I always wondered about the AMC La Mirada 7 theaters, I hear its high end and different from your traditional Amc and Edwards theaters. I even told people that its a great movie theater, that the food stands even serve rotisserie chicken but I dont even know where that info came from Lol...

They upgrade the place, new seats all great.However it was the place as an option to no pay that much money for going to the movies. Specially for folks with several kinds.

Came here for Doug Bensons Movie Interruption and what a fun show - couldnt believe he packed in 1400 people - and it was pretty close to capacity because people couldnt find seats together and were sitting in the aisles!Neat theater, got a little hot upstairs but not too bad, although their directions on where to line up leave a LOT to be desired - they sold good smelling popcorn and cocktails!

AMC 7 La Mirada is one of the plushest theaters in the area. The seats are reclining and are heated as well as have built in foot rests.There is a decent number of theaters and they play the latest movies. There is also a bar which is fully stocked which I rarely see anybody use that faces the front. It;s actually a little awkward to sit there because there is a stream of people that pass behind you coming from the concession stand at times. The theater is not that large so it is rather comfortable and cozy and usually doesnt get that crowded. The menu selection is top notch including some of the best gourmet popcorn I have tasted. Its location makes it easy to go from restaurant to theater to shopping without having to drive anywhere else. This is not a discount theater so expect to pay top prices for the evening shows.

Remodeled in 2018. They put in the nicer seats. They recline halfway and the footrests go less than halfway. But they have seat heaters in them. They also updated the lobby and put in the self serve soda machines. Now that this is a decent theater the prices have gone up to $10.99 for adults. I gave the old theater 2 stars, now I give it 4 stars (subtracted one star for not fully reclining seats)

I came in to watch onward. Thought it was a kids movie. Well the workers must have forgotten that part, because they were playing rated R commercials the movie was set to start at 7:30 didn’t start until 8:05 because I had to go and ask them what’s going on my child was scared to death, as many other’s while there parents were holding there eyes closed and having them cover there faces in there clothes. Due to this I was unable to enjoy this movie with my children because they kept asking about a scary commercial they seen.

Good theatre for family, friends, dates etc.I went on a date with my girlfriend and had lots fun. The employees were nice, and the seating was excellent. I like putting my feet up and laying back while watching a film which the chairs do there

Its a much smaller location than others but theres a certain charm to it. Instead of the full recliners like other AMCs have, these are heated seats that dont fully recline. Id rather have the full recliners without the heaters, honestly.

The place is very clean and they offer 7 screens. We used to come here quite frequently in the past. However on this last visit we discovered that their prices are very comparable to the regular movie houses. We came here because they showed movies that had been out for a while. So they charged a nominal entry fee. Now theyre competing with the big boys and the prices are up there. So if were going to pay higher prices well stick close to home. Theres a place in Anaheim Hills thats big, modern and only $5 on certain days for current movies. Guess where we go now

I was excited to go to this movie theater because I saw they had heated recliner seats. The heat worked amazingly! Unfortunately the seats reclined to a pretty uncomfortable position. If they could’ve reclined back just a little more, it would’ve been great. However, the reason for my rating wasn’t just because of the seats. It was because the screen was messed up during our movie, Doctor Sleep. There was a visible reflection during dark moments where at the bottom of the screen, everything was reflected upside down. It happened with the trailers as well so I know it wasn’t suppose to happen. It definitely needs to be fixed

Excellent movie I still believe there was only three people in there were like 20 feet away but tonight la Mirada is going to be closing after 8 no more open till notice

Old screens with new seats. Comfortable sitting, but the screen brightness was pretty bad. Hard to distinguish color contrast. Also several customers here are not the best mannered (constant texting, answering phone calls, people sneaking in after 20min into the movie)

I like this little theater great popcorn...I always get their Carmel corn...

1/18/20 = 3 star = Small Theater, but nice and clean, They have standing Bar . I just give 3 star coz i had a bad costumer service when i order ticket online and snack . I got their early but got my snack late because they wont give me a bit early .

Great movie going experience! Thoroughly enjoyed the remodel: new theatres with new recliners and new restrooms. Customer service was friendly and quick. Overall enjoyable time with my family watching Godzilla.

Really cool. Expected less when i first saw it. Thought you could hear the bass of whatever movie was playing next door.

Service amazing. But, the food like chicken tenders are not a great and the seating is great has a heater but the seats dont go all the way but the rest excellent.

They renovated and put new reclining seats in.Ha! No.More like they wasted money on seats that lean back to somewhere between half way reclined and halfway sitting up. If this was still a dollar theater it would be worth it....but its not. Better off going somewhere else until they decide to either put regular seats or actual reclining seats. Kids hated the seats more than me.

The remodel of this place was well worth the wait - great seats, even the front room is far enough back to be enjoyable. The concessions can be ordered ahead!

I went to AMC in La Mirada a few times now and its been fantastic! Not sure how long its been an AMC I used to go as a kid when it was the Dollar Movie. But they upgraded everything and it looks nice. Im an AMC rewards member and I take advantage of the $5 Tuesday!

Its come a long way from the Krikorian days for sure. Glad they kept this little theater around, and upgraded with plush recliner seats and a bar to boot.

1st time and I loved the nice clean theaters and the friendly staff! Daniel was extra awesome! In case you want to know about the seats, they are brand new and soft and heated and feel amazing. However they do have a weird reclining feature. They dont go back too far and the feet barely rise. Theyre not your typical AMC seats so be prepared. Overall great experience!

The only thing that I dont like is that now that they have remodeled youre scared that you might not get a seat in your movie of your choice plus theres an extra service charge and so its sometimes forces you to purchase your tickets ahead of time but, then you get there and realize that you could have waited and seen actually were you want to sit with no extra fees. Plus you no longer can get one free refill on your popcorn unless you purchase some package.

The seats need to be more like Puente Hills’ AMC. Those recline pretty good & are very comfortable.The seats here are so weird, that I need to lay across both seats for some comfort. The reclining buttons functions also vary by seats like if they’re rotated. The only good thing is the heat function, which is just gimmicky fun.I miss the old standard black seats, they just worked.

Love the upgrades to this theatre. The reclining cushy seats, the service, and the surround sound make it for a fun experience.

The theater is much improved from the discount theater it once was. Unfortunately the rooms are still small and the staff needs to be a tad more assertive. The last two times Ive seen a movie there, Ive had to deal with kids running up the aisles or screaming and growling throughout the movie. These experiences cant help attendance.

Great seats but they need to recline more and my bigger friend was saying his legs didnt fit well

The smallest AMC I ever visited, this one only has regular digital movies, no IMAX or Dolby. However, the seats are pretty comfortable, and I love the heated seats, which I have never seen in other AMCs. This is a nice neighborhood movie theater.

I would have given them 5 stars so consider this a 41/2 star review. The only thing that I have a problem with is if there is a loud action movie in the theater next to the one you are in and your movie is at a quiet place you can hear the bombs going off and a vibration in the walls.It is a great place otherwise. The alcohol is a bit over priced, but then again it is everywhere.We will go again.

Got there for a 910pm showing and the ticket booth was closed. Went inside to the counter to pay. A guy tells me can you move aside so I can help the people behind you and motions with his hands to move. I say Im purchasing tickets. I was here first thats why theyre behind me. He is shocked and then I purchased. I go inside the theater. I see the chairs look new. I recline and they do not recline all the back and the leg rest does not recline all the way up as well. It was so uncomfortable! Its now 9:16pm and no movie (The Turning). I go outside to let them know. Almost close to 930pm someone finally comes to turn on the movie. This was my first time here and after this experience it will ve my last.

It was our first time there. Its a small theater but we decidee to give it a try. Well, we went in and immediately knew their A/C was out. The cashier who rang us up assured us that onoy the entrance AC was out. That we should be fine in the theater room. So we got our drinks and took our seats. The previews for the movie came on and then the screen went dark. I went to see what was going on and there were so many people in the hall. The entire theater lost power. This has never happened in any other theater before. I was definitely disappointed.

So this comes from a viewer that had gone to this theater when it was not owned by AMC and was the Starplex 7. Dollar hot dogs and $2 movies. It has been spruced up a bit, but the recliners are super weird. They only recline slightly and my gf and I had our legs go numb from the weird angle. Other than that, everything else was cool. I recommend Matinee, since regular showing will still cost you around $12. Oh! Also, coffee is not the best here, but everything else was great!

Good parking, fast concession line, unlimited drink/icee refills. Very nice reclining seats. Only complaint is that the restrooms are way too far from the theaters.

The theater staff seem like good people and were helpful. With that being said seats were broken, and I got to deal with some tweaker sitting in my reserved seat causing drama with me and my wife, cause I asked his tweaker behind to move. Ill stick to Fullerton and Brea.

The staff is friendly and the place is relatively clean. The seats are comfy and there are several theaters. My only complaint is that the reclining seats dont recline very far and the foot rests dont go all the way up. If you are sitting in the first 3 rows it makes it a little uncomfortable. Thats the only thing preventing me from giving it a 5 star.

Since the remodel its 100 percent better. The seats are now comfortable. They offer alcohol if youre into that. A wide selection of movies. A general good time and you can bring the young ones. Plenty of parking.

Ive lived in La Mirada for 5 years now and when it came down to going to the movies, I was always sceptical about going to this AMC theater. Mostly due because of it being in the corner of a shopping center and on how small it looked. Let me tell yall that this place did not disappoint!! Just like any other AMC, you got your snacks, food items, soda/Icee machines, a bar and those comfy recliner chairs!! Most definitely will recommend this spot.

This is a very nice small AMC. There is only about 12 theatres which makes it one of the smaller theatres in the area. There is only one bathroom by the front. The staff are usually pretty friendly but sometimes they are understaffed and there is a wait. What I like about this theatre best is it has excellent seats. You can recline in the movie and even have a seat warmer. This unique feature and the fact that it is never overly busy due to its size is what makes it our fav place in the norner OC area

I love AMC so this brings me no joy in saying I HATE THE SO CALLED RECLINER SEATS. HORRIBLE. THE DO NOT RECLINE AND I HAVE A BACK THAT NEEDED MY LEGS TO GO UP... IT DOESNT... HORRIBLE. I COULDNT WAIT TO GET UP AND OUT OF THE CHAIRS. VERY TIGHT AND I DIDNT KNOW IT HAD A HEATER BUTTON AND I MUST HAVE PUSHED IT AND ALL OF A SUDDEN MY BACK WAS ON FIRE... SORRY AMC U CAN DO SO MUCH BETTER!

Very nice and clean. Looks great now that it is updated. The seats are nice but they can be a little uncomfortable by the end of the movie. But all in all, I had a good experience.

Concession stand was pretty fast. Recliners are not like other AMCs. They barely lift your feet up and barely lean back. Small theaters, kinda nice

It was a typical movie theatre experience. we were a bit confused as to where to go and get our tickets scanned. they should have a sign or a team member pointing you in the right direction. the seats were comfortable but didnt recline as much as wed hoped

Update 2018 - no longer 2 dollars, its 5.99 or so. Not sure bout the hot dogs-----I love that its 2 dollars per person. The hot dogs are a dollar, although not very big. Popcorn and other stuff is regular price but candy is inexpensive, like 1 dollar. Seating is okay, could be roomier. Overall clean and worth the price. Employees are friendly and theres hardly a wait time. They have great arcade games. Its in a plaza that has all kinds of other food places to eat at and a grocery store. Beats the regular prices at the other theaters!

Great cheap Tuesday deals for only 6 dollars!

There were rarely crowds except for BIG A-list movies. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the snacks were great. Now that they are upgrading, well have to visit and see whats changed. Hopefully all for the better.

This is a really old theater. That being said, everything about it is great! The popcorn! The first-run movies! The ticket prices and friendly staff. Love this place!

I love the renovations. It completely changed the atmosphere and made movie watching fun again.

Great theater, sure the actual theater rooms are a bit small but it allows for a more intimate atmosphere, allowing movies to be enjoyed with minimal distractions.The seating however is just okay, while the chairs are comfortable the reclining feature seems lack luster.

Movie was great saw Aquaman. But for the life of me I cant figure out why the foot rest on the reclining seats only goes up like 6 inches. Whats the point?

The closest theater to my home! Reclining seats with ... a heater? Wow!

So I like this place a lot but the chairs they have only recline half way so your feet arent up or down so it ends up being very uncomfortable.

Ive been going here for a very long time Ive seen it be very many theatres come and go and i would say they go because of cleanliness and move theater quality and atmosphere. Thank God amc finally came in to save this theater! The renovation in amazing so clean finally no sticky floors comfortable reclining seats with heat, full concession bar and full mcguffins alcoholic beverage bar. Lastly they finally have recent movies here you could even watch premiers, I think this is the first time this theater has offered that!

Best environment for a good movie

Even after reopening under a different brand, this place is starting to show its age. But you cant beat the price.

This place serves alcohol and has a sushi place next to it. The chairs are somewhat uncomfortable. It doesnt lean all the way back like the amc at the block. It is clean and has friendly staff.

It was nice movies was nice clean heated recliner seats many shops near by would definitely go there again.

Theater is okay for its size, but I prefer Norwalk s better.

Most Uncomfortable seats i ever sat in at a theater. Seats fit real snug and leg rest if you wanna call them that. Only go about few inches off the floor. Leaving legs cramping up. And not at a comfortable position. Never going back.

I give it 3 stars because my seat was not working at all. It was very uncomfortable to watch the movie with my head pushed forward because recliner was not working.

Really! The area may be good but they dont have good screens or sound for latest movies regardless of the discounted price. If you really like to enjoy your movie experience I advise you to go to a bigger and better theater n pay a little more or the same for a matinee. Not worth it I found the floors dirty most of the time. Pity!

I really enjoyed those previous $2.00 & $3.00 days here, and if you recall, at one time they offered a $1.00 senior (citizen) day during the week years ago. But, even though AMC took over I’d rather pay the $5.00 ticket price than $9.00, $10.00 and up elsewhere, about twice the cost charged here. This is a pleasant theatre with a friendly staff offering current films at a good price.Considering the opportunity of tapping into, and assisting, their ‘silver’ community living in the surrounding neighborhoods, the only thing that’s missing is a Tuesday or Wednesday (maybe$3.00) senior discount day of the week to offer a couple of affordable hours of entertainment to those living on a lean monthly social security check. Plus, I’m sure many of them are also Korean and Vietnam veterans who would appreciate the senior citizen discount.

The new reclining chairs are very uncomfortable and do not recline enough. It puts you in a very uncomfortable position. Other than the chairs its an okay theater. Nice staff. The Caramel and Cheese popcorn when fresh is the bomb!!

This theater has a great staff. The drinks are awesome. Love the prices.But your restrooms are the worst. Please clean your restrooms . The floors are sticky .Smells bad .Nothing works .Nasty and dirty restrooms .Your chairs recline weird .

Staff was extremely rude. Recliner seats were horrible hurt my back. Very unsanitary, I was stepping on popcorn everywhere, there was trash stuck in the seats, and the bathrooms were dirty. There are no chairs or seating anywhere in the lobby or outside so you just have to wait til you go into the theatre to sit. Worst of all I came home and threw up multiple times due to food poisoning. Overall besides the movie, horrible experience.
