FC Boulders soccer club has shaped me as an individual and every season I am excited to play. Soccer has changed my life in so many ways, it has taught me team building, having each others backs, and all around competitiveness as an individual. FC Boulder has helped shape me as a player and an individual, I highly recommend FCB to everyone that is even considering playing soccer.
Dont go here the stole 800$ from us
Great experience for my son and the entire family. The coaching staff is very knowledgeable and we have seen great devlopement in our sons soccer skill set.
Although fc boulder has had it’s problems it has provided me with a great place to be with friends and to get away from reality. I’ve learned that winning isn’t everything but all we need is to have fun, which I do.
I have learned a lot with this club. My goalkeeping skills have greatly matured and and I am a better goalkeeper than I have ever been. All thanks to Chris Bauer, the clubs goalkeeping specialist. I highly recommend this club, especially for younger players looking to learn and master this beautiful game.
Fc boulder is trash. With literally no other options in Boulder players are still leaving. Best couches have also left. Extremely toxic which is really a shame - they had everything going for them.
Be warned. The ref’s are homers. They won’t call flagrant fouls. My son was stomped on by another player. No call. On tow occasions after a whisle, fcboulder kept playing causing more injuries. The boys seemed to revel in dirty play. Not a good club from what I saw. They sportsmanship displayed by fc boulder was disappointing.Keeping it classy Boulder
I would not pay for my child to play soccer here if I was the only decision maker. All of my childs friends from school play on FC Boulder teams so I feel obligated to pay for this even though I do not see the value. My daughters team this season has been extremely poorly managed. The team committed to play a tournament before the school year ever started without ever getting commitments that they would be able to field a full team. They ended up with only 11 players at the tournament and of course 1 got injured. I had asked them repeatedly not to play this tournament and pick something the team could attend after school started. The organization, FC Boulder, then refused to honor their commitment for this team to play a 2nd tournament this fall even though I received emails from the coach and the team manager indicating that we would play another tournament. Ultimately, I paid $1,300 for 8 to 10 weeks of soccer with no tournaments that we could attend. I have provided pro-active feedback as I see poor decision making and money being wasted to no avail. My youngest child is extremely talented at soccer and FC Boulder will not be an option for her. I will look at every other league from Longmont to Lafayette to Boulder to find a club that is more effectively managed.Like an earlier reviewer mentioned, there are bullying problems on these teams. The coaches are either oblivious or turn a blind eye. Either way, the club does NOTHING to team build and foster a team environment. I have seen no signs that FC Boulder really cares about their teams beyond the checks they receive. I would expect a club organization to send leadership out to evaluate players and coaches periodically and provide feedback (by viewing a game and a practice each season) for the purpose of improving the coach and team. I have not witnessed this occurring and since my childs team still cant pass after two years (and these players are 14/15 years old), I suspect this is not going to change.
FC Boulder Soccer creates an extremely toxic environment for young kids to learn sports. They are more concerned with putting your kids down rather then allowing them to have fun. Bullying is rampant within the separate teams and they fail to see that as a problem. Not only that, but their communication is medieocre at best.
FC Boulder has failed again and put our children at risk. FC Boulder hired a coach, Phil Hufstader, who had a prior history of sexual contact with minors. FC Boulder failed to thoroughly investigate his past, and put this monster in a position to hurt and take advantage of children. FC Boulder allowed him to take his teams on road trips without adequate adult chaperones where he was free to manipulate and prey on young girls. FC Boulder needs to be held accountable for their failure to provide a safe environment, and enabling this person.Im not sure how any parent could trust this club. Please read this from the Boulder Daily Camera before your consider FC Boulder:Former Boulder youth soccer coach Philip Hufstader engaged in a months-long sexual relationship with a 15-year-old player before being caught in the act by the girls mother, according to a grand jury indictment unsealed Thursday.Hufstader, 35, was indicted June 15 on one count of sexual assault on a child by a person in a position of trust. He turned himself in to the Boulder County Sheriffs Office on Wednesday.According to the indictment, which Boulder District Judge Bruce Langer unsealed at a hearing Thursday morning, Hufstader and a then-15-year-old girl had a sexual relationship between March and August of 2017.The girl, who was on the FC Boulder youth soccer team that Hufstader coached, testified before the grand jury that Hufstader began giving her free, private lessons. The girl testified that she and Hufstader — who was married at the time — would then have sex in his car after those lessons, at hotels during team trips, and at least once at Hufstaders house. On Aug. 27, 2017, the girls mother showed up at one of the private lessons to watch, but found her daughter and Hufstader having sex in his car. She reported it to FC Boulder, and Hufstader resigned shortly thereafter.Police obtained cellphone records that showed Hufstader and the girl exchanged thousands of text messages and photos.Boulder Deputy District Attorney Michael Petrash said during Hufstaders first court appearance on Thursday that a girl in North Carolina has also come forward and said she had a similar relationship while he was coaching there. At his last two spots, he perpetrated on young girls he was entrusted to be the coach of, Petrash said.
Hardlye a non-for-profit.... executives making $100k+.... care only for themselves and how they look vs Real, Rapids and national clubs. Got sucked in early and have made the mistake of conitnuing to write Outrageous $s checks to an organization that doiesnt deserve it.I would NOT recommend FCB to family, friends or anyone. Thankfully, there are other choices.
