La Porte Recreation and Fitness Center

Went here to vote and everyone that works there and the ones working the voting area were all very polite, helpful and even with the masks, you could tell they were smiling!

Great variety of group fitness classes that can be added to your membership (and you get a 10% Discount on most of them)

Nice place, only been there for annual Shrimp dinner fund raiser and this year to vote in 2020 Presidential election.

Great rec center cant use the steam room due to covid - 19 that stinks, but other than that nice b ball gym. Could use another lat pull down and seated row as well as another cable workout area.

I wanted to find a voting location that was on my way home from work and this location fit my criteria. It took me less than 10 minutes, the folks were so friendly and accommodating!

Watching the volleyball game

I would of rated it a 5 stars but you have to have a mask to enter the workout building. Thats a good way of someone to be in the hospital for suffocation to death tho

Voting experience was very easy no problems at this location.

Great place and lots of space to work out or vote

Good to be bak, facility smells like burning compressor belts maybe a/c or something but its a good place to work out n stayn fit. Thanks LP

Horrible staff No cap, I reported someone For not Disinfecting the machines after they use it and she still doesn’t it to this day and staff dont do anything about it, it’s been 2 months since I’ve told them. Half the staff is rude for no reason.

Average. Its cheap, they have a couple saunas and they offer jiu-jitsu. The weights are sub par and they never add anything new to gym equipment.

Great Neighborhood center to workout....

The staff is Awesome! The atmosphere is great

Very clean facility with relatively new machines and weights. The staff is friendly.

Large lap pool, wet and dry sauna, large dressing rooms, weight room, yoga, also has senior citizen water aerobics.

Good people they have working there and it is very clean

Went there to vote

Love the people and the atmosphere great place to work out

Highly recommend if youre looking to be challenged and get in incredible shape. There are enough facilities for everybody and the fees are amazing!

Enjoy my workout and the pool. The steam room and sauna are great. The people are friendly

Its cool but needs upgrades and more equipment.

Great place, has everything but a spa. That said, steam room and dry sauna on board. Very clean and well maintained.

Trump 2020 :)

Most comfortable gym I have ever been to.

A deluxe family membership for my family of four works out to roughly $25.00 per month and includes the gym, weight room, aerobics room, raquetball court, pool, sauna, and steam room. There is a locker room with showers for men and women. The weekday hours are very accommodating and theyre open on Sundays, albeit with limited hours. The Rec Center is a great value and well worth the money.

Love the water aerobics class there, but water is TOO cold for a heated pool! Will have to stop going for awhile.

The City of La Porte has done a great job with their recreation and fitness center. I have a membership and always look forward to going back.

Clean place to exercise or swim.Just needs to be open on sundays.

You will get incredible results and the best experience while meeting new people and the always make you feel welcomed. I guarantee you will like what you see.

Clean, comfortable and various opportunities for the entire family!

The best place to come and work out. It has everything you can imagine.

Friendly staff. Large amount of cardio equipment thats always clean. Free weight dumbbells go up to 100lb. No squat rack or rowing machine. Clean showers. Has a lap pool, sauna, and steam room as well.

Very clean, very friendly, and we love exercising at this facility.

Great prices and hrs. Wide variety of equipment and rec stuff to do. Clean which always a plus. The only downside it stays packed need to expand.

Great place for a workout, love the pool. Great place to meet new people & make new friends.

Fair prices great atmosphiere and trainers are awesome

Great fitness center. Great equipment, friendly staff.

I love the sauna and steam room

Go into the sauna and look on the floor. This place is dirty and a staph infection waiting to happen. Plenty of people working in here that make a large salary and nobody can run a mop in a sweat box once a month?! Disgusting

Great place to work out.....
