure a successful piece! Plenty of things for both my husband and I to work on the same piece, and it turned out great! What a fun time! If you dont have time to do the class or wait for your glass to cure they also have evenings where you can watch the artists create their masterpieces. I highly recommend it. This was a highlight of our trip and we have a beautiful piece of art to add to our home.

Best vacay experience ever. Took their class on the art of blowing glass. They have several items to pick from that range in price and you get to make it. For $300 bucks we made a . Kevin was our teacher and he was AMAZING! He knows how to tailor the class based on demonstrated eye hand coordination and also ensure your piece comes out looking fabulous. They will teach a child as young as 5. The owner, Ryan, is so chill. No hard sales. Their new gal was so sweet and helpful and her trainer Tyler was a lovely young man. All of the staff really made the visit at their shop that much more enjoyable. Great experience!! Loved it!! We will be back. I think we want to make a bowl next time.

Our instructor, Stephanie, was amazing! She was patient with my daughter, letting her do as much or as little as she wanted- sensing her trepidation. She thoroughly explained each step of the glass making process and was a delight to meet. Her extensive 11 year background in glass showed and I was quite impressed with her skills and easy going personality.

Ryan Staub is a very talented glass artist. After more than 20 years of experience, he has brought his studio and workshop to Maui and is making some great pieces. His combination of fused glass and blown glass in single pieces creates unique and creative works of art. Absolutely breathtaking. Ryan also has a wonderful staff - very friendly and very hard working and talented. If you are in Maui - seek him out and stay a while. Schedule a class and make some simple pieces yourself. If you have the time (or perhaps you should just make the time) visit him on Friday evenings - 6 til 10 and watch him create beautiful pieces.

Friendly, patient teachers guide you through making your own glassblowing project. Its a bit pricey, but you have a one of a kind souvenir. Make sure you plan to come back for the completed project, or arrange for them to ship it home for you. Easy to reserve a time on their website.

My friend signed us up for one of the glass blowing sessions just as something different to do. The guy that greeted us, Mike, was great. He was really nice, has a great personality, and hes a cutie! Got us checked in, told us what would be going on and showed us where we could watch the person before us. Kevin was the person we worked with, also very friendly, maybe a little shy, but most importantly, he knew what he was doing! He tried to make me comfortable, but I was too scared of doing something wrong! It was a fun experience, and if they were local wed probably be there every couple months. We met the owner who was also super nice and does great work! When I grow up......into a millionaire, theres a gorgeous sun piece Im going back for!

What a great afternoon! I signed up to make two pieces - an ornament and a floppy bowl with some trepidation as I had never done anything like this before. My teacher walked me through all of the steps, was right there to support me when I was unsure and made me feel like I actually knew what I was doing. Both projects turned out wonderful and Im very proud of what I was able to do (with their help).Although I did both projects on my own, they have a system where several people can work on one piece by taking charge of different steps which would be a great way for a couple of family to participate. Your glass pieces take at least 24 hours to cool and you can pick them up after that time. Im shipping mine home since we are headed to the Big Island next, but I stopped by to see the finished products and to show my DH what I had accomplished. While we were there we saw a brand new light and Ryan was more than happy to come over and explain the amazing process for this beautiful piece. This is a great to work with and you will always remember your trip to Maui with a glass piece from Moana Glass.

We seriously had the best time at this place! It was so fun to create our very own, very unique souvenier that we will remember forever. Dont let the cost stop you-- its truly worth it! We were impressed by how much we actually got to participate in the glass blowing and shaping of our piece and we loved that we could both make 1 thing together. Cant recommend this place enough!!

Great blown glass studio! Many great pieces, many reflective of the island theme. The owner, Ryan was very nice to talk to. We sat and watched them blow and learned a lot. Awesome experience making my bowl with Mike. He seemed a little rushed to get things explained and going but I guess since its hot lava glass, there is not a lot of time to chit chat. It was fun. Almost too quick though. Wished it lasted a bit longer especially for the cost of the experience.

We had a great time at Moana Glass today. We chose to make a fish sculpture which was great fun. It is a good option if there are 2 people in your group as it is a bit larger. The staff are helpful and the glassblowers are genuinely excited to show their craft to other people. They made us feel safe and welcome at all times. It is hidden away in the industrial district but well worth it

Very welcoming, free tour, beautiful glass and the best classes! You get to do more here than any other glass blowing facility. Make sure you plan to make your glass priject early in your vacation so it has time to cool before you take it home.

Okay Maui vacationers (and locals), COME TAKE A GLASS BLOWING CLASS HERE!!!This.is.an.absolute.MUST!!My husband and I stumbled across Moana glass blowing on groupon and were immediately sold on taking a class and trying it out. I am a pretty accident prone person so I was a little nervous at the thought of handling molten glass lol, but the guys at Moana are great! They walked us through every step of the way to ensure that we A) didnt kill ourselves and B) we had a great finished product. They were so funny too - we truly had a blast during the whole hour.Typically whatever you make is ready for pick up the next day so its a great activity to do towards the beginning of your trip. Loved being able to have our glass fish as our souvenir/ keepsake from the trip!

We had an awesome time there!!!! Our 13-year old son chose to make a fish and it came out beautiful. His instructor, Tyler, is so patient and good with how he explains each step that our son was very impressed with how his fish turned out and had an absolute blast creating it. This is a must do in Maui. Now We have a beautiful glass piece to display and say our son made that.

It was very cool watching the artisans blowing glass... So much so that we have booked lessons in the next couple of days..... Well.. lesson is done... What a blast... A bit hot... But Tyler was great... And where we made mistakes.. he fixed them ....looking forward to seeing the results!!!!

Very friendly staff. Artist is on site and welcomes you in. You can pay to make a piece and learn how to do the process! Friendly staff are with you the entire time to walk you through the entire process. The piece you made is yours to keep and its cooled off and ready for pickup the next day! Dont want to make one no problem. The artist has many pieces for sale including jewelry, glasses, and large sculptures!

We paid for the hour instruction with two pieces. It exceeded my expectations. They let you do enough to where you feel like you are making your piece, but step in enough to where its impossible to fail. So that you walk away with a nice piece and a fun experience.

We had a great time creating a piece with Tyler that we will always remember. Employees were super friendly and helpful. Definitely would recommend this experience for anyone that wants a piece to remember their trip to Maui.

This is one of the coolest places we ever went to over several trips to Maui. My 10-year old daughter did a private glass blowing lesson and got to take home the item she made. We bought a few pieces they made as artist and it was done very well. Their turtles are a true work of art and worth the price if your love for the islands includes turtles. We tell all of out friends who are headed to Maui that blowing glass is a must do!

They can set you up for a glass blowing lesson where you can make a beautiful fish, bowl, float, etc. Wonderful experience. Loved it!

We let the kids do this one on their own as it is a little pricey. It was totally worth it. The staff and artists are very friendly and helpful with a sense of humor. You pay by the peice you want to create..$150 to 500 for the beginners with add ons of course.

Mike was a great and patient instructor. I had so much fun and cant wait to pick up my bowl tomorrow. The studio and gallery pieces are beautiful and the staff could not have been nicer. I will treasure the piece and look forward to using it. Mahalo!

We have been coming to Maui for years and wanted to do something different this year. We signed up for the one hour class, with each of us making a fish. It was so awesome! The instructor was so helpful and we LOVE our fish! All of the staff is so friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend this experience for anyone in Maui. It only takes an hour, and you have such a special, unique memory from your trip. We will be making a different fish EVERY year!

Great time. Unfortunately had to wait a while because a large group in front of me arrived 20 minutes late. However I was informed and just hung out and watched. So happy to carry home a finished piece that is special to me Employees were very friendly and helpful.

Enjoyed immensely. We have done snorkel boat tours, sunset boat tours, helicopter tours, road to Hana, etc. The experience of blowing glass and ending up with a piece of art was indescribably wonderful. We have been to Maui twice, Oahu twice, and Kauai six times and experienced so many wonderful things. This experience was only second to a boat tour of the Napali coast on Kauai. That is saying quite a bit. Thank you Moana glass.

Very awesome glass studio. They offer classes where you can blow your own piece. I chose a fish and it turned out perfect. Tyler was an excellent coach. Saturdays 6 to 9 they have an open house and you can watch them create their beautiful art. Extra fun and fascinating.

What an experience! Went glass blowing and my instructor Rodrigo was great! Friendly and patient and made sure we had a great experience. He was happy to let us take pictures and ask questions in curiosity. After your experience you can walk through their gallery which displays art big and small for sale. I was surprise when the owner Ryan came out and started chatting with our group! He was incredibly nice and even Signed a Jelly Fish light we purchased. Glass blowing is a lost art form and when you walk away Moana Glass, you will have a new appreciation for the art.

My family made a fish and a glass and had a great time. A very unique experience I would recommend. I didn’t give 5 stars because my husband told them I was disabled and they said no problem they’d work with me but they really didn’t. I’m sure if I asked for a chair moved here or there they would have but no specific help was offered. Not a great activity if you are disabled but the rest of my family loved it.

We had an amazing time, our teacher, Mike, was excellent!!! Definitely recommend this experience to others. Cannot wait to see our pieces. It is expensive though

We did the class which was incredibly fun and very cool. We made a starfish and had a blast. They walk you through what you can make, the colors, safety, etc. Wear a cotton shirt and close toed shoes. Everything is step by step, and if you do it with someone you take turns doing things. No one is left out. You also get a gallery discount the day you take a class (seems like a thing). They have chairs outside their work area if you wanna come and watch. The people are amazing, the owner(s) are super friendly, and Ryan explains his different glass techniques, and its a great atmosphere. Ryan has a fantastic glass history as well and seems like a true master. The glass is gorgeous, the people are great and the class is so much fun and they make sure it comes out great! We highly recommend it (or just going). Fantastic experience.FYI pieces made in class will not be ready for at least a day, due to cooling, etc. So you might want to budget that in to your timetable. Otherwise they will ship it to you (for a fee).

You can find beautiful glass pieces at a variety of price points. They also have number of different pieces you can make with their assistance and take home later.

One of the best things we have done on Maui, and weve been coming here for 15 years. We took our grandkids and their parents. They worked together to create a beautiful memento. Rodrigo was our instructor and he was amazing, especially with the kids. We will do it again every year we come to Maui.

The class itself was great and the project turned out beautiful but the pressure at the end to buy something else was terrible. They went on and on trying to sell you very high priced items. It ruined the adventure.

What a delightful experience we had at Moana. I have always been curious about the art of glass. Booking this class was informative and totally enjoyed. Tyler was our instructor. He had a great sence if humor, was very patient and took pride in his instruction and the end result. This was a fun activity. The price was a little too steep for making such a small piece. We didnt know that we could make a piece together so we kind of felt like we could of got more bang for our buck if we would have made the fish. The class is only 1/2 hr and the instructor does a lot of the work. Rodrigo was out instructor and he was amazing! Very laid back and great at teaching you what to do next. I would have given five stars if we didnt feel like it was overpriced for what we did.

VERY passionate in sharing his 18 years of experience with us. And finally we met Tyler, the co-owner, such a beautiful character and artist. We were entertained by him through his art creating a BEAUTIFUL mermaid piece. Over 3 hours of intense sculpting to produce perfection.
