Cant wait for this place to open up again!! Absolutely one of our favorite places to go with my four year old!!! We both enjoyed the slides the most! It seriously blew me away by how fast some of the indoor slides were.
Arcade was ok, but definitely limited. Would recommend laser fun zone above this place for the arcade. We didnt eat or play laser tag, but the 2 bounce houses were a little underwhelming. The jungle gym with impressive slides was a hit with the little ones. This place would be a blast for a birthday or other party though.
Great place!! Bouncy houses, arcade center, safari playground, message chairs and good food!! My husband took our daughter over to the arcade center, while I enjoyed a massage in one of their many message chairs. Afterward we grabbed some food and hubby had a bacon cheeseburger and awesome onion rings, and my buffalo wings were great!! Overall a fun place for the whole family and a nice option for a cold rainy day10$ got us forty tokensMost meals were between 7&13$ (large portions)Beer is served here as well.
We just love it here. The employee with the red hair (girl) working today is outstanding with her customer service. Everything is very clean! Kids had a blast. I’m sad that they went down to 2 bouncy houses but we still love it here! Great value (Also, they offer a military discount! Awesome)
My son has a blast. The climber is cool but I cant see my kids inside so sometimes I dont know which side they are coming out. The arcade games are ok too but majority of them were out of order. My coins kept getting stuck in some of the ones that did work. The food was extremely expensive. But over all it was a great place to take my son to burn off energy.
I have taken my daughter here during the week a couple times with her friend and it was not too busy. Can’t beat seven dollars for the admission. However with the play area being five stories high in areas you can’t see through you often cannot find your child. They put a stamp on your hand and your child that supposed to be matching and they do not check it when you leave the facility. We went there today on a Saturday and it was pure chaos. At one point I could not find my child and was running around screaming like a maniac with my heart pounding. Adults are also running around through this maze and who knows what could happen to your kid in a non-see-through tunnel? Somebody could walk out the front or back exit with your kid!!! Nobody is watching the exits. The food took one hour and four minutes after I reminded them two times. The guy who I’m assuming is the only person back there cooking came out and asked me if I wanted bacon or anything on my potato skins? I said will being that on the menu they come with cheese, bacon and chives yes I would like it. They came out with cheese and bacon, no chives! My sister ordered before me and after checking 30 minutes later was informed her food would be out and then the person who is doing the cooking came out and told her they were out of the boneless wings she ordered. How did the people taking the order not know this?! After a hour total wait her food came out and she got supreme nachos instead of boneless wings. They were cold. Her pretzel she ordered was hard as a rock and she had him redo it and it took him four tries. Then she was informed they were out of the dipping cheese. I also ordered a Cabernet Sauvignon And the girl behind the counter said what is that? I said it’s a wine. She said is it red or white? She said I don’t know anything about alcohol. I’m sorry but if you’re working in a place that serves it you should know what is on your menu. Also do NOT refrigerate red wine!! We won’t be going back. It’s too much of a risk of having your child kidnapped or hurt! Shouldn’t have a bunch of people who seem like they’re under the age of 20 working by themselves in an establishment like this where children’s safety is at risk.
Door states they are open until 8:00pm, but when we arrived at 6:50pm the entire building was closed. There was a young lady inside, but she quickly ran to the back part of the store. Not good when our 1 and 4yr olds were so excited to go there.
Over priced for what they have, old lactation way better. They should give a choice of all day or by the hour for a lower price.Wont be back.
Was nice to get out and do something but this place could do better. Foods not so great and expensive. Couple spots of the play gym are really dark. The room with blow ups is boring all around. I would take the kids again is we had a discounted price become available
Lots of new improvements from previous visit. All new arcade games and they have Coke now too.
Teenagers ran the place. Food orders took forever and then were wrong. The party was booked a month before yet the room was not set up, we had to beg for utensils. No napkins, etc. The teens were too busy making drinks for themselves behind the counter and socializing with each other and gossiping about CUSTOMERS. Too busy to wait on customers. We saw ABSOLUTELY NOONE above 19 years old. Absolutely would not recommend for another FAMILY party.
Well kept, friendly staff, & my lil ones favorite place.
The set up is cute. I dont like that they serve alcohol or that the person who is supposed to check the hand stamps gets distracted and a child could walk right out or be taken out by someone else. With it being a jungle gym you need to be watching very carefully to be able to watch your kids and some better security measures would be very helpful.
Not overly safe in terms of security. Potential for kids to be kidnapped or leave without a parent. Like the Stamp system at chuckecheese is more secure than their system. But the place itself is incredible. Super cheap and tons of fun for the kids and the staff is pretty lenient and helpful. Pizza was burnt this time but usually not that bad.
The kids seemed to have fun but I would not recommend eating here. The food is what youd expect from a place like this but the service is exceptionally subpar. They got one of our orders wrong and it took them 45 minutes to fix it so everyone else had been done eating for quite awhile and the employees were very apathetic about it. I paid 50 dollars for about 30 dollars worth of food and had to keep asking for the food. Eat before you come or just wait to eat until you leave and the place seems nice enough for the kids.
Was there yesterday for my nephews birthday party and the service was horrible. First off no one had anything ready such as the plates, food cups or anything. We had to ask for it which was supposed to be supplied with the party. We ordered an extra pizza which they charge $17 bucks for and meat is extra so I said ok. Everything is overpriced. I got a mikes hard lemonade which she brought me a dirty can and I had to ask her to clean it. The old Charlie Safari was better than this set up and this was very disappointing. I will not be recommending this place to anyone anymore. I also will not be returning with no kids.
Great place for little kids. Doesnt cost a fortune, and the kids have a blast.
You get charged over a dollar to use your debit card to pay for admission! However, there is no advanced warning posted about this in tye business or online. The staff are not knowledgeable about anything and when asked to speak to a manager, got blown off. It is already overpriced to come here, but passing the cost of taking credit or debit cards on to the customer with no warning is awful! Wont be back.
I love this place! I took my 2 nephews and my niece there. They are ages 3 to 12. We all had a blast, parents included. This playground/ arcade/ bounce house is well priced, and super fun for all ages! Fun climbing area and slides and bounce houses!!! Adults are allowed on/in the playground to play with their kids, unlike McDonalds. I planned a baby shower there as well and they were super helpful with answering all my questions. The staff is really kind. We all had such a good time, we will be returning many times Im sure
Charlies safari has revamped their look and updated some of the games, also the food is pretty good. fun place for kids and adults
Went here on a friday evening. We stayed for about 3 hours and the kids had a blast. For a 3y/o, 4 y/o and 3 adults the total was under $17. I think that was a great value. My only complaint was how long it took to get our food when the place had very little people. The kids were to busy to notice though.
Excellent play-place for a great price. Friendly and welcoming staff, amazing climbing area and bounce houses, and a good assortment of fun arcade games. Staff keeps everything clean. It isnt crazy and over-loud like some of the other places. Couldnt be happier with Charlies Safari.
We went there for somewhere fun for our toddler to play and have fun in the rain. The staff was super uncooperative to the lady who was there before us trying to check in for her daughters birthday party. Her arms were full and she could barely balance her baby and all of her stuff. Rather than letting this poor woman set all of her stuff in the party room and come back to pay, they made her do all of it there. Not once did they apologize for the lack of proper communication from her calling them when she set it up to when she checked in. That should have been our first clue to leave. When it was our time to pay there wasnt anything posted that told us about an additional card service fee. They really just seemed to care about herding people in like cattle.Once we could finally go in it was best described as pure chaos. No one offered to tell us where anything was, we had to figure it out on our own. I enjoyed the old Charlies Safari before they moved. Well laid out with a section for smaller kids and bigger kids and the staff seemed to care. It also was a lot cleaner too. With the play structure a free for all for toddlers and bigger kids it was very overwhelming at this location. Our toddler HATED it. Within 10 minutes he was ready to leave, he even grabbed his Dads shoes and handed them to him and begged us to go. Needless to say even if our friends have kids who have a party there we wont be going. Not worth it for our toddler to be miserable.$18 isnt expensive for an afternoon of potential fun but it is if you dont stay. The staff should have offered some sort of a refund since we didnt even get to use any of the toys. We tried to get him to climb around or use the bounce house and he just cried and wanted to be held.We wont be back. Maybe another family enjoys that kind of chaos, ours clearly does not.
A Great, affordable place to take younger kids. Features a maze-like jungle gym with tall slides, bounce houses, an arcade area, and Lazer tag. I bring my toddler (2.5 yo) here, and I am able to accompany him throughout the facility and help him through the obstacles.Kid-friendly food is available for purchase, too!
Well, my daughter loved this place for her friends birthday party! However they were not aware of a zipper in the roof of their play area and my son, being 5 with autism, was playing the and saw the zipper and climbed on the roof I grabbed him by the shirt and pulled him back through before he could fall to his doom though... I sure hope they secure that! Would be a fun place to go though if it was safer...
The price and stuff are great. However, itd be nice to see the staff wiping down games and toys throughout the day.For long term it’s be nice see them find a designated spot for storage instead of being able to see it while climbing through the big toy and behind the bouncy houses. There are some pretty big dust bunnies going on in there. Some repairs need to be made inside the bouncy house with the slide. It’s coming apart. Under some of the games I noticed hadn’t probably been cleaned in awhile and lastly getting the ticket counting machine fixed. Poor girl had to count them by hand.
A little small. But Kids enjoyed the time.
Nice place to take little kids to burn off energy. Somewhat like a local Chuckle Cheese. There is bounce houses, a jungle gym type climbing and sliding area, and games. They have pizza and snacks. You can get drinks for kids and beer for adults.
A fun indoor play place for kids. As a mom of three kids finding something indoors we can do when its cold and rainy can he hard, but this place doesnt totally break the bank. You can seriously spend hours here. You might lose socks though. Or maybe thats just my kids
Kids have a great time and you cant beat that.
My 4 year old daughter had a blast we plan on going again for her birthday
Through my kid loves playing at this place there are some things that can be improved upon. The seating/eating areas need to be monitored and cleaned as needed. Weve been here almost 2 hrs and there is still trash and old food on multiple tables and food scattered all around the floor. No one has come around to monitor or clean anything. The bathrooms should be monitored better as well. They are nasty and have urine all over toilets. Last time I was here a little boy opened the back door by the jump houses and I had to go run outside to get him. His parent should have been watching too but it was too easy for him to get out no alarm went off or anything. Being that this is a place for kids more effort should be placed on cleanliness and safety.
This was a pleasant little place. Theres quite a bit for kids to do and ample seating for the adults.
My toddler likes playing here. It was a bit run down and empty on week days, but they recently remodeled & its nicer now. There are climbing structures, arcade games & bouncy houses. New massage chairs facing the climbing structures! They serve food & drinks, including wine & beer. Military discount & 20% off coupons in the mail. You get $2 in tokens with entry fee.
My daughter (4 yrs old) loves this place. They have a little of everything here, play structure, bouncy houses, arcade, and lazor tag. I think the thing she loves the most though is the fact that parents (AKA me) are allowed on the play structure. Their prices are pretty fair. And unless you go on the weekends, theyre typically not too busy.
Its like a big McDonalds playplace but better. They were helpful with a problem I had with my gift card and very forgiving. We only go on Tuesdays though because its half price, otherwise its just too expensive!
Good time for the 1/2 price admission. 1 oclock on a Tuesday pretty much had the place to ourselves. Pretty cheesy arcade games from the late 90s lol
My handsome little guy loves the place and it makes me happy to see him happy ...
It was real fun for me and my one year old niece. I was worried that I might have not been able to follow her in some of the places she was going in the fort, but with my 175 lbs, I followed her everywhere. We had a great time. She wouldnt want to leave.
Really bad safety measures, they gave up with the amount of people handwritten out that we came with and have to show the staff before we leave. also her the employee saying they were out of soap and were going to put hand sanitizer in the bathroom and hopefully no one will know.
Fair priced, clean, great for kids of all ages!
Great concept thats poorly executed. Doesnt seem to have anyone in charge or managing the place. More than half of the arcade games are busted and the working ones are run down. The prize selection is almost empty and while sitting here there are 10 tables left unclean with multiple staff working the front desk (a one person job). We have had better results here in the past, unfortunately this doesnt seem to be the case anymore.
Expensive but FUN & very Big! The pizza is thumbs down but if you like cardboard!I did watch a Mgr on duty come in, then go outside, then in, & out a couple times. No smiles, no greeting, no Nothing! Funny thing too, I had left two prior inquiries both in person but my initial inquiry provided my PH # for a call back, that I never did get & this last time that I heard my inquiries conveyed yet never addressed with me. Just the doggish grumpy prison warden, do not look at me persona! She even looked me in my eyes & walked right past me without a word!Totally uninviting & blatantly rude!
The reviews scared me. BUT I still went there and I am happy I did. My 2 year old loved it. The whole facility was super clean, the staff super nice and the prices werent bad at all. We will definitely go back. It was super fun :) this will be one of our go to places from now on. I have no idea why so many people wrote bad reviews but I am glad I didnt listen to it. Its a great place and we had a blast :)
Noisy, lots squeals and laughter. Children enjoying themselves. Environment is clean and enjoyable. Had birthday party with reserved room. Recommend. Food was good.
The jungle gym and bounce houses are fun and theres nice little rooms for birthdays. Unfortunately, 80% of the arcade machines are broken and ate a very large portion of our tokens or didnt even give any tickets, if it worked at all. Why there arent signs on their broken machines is beyond me, but they at least replaced the tokens...with more tokens. They gave me some tickets to replace the missed ones too at least. But in the end, it boiled down to everyone waiting in line for the one working gun on the peanut gun to come out with anything. Oh, they have laser tag too, I personally didnt get to do that, but the kids seemed to have lots of fun in there. I was certainly more upset than the kids were, and since they still had fun is why this got 3 stars and not less.
For adults, way easier for kids five and older. Its a lot harder when you have little ones who are alone. Birthday parties are great here. Better than Chuck e cheese. But it was easier for me as a parent because I have an 8 year old and 6 year old. So the older looks after the younger. If you have no intention of going into the play area, and your child is under 5, dont let them go in. I saw a little girl today, maybe 3, crying for ten minutes with no help from anyone but me, a random stranger. Food is cheeper if you get a bundle deal. And their machines for receiving tickets is on the fritts.
#1 issue is that the place is nasty. For having the amount of people working there standing around not doing anything the place is disgusting. I have been here twice over a week apart and the same trash, spit stains, and tobacco pouches are in/on the same urinal in the bathroom both times. Bathrooms are nasty and need a full remodel and thorough cleaning. My second complaint is that only about half of the gaming machines work! Along with that the change machine has also been out of order both visits.Third issue is that there is a credit card fee upon entrance. What reputable business still has this?
Good place to take your children other than chucky cheese
Foods expensive and we got ours cold.We came here on a Wednesday during Spring Break. So it was definitely busy, and they were short staffed. Laser Tag was constantly interrupted due to that staff member leaving to go deliver the food. Place was a mess. It was kind of disappointing. Its ok, if you bring a toddler under 2. As an adult your $2 and your toddler is free. Id also probably eat before you come.
Great place for kids to have fun, however, my wife and I were disappointed to not find changing tables in the mens or womens restroom. And in the family restroom the table in there was just a basic table. If that would change if consider renting my review/rating
I read a lot of poor reviews about this place. After going today I can say with no shadow of doubt that the atmosphere and staff are amazing. I have a 4 and a 3 year old that had a blast. I even had a blast chasing after them. The only bad experience I had was when we had to leave. Thank you for this amazing indoor play haven
Theyve done better. They overbooked birthday parties so it was very difficult to find parking. Then it was a ten minute wait in line which between the two made us late. Ive done parties there and staff should be providing silverware but didnt. When I went to get it for the host there were 3 employees standing around talking who told me to get it from the machines. Neither machine had forks which was what I needed. I had to interrupt their conversation again. She fixed the machine and walked off. I needed about 20 but there were only 14. By the time I got back kids were eating the cake with their hands. When I hosted there they were putting clean up supplies in the room far before time ended even though a different person told us not to worry about the time on the room because no one was after us. Also, the amount of dust on the play structure is staggering. Think dustcicles.
A large majority of the games were broken or not functional in some way. Pieces in the playground were broken/torn and seemed to be for quite some time. Chairs and tables, although wiped off were in desperate need of a deep clean and a good scrub. Some attention needs be given to the cleanliness of the entire place. For a place that caters to children and families, I expected it to be more kept up and clean. The staff was very young, but friendly. I hope that the management takes some action on these items, as I feel this will greatly add to a positive experience for the adults who bring their children here.
They didnt have the originally made reservations for the party we were going to. The jungle gym looked neat. But Place seemed run down and dingy, most of the games were broken, food was awful and way over priced. The whole place was expensive for what was provided.
Son had a blast for friends birthday.
Almost every game they had was out of service or just took tokens and no game. Tables are left a mess and they’ve been unattended for at least 45 min since I’ve been here. (Typing as I am leaving). All the drinks from the fountain were not working and only two were spilling out just syrup. All around not good. This is my second attempt within a month of each other hoping that it’d be better, but it’s the same this visit. Two thumbs down. Unfortunately, I had high hopes that this would be the new spot for my family but this is a no go. I have no clue how to add pictures but I would if I could. Horrible.
This is the nastiest place I have ever been to. The is garbage all over the place, floors, tables and all garbage cans overflowing. Our cousin booked a party for their 4 year olds birthday. No host, soda machine down, many games down, ran out of pizza. Ticket counter down. I mean who is the manager of this place? Horrible. I will never come here again.
They say this place is for toddlers but my 2yo wasnt able to climb in the main structure. It had climbing gabs as tall as him and he is tall for his age. Probably ideal for 4+ if you child is younger I recomend the play places at malls.
The play area was awesome, the kids really loved climbing through the different levels. It was wierd having the arcade games in like 5 different areas. 6 machines here, 8 machines there, 5 machines in the corner over there. Seemed a bit unorganized, like they just stuck things wherever they had the space. Pizza was just ok. So overall like 3.5 stars...
Staff is super friendly and place was a blast. Bounce houses and jungle gym are the best, arcade games are not the focus. Birthday rooms are good but a little cramped. We only had 7 kids with parents and the room was packed.
Its a nice way for the kids to burn off some of their energy! And they have tiny wine cups for the adults!
Great place. Needs more employees. Bathrooms needs to be centrally located
Excellent experience! Fair prices!
Kids loved it! Not overly crowded either. Was a fun time!
I am really glad to see that this business reopened! Yes it is a much smaller layout then the old location. But given the space it is just as fun, with the AAA playground, bounce houses, arcade and lazer tag! The food is just as great too, and if you havent tried it yet I do recommended their hand dipped corn dog. During the weekdays they do give the parent price ($2.00 per parent paid) back as a voucher for the food at the watering hole or for arcade tokens. Over all is a wonderful family friendly business that your kids are bound to enjoy, and maybe even want to have a birthday party there.
I brought my 5 year old son in, he had such a great time but in all of the excitement he accidentally peed himself. The staff were so kind in making him feel not embarrassed, and overall very caring and understanding. I love this place!
It’s an overall fun place. Though the new location is smaller and downgraded. Half of the arcade machines are broken. And the laser tag is outdated. But the play area was fun and really enjoyable, I’m just sad they moved it to a new location. The old one was way better
Thought the new location would be better. Its worse. Much much worse. The bouncy area is completely separated from the play area. When in the bouncy area, you have to yell across the table for anyone to hear you. Food is still expensive and gross. Its a great option, for some, that they serve alcohol now. However, it can be a huge catastrophe is they drink and drive with the child they bring.
I think its great! None of the issues below. Weve paid the same amount to go to a place with just the bounce houses so this is a great value. Even our 3 year old had a blast.
Love taking my son here. Very affordable for the fun. In a rainy state like this take advantage of this indoor adventure land.
Could use better management staff seems super young and unable to organize to keep up on important issues like cleaning and fast service when ordering food. Although its still a fun place kids love it.
This honestly is a very amazing place but the food is over priced and you arent allowed to bring in takeout. I know it is just to make money but...
This is a fun place. In my opinion the food is expensive but definitely convenient. The thing that I was most disappointed in is that we pd for unlimited laser tag and there wasnt staff back there in that area at all times. There were times someone had to go find someone to get the games started.
Fun place for children 5+. Not great for younger children. Our 2 yr nephew had to be helped through most of it.
Any idea when it will open ?
We faithfully waited 1 1/2 years for the new location to open. My infant is now almost 2 and there is no small children play area like the old place so our first, possbly last visit was a bust. Theyre are 5 kids in our household, at the same price as the old place, but less bang for your buck.Admission price is simply too high for a play structure and a few bounce houses.
Absolutely the dirtiest place Ive been to. The bathrooms were worse then a public outhouse. Almost all the games were broken . The three bounce houses had tape all over then and were just thrown in a back room . The climbing jungle toy smelled like pee and my kids disnt wanna go in it . This place is sad . The staff were ok but very dull and you could tell they were just there cus they needed a job. They werent happy to be there . I wont be going back . I wish I could give this place no stars . Pictures are of there bathroom
Good for kids maybe add an espresso machine for the parents or uncles
So Much Fun. Everywhere!! And the staff is nice and attentive. The little ones enjoyed every moment
Giving it a 4. Its fun for kids but you really need to go on a weekday during the day. During the weekend its unbelievably crowded. Literally almost all sitting is taken and wish the place was bigger. Has fun prizes and bounce houses.
Cool for kids over 3. No safe place for small toddlers though.
Great place for a family outting. Watch them clean off the place.
Great place for the kids, and surprisingly great food.
Lazer tag attendant disregards rules and let any women cut in line whether they have paid or not dispite informing him others were waiting first. More than half the arcade games didnt work or were not turned on. There is very little seating unless you pay to get a room for 1 hr. The bouncing places were in a dark area right next to an exit, big security risk.
This was our first time at their new location. It is much smaller than the previous one and does not feel as fun. There is no quiet room for the adults to do their homework or business work in. And when 114 rambunctious church students come in all at once it makes for a very crowded and noisy environment that is already in really close quarters .
I think it was a bad move to get rid of the majority of the inflatable jump toys to replace them with video games. Its unfortunate that Charlie Safari is starting to cater to video game entertainment rather than physical activity.
A truly awful experience for our family. First, let me say that we have been to other indoor playground places similar to this on many occasions and had a good time. We even went to the old location once and it was ok. This was especially horrible in comparison. On a weekend afternoon this place was filled with frustrated, semi- inebriated adults and aggressive, poorly supervised children. A few staff were circulating but not providing any improvement to safety. I saw kids throwing other kids to the ground and punching them. In the bouncy houses, kids were getting hurt and there was no assist from adults to break up the fights. In the lobby, parents were yelling and grabbing at kids. Really bad atmosphere all around, not a good place to have fun. Staff were confused, shorthanded and basically not in charge. We wont be back, and I dont recommend it.
This review is for our experience at the old location since this one isnt open yet. This is our go-to for rainy day play with our two kiddos. There is a ton of room just to run, its super affordable, and I loved the adults-only room where it was quiet and I could just observe in peace :) The food is probably something I would improve- it wasnt bad, but was just generally fair type food. Again- not a complaint. It tasted great and my kids loved it, I just like to see more healthy variety at family places.Cant wait for the new location to open!
We always have a blast here. Not sure why there are any negative reviews. It’s clean. Place for breastfeeding moms. Family restroom. Good food and CHEAP. The kids could play on the slides all day long. I’m 25 and had a blast lol!
First time here with two granddaughters. The bounce houses have padding that moves whenever a kids jumped out.UNSAFE.The food was terrible. Fries not cooked very good. Not a lot of seats or tables.Long lines and wait for food and tables. The old place was a lot better.Very expensive. Not a good time for the kids.
Decent little play area but way overpriced.
