Michaels is a great craft store. They always have really good sales and coupons if you sign up on the website. Only thing they dont have is fabric. Which is a downer but they got everything else. Great staff. Always pleasant. They move through the checkout line quickly.

Surprisingly better selection than in Puyallup even with a little smaller foot print. Staff was helpful unless youre working on a craft outside of their categories.

Usually, I can find the good in everything and enjoy sharing positive reviews. However, this experience was negative enough to mention... I went to Michaels specifically to find stencils for my wall. There was a 70% off sale on many of the paints, stencils, and supplies. The paint was clearly marked with a bright green tag and the reduced price. The stencils did not have a green sticker and impossible to know if it was on sale other than a clearance tag on the holder. I spent at least an hour trying to choose the best stencil on clearance. I chose 6 stencils along with 8 paints on clearance and proceeded to the checkout. There was only one person checking out with 3 people behind me. I asked the associate to please make sure these were all on clearance. One at a time the answer was No! I asked her if there was any coupon she could share and she said No! I was going to buy one with a coupon. I had already told her I was a member and she said youll have to go online and get the coupon your self...another time! In my opinion, everything on clearance should be clearly marked and good customer service would have been a positive. This store has really gone down in the past 6-8 months. I went on Amazon and purchased 5 stencils, received them the next day, and they were less expensive than Michaels.

This review is more about the online ordering and customer service as I did curbside pickup; but their item stock/availability is definitely off. I ordered four items, but ended up getting a refund for two of them, which was disappointing as I needed all four items to complete my project. Other than that, they brought out my order promptly, which is nice for those of us that are avoiding going into stores as much as possible right now..

I like shopping here, lots of good stuff. Little expensive I could say, the reason give 3 starts is the store was dirty and lots of dust on the shelves. But the girl was nice and helpful. Thank you

Very great deals right now. Buy one get one half or half off. I did not see any modeling clay, which is why I was there, but I did find some great deals despite that.

Lots of good craft supplies. Staff members are friendly, knowledgeable, helpful. Prices are reasonable (especially sale items).

They have a great selecting and I always fibs what Im looking for but the check out can take for ever. To few checkers and dont bring large bills! If Ive paid with anything over a 20, they have to call a manager for bill verification.

Love this Michaels store. Staff members are always friendly and helpful. Large and clean clean clean store. Tons of variety to choose from. Only reason for the 4 stars is too often they are out of stock of what I am looking for when I am looking for a specific item. That is an issue especially if you want to order online and pick up at the store. The website will tell you that there is limited stock and you have to go in store to pick up and they may or may not have it. Ive run into this issue before covid hit so it isnt a cause and effect of the pandemic.

I like Michaels for their selection of items. You can find just about anything you are looking for. They do have quite a few sales but at times even with the sales price the cost is still too high.

I went into Michaels and was buying multiple things. I had got a $5 reward from them, which she scanned and then said I could use my 20% coupon (which apparently doesnt ring for some reason.) They told me there was nothing they could do, when there should have been offer to fix the situation and there was none. Terrible customer service and it was clear that they didnt want to deal with me (when my savings would have been close to $15.)

Great prices, clean and friendly

This is my favorite craft store. I brought a painting to get stretched and framed in the custom framing dept and was surprised by how much less the price was than what I expected.

Michaels was easy to find with GPS, very clean and organized, and the staff very friendly and knowledgeable. Yet, the store lacked a good selection of models (airplane, cars, trucks, and etc) and model supplies. I was happy to find what I did, but found the prices just a bit high... All name brand so the escalated prices shouldnt have surprised me. Great store for a tremendous variety of crafts, just not models.

This is a good craft store, though it doesnt have a lot of materials for some crafts. It is clean, the aisles are easy to navigate, and the staff is friendly. I wish they had a larger selection for cross stitch and my husband wishes they had a larger leather working section. But 90 percent of the time, you will find what you are looking for.

Shopping for inhome school supplies for a friend but the yarn selection is always SOOO amazing and tempting.

I am not a frequent Michaels shopper but when I do go there I love their coupons. Custom Framing is a bit pricey but they also have great coupons for that and they do a fantastic job.

Found a lot of supplies to use for summer art projects to keep young daughter busy during the summer.

They do not honor pricing or discounts that are set out in ads. The cashier was nice but the stockers and manager seem unkind and like they dont like job they chose.

So empty spots on the shelves but ended up finding what I was looking for fairly easy.

Michaels generally has everything in stock. So many places are constantly out of tons of items, making it pointless to shop there. This particular Michaels store also has super friendly and helpful customer service reps. The same cannot be said for the Hobby Lobby down the street. Michaels also always has a 40% off any regular priced item coupons, and really good sales. You can even take classes there once in a while to learn a new skill, although they could definitely do much more of that, especially on how to use cutting machines like Cricut. Now, if they only had fabric....

They had some good materials but there shelves were bare in alot of places.

I love Michaels but this one seems small and lacks a variety of things. Example instead of 20 storage basket options they have 10, also a lack in decorations for Halloween or maybe its that the inventory is low but whenever Ive been there since the beginning of September they dont have a whole lot and items can be overpriced. They have now moved on to Christmas decorations, hopefully I will have better luck!

Employees act funny in there like profiling people they follow anybody around wether they are stealing or not in my case I was not and they just make you feel uncomfortable

Once youve seen one Michaels youve seen them all, honestly. Smaller building so inventory leaves out some of the more specialized materials available at other craft stores, and things run out quickly. But, if they sell it online you can ship it or have it shipped to the store and pick it up.I go here all the time, they clearly have a shoplifting problem that someone in charge is... not handling great. All employees seem required to follow and monitor customers in the store whenever theyre working the floor. Literally any and everyone there is likely to sense, at some point, that someone is watching them. You look up and someone in a red vest or apron is fiddling with a shelf, avoiding eye contact, and dying a thousand deaths inside. There are excellent cashiers and associates working here, with seriously great attitudes and work ethic. Helpful answering questions, careful wrapping fragile items, all in all just good customer service associates and humans when actually given the time to do that part of their jobs. But lets face it... terrible spies. Just very, very bad at it. Im inclined to think this practice doesnt even prevent the kind of loss comparable to the business being lost from those quickly getting out the door, insulted or even frightened. And the answer is not hiring better stalkers in cheerful vests.Im going to keep shopping here because its the best value and convenience for me, (and honestly I have to see if the whole one coupon a day policy can be cracked somehow, it is so cruel and ingenious.) But I wonder: how many new customers you think would come back after dealing with the lack of available staff, being silently followed through aisles of yarn assumed a criminal, swimming against the current of those bad vibes, when theres a Hobby Lobby less than a mile down the road?

Sad but cant find as much as I would like. Most products are online only now. Im still old school and love to feel and touch the product to make sure it fits my needs and wants.

Great selection of painting supplies and other crafting things. They usually get some really neat things for the holidays. I have noticed a steady decline in the selection of brands and to me it seems like the store is getting thinner and not bursting at the seems with unique items like in recent years. I still enjoy browsing this store however.

I love one day deals. 50% off mesh for my Christmas wreath, 40% off ribbon, and to top it off I used my own 50% off coupon for some small jingle bells. They werent expensive to buy without a coupon, but I love being resoursefull and responsible while taking advantage of keeping as much money in my own pocket.

We needed some items framed, including a cross-stitch my wife did to commemorate our nieces wedding. The staff in the framing department was super friendly and helpful. We wound up with a great matting and frame combination based on her recommendations.

Absolutely love the benefits of being a part of their rewards program. I used a coupon for 50% off any one item...and my friend used a mobile coupon for 25% off the entire purchase. I also purchased a lighted letter B for a dollar! It was on holiday/Christmas clearance sale! The employees were friendly and accommodating. The store appeared clean and tidy. One of the Managers actually walked me over to where the paint for leather was located and gave me ideas for the project. The one thing that I wish could be different would be for like products to be in one area. For example, paint was on at least 3 or 4 different isles or locations. The same for stencils. They were in at least 3 different places. Dont miss out on the great deals and coupons...happy shopping!

Its your basic Michaels store... Theyve made them all very alike these days. They do carry a large variety of products and usually the store personnel are helpful when you can find them. Its a busy place though, so be prepared to stand in line, the biggest downside.

Not a lot of frame inventory right now

They have a good selection of arts and crafts supplies. Anything from beads, to fake flowers, to spray paint, and even framing. Their pricing is reasonable for the most part. The employees there are very nice, polite, and helpful. Also, their website always has coupons for extra savings on your purchases. I will certainly be returning.

First time in (went with niece for her friends birthday gift) found some canvases on sale buy one get 2 of equal or lesser value for free. Definitely impressed with their sale lol. Prices on other stuff were reasonable and a huge selection with various options for the same project idea. Kind of nice to have options to choose from. Will be back again soon I am sure.

They didnt have what I needed last time but that didnt make this a bad place. Of the two options in town for hobby/craft stores, this is definitely the better one. I will say I have often have difficulties with their framing department in that I have had rude / unhelpful / incompetent service and twice I have had to reject / return my custom frame project because they did something different than what I commissioned.

What can you say about a store that has crafts for everyone

Artsy Fartsy place

Its fun to find wonderful things. BUT, I really wish theyd have their coupons last longer as so many of their customers have to travel. Today only is a tease for those of us who have to plan ahead.

Needed to find slot of buttons and they have them in a bag, several colors and sizes too.

They have had just about everything that Ive gone in looking for. From yarn to bamboo rods to afghan hooks. The prices are slightly high, but not unreasonable. Though if you are going in for wood products I would recommend letting them sit in heat for a while before making something or painting/staining as some do still have some sap in them.

Great store for crafts and home decorating. Aisles are clean and everything in its place. Hybrid between JoAnns and Hobby Lobby but clean. One star off because it seems they only ever have one person checking 20 people out.
